Inside the store it can get a little quiet and cold so I usually just don't eat my ice cream there. I am so indecisive when it comes to ice cream and end up with too much cause I have this "all or nothing" mentality when it comes to treating myself. But the half scoops are perrrfect for trying a little bit of everything! I had a half scoop of thin mint and half scoop of cookie dough. Such cute spot that I didn't know it exist! It's clean and spacious inside. They have this giant chalkboard wall that will let your imagination and inner child out. Staff is friendly and efficient. 2 scoop of ice cream is $1 (what a steal). I got the coffee flavor with chunk of chocolate in it and it was delicious. We just dropped in again at Sugar Mama's. I had raspberry chocolate chip, Sandy had coffee chip. So loaded with chips you practically have to chew them! Their GENORMOUS single scoop is $3.82 with tax. Just after we ordered at least 20 more customers showed up. The line went to the door. Fabulous ice cream. Certainly among the best I've ever eaten and I've eaten ice cream all over the world. By comparison, a two-scoop run-of-the-mill so-so cone at the Vienna Ben & Jerry's is $5.00 plus tax and is perhaps 2/3d's the size of a Sugar Mama's single. There is no comparison. read more

Ice cream is good and the portions are large. The employee and owner didn't seem very personable. This was my first visit and I brought my son in on what happened to be his 4th birthday. I mean... ben and Jerry's or any other ice creAm place has super sugary ice cream as well but there's some sort of special flavoring to theirs. I found this place on Yelp. Great homemade iceceam for a great price. There were a nice crowd so i new this had to be a hot spot. The servings are huge. You can choose between 2 flavors even with only one scoop. You will only need one scoop unless you are a Super Ice cream Lover and love lots of iceream lol. I just went here for the first time today after having some of my friends recommend it and I really enjoyed it! The ice cream was reasonably priced, good amount of options to choose from, and the ice cream wasn't too heavy or too sweet. I went with chocolate just cause it was my first time, but next time I go I want to try something different now that I know that their ice cream is actually good. From my first visit here, it was apparent that Sugar Mama's would be my go-to place for ice cream. I don't eat a lot of ice cream, and I don't like making it half a meal when I go out. Instead, Sugar Mama's has 'mini scoops', which are just $0.50. I usually get 3-4 of these and it's a perfect size for me. If I were reviewing for the ice cream, pricing and owner alone I'd give 5+ stars. But... I've come several times around 8:45 and they are already closed (lights out chairs on tables). If you post your hours W-S until 9PM, then you should have your doors open until 9. I LOVE how the owner employs teens and young adults in the area but sometimes their customer service needs a improvement. On another occasion we came in to redeem rewards point (yes, we come here that often) but apparently that week they got rid of the rewards program and the cashier said they wouldn't honer it. We had just qualified for a free scoop 3 days prior. I'm pretty sure the owner would have -she's awesome. Well, still hasn't stopped us from coming. It's the best Ice cream around! read more

One of the best, ice cream shops that make amazing homemade ice cream!! (: I can tell it's purely homemade because it's not too sugary like most store brand ones are. As a sweet tooth lover, it's not overloaded with sugar that can give me a sugar coma if I eat too much haha! If I don't have control over myself, I will actually eat the whole pint they sell lol. I love, love, LOVE that it has the baking chocolate chips in its whole form, instead of shredded/chopped up bits of chip. The slight, frozen crunch of chips are just so satisfying~ First off, Black Raspberry was slighty berry fruity, but it was like eating a sweet, berry yogurt (just not sour!). I can definitely taste the creamy milk in the ice cream. Just the right amount of sugar they put in! Not super sweet at all. With the Cookie Dough, I am a BIG fan of the cookie dough pieces in my ice cream. The dough pieces were surprisingly not sweet at all either. It just felt like eating a piece of fresh, homemade cookie, not a sugar cube haha. It was also soft enough to let it melt in your mouth, kind of feeling. The Espresso Chip.. not going to lie, is the best one I have tried. Espresso shouldn't be too strong or overly sweet (that's not espresso then....?) when mixed with ice cream. It was on point!! I love coffee. Espresso had the right amount of milk added to it, along with a tiny, slight bit of bitterness to it. Pretty much like coffee with milk with a dash of sugar (: YUM!!! Overall, these ice cream flavors they sell are great for non-sweet lovers, or even older people. I like stocking up from this store rather than buying, sugary and artificially flavored ice creams at the local stores. I really liked how I could get all the flavors I wanted to try instead of committing to a single flavor. Yes, variety is the spice of life. As many reviews mentioned, the portion was more than generous for the price. I got 5 mini scoops, and although I initially worried that they would be teeny-tiny, it added up to a substantial amount. Among the flavors I got, my favorites were Coconut Chocolate Crunch and White Chocolate Raspberry. The Coconut Chocolate Crunch had a subtle coconut flavor, with just the right amount of chocolate to balance it; the White Chocolate Raspberry was deliciously fruity without the artificial taste. I also tried Rum Raisin, which had a very strong boozy kick. Although some may appreciate it, I wasn't a big fan of it. Although it was fairly early in the evening, they were out of some flavors.
