I love coming to Kahului Subway. It's always quick and the sandwiches never disappoint. Sometimes it gets busy but they can handle.

Loving the fresh/modern remodeled look this business deserved. Located across of their previous location, this Subway continues to provide great subs with wonderful service. Their mobile ordering is painless, effective and shortens your time in line! Bottled drinks provided, no fountain at this time.

Horrible service. 4 or 5 people standing around talking and running around, until someone acknowledged us. One person then two then three working on 2 sandwiches one person working on my sandwich leaves mid sandwich to help other customers in line, comes back assumes my sandwich is done... No "thank you, sorry for waiting" Have a nice day. TRY GETTING A JOB where you don't have to multitask. "*BLOWS A RASBERRY"*

Subway at this location is actually very good. They are busier than the others, so it seems a bit fresher than other Subways. They were out of the bread I wanted, but they made my order accurate and fast. I riddled off my order mercilessly, they got it down the first time and they don't skimp on the veggies. Today I had the mango bbq sandwhich with lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, and banana peppers. Tasted great with jalepeno chips and a soup. The downsides to this location are the frequent lines and limited parking. On the plus side, large dining room, and veteran staff. They are also close to Tasaka Guri Guri for an after lunch snack.

What I like about this subway is how clean it is and the nice seating area. The ladies there were very nice as I ordered my sandwich but I will admit the whole process took about 15 minutes just to get one sandwich. For eight dollars I got a 6 inch sandwich, chips, and a cookie. Decently priced but the service was slow.

Horrible service. Employees are very rude. Bag could not even hold the sandwiches and broke when I got out the door.

This a food safety and professionalism issue from 3/23/25 @5PM:…read more A fly was crawling around on my salad while I was waiting to pay. When I notified the staff member who was making the salads, she replaced a part of the salad instead of remaking it and continued using the same gloves afterward. I clarified that fly was one more than that one spot and asked for a new salad please. She appeared visibly frustrated. I did not mind waiting until the person behind me was finished being helped, especially since she was the only other person in line. As someone who has worked in the food industry, I understand that situations like this can happen. However, proper food safety protocol would require discarding the contaminated item and changing gloves before preparing new food. This was not done. While remaking the salad, she whispered to a coworker, who then looked at me and laughed. That really topped of my experience. So my question is would you want to eat that salad?

I usually have my 2 go to's. I do love the Lemon & Thyme Chicken Sandwich (you can ask for it to be in a wheat wrap with no extra cost or Gluten Free wrap which would cost extra). If you opt for the wrap, there's no side salad but if you opt for the sandwich, they should include the side salad and a side of Kimchee Banana peppers. I usually ask for more because portions can be small. The ciabatta bread the sandwich comes in is freshly made on island but can be huge and even if I cut it in half, everything starts falling out so I prefer the wrap at times. The Ancient Grain bowl is my other go to. It's basically a Greek Salad but with Quinoa and Red Cabbage and it comes with Tzatziki sauce and a Lemon Herb vinaigrette. If you love soup, there's a Butternut Squash that's quite addicting, Tomato Bisque that tastes delicious like a Marinara sauce and if I need some protein, I opt for the Lamb Chili. Always ask for a side of Gluten Free or Sourdough bread! The staff here is always so friendly and accommodating. If it wasn't for the point system with my phone number linked, I don't think I'd come here as much. When I accumulate points, I'll usually hit the first tier and get a free cookie or free lemonade to redeem but I've also gotten a free salad too without protein if I eat here more often.

Near the airport and beach access, this is a tourist favorite, although a fair amount of locals have been spotted here. I judge a bakery cafe on their croissant. And Momona's is on point. Fluffy inside, crispy shell and buttery goodness. The second test is their espresso. They use a mass produced bean, but the taste was ok. Has room for improvement here, but I doubt they are marketing to coffee snobs given the volume of patrons getting sweets and lunch fare. My wife loves her sweet treats and this is on her must visit list whenever we visit Maui. Happy wife Happy life. Aloha

The space is beautifully decorated inside an old bank, complete with a vintage vault. Since we arrived late, pastry options were limited. The ham and cheese tart (flaky), brownie (dense/decadent), and coconut slice (chewy) were great. The coconut roll, however, lacked flavor (skip it). Croissant breakfast sandwich & mortadella sandwich were good. The main disappointment was the salmon toast. It looked beautiful and was a large portion, but the two extra poached eggs I ordered were completely hard-poached. When I brought this up, the woman behind the counter flippantly told me, "Yes, this is how we make them." Poached eggs should ALWAYS have a runny yolk & I didn't believe her answer for a second. Clearly they made a mistake they did not want to own up to. I was highly disappointed by her attitude, especially since I paid extra for the eggs.

Mochiko chicken was just sooooo good and the arare crackers added the most amazing texture to it. It had great flavor and Mac salad complimented it so well. I absolutely would love to come back and try more, very straightforward and you order at the window. As I still haven't had breakfast it was just perfect. Not just any coffee bar but a Filipino inspired flavors and that they were from Maui as well, they were here with a neighboring food truck and found out it was their first time here and if all goes well they may return which is a wonderful thing to hear. Glancing over their menu I was indecisive between the "Turon" a banana lumpia inspired sip or their Ube Matcha Milk Tea with Oatmilk along with their Pandesal Breakfast Sandwich. As I watched them create my drink and make my breakfast sandwich I was sad not to see the green from the matcha as it looked like it was just a Ube drink and my breakfast sandwich was delicious though wished they heated up the pandesal a bit as it was just cold. The service is nice and polite as they made drinks quite fast and efficient, I do hope to see them return here as I really want to try the Turon coffee which I guess is the perk that Maui has. Thank you!

I've mostly given up my coffee ways lately, but I think I've found my new go-to alternative here -- their Ube Matcha Milk Tea. I've tried it with both oat milk and whole milk, and surprisingly, I prefer the oat milk version. It gives the drink a thicker, creamier texture and really lets the ube flavor shine over the matcha (which I love). The drinks come in pretty generous sizes -- 20oz or 24oz -- though I'd personally love to see a 16oz option for iced drinks. I've yet to finish a full 20oz before the caffeine buzz kicks in! My only other suggestion would be to add a touch more ice as it often melts before I can even get to my office. I also tried the pandesal breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and bacon, which was decent -- nothing too fancy, but it did the job. So far, I've really enjoyed my visits here. There's never been a line, service is quick, and I'm usually in and out in under 10 minutes. It's a convenient stop with some creative drinks you won't find elsewhere. Next on my try list is the Ube Taro Cloud! If you're looking to switch up your usual coffee run and try something uniquely Filipino-inspired, Kapwa Coffee Bar is definitely worth a stop!
