I'd like to piggyback off of my sister Yvette Mejia's review on Google reviews. My sister, nephew, and I visited this location on 3-8-26. We were so excited , I hadn't been to a Sullivan's in years. We were promptly greeted, which was a nice start. Our server was fairly young and didn't write down our order, which I assume was his way of trying to memorize it. I had ordered the lunch portion of the salmon as well as mashed potatoes as my side, and started off with the Caesar salad, which was good. When my entrée came out, I was brought the wrong side, not the mashed potatoes I ordered. The server offered to take it back to the kitchen to make it right, but we all know the old saying: never send something back to the kitchen under any circumstance. When he brought out the replacement mashed potatoes, they were cold. At that point I didn't even want to say anything because everything was just falling apart. To make matters worse, my sister mentioned her lobster bisque was cold, and my nephew said the same about his mashed potatoes with his steak. This place had two tables filled with patrons, IT WAS DEAD!. The kitchen staff apparently didn't have enough time to check the temperature of the food, but they had plenty of time to be on their cell phones and watching TikTok videos. With only three tables in our section, there's really no excuse for that level of inattention. I decided it was best to speak to a manager. It took her roughly 10 to 15 minutes to come to us , again, three tables, so I know she wasn't busy. She just didn't want to deal with it. I explained the situation: the server not writing down the order, the wrong side dish, and the cold replacement. To his credit, I did make a point of telling her that he tried to make it right -- but the replacement came out cold and bland regardless. She stood there listening and it was almost like I was speaking to a wall. She never offered to bring out a properly heated side, never offered any solution -- she was just going through the motions. That was really surprising, considering this is not a Sizzler steakhouse we're talking about. At that point my sister and I were just ready to leave. We still gave our server 20% gratuity because, honestly, it wasn't his fault. The fault lies with management and a kitchen that should have been checking the temperature of every plate before it left. This was a very disappointing visit, especially given that we splurged on dessert and drinks and walked away feeling like none of it was worth it. I hope management learns from this, because the valley is a very small community and people do talk. This is my experience tied in with my sister's, and it may not be anyone else's , but it was ours. Sullivan's Steakhouse has usually been a place for special celebrations. This Valentine's Day, however, was a disaster!! Starter: $35 deviled eggs with caviar. 6 of the smallest chicken egg halves I have ever seen, barely larger than quail eggs. Absolutely no flavor, except for the thin olive slice. The caviar was flavorless. Salt, pepper, or even paprika would've helped tremendously. Don't waste your $. Salad: the spinach salad was small and came without the hard boiled egg. The bacon vinaigrette was tasteless. The spinach wasn't trimmed, which I know a lot of places don't do, but I prefer. Main (his): blackened salmon $42 arrived without being blackened. They fixed it immediately but checked the ticket to find that it actually DID say blackened, so no one had checked. Tasted fresh frozen (mealy), not fresh. Main (hers): lobster thermidor $69. First bite was delicious, second bite contained ice crystals. Asked the waiter to feel it and he was shocked that it was ice cold. Offered to have it remade, but we gave up and said no. Then he told us that about 10 other guests had complained about the temperature. Side: crab fried rice $22 was tasty but hard, as if old. Positive: the bread and butter were delicious. read more

We came here for dinner on Valentine's Day and were very disappointed. The hostess was not welcoming whatsoever and set a poor tone from the moment we walked in. In contrast, the gentleman assisting with seating guests was friendly, professional, and genuinely inviting -- he should be the first person guests see when entering the restaurant. Our server was good and attentive. Unfortunately, the food fell short. We ordered the Parmesan fries, which arrived without any Parmesan. After politely mentioning it to our server, we were brought a side of Parmesan and had to finish the dish ourselves. The wedge salad was also disappointing -- more like a chopped salad and extremely lightly dressed, lacking flavor and presentation. At least the main courses were decent, but they weren't enough to justify the overall experience. For the price we paid, I would not recommend this restaurant, nor would I return. We ordered: Ribeye steak with garlic mashes potatoes. Potato's were pretty good and fresh. Steak was a bit bland with lots of fatty parts I had to cut out. Wedges salad was ok not bad . It was cold and crispy so that's a plus. Lobster and shrimp bisque was liked by the table . We asked for more of the complimentary bread to dip into it. Broiled salmon came with sautéed spinach. Salmon was a bit dry. The skin was burnt . Hibiscus cosmopolitan was on point. I'd order that again. Service was extremely slow and it wasn't too busy for how slow it was. read more

