    Fish fillet with Tofu. Spicy!
    Maria F.

A small, nondescript resto in a tired strip mall on Crenshaw, just north of Lomita. I was craving Chinese food and this was nearby. When we arrived, we were greeted by the proprietor. There were two other occupied tables occupied by old timers enjoying their lunch. We ordered to share: Spicy Beef Noodle Soup It was flavorful and not spicy for our palate. I wish it had tendon but we enjoyed it, nonetheless. Fish Fillet with Tofu This was SPICY! Loved it and would order this again. Onion pancakes Thin and crisp edges. Just as I like them! 3 cold dishes: cucumber, mustard greens and steamed peanuts. A great snack while we were waiting for the main event. You select the three items from the display. The greens were refreshing on this hot day in September. Hot Tea The tea was a typical tea you may get at any Chinese resto. As with those teas, it compliments and supports the food. We would visit this place again if we're in the area and it's lunch time. It's not a destination unless you happen to be craving something on their menu. I like these types of shops because once you order, the staff doesn't come around every 5 minutes to ask if you need anything. I was happy enjoying our food and having a Friday lunch break. Enjoy!

Spicy Braised Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup (Extra Spicy) - Still the best in South Bay!!
    Chow-time W.

This is one of the OG beef noodle place in the South Bay, I've been going since the 90s. It changed hands a few times since then. It can be a hit or a miss in the recent years. Last I went, about a year or so ago, the price went up but portion gone way down, so I haven't been in a while. Went yesterday for an early dinner, the portion is still relatively smaller than way back in the days. But decent for $12, you can't beat that price in the neighborhood, I wish they offer a larger size at a higher price. And based on what I had last night, I dare to say they are still the best beef noodle place in the South Bay!! Always go with extra spicy!! Still loving it!!

Just as a heads up, you eat here for cheap, good Asian food. This is not the place for a nice, renovated, nor as clean of a place to hang out nor for stellar customer service. What you expect is cheap, great Asian food that's in the Torrance area. Also the chef barely speaks English so it'd be helpful if someone knows how to speak mandarin or barely get by. Amazing food, I love beef noodle soup & I got that tonight! I also ordered the green onion pancake & that was super yummy too. I will definitely come back, and brush up on some light Mandarin to order.

Same great quality food! Out of side dishes at 7PM tho, sadly. They close at 8PM now. Came to pick up a to go order. Their best item is the beef tendon noodle soup!!

Zero stars, don't go! BUGS in food! (apologize in advance for the gross pictures and graphical description) We used to like this place a lot, it's the hole in the wall with the best noodles around. Food has always been tasty and service has always been lousy and getting even worse. In our last few visits, we have been very uncomfortable with the sticky table, it's just not very pleasant. Last night, we ate there and bought some rice noodles to go, since everything is light colored, black spots are much more noticeable, especially with the lighting at home, it turned out there were MANY bugs on the vegetables! Very very gross. We are not sure how much extra proteins we had from last night's dinner! We are never going back again!

Chives and pork dumpling with the vinegar, it makes a big difference

This place should rename themselves Bland AF Restaurant! ... What happened to this place??! Sadness, this use to be my favorite beef noodle place spot for over 2 decades! Now everything we ordered taste so bland. I felt like drinking hot greasy spicy hot water as their used to be so flavorful soup. After a few owner changed, very disappointed and sorry to say won't be back. I've never eaten anywhere where I feel like money was completely down the drain. Well today I Just spent $50 down the drain. I rather eat McDonald's or Jack in the Crack. Everything is dirty AF too. Nothing is ever wiped down. The doors, the trays, the counter is so gross and filthy grime everywhere.

Why would a worker put their stinky sneakers where food container lids are? Disgusting!
    Allie T.

Over salted on from beef noodle soup to all the side dishes. Horrible. What and why? The only guess it's preservatives to keep food from spoiling.

From many of the Chinese food places that I have tried in the Torrance area, this is one of my favorites. The food has a good flavor, and it is not as salty. It is in a small plaza that has decent parking spots. The dining room is quite large and has many small tables for smaller parties and many big tables for large gatherings and groups for parties. Food - The food was pretty good compared to all the other Chinese places in the Torrance area. It has a good balance of flavors and is not as salty as the other Chinese restaurants in the area. The prices are reasonable if they are lunch special prices. The dinner prices can be a bit pricier. The tangerine chicken and the sesame chicken both had great flavors, but could be a bit crunchier, though. The duck was decent in flavor, but the portion was a bit small. The other dishes that we ordered were all very good too. Overall - I would return to get more Chinese food here because the prices are reasonable and not too bad. The service was good, and the staff were wonderful in trying to help us order the food if we had questions.

Cons: The Hong Kong Style Crispy noodles and Fish with Black Bean Sauce were a 2 out of 5: The flavors weren't really there, mostly a sugary "gravy" taste. Not bad tasting, perhaps similar taste profile to Panda Express but with less distinct flavors. Overall may be crowd pleaser dishes but if you're used to good Chinese food, you may be disappointed. After reading some of the…read morereviews, I felt compelled to leave my own because my experience was the complete opposite. A common complaint seems to be that the dim sum portions are "too big." Personally, I don't see how that's a negative. While dining here, I saw families with children enjoying the food without any issues--they simply cut the dumplings into smaller pieces before eating them. Larger portions mean you're getting more for your money, and the quality certainly backs it up. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff stayed on top of everything, from bringing out dishes promptly to keeping water glasses filled and checking in to make sure we were having a great experience. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and comfortable throughout our visit. The restaurant also has a modern, upscale dim sum atmosphere that feels inviting without being pretentious. As for the food, the Shrimp Har Gow and Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai were absolutely fantastic. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and every bite was satisfying. At the end of the day, I'd much rather spend $10 on high-quality, jumbo-sized dim sum that actually fills me up than spend $20 on tiny portions at DTF. For me, Lunasia is an easy 5/5 and has become my favorite spot for dim sum.

I hate gristle, this Kung pow was sublime. Sweet-and-sour pork. I basically given up on this dish because no one gets it right, and it's always an excuse to hide gristle and fat. Not in this case. It was super tasty and for the first time I can remember there wasn't 1 ounce of gristle in this meat. It was just crispy tasty wonderful. Hong Kong style chow mein with pork.
