I want to report that this website continues to post and promote products that are clearly a scam…read more In my case, I placed an order for body creams on March 3rd, and the company that processed the charge on my account was a completely different one called MELIO. Right after they charged me, the order was canceled with the excuse that I had requested the cancellation, which is absolutely false. I never canceled anything. Since then, my money has been in dispute because: The company does not respond to emails. They only send automated messages saying someone will get in touch with me, but no one ever does. Meanwhile, MELIO claims that they already sent the money to the seller and is now asking me to either pay again or provide my card number so they can try to charge me again. Absolutely not! This is robbery. I should not have to lose my money like this. And who is going to compensate me for the damage? This situation is unacceptable. I have already reported this case to: My credit card company The Better Business Bureau The appropriate authorities here in California These two companies are working together to scam people. Sugar and Bronzed has changed my perspective on spray tans! I used to "spoil" myself once or twice a year. I would wait for a special occasion like a wedding to get my glow on. Two weeks ago was my "special day" and I was excited to go to Sugar and Bronzed! First of all, the lady at the desk was so welcoming and I felt relaxed. Since I'm not a spray-tan expert I asked her if I should buy sandals since I was wearing Uggs! She told me that I could wear my Uggs as long as I don't wear socks. And she didn't make me feel like a complete idiot for asking. Lauren, the bronzing expert, I highly recommend! If all the employees are like Lauren, they have perfect service! I didn't feel rushed and I adored how confident she was during the process! I believe she was very accommodating! Also I praise her for her multi-tasking skills. We had a lovely conversation and it didn't seem to affect her from doing her job. :) The next day I had a flight and I was worried the plane "air" would ruin my tan, this was not the case. Lauren wrote out a very detailed card with advice and self care tips. I really liked the express tan since it was super fast. I waited two hours to wash the tan off and in that time I went home and ate dinner. Super, super fast! I asked to look natural since I am very pale. What I got was a sun-kissed look like I was in the Bahamas for a couple days. Not that orange look that you get from cheap self tanner. I'm scheduled for a tan tomorrow and plan on trying the standard tan. I believe now I won't only get tans for special occasions. Can't wait for tomorrow! To say I'm pale is a pretty wild understatement. I'm so fair I basically reflect sunlight, especially in the winter. I have a trip to Miami booked and wanted to look like I've ever seen the sun before. Today was my fourth time at S+B. I was running a little behind and texted them -- one of my favorite things about them is that you can call OR text them directly and they're very communicative. They were so accommodating and happily moved me to the next slot so I didn't lose my appointment. I was able to get a pair of flip flops for just an additional dollar, and the express tan only costs $60 which is not bad at all for a really high quality, long lasting tan. And then it turned I had rewards points which I had NO IDEA ABOUT (!!!) so I wound up saving money anyway. The people there are all so friendly and so professional. They know what they're talking about and answer any and all questions. And the tan itself is amazing. They sell moisturizing and tan extending products which I haven't tried, but plan to because everything else here is excellent. Important to note that it's cashless (although you can tip in cash). Awesome place, highly recommend. It's VERY hard to find a medium to dark spray tan that doesn't look fake on my pale skin, but S+B has done it! read more

From the second I walked in I knew I was in good hands! I was immediately checked in and greeted by the woman who I had an appointment with. Before S+B, I had only one prior spray tan experience that still gives me nightmares when I think about it - I wanted to fit in with a group of girls on this tropical birthday trip and instead I was the incredibly orange streaky girl. ANYWAYS, I gave spray tans another shot at S+B before a trip to Mexico with my boyfriend. He's far from interested in the 'fake look' and the response I got from him was "wow, if this is how spray tans look every time you get them, I'm fully into this." Plus he saw how happy I was with my 'natural' glow! I then went for my 2nd spray tan at S+B, another good experience! I specifically asked for a tan along the lines of "I'm going to a beach wedding and I want a tan but not too tan because I'm standing next to my not so tan boyfriend" she gave me exactly that. I cannot wait for my 3rd tan this week here! Lastly, I'll stick with S+B and unless I move out of nyc as I don't see myself going elsewhere. My faith in spray tans has been restored and I'll look forward to my natural looking glows from S+B. read more

