Whatever it was, it had more legitimate heat than the Burger King Jalapeño Whopper ever dreamed of having, and it made Taco Bell's Diablo sauce taste like something you'd give a toddler. It wasn't painful, just the kind of spice that politely reminds you who's in charge. The chicken was juicy, the breading stayed crispy, and the sandwich had just the right amount of everything. The fries deserve some credit too. Crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy inside--the way fries always promise to be but rarely are. When the box showed up, my first thought was, "That's it?" Five minutes later I was forcing down the last few bites because I refused to let perfectly good chicken go to waste. The portions are a lot more filling than they look. We had everything delivered through DoorDash, so I can't say much about the restaurant itself, but whoever packed the order deserves a shout-out. Everything was boxed neatly, looked like it had actually been assembled by someone who cared, and somehow arrived still steaming hot. If you had told me it had come straight from the kitchen to my table, I would've believed you. First time trying Dave's, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Now I just have to work up the courage--or stupidity--to order something hotter next time.

The quality of service, food, drinks, atmosphere were all very good. Turnover here is also very good, as there was no wait for an almost-full restaurant at 7pm on a Friday evening. Drinks were flavorful, but strength seemed a bit inconsistent. My Patriot's Pour, a bourbon drink, seemed a wee bit stronger both in flavor and perceived alcohol than the martinis we were served. The ice cube with the restaurant's name in it was a nice touch. Our dinners all came out at the same time and were, as mentioned, enjoyable. I did notice that the counter in front of the kitchen, where dishes are placed waiting for pickup, seemed to have more plates on it than the could be under the heat lamps. Hopefully folks' dinners weren't inconsistent in temperature. My Thai salmon was done the way I like it, firm and crispy. Parking outside is ample as well, there were several spaces free near the entrance at any time. They do a good job all-around here.

The pulled pork mac was on the sweeter side and also had a lot of sauces - the bechamel, sweet bbq sauce and ranch. It was a touch too many sauces for us. Portions were a good size, a bit larger than expected. Service was attentive and fast, and the space is clean and comfortable, but could use a bit of an update, the upholstery on our booth was noticeably worn down. Overall a good meal, just note dishes tend to be heavier on sauces / dressings - we'll request to go lite on sauces next time.

What stands out about this particular location is the consistently substandard service from Woburn's most vacuous fast food employees. A simple order, a large iced coffee with no liquid sugar, can dumbfound even the brightest of this location's employees. It's never a simple order with the drive-thru menu screen often flickering between "lg black" to "no cream" to two, sometimes three, iced coffees appearing on the display before completely starting over. Even via mobile app, the ice cold bean juice given at the window either lacks cream or is overindulged with the aforementioned liquid sugar. I'm not writing this review based on one bad experience or one fumbled early morning order. This is an ongoing experience. Time and time again I've driven away completely flustered and swearing to never return. So, why do I? I love the McCafe. It's delicious and fairly affordable. Not to mention this is the nearest McDonald's within six miles and as you probably know, six miles is an eternity in the great state of Massachusetts. The Woburn McDonald's drive-thru is something you have to experience to truly appreciate. In addition to a lack of order taking skills, patrons can also catch a glimpse into the day to day lives of Ronald's most capable burger-flippers and till jockeys. Just this morning, while I was trying to straighten out my overly complicated iced coffee order, I got to eavesdrop on a conversation about how "this is bull$#!+" and someone doesn't even "give a +#%!". The female voice was so loud over the speaker I felt like I was in the room myself! Exhilarating to say the least. I shouldn't complain the way I have. If a franchise has a clown for a mascot you can't be surprised when they hire clowns to run their stores.

Popeyes really needs to do something about this location because there is zero quality control. A Hungry Man fried chicken frozen dinner would have been a significant upgrade. This was the final straw. It's either the Everett location (they are excellent) or I don't eat Popeyes.