My buddy and I decided to stop here after a day of golfing. We ordered the aged ribeye, porterhouse, mushrooms, lobster mash potatoes, and a few drinks. The sides and most of the meal was top notch. My gripe was the steak quality. I eat enough steak at home that I can absolutely tell the difference between and prime cut and choice. Both of our steaks tasted like choice and just didn't have that tenderness that comes with a prime steak. We ordered the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and then as a main course, I got the Filet Mignon on the bone with an added lobster tail. We had just come from the Palm Springs Tramway on a snow day and didn't feel like dining there, so we went looking for a steakhouse and found this one, even though it meant driving a bit farther. We arrived around 6 p.m. and the place was completely empty. I'll admit we weren't dressed very formally, but we were told to sit wherever we liked, so we chose a booth. It took quite a while for our server to come over, and we were already pretty hungry by then. When our waitress arrive, I asked about the three options on the menu, and she said she needed to grab a paper to explain them. I told her "never mind" because it sounded like it would mean waiting even longer. I would have expected that staff would have those three items memorized, but it wasn't a big deal since I was only asking out of curiosity and ended up not ordering them. The server gave us some time to decide what we wanted, but again it took a long time before she came back, even though I could see her chatting with coworkers. After about 15 minutes, she finally returned and I ordered a medium-rare New York strip steak and the crab fried rice. Our food took about 20 minutes to arrive, which was understandable. The dishes themselves were very good and I have no complaints about the quality of the food. About 15 minutes after we were served, our server came by to ask if she could clear our plates, but we weren't finished yet, so she left. We then spent more time finishing our meal, and once again it took quite a while for her to return to our table. Overall, the food was excellent, but the service did not meet my expectations. Our server didn't feel very attentive or accommodating, and I couldn't help wondering if it was because we weren't dressed up. Because of the service, I'm taking one star off. read more

4.5 Stars...First experience and had a very nice time. Sat in the bar area and experienced wonderful service, delicious food, and live music/dancing. Lots of parking in the mall's parking structure, as well as on the surrounding streets. Although we were walk-ins, reservations are recommended. Happy Hour in the bar, Mon. - Thur. from 3-6pm. SERVICE: We didn't have reservations, as we were only looking to hang out at the bar for cocktails and munchies, but it started rough with some major attitude from the hostess towards my wife and 91-year-old mother-in-law. Fortunately, we were able to find our own table in the bar area where Mac"Kenzie" waited on us, and her personality and efficiency were so wonderful, that we soon forgot about the run-in with the hostess. She saved our evening, and we'll certainly look for Kenzie again on our next visit. FOOD & DRINK: Once settled, we ordered a Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini, a Smoked Rosemary & Orange Old Fashioned, and a French 75. Later, we also tried a Banana Old Fashioned, and a Barrel Aged Vieux Carré. I thought the cocktails were well made, quite tasty, and reasonably priced ($15 for all martinis and craft cocktails). For food, we ordered a couple of appetizers to start: the Caviar Deviled Eggs ($35), Oysters Rockefeller 6ea. ($25), and a bowl of the Lobster & Shrimp Bisque ($12). We also tried the Spicy Shrimp Eggrolls ($19), George's Bay Seared Scallops entrée ($46), and the Lobster Au Gratin ($23). Finished off with a Coffee ($4) and a White Chocolate Almond Martini. Everything was prepared perfectly and delicious. One exception, we didn't think that the caviar added anything to the deviled eggs, other than the price. TIP: We purchased $100 worth of Sullivan's gift cards at Costco for $80, saving us some $$ for additional food and drinks. We made reservations for a date night at Sullivan's and were hopeful given the reputation, but unfortunately the experience fell short. We were greeted upon arrival and seated after about a 5-minute wait. It then took roughly 8 minutes before we were offered water, and another 15 minutes before our server, Jose, came to the table. From the start, his demeanor felt disengaged and as if he didn't really want to help us. It seemed we were simply assigned to him because we were seated in his section. Another 10 minutes passed before we were offered drinks. My husband ordered a Coke, and I ordered the blueberry lemon drop. The cocktail was a 5/10--the lemon flavor was overpowering and lacked balance. We ordered calamari as our appetizer, and bread and butter were brought to the table shortly after. The calamari was actually quite good, and honestly, the bread and butter ended up being the best part of the entire meal. For entrées, I ordered a well-done filet with garlic butter shrimp and wild mushrooms. My husband ordered a medium-well ribeye with asparagus, mashed potatoes, and shrimp. Unfortunately, my steak had to be sent back twice. The first time it came out rare. The second time it was closer to medium. When it came back the third time, it was burnt. I understand that I asked for well-done, but a burnt steak should never be the result--especially at a restaurant of this caliber. Properly trained cooks should know the difference. Throughout this process, our server seemed visibly annoyed that I sent the steak back, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. We also asked for salt and pepper, which never arrived. The ambiance was nice, with classic music playing, but unfortunately the service did not match the atmosphere. For a $270 bill, even with a gift card, this was not the date night experience we were expecting. Overall, Sullivan's felt overhyped. Between the slow service, poor attitude, and mishandled food, we won't be returning. read more

