Tuesday morning breakfast. We got lucky and there was no line when we got there, though that soon changed. We were seated in about 5 minutes and were greeted pretty much immediately by our server. Our drink orders were taken and she was polite enough to wait for a little bit while we decided what we wanted to eat. After ordering, it didn't take too long for us to get our dishes and we enjoyed everything in front of us. I love the improvement to both the restaurant interior and the payment system. Had breakfast on a holiday weekend right when they opened. This is my first time dining here since the renovation and it looked great. Our server Lisa was friendly and provided excellent service. Food came out in a timely manner, waters were topped off, and checked on us often. I'm a fan of their spinach and mushroom omelette. Filling, fresh, flavorful and topped with a creamy cheese sauce. Came with a short stack of fluffy pancakes that I topped with strawberry syrup for one and butter pecan syrup for the 2nd one. My husband had the chicken fried steak with hash browns, scrambled eggs and a short stack of pancakes. The chicken fried steak was seasoned and cooked really well and topped with a yummy country gravy. The kids split a breakfast sampler that included 2 bacon, 2 slices of ham, 2 scrambled eggs and a short stack of pancakes. I come here all the time and it's usually a good time.. I wish I remembered her name but i usually get the one Filipino girl with the good energy and her hair is usually in a bun (if you go, you'll know who I'm talking about). This most recent time I went I was UPSET. Our server was Meghan and it started off okay but further into our brunch it just got worse. Portions were sad and messy! Not even half way through our meal she comes out with our check and puts it in our table and then a few minutes later she comes back saying she needs to check us out because they're making her go to break. The tip was preset to 18% and after she collected payment, no one bothered to check on us! We had the ask the old Filipino lady who was bussing tables for a container. The manager with the grown out blonde hair was on duty, didn't even bother looking at us. Wanted a local breakfast and IHOP didn't disappoint. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast of two eggs over medium, rice and Portuguese Sausage. I skipped the bread since I was trying to cut down on carbohydrates. The eggs were prepared perfectly, Portuguese Sausage was also on point. And told his coworker there is a cockroach on the table. Didn't really apologize or offer us anything. We were still eating our food. I really wanted an omelette on a Sunday, so I decided to give IHOP online ordering a try since I know they would be packed for dine-in. Online ordering was easy. When I arrived at IHOP to pick up my order, there was a line. The line quickly cleared up and the hostess was able to help me with my order. I can't really rate the inside or dine-in service since I did take out. It seemed like they were short staffed with a full house. The hostess was apologetic and nice. This is usually our Sunday family go-to place since they have enough seating for big groups. Sadly not only did we wait for 45min when told 20, we were also served our pancake's/waffles separate from the rest of our food well after they had gotten cold and two of our family members received their food 10min after. Cockroaches, no air conditioning, if you order your steak and eggs, medium well, they will boil the steak and serve it wet, on your plate ! Texture is like rubber... You guys! I'm not sure if it's due to covid or new management but IHOP got a much needed facelift. Ceiling isn't nasty with water stains or whatever it was, lots of working air conditioners blowing cool air, and trendy booths. I suggest bringing a light sweater if you tend to get chilly easily. Lots of new workers but happy to see more workers rather than just a few working hard to service such a large space. They even offer online orders that seems to have a system that works. My only disappointment was they supposedly ran out of ice cream and it wasn't even 7pm. So no sundaes or milkshakes for anyone. Also to note they changed their ihoppy menu specials to 3pm-8pm. I haven't been in for awhile but it used to be 2pm-close. It's a great time to dine in to take advantage of the discounted rates on a select menu that doesn't shortcut on taste. read more

I love IHOP it is so nostalgic. My Grandparents used to take me here every time I came to Maui. We love the swedish crepes combo. The crepes are fluffy and the eggs are perfect. The food is always good. My favorite thing from when I was a kid is that there are 4 choices of pancake syrup. Blueberry, old fashioned, butter pecan, and strawberry. Yummy. There are a lot of cool holiday drinks like the gingersnap milkshake. Our server Lavern was really nice, friendly, and cute. She made us feel like family. Me and my spouse came in for breakfast. The hash browns came out cold. Also, the quick 2 egg breakfast came with a big amount of eggs and hash browns plus 2 big slices of Texas toast but with only 2 small/skinny bacon strips that were no way proportional. We appreciate our waiter getting warm hash browns but my spouse couldn't enjoy his meal like he wanted as the 2 bacon slices only take 10 seconds to eat and his eggs would get cold in waiting for the warm ones. If you are looking for a food option that is more proportional with the hearty meats (I.e bacon or sausage) would recommend that you get an omelette instead. read more

Had a marvelous waitress very kind and quick with our food, my issue with this ihop location was that Gary the manager had moved us from a booth to a regular table, which is not what we requested he was not very accommodating to our request, there were other booths available during the time we visited but was not seated there for I don't know what reason and he looked grouchy and upset with his job flustered and not kind at all. I have to submit a review for the experience we had today at IHOP. We visit Hawaii every year or sometimes twice a year and we always look forward to going to the IHOP after going to the market. So we went to the IHOP. We ordered the French toast combo and the food came quickly but it wasn't very hot. I returned the food and asked if it could be warmed up in the microwave. They brought it back and it wasn't the greatest, but the manager had been walking around, ensuring that everyone had a good service and was satisfied. We were hungry, so we ate some of the food, deciding may be not to return next time we visit Hawaii. We were getting up to go and the manager showed up and asked us how our food was. We were honest, not rude, just honest and he was so professional and took our complaint seriously. He told us he would like us to come back and not go away and never come back. This is great service, he is a great manager. We will be coming back with the confidence of the manager taking care of his restaurant Thank you for being such a great manager, and making an unpleasant experience, a good one.