Where do I even start.....I asked to record my waxing because I am a blogger they said no. Cool. I tell MEG let's just continue with the waxing and I put my camera away. She then goes " HMMMMM no I'm not doing your wax" as she walks out the room she calls me a spic.....so disgusting....I have a mixed child I would never lie about this. No one has ever spoke to me this way. Then KATIE goes everyone here loves her she's not getting fired what a weird and rude thing to say.....I've been coming here for months and this is my first bad review..Katie was so rude and condescending I honestly couldn't believe it. I had to hire a babysitter for $ 150 just for them not to do my wax. Then Katie goes okay you can leave now bye. This was the worst experience of my entire life. Such racist people can't believe I didn't see it before. I have the whole video on my camera. These woman are so confidant they won't get fired and that disgusting ways isn't okay. I had been waxing since I was 15 (I'm 31 now) and never really loved the results or found a place to be loyal to. A friend with sensitive skin recently told me about sugaring and I tried sugared and bronzed on a whim after reading positive reviews and seeing its convenient location coming from Williamsburg. I've been coming regularly for several months now, signed up for the monthly membership and I'm sold. I've seen Amanda most of the times I've been in and she is super professional, efficient and sweet. My first time in she thoroughly explained the process and the benefits of sugaring and made me feel very comfortable. The pain was similar to waxing the first time but it has been less painful each time I've come in. It is extremely easy to make an appointment through their online system or via text and I've been seen right on time each appointment. The best part is that I've had zero ingrowns/irritation since starting sugaring which was always something I struggled with post waxing. I highly recommend! read more

I don't usually post reviews about anything but I felt the need to do it for sugar + bronzed because their service is unlike no other. I am very satisfied with the service, the employees/staff and the location I have only had sugaring services here but there is no doubt that this is the only place I go to for hair removal now. I am a person with slightly sensitive skin (especially on the lip area) and before May of this year I used to do traditional waxing services, but once I did sugaring hair removal I don't even think about going back. It's *a lot* less painful and it does not irritate the skin because the heat isn't extreme. The sugaring services are very clean and effective + it stops more ingrown hairs. The staff is always super friendly and I never feel uncomfortable around them whatsoever. I only and will continue to go to sugar and bronzed. I am more than thrilled to have found a place like this. Location is small, nice, and accesible in all directions. Would highly recommend :) read more

Such an amazing experience! I have always been a fan of traditional waxing and bed tanning until a friend told me about this new trend. The staff was nothing but professional. From the moment I stepped into to the moment I left the staff made me feel comfortable and showed that they truly care about each and every customer of their regardless if they are a new customer or a reoccurring customer. Every product they use is fresh and the whole atmosphere of the place is clean. I can't express enough how amazing my Brazillian and tax came out! I would 100% recommend the Union Square location to all my friends in NYC and all my friends who live in other states where S&B's are located. Since having a scare at the dermatologist, this place has been my go to. They are SO affordable that it makes avoiding sun bathing that much easier - I get a spray tan before weddings, parties, or even when I just am feeling a little pale! For $39 you cannot beat that! I have had several of the girls do my spray tans - and they have all been consistently great. I always feel so comfortable, and they are extremely efficient so I'm out in no time. I have never had any issues with streaking or anything - which I was nervous about when I first went. My spray tans last a minimum of one week and sometimes they go into two weeks! I HIGHLY recommend this place! With the quality and price point, why would you go elsewhere? I see other salons that offer spray tans for $60 - no need to spend that! read more

I've been coming here for the better part of a year for brazilians, I can't believe I've never left a review. Gold standard for 'waxing' (even though it's not really waxing). Always friendly, prompt, super clean. Let's face it, this sh*t is never exactly 'fun,' but at S&B it is about as close as it gets. My skin looks good, ingrowns have decreased dramatically, which is amazing. As someone who has been doing this for a long time, this is by far the best option. If I wasn't moving I'd prob go with the membership cause that seems like a good deal. If you've never had a Brazilian before, I'd say this place is probably a great place to start. I've been to both locations, both are stellar. And if you have ANY problems, give them a heads up; their customer service is awesome. read more

This was my first sugaring experience, and my first waxing/anything of that real of hair removal experience. I've always shaved, and I really wanted to try sugaring based on the things I've heard. I got a Brazilian! I came here and my esthetician, Kelly, was so nice and helpful for me during the process. She talked to me about sugaring a lot and made sure I knew everything that I was getting myself into - and talked during the sugaring itself and even walked me through my breathing during the sensitive areas. It does hurt, a lot, at least for me (but again this was my first time)! The receptionists greeted me very nicely and the whole process was in and out in about 20 minutes. Amazing!! I'll come back. I absolutely love this place! I've gone here both to get a tan and brazilian sugaring, and both are amazing. The express tan is my favorite, and the color is nothing else than perfection. I am so so happy everytime I walk out of there. The sugaring is not something I really look forward to, but they make the experience really pleasant - so now I actually look forward to next time! The atmosphere here is also so good, all the people working here is nice and makes you feel really welcome. (One of the girls there always remembers my name, and she's the cutest and I light up every time I see her!). The prices here is also unbeatable, so this is def the place to go!! read more

