I've never had a bad experience here, and the only "negative "thing I can say about it is that sometimes there's a very long line/wait. If you're in a rush or if you're coming during a time that's pretty busy it would not be recommended. However, if you have time or you are not a rush, it is absolutely worth it. read more

All of their drinks and food were fantastic! I had their house made chai which was super good, more on the sweet side. A friend had the frosty special coffee - what a delicious blend!! We each got bagel egg and cheese sandwiches which were awesome. The oat and honey had a hearty but sweet taste, one of the best bagels I've had in a long time. All of the staff was super friendly and sweet too. It gets a 4/5 star rating from me because they have honestly outgrown this location. The line was SUPER long. It moved quickly but it was still a 20min line and their wasn't a ton of space for the line inside, as it filed amongst the sitting space. And because of the set up, it was very cold while dining. If you guys move to a bigger location that can service a bigger counter and assembly line, you guys easily have 5 star quality product. read more

Excellent. My friend and I visited Sturbridge Coffee House a few days ago. I had been once before just for coffee, this day was for trying a sandwich. Because of Covid-19 they have set things up a little different. They have one door to enter and the old entry has become the exit. Upon entering they have hand sanitizer and menus are displayed before you get to the order area. I picked the world famous BLT with a frozen latte (chocolate mudslide flavored) and my friend ordered a hamburger and an iced pomegranate green tea. We went outside to the picnic tables to wait for them to call our name. They have converted one of the original windows into a order pick up window. Both of our orders were excellent! I will say this is the first time in my life I've ever ordered a BLT at a restaurant. I usually don't trust that they will be good!!! There was lots of bacon, some romaine lettuce and beautiful fresh red tomatoes (not those pink supermarket ones) in my nice hearty toasted bread (I had a choice of 3 different breads to pick from). Went here a couple of mornings during a weekend trip to the area for a wedding. The coffee is definitely the best in the area. It was very busy, but the service was still pretty good for a counter service coffee house. It's a nice place to just grab coffee or sit and talk with friends or family for a bit - very quaint on the inside! read more

I used to love this place -- tasty food, good coffee, great local business. So then Covid hit, and at first, SCH worked hard to make it work. They set up ordering by phone and pick-up at an outside window. It was wonderful, Covid or no Covid, and made it accessible to everyone. Over the last month, they've blocked all orders not made inside, in person. This may seem minor, but a lot of the longtime loyal customers have kids under 12, or have other Covid concerns, or accessibility challenges/disabilities, and are trying to be responsible by not waiting in a cramped room packed with people for 15-20 minutes to order. We've relied on being able to order by phone, always grateful and tipping hardily. But for several weeks, SCH has taken the phone off the hook, regardless of how busy they are. After calling repeatedly with no answer (over several weeks), we've asked at the window (when they weren't busy) if we could order by phone, and they just... laughed. Why? We asked what happened to phone orders, and they said they didn't feel like doing it. Writing Yelp reviews isn't my first choice; I would rather talk to someone privately. But guess what the ONLY mode of communication with SCH is? Yep, the phone. Which is permanently off the hook. Maybe you think this is a stupid complaint. Regardless, I'm not alone. Moms groups, frequent customers, new customers -- it's a point of consistent frustration. I used to go to SCH every day, and I introduced a handful of friends to what a wonderful, family-friendly place it is. But, it's not anymore. I hate that I'm not going to go again. read more

LOVED this place!! Vibe was very cozy. Tried the Sanchez, bagel was a little doughy some areas but overall taste and experience was yummy. Also tried blueberry and vanilla/chocolate with Oreo on top muffin tops. So good!!! Got the Coconut Haze shaken espresso, delicious and had coconut flakes on top. We love it here - fresh brewed coffee flavors are my go to and I often grab a cute pre filled mason jar of cold brew. Bring an empty cold brew mason jar back and save on the next order! Lines get swamped at peak hour and the call ahead can be a long hold- rest assured they are working on online orders. Staff is so kind and warm. Cant recommend a better local coffee place! Loved this coffee shop stop over on my way towards eastern Massachusetts. A homey and warm environment, they have delicious breakfast sandwiches and coffee lattes galore. I went with the simple almond milk latte (btw normally go for the largest size but theirs is XL and humungous - love that they have this option!) and an everything bagel with egg and cheese. It was the perfect start to my day and I would love to return here at some point. They also have a beautiful outdoor seating area which is perfect for these time and social distancing. read more

I go here multiple times a week. Best coffee in the state in my opinion. Fabulous food. There are some other lovely coffee shops in town but this is the only one that feels really family friendly and I bring my 4 year old son ALL the time. He has the best time getting a juice box and playing with the trains. This is vital for mama's mental health haha! I get to enjoy my coffee while he's occupied. Gorgeous new outside area- can't wait for summer to return so I can bring my dog again every Saturday! Oh my goodness. Where to begin. We stopped here on our way back to Boston, and when I say best breakfast bagel I've ever had, I mean it. I asked the lovely employee (Chantel?) what the most popular bfast bagel was and she recommended (I can't for the life of me remember the specific name). Face palm. It was a jalapeño cheddar bagel, jalapeño cream cheese, amazing quality bacon, fried egg and cucumber. Yes cucumber. When she saw my doubt she said "go with your gut!" And so I did. And now my gut is happy cause it was amazing. Soft warm bagel, great bacon, perfect tiny bit of heat... people don't realize how hard it is to find a decently unique and solid breakfast bagel!! So when I find one I'm sure to leave a stellar review. 10/10. Wish I lived closer cause I'd be a regular for sure. It was packed when I got there around 11:30. Boatloads of teens for some strange reason? Nevertheless the service was great, and they were as quick as they could be. Pomegranate green tea was perfect! A hamburger bun with a hole in it is not a bagel. How do they advertise these as "bagels"? Also, as a warning - if you order a bagel with cream cheese, they will toast it - without asking. So when you get on the road, you'll open your bag to find a hamburger bun dripping with warmed hand lotion (or "cream cheese").
