Great experience here! Tris is super nice and more than helpful. Lots of locals coming in for return business which is always a good sign. The food is delicious. The restroom was not clean. I'm not going to lie I'm upset because the food here tastes so good. But my first time ordering here I got a hair in my pad kee mao. I ended up not eating the rest of it because I was disgusted. I decided to give it another try after a month because the food was so flavorful and I loved the yellow curry. This is the seventh time I've ordered since then and I got ANOTHER HAIR in my pad Thai! 2 out of the 7 times I order it I get a hair in my food. It's really discouraging because I do love the taste. We have always driven by this place and never tried it since it first opened. We tried it recently and fell in love with this little Thai place. There is usually a wait on a weekend evenings. They serve legit Thai food. Their spice level, per the server is really spicy. So listen to the server if you can't handle that much spiciness and order mild. No kidding, their mild steak salad as still a bit spicy. With two back to back visits , we had tried Tom Yum Seafood soup, beef salad, pad Thai, chicken satay, green curry, red curry and BBq pork. Everything was good. The chicken satay, Tom Yum, and BBq pork are definitely return orders every time . Will go back again soon! read more

I'm not sure what happened. I discovered this place over 8 years ago and always enjoyed it. I have been multiple times over the years for lunch, dinner and takeout. Other than them taking off the " Crying Tiger dish" ( flavorful beef with a spicy, vinegar sauce , I haven't had a complaint. I went yesterday for lunch with 2 others. We each ordered from the lunch menu which I have done multiple times .... We each ordered different dishes with a different protein.. shrimp, chicken and beef. I'm not sure if it was a new chef or but the shrimp dish had 3 shrimp ( previously probably anywhere from 8-12, my dish included 4 very small, thinly sliced pieces of beef and my cousin had a noodle dish with chicken where it was similarly garnished with only a few small pieces of chicken mixed in. It has been about 2 months since I was last there. I do not know if the chef changed or ?? The staff was friendly as usual. I will give it a break and try again in a few weeks.. hopefully it was a one time negative experience as I always looked forward to going to Suki Time. Heck, I just like saying it! lol read more

We hadn't been to suki thai in like 4 or 5 years and man am I glad we decided to come by again recently! Food is still yummy and tasty It's nice its got like different seating areas like outside, inside, or the extra dining tables they got on the other side. We ordered a few different dishes and they were all good, with the exception of the Mongolian beef. It was just ohkay!!!! Needs improvement on the flavor or seasoning. But everything else was fire. We ordered coconut tom kha, chicken pad thai, and red curry! All 3 items 10 starss I liked how the tom kha came on a little boiling hot pot kept the soup warm all the time! Now I just wish they wouldn't actually put so much lemongrass on it tho, it's hella hard and chewy!!! and it's annoying taking them out of your mouth every time you find em, like yes it's part of the flavor and it wouldn't be the same without it, but I don't think it's necessary on the soup, like all those little chopped pieces. Other than for flavor, it's inedible!!!! But I won't take no credit away just for that, just a thought! The pad thai as always DELICIOUS with the little peanuts spread on top and that red curry was fire, super tasty and yummy! So much flavors. And lastly for our dessert we got the super ripe and sweet Mango with the sticky rice, next time I'll definitely ask for sum xtra sauce which I think is just condensed milk lol Went there with my wife and 3 kids and we all loved it. The food here and the ladies who work here are the friendliest and warmest. Came for late Sunday night dinner, greeted by kind ladies, was given complementary orange chicken that was tasty, it was all chicken and hardly any dough which was great. They offer a full vast menu, the wait for our order was not long and the food was superb! Loved the brown rice and the yellow chicken curry was so delicious! The restaurant was the equivalent of eating in a gas station. What a mess. The inside was pretty beat up with the outer dining room, a screened in room that blocked the view of the traffic whizzing by on Lomita Blvd, but not the noise. Food? Tasted like most other Thai restaurants. Service? The second we sat down, "You ready to order?" I was especially enamored with the waitress' "Drunk 1" t-shirt. Went back to Suki Time Thai Kitchen by Tanicha in Lomita after checking it out last week. They are certainly in the running for Best Tom Yum Soup which was so comforting, which had the perfect amount of spicyness and sourness. The Pad See Ew was just so tender with the beef and noodles, again Thai comfort food at its best. I didn't take a picture of my Thai Iced Coffee which has to be sipped to be savoured and it felt while we were there that Thailand was loving us and blessing us but to remember eating the meal is more than a little decadent. The Spicy Eggplant which I picked mild, man, it tasted so delicious! And the fried tofu that goes with it just was a perfect vegan experience to go with the white rice, which I also didn't take a picture of. That small bowl was priced just wonderfully right and tasted perfect, the simplicity of it: Thai white jasmine rice. It soaked up the eggplant dish's sauce and again was the perfect comfort dish to enjoy. The whole time was wonderful and perfect. The service was really kind. The ambiance was really welcoming. My friend called me out of the blue and said she was hungry. I always pass this mom and pop looking restaurant so I suggested we go there. The place had ample parking and the server was bubbly and friendly. It was a nice place to meet with friends and share a meal. The cook couldn't accommodate her request for less salt for she's suffering from high blood pressure. But for those who doesn't need changes to the seasonings the food was good. The pad Thai noodles were a bit too sweet for her, even for me. We did enjoy the pad see ew. That was delicious. Over all I would still recommend this place. They have a back space with more tables and the owner decided to seat me my 8 month old baby and my husband in the patio mind you it was hot during that time the food got there an hour later we had gotten up almost ready to leave because the service was awful. Never again did we go back. I don't know why this place is 4 stars I've had some of my family members come here and have had a bad time . Service isn't as it used to be as long as the food. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and paid for extra beef (total was $18.95) and there was seriously hardly any beef. Just a few thin slices in the whole thing. It was mostly veggies/onions. It was disappointing. We have never sat in the restaurant; we always place our orders online and pick them up. But I feel like they are VERY stingy on the meat dishes. I didn't notice it much before. Maybe the new management is trying to save money, but they will lose customers too, if all we are getting is a bowl full of vegetables when we order meat dishes. Suki Time is perfect! I live in a household of 5 hungry adults and when we order, we spend about $75 for 4-5 dishes (2 curries, 2 entrees, 1 noodle) and we're left with a tiny bit of leftovers - which end up getting eaten at midnight. Takeout is ready in about 25 mins. Also we have a mix of food allergies and dietary restrictions - plenty of options for dairy, meat, nut-free needs! The food at Suki Time is always consistently a hit. We try different combos each time. Their stuff is Thai Town/East Hollywood level - a level above your average Torrance Thai place . Sometimes you visit one of those places and the flavors between entrees are indistinct - here each dish is unique and fresh, never oily, perfectly spicy, smooth, velvety and well-integrated. Try the Green Curry. Don't sleep on the papaya salad and the fresh ginger dinner entree. Newer owners as of June so the menu is pared back but they might bring back the fish dishes if ppl request.
