    Yogurt Melon Sulbing
    Shih Fa K.

Melon Bingsoo is very cute in its honeydew bowl and carved melon top. I am not sure what was on the bottom, but I am sure there was something strawberry and some yogurt ice cream. The line was long and parking was challenging, but it was worth the wait. I wish they had menus that described their seasonal items better because staff was not able to give much of a description. Interior was typical of Sulbing.

A friend told me about this bingsoo chain from Korea! He said that the American options here are better though... so I had to give it a try myself! My go to is the Mango Cheese Bingsoo. The condensed milk and snow-like texture of the ice are satisfying. Overall, it's a large portion and the fruits are always sweet. Not bad!

On of the most expensive sulbings I've had not sure if it's because it's healthier because of the yogurt but it sure was tasty. Efficient self service kiosk . very much a hangout spot in the evenings especially during the summer. when it gets crowded, you may have to wait a little bit for a seat , hover around a table that looks like they're going to leave. This is an order and pay at the front and seat yourself establishment. Would definitely come back

The bingsoo at sulbing is always delicious. They use frozen sweet milk, not water ice, so it's very fluffy and sweet. The only thing I dislike about coming here is that it's very busy and crowded, so sometimes it can be a battle to find a seat, and the tables are usually not that clean.

My wife and I visited Sulbing and ordered the Mango Cheesecake Sulbing and the Mozzarella Injeolmi Toast. Ordering is done through a self-service kiosk, and our food arrived within a reasonable amount of time. Both items were delicious. The Mango Cheesecake Sulbing was refreshing and not overly sweet. The shaved ice had a smooth, milky texture that melted perfectly in every bite. The Mozzarella Injeolmi Toast was excellent as well, it reminded me of a grilled cheese sandwich, but even better, with a unique sweet-and-savory flavor combination. Seating is first come, first served, so finding a table can be a challenge when the cafe is busy. Plenty of space between seats. The biggest downside is the parking situation, which can also be difficult during peak hours. Still, the food makes it well worth the visit.

Mango Cheese bingsu - The mango to ice ratio was great. Most of the flavor was on the bottom, so had to mix it well. The mangoes were more sour than sweet, maybe not in season yet. Injeolmi toast - I liked the chewiness of the mochi inside the bread. However, I personally am not a fan of dry powder and the toast was basically covered in it. Ambiance - We came here on a Friday evening after dinner and it was packed. We had to wait a bit for a couple to leave so we could take their table. The cafe is pretty spacious but just expect a crowd, and I'm sure even more in the summer.

I would say the price is good however it's not the best bingsu I've had. Maybe it's because we got the chocolate but I wasn't feeling it. I wished it had more toppings or something inside that was sweeter, but mostly it just tasted like chalky cocoa powder. Not very sweet and not in a good way. I usually wouldn't get this flavor and would get fruit so maybe that makes the difference. Was it the worst? No. The shave ice part was delicate and the portion was what you would expect. But I wouldn't attempt any chocolate ones again if I did come back here. It's lacking something. As for the inside, it's a spacious place with plenty of seating which is nice, although the music feels a little loud. The service is pretty straight forward here as you can order from a kiosk or up front, and there are screens that show which order number is finished around the restaurant. The bathroom was clean. Overall, wouldn't say it's bad but I'm not sure if I can recommend.

No frills Korean shaved ice spot in Santa Clara! Quick self service ordering process, our two choices were out pretty quickly despite the cafe being almost full. Ordered the traditional injeolmi Bingsoo and the mango cheesecake Bingsoo. Both were very tasty, light and fresh! Perfect for sharing with a group of friends.

No wait on a Thursday evening but packed inside. Ordered the strawberry bowl. The food was ready in 7min. The flavor was good, but must admit paying $18 for getting a bowl of mostly shaved ice a rip off. Love to know what their margins are!!! Don't think we will return to try anything else.

