Slicers is the kind of hoagie shop that feels like an underground skate video came to life. Fresh…read morebread, stacked meats, hot peppers, and zero corporate energy. You walk in and instantly know this place has a loyal following for a reason. The sandwiches are massive, messy in the best possible way, and hit harder than a late-90s screamo breakdown. Staff was cool, fast, and actually looked like they cared about what they were making. Local spots like this are getting rare. Absolute gem. We'll stop in again!

Heard they had some crazy sandwiches. Located inside a strip mall, parking was relatively easy. The decor inside was punk grunge style I would say. I asked for what their top sellers were and they directed me towards "The Twang". Which was sliced chicken breast with honey mustard, onions, American cheese and crushed bbq chips. I was told the way to get it was toasted and so that's how I got it. It was a good sandwich or hoagie but I'm not sure if maybe I'm spoiled from living in Miami but crushing chips and putting it on a sandwich is not what I would consider creative. And I thought $15 for a 12 inch without a soda or a side seemed a bit much. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. And hats off to whoever calibrated the soda machine. It was perfect balance of syrup and gas. Overall it's a good spot but nothing I would rave about.

Steve made my hot sub ( I like that they have both hot and cold options) . The Commodore was quite tasty and very filling. It is fine for a really nice sandwich, but it is somewhat pricey. I'm sure the rents are sky high in that area. I certainly couldn't afford them for a party. But I would definitely return if looking for a hot sub! I almost forgot to add that Steve said the bread is imported from Canada and baked fresh daily! It was soooo good. Meat to bread ratio was also excellent.

Offer you a coffee while you wait. That's the seduction. -The small (aka "Minnow") Caprese Pesto had lots of greens. Mozzarella? Not so much. -The regular ("Submarine") Tuna Tsunami (really just Tuna and Cheese)? Unseasoned tuna, with cheap, flavorless, industrial provolone. -The chips were actually the strongest thing in the bag. I could acquiesce if the sandwiches were memorable. Alas, they were not. YCS calls itself a "...new type of upscale sandwich shop." What does that mean, exactly? High prices. Quality seems not to be much of a consideration. Blatant rip off, even by Naples standards.

We got the "club sub", "Big Mama", and "The Swinger" and split them up between the 7 of us. Their subs are made fresh and to order. If you're in a hurry, it looked like you could call in your order for pick up to save time. There is no dining area, just a small area to wait while your sub is being made. I ordered the large Philly cheesesteak with onions and peppers. The price was $16.95. My friend ordered the half sized turkey club sub at a cost of $11.95. We each got a bottle of pop which was $2.50 apiece. We then took our order down the street and ate at Riverside Park sitting at a bench by the river, which turned out to be a nice spot to enjoy our lunch. My Philly cheesesteak was good, but not the best I've ever had. It was loaded with cheese, and the vegetables were sautéed nicely, but I think it could've used a little more meat. My friend loved his turkey club sandwich, which did look really good. The next time I go to Stan's, I would probably order that. I would definitely recommend Stan's over those fast food sandwich places like Subway and I will be a repeat customer in the future when I'm hankering for a sub sandwich.
