They have an entire paragraph describing their Sicilian sandwich. They are supposed to use 'special ciabatta bread' which is coated with olive oil and grilled on the outside, soft the inside and 'loaded' with Turkey, Ham and Salami with lettuce, banana peppers, tomato and cheese with two sauces. Boy did that sound good!!! I paid the extra money to have it delivered by DoorDash and got an entirely different sandwich! My sandwich was soggy pita bread, not even toasted. There were 3 slices of meat in total on the entire sandwich which were on one side of the sandwich. I took a few bites and opened it up. Void of meats, a few flakes of lettuce and diced tomato, no cheese and doused in salad dressing. What a huge let down! They either need to change their menu to reflect what they are really selling or get out of the restaurant business altogether. These places can't keep blaming the 'lack of staff' excuse any longer. We had a very busy day planned. We decided to stop for lunch. I was done working by 11 today!! I love days like that. We have been talking about trying The Stuffed Bun for quite some time so today was the day.. I thought it was a burger joint haha. It's definitely not. Breakfast, brunch, and lunch. They close at 2. He got a BLT and I got a Cobb salad. His BLT looked a bit boring but he said it was good. I don't think it was very special. My salad was huge and full of chicken and crumbled bacon. It was delicious. I could only eat about a 1/4 of it I am picky about my dressing. Jets has the best ranch (they make their own). Mr Paul's has the best Caesar dressing (made fresh right at your table). Buddy's has the best vinaigrette (they make their own). I'm still looking for the beat Chunky Blue Cheese. If anyone know of a place with great Blue cheese let me know! Anyway, I digress. The atmosphere was great and the service was very fast and friendly. When we do lunch it's usually to spend time together so we typically take our time. They were pretty busy but they kept our drinks coming. They didn't rush us at all! Fabulous! This is a nice looking place, however I am only basing this low star off of cleanliness. The floors are so dirty, it looks like there was a flood in this place and they casually mopped up leaving residual muck all over. The menus are filthy. The condiments are full of gunk and are very sticky. It's very dusty in there as well. The breakfast wasn't bad at all, it was a little greasy, but decent and the price was very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I'd say it's one of the cheapest breakfast options in the area. Walking into this place there is a bunch of different random decorations around the restaurant. Service was kinda slow took about 10 mins for the waitress to come and even take are drink order. It had 3 tiny thin short pieces, not even strips or slices of corn beef and over loaded with cold slaw which was turning bad! . I scrapped off the cold slaw to eat it as. Was super hungry due to fasting for blood work . The good news it had friendly staff & clean. It was built and seemingly ready to let us in but just kept on teasing!! Got to the point where all of us said "YEAHHH OPENING SOON"! Well, I'll be darned but it's open and I am happy for waiting! Many a carry out but trying to sit down and enjoy the environment. They are actually opened till a reasonable hour and the personnel on duty are kicking butt! On this most recent visit I learned they are discontinuing their Texas toast option and this just makes me sad. If you are going to open up a restaurant, you really do need to make sure your guests first few visits are outstanding. This is especially true in the diner/family restaurant area. Stuffed Bun in Shelby Twp failed at their first attempt. First, it looks like they were making an attempt at social distancing. I thought there were too many people, too close together. Menus were not cleaned after use. Most of the staff were masked up properly. Our server was not. The food tasted ok, but was barely warm. Our server was not attentive at all. No eye contact. If you needed something, you had to get her attention. No follow up with her guests. She was running all over the place, but not paying attention to her guests. To be honest, because they are located so close, we will probably try them again in a few weeks. But if our socks are still on, we won't be back. read more

They serve underwhelming food. It's a Coney Island that orders your standard food service food and serve it in a mediocre environment and staff is not excited to be there. The omelette was greasy and the hash browns were undercooked and not even hot--warm at best. Coffee was awful. The place is new but the coffee tasted like three day old swill. Do not go here! The service was slow, staff was texting and sitting down at a table. My food arrived first and my husbands didn't come for what felt like 10 minutes later. I watched the waitress deliver one plate at a time to the only other table with customers with several minutes between each plate as well. My Reuben was disgusting- made on white bread with American cheese. I tried to eat it, but could not. The waitress never asked how the food was- probably didn't want to hear the answer. We have been frequent patrons of Stuffed Bun since it opened and have recommended it to others. Tonight that changed and to say the workers in the restaurant even cared would be a lie. Our order was wrong, omelette had runny egg juice inside and uncooked meat, the hash browns were raw, toast was pure white, new kind of chicken fingers were like sawdust and the quality and atmosphere overall was simply terrible. New ownership is obvious and when we picked up our carryout there was only 1 family at a table which was not typical in the past. When we returned with our undercooked meal they threw $10 towards us and not a word towards an apology or an offer to make it better. Young workers in the kitchen messing around and appeared to careless about the quality of the food going out and the people that keep the doors open. Super average meal, poor service & confusing atmosphere. My meal wasn't prepared the way I asked. I didn't want to complain so I ate around it. The waitress never came back to see if I needed a drink refill & the restaurant was basically empty. I described the atmosphere as "confusing" because there was lattice with vines hanging over the counter, then a motorcycle mounted on the wall, a picture of Einstein & then sea shells. Weird. I'm have been wanting to try the Stuffed Bun restaurant for awhile. I arrived at 7:50 am to find the sign saying it opens at 8:00 am - no problem. As I waited till 8:00... no lights on in the restaurant and a worker doing something in the back room At 8:05 I knocked on the door and the employee looked at me and walked away. It doesn't appear that they were interested in opening up on time or greeting the public. As I walked away to go to another place, another customer also showed up, knocked on door, but wasn't given entry either. The location is relatively new, and we waited a few months to give it a try. Upon entering, the location has a nice clean look, with a darker decor that was appealing. The staff was average, friendly enough but not as attentive as I like as refills were missing at the times needed. For food I had the Fish and Chips, with a Cup of Lukewarm Lemon Rice Soup, and my partner had a Yero Platter w/ a Side Salad. The side salad and the chips ( season fries), we good. The fish was a large portion but very over cooked and dry. The Yero also was overcooked and served with whole cherry tomatoes and rice with an abundance of sauce. In general, I might go back for breakfast to give it a try, but at this point I feel we have to many other options for a simple meal.