After trying another sugaring salon in NYC, I am VERY happy to have found Sugared + Bronzed! I have been sugaring for 3 years in The South and was nervous about finding a place to go to in the city. When I called Sugared + Bronzed to make my first appointment, I had a ton of questions to ask, as I wanted to make sure the services would be done properly. Kelly answered all of my questions (with the right answers!) and I felt assured that I would be in good hands. I've rarely use yelp- but felt so strongly that people need to know how awesome this place is. I used a Gilt voucher here and will totally be returning. Jade did my spray tan; she was so kind and made me feel super comfortable ( anyone who's been naked in front of stranger knows how weird that experience can be). Beyond her professionalism- I love the tan that she gave me- it's exactly the color I was looking for, is even, and has a natural contoured look. The whole place was lovely- the staff was incredibly sweet and helpful and I never felt that because I was using a voucher from Gilt, that I was less of a priority than full- price paying customers. read more

This was the first spray tan I've ever gotten. I was pleased that an actual person oversees and controls the spray tan to ensure you're getting an even finish. Everyone was very nice and answered all my many questions. I did the Standard so my tan developed over about 12 hours. I showered this morning and my tan is set at about one level less from what it developed to so I'm happy to not be super dark - looks like I just got back from the beach! Didn't get on my sheets either! Added bonus - you instantly look and feel about 5 pounds lighter ;) I'll be back for my second one to keep my tan going all summer long. read more

I can TEXT to book/confirm my appointment (hello convenient / millennial Win #ihatephonecalls), they always find a time that works or at least get me on the waitlist and I WALK OUT LOOKING LIKE THE SUN-KISSED HAIRLESS GODDESS I ALWAYS KNEW I WAS ON THE INSIDE. I have been getting sugared at Sugared + Bronzed (the Union Square location) for almost two years now (under the membership plan) and Amanda has been the best sugarista EVER! She has amazing technique; always quick and painless. She always takes the time to squeeze me in for appointments that fit my busy work schedule, and makes me feel so comfortable during the entire process. I would recommend S+B if you want to try sugaring and get away from the razors and waxing. The customer service is impeccable and the membership is well worth the pricing. These guys are great! I came in for a spay tan that I needed to get for a role ( Miami pool party), and it was a great experience. I got an appointment the next day, the girls were very accommodating and nice , and it took less than 20 minutes. My tan looks really intense and believe it or not, natural. I am a Nordic descent blonde, so no tan looks natural on me. The only thing is that the place is cashless, so bring your debit or credit cards . Other than that, I will definitely go back again!! Just had the best experience here with Rolanna and Amanda. I'm getting married this weekend, so I made a tan appointment but hadn't been able to get a sugaring appt. Instead, I booked a wax at European Wax Center right before the tan but when I arrived, EWC very politely advised me that I shouldn't wax right before a spray tan. I headed over to Sugared and Bronzed (who actually advise sugaring before tan) and they were not only able to take me earlier, they were able to squeeze me in for a sugaring. After reading some of these comments and attending the place itself. I have found to notice that many customers have neglected the fact that the majority of the employees in this salon are young, students, working several jobs at a time and are always trying their best to take on a high volume of clients. It is important to remember that customer service to this degree is not an easy job, and being able to come in and work as hard as they do while staying professional and welcoming is rewarding. The BEST spray tan in NYC. The quality of a personalized spray at this price is unbelievable. You pay this much for those box sprays. This is a real person making sure everything is evenly covered rather than one solid all over spray. They even ask you if you want them to go over your face twice since the color comes off the fastest. Clean location. Friendly staff. Appointments book up fast so try to book as soon as you know of an event. They are timely, I've only waited 5 min last my appointment time. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. I asked for clarification regarding the steep recurring costs because it did not align with the information online and what I was "sold" when signing up in store. However, the staff gave me confusing information with no clear explanation or support throughout the process beside stating that it was what I agreed to within my contract and that tanning is a luxury service. Additionally, I have not had a good experience with the bulbs in Beach Bum's beds. I regularly tanned for three months and after a few weeks of not going in, I am already back to my original color. Even worse, I have white, pigmented circles all over my chest and shoulders. They are concerning. (I am aware that I willingly went to the tanning beds and this is a risk of my decision, but it is unfortunate and not something I have experienced at other tanning salons/beds.) Brittany, the manager, was kind enough to contact me in regard to my concerns once I voiced my frustrations with the company as well as cancel my membership on the spot. However, I will no longer be a customer at Beach Bum. Pictures are attached as proof for the condition of my skin.

They are on the 12th floor all the way at the end of the hallway, I kept thinking did I miss it lol When I walked in i was greeted and had to fill out some paperwork and then was taken right in. I opted for the express tan with the drying powder. The drying powder is a total game changer. There is no stickiness and it smells amazing! I got this tan for my vacation and I couldn't be happier.