We came on Valentine's Day 2025 right when they opened. We didn't have a reservation so we were sat in the bar area. The bar area was filling up as it seems no one had a reservation. It was strangely odd that for the next 40min, no one came in with an actual reservation...seems we could have been sat in the dining room. This was our first time here and I have to say the food was overall very good. The service was exceedingly slow despite multiple staff walking about, chatting at the bar etc. Our server was trying hard, but the only one dedicated to the bar area. They have a delicious, creative crabcake. The hibiscus cosmo? Yes please. My filet mignon was absolutely delicious and the goat cheese butter is a must have that you can't get at another steakhouse. The mashed potatoes were silky and the garlic spinach ok. The bordelaise was tasty. My husband's rib eye was overcooked but he muscled through it. We also ordered the mac and cheese but that was a pass. It was bland, below average and barely had any lobster. Nonetheless, this place is an overall win, with classic steakhouse food elevated to include some of the most popular trends of the past decade. Pro tip: The service may be off if you sit in the bar area. If you want the traditional 4-course dinner, make a reservation. While we were not here for happy hour, the menu looks amazing. Hungry? Is it lunchtime? Sullivan's is the best kept secret in the Coachella Valley This spot has stand alone dishes. Anything you order is guaranteed delicious. We ordered the calamari that was very light, savory and addictive till the last bite. Next up soup. French onion and lobster bisque. Both are a meal in it self and will not disappoint. I ordered the truffled ribeye sammy with fries. Wow show stopper. My spouse ordered the chicken jalapeño sammy with garlic mash. For dessert cheesecake garnished with strawberries . It was dense but light and airy at the same time. I'm not sure how that is accomplish but it was beautiful. Sullivan's was very disappointing. I should have trusted the reviews of others, but the friend I dined with insisted we try it. When we first arrived there was no one to greet us at the host desk. Three people came by and said someone will be right with you. Our server's name was Daniela. The first disappointment was that there was no beers on draft and she sat us at a wobbly table. We started with calamari and the shrimp egg rolls. Both were ok. The egg rolls were blah (better at Panda Express) and the calamari was too chewy. The lobster bisque was an unusual color for lobster bisque. It also tasted more like clam chowder; however, the iceberg wedge salad was good. I had a ribeye steak which was good, but could've been better. Their house steak sauce was terrible; they did carry A1, I just regret not asking for it instead. The mashed potatoes were too garlicky. My partner got the chicken. It wasn't terrible, but it could've been better too. It was drenched in a thick gravy like sauce. It reminded me of cream of mushroom soup. Daniela asked if we wanted take out boxes for what we didn't finish, but we said no; she just chuckled as if she knew the food wasn't good enough to take home (I'm playfully assuming. Daniela was great, it's not like she cooked the food or decided what to put on the menu.) We ordered cocktails. We first tried to order a Paloma, but they were out of the ingredients to make those. I got a spicy margarita. It wasn't that spicy or strong. It tasted like orange juice and they lit up a shot on top and brought out this flaming little drink. My friend got another cocktail they brought out in a little smoke filled box. Presentation is nice, but not at the cost of a good drink. I tried the key line pie for dessert. The color looked a bit off and was a yellow and not the green I've come to know key lime pies to be. This pie was so tart. I think they used too many lemons or limes. The atmosphere was nice, but a little dated looking as if it would've been really cool in the early to mid 2000s. Absolutely terrible experience. We came in with a newborn and a five-year-old expecting a nice family dinner, and after TWO HOURS we still never received our meals. During that entire time, our waiter only came to the table twice. Our child got an order of fries, and we received drinks, but our salads and steaks never arrived. To make matters worse, after we had already been sitting there for two hours, the manager said they would ONLY comp the bottle of wine -- as if that somehow made up for the fact that we never received our food. Horrible management and horrible service. If customers are sitting in your restaurant for two hours waiting on two salads and two steaks, you should be doing far more than covering a bottle of wine. We finally had to walk out exhausted, frustrated, and with hungry children. Completely unacceptable experience and one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. I gave this place a poor review before but I thought maybe they were having a bad day, so I tried it again. My girlfriend's and I met for lunch. The place was empty. They looked short handed for help. Service was poor and it was odd since we were the only ones in the room. I will not go into the grizzly details of the food, but we all left hungry.
