It was a long wait in line. Towards the end of their limited hours, I was pleased that they still had a pretty good selection. They sold out of some things, but I found a robust selection of pastries and a loaf of bread as well, albeit one too big for their slices. With macarons and chocolate on sale as well, they had a lot worth coming for. The cake slices were as rich and smooth as one hopes for a French bakery, but several other pastries met with aplomb as well. I struggled to locate a high-end bakery in this geographic area, but did not regret having come to this one at all.

My only feedback would be that the chocolate one would be better with strawberries on it (which I added when I got home) my daughter said her croissant was flaky and delicious. My last visit I got a lemon meringue tart and a rhubarb pastry. I can safely recommend all the tarts but rhubarb pastry wasn't my favorite. The staff there are really nice and service was good. Hours are solid and they actually have available parking which is great for colley.

I hopped over there on a break to bring a six-pack home with me to NC. :-) I selected Pistachio, Chocolate Espresso , Coconut, and Chocolate Birthday Cake today. Can't wait to get them home and NOT share hahahaha. The bar for superior Macarons is too high to meet anywhere else! And I mean ANYwhere. You MUST try Cafe Genevieve in Norfolk's waterside area!

They participated in the Cocoa Wars in Norfolk last year and they did a sipping chocolate inspired by a café in Paris called Angelina and it was soooooo good. Too bad they can't keep that on the daily, but I have had their regular hot chocolates and they don't cut corners. Made with real milk, just the way it should be. They also have other things to drink like lemonades sourced from France to keep on theme. - Noms - Macarons (only one "o") - they specialize in these little delightful sandwich cookies. I've tried almost all the flavors, my fave being the Nutella and red velvet. I know, I know, I just really love chocolate! So call me cocoa! Haha, see what I did there?! They've recently added other baked goods to their offerings like the pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) and other pastries. I've also had their Petit Pot (which is like a rich pudding). - TLC - The service here is always so welcoming and they truly hire the nicest people. It's like visiting friends rather than a business. They will always make sure to make it to your liking. You can find them at farmers markets on weekends, and they also provide their macarons to local businesses like Aux Delices (In Newport News) and Rich Port Coffee. Enjoy, Friends!

When I saw my favorite Kouign Amann I was overjoyed because these are my absolute favorite laminated dough baked good and they are almost impossible to find in the States. My favorite bakery in Miami, Florida stopped offering them during the pandemic and never put it back on their menu. Anyway, it was delicious and I bought the last three!!!!! My husband, son and daughter in law each got a personal pizza and really liked them. As my daughter in law will be attending ODU we already made a pact that she would bring home Kouign Amanns every time I come into town to visit them!

I especially love the ham and Gruyère croissant and even ordered them to be served for my birthday last year. The service is efficient and kind and the atmosphere is super chill. I love stopping here when I'm in the area and want a pick me up. My most recent visit I decided to take my friend here after we grabbed coffee at Fr8 house a few minutes away. We opted to get a whole pizza and went for the Brisket and Blue which had fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, smoked beef brisket, basil, pickled red onion, and green chili jam. The pizza was incredible. It had a great bite, slightly crispy, super savory with a touch of sweetness and the brisket was the savory star of the show. I added a bit of red pepper flake and it took it from a 9 to a 9.5 dare I say 10. I highly recommend checking this bakery out whether it's something as simple as a cookie or croissant or the whole pizza. There is something for everyone.

I only tried the chicken empanadas bit the crust was delicious and the filling too! Plus the sauce (the green one was sooooooo good!!!) wish I lived closer to eat more of these delicious empanadas! They also have a hot sauce and some other sauces too! Coffee: I had the medium coffee latte and it was some good coffee! Nice and strong but not bitter! I wish all coffee tasted like this! Service: Extremely nice and friendly! Brought out my coffee and empanadas to where I was sitting and even got more of the delicious green sauce because I used up the one on one of the empanadas! Place: They share their space with Kungfu tea and have plenty of seating. I sat a while inside to eat one of my empanadas and drink some of my coffee and it was fine for a quick sit-down.

They have renovated the space to give a fresh look with earthy tones and gives the space new life! - Parking - Center lot. Plenty of spaces! - TLC - Service was really friendly and informative. - Noms & Sips - We visited in the middle of the afternoon, so the bake case wasn't as full as what it would probably be early in the morning. However, there is still a good amount to choose from like croissants, pastries, pandebono and lots of individual cakes slices and different flavors of flan. I also noticed that they have a savory menu with Colombian and Venezuelan fare like arepas, empanadas, sandwiches etc. Since we came after having had lunch, we opted for an afternoon pick me up and something a little sweet to cap off our lunch. Chocolate latte - they serve Rich Port Coffee here, and if you know them, Rich Port is located in Norfolk. Happy to see local supporting local. The latte was great! Coffee flan - I LOVED the coffee flavor of the flan, but I didn't really care for the air pockets in the flan and it disrupted the consistent texture that a flan should have. Nutella tres leches - If you know me, tres leches cake is my favorite! The Bake Factory's serving is quite large and it was a delicious! They add a generous layer of Nutella between the cake layers of the cake. The cake was soaked nicely with the milk mixture and I was in my happy place with a warm beverage and scrumptious cake! I can't wait to visit again and pop in for a proper meal. I have my eye on an arepa! Enjoy, Friends and never stop exploring!