Sulbing is a Korean dessert café best known for bingsu, a shaved ice dessert made with an incredibly fine texture that feels closer to snow than traditional shaved ice. We walked into a clean, modern space with a casual café feel that works well for stopping by after a meal or meeting up with friends for something sweet. The shop focuses on creative variations of bingsu with toppings ranging from fruit to chocolate, matcha, and other dessert-inspired flavors, and the layout encourages lingering over a shared dessert rather than rushing through a quick stop. The biggest highlight is the texture of the shaved ice itself. The ice is extremely soft and light, melting quickly while still holding the flavors from the toppings and condensed milk. We ordered the Injeolmi Sulbing, which showcases the more traditional side with nutty flavors, and the combination of the fine ice, chewy rice cake, and nutty powder created a dessert that felt both refreshing and satisfying. The Tiramisu and Chocolate Brownie Sulbing turn it into a much more indulgent experience, with richer flavors that feel closer to a full dessert than a light treat. The presentation is impressive, with each bowl arriving looking carefully composed, and the layers of toppings are distributed well enough that you get a good mix in every spoonful. The portions are also a major part of the appeal. A single bingsu is easily shareable, making it a good choice for groups or anyone looking for a dessert to split after a meal. We found that sharing worked well, as the portion was generous enough to satisfy two people without feeling like we were missing out. Beyond bingsu, they also offer items like toast and other sweet treats, which give the menu more variety and make it a place you can visit even if you are not in the mood for shaved ice. The main thing to keep in mind is that the experience depends heavily on the flavor you choose. Some versions rely more on the toppings for their flavor, while others feel more balanced throughout. The presentation is impressive, but certain options may feel less satisfying if you expect every bite to have the same intensity as the first. The fruit-based versions, for example, rely on the freshness of the fruit to carry the dessert, while the chocolate and tiramisu versions have a more consistent richness from the base itself. Sulbing is a great spot for trying Korean-style shaved ice. The unique texture, large portions, and variety of flavors make it stand out from typical dessert shops, especially if you enjoy lighter desserts with creative toppings. The balance of refreshing and indulgent options across the menu gives you room to explore different styles on repeat visits, and the quality of the ingredients makes each bowl feel considered and well composed.

My go-to bingsoo spot whenever I had dinner at Santa Clara and my group of friends craving for something sweet after. Sulbing is actually pretty popular chain in Korea and known for their Korean style shave ice (bingsoo), so I'm very happy that they opened a store here in Bay Area. There are a lot of parking spots within the plaza, the store itself is pretty spacious, and the decoration is quite simple. I usually place my order at the kiosk, staffs were friendly and wait time is about 10-15 minutes, could be longer on the weekend. They have a fixed menu but once in a while there will be a seasonal item likes Melon, Watermelon or Pistachio Strawberry. My favorite is their Apple Mango Cheese Sulbing, the shave ice is smooth, creamy, cheesecake bites and mango sauce were delicious, but the ice cream on top was alright, a perfect dessert to cool you down on a hot day. But if you prefer something warm, I would recommend their Honey Butter Bread, crunchy thick cut of bread with creamy whip and sliced almond on top. Overall, it is a great spot for Bingsoo and hanging out with friends.

Went to sulbing on a Saturday night, it was busy but still able to grab a seat as parties left. We got the strawberry bingsu, comes with condensed milk already drizzled. The strawberries I think they toss it in some sugar as the strawberry on top was actually tart. I love the bingsu, it's soft and milky, very consistent here. We tried the dubai cookie but found it underwhelming. I think it was $7? Looking forward to the melon bingsu when it's back in season!

Tried Sulbing recently and I've already been twice. The strawberry sulbing has a ton of strawberries and red bean paste. The texture of the ice was very nice. We also enjoyed the toast. Nice ambiance

    Are there nondairy options?

I was also looking for non-dairy options a few months ago. I don't recall too many because my wife and I shared something with milk in it.

It closes at 10, but when is last call?

9:15pm! They have a sign posted on their front door the last time I was there which was pretty recent.

What's the ice cream/sorbet flavor on the mango cheese? I had it yesterday and it wasn't vanilla. Maybe apple or lime? It was slightly tart.

What are the hours for this place?

12 pm- 10 pm but the last call is at 9:15 pm

Anyone know if they use Alphonso mangoes or regular mangos in their mango bingsoo?

Sure enough, it absolutely lived up to the hype, and now I totally understand why people say to line up as early as you can. I actually stopped by a few years ago around noon, and there was literally nothing left to order because they had completely sold out. I wasn't about to take my chances this time! We ordered 6 pieces: one Plain, one Peanut Butter, three Green Tea, and one Pink White (mung bean). The mochi was incredibly soft with the perfect chewy texture, and the filling inside was so smooth. Honestly, just one piece was enough to make me feel full, but I can also see how easy it is to let your eyes do the ordering because everything looks so good. Their mochi really tastes like the real deal. The staff were also so kind. They take your order, have you wait off to the side, then call your name once everything is packed. I placed a pre-order for my mochi before the weekend by emailing shueidomanju@gmail.com, usually this is best if you want to make sure they don't sell out of the flavors you want. Service: I went during obon weekend so there was a long line. Last year they let people who pre-ordered skip the line and go straight up to pay and collect their order. Not this year, they made everyone stand in the same line and it took about 30 minutes. I don't think it's usually that busy, but this was a festival weekend.
