    Chicken shawarma salad

I have been here a few times for lunch and Sultan's deliver is fresh, quality and a range of Mediterranean options. I came with a group and we got a variety of plate plates and salad salads, and everyone enjoyed their meal. You order at the front and they'll bring your food to your table so it is a casual dining option but healthier. There is ample seating as well as outdoor patio, which is nice. It is a good lunch stop!

Came in on a Saturday lunch hour. Food you order at the register - had their lentil soup and a combo kebab plate - you can choose 2 proteins of your choice to go on it . The lentil soup was more European in style and was devoid of actual lentils - tasty as it was - disappointing not to see a single lentil in it. On the platter plate - we had chicken and lamb - 4 skewers in total and enough for two - side salad and basmati rice with I think a little butter in it - tasty all the way round. Atmosphere at this place I can describe as vibrant - tv's playing every sport to which wait staff were even watching ! Would we come back - sure - but not for the lentil soup !

Shawarma Salad. Great portion, but seasoning on the meat was lacking. Wouldn't recommend.

I've been to this location a few times in recent months, and I think they are decent Mediterranean food, so long as you order the right dish. I really like their Chicken Adana plate, which comes with a pretty massive serving of kebab, sides of grilled veggies, salad, rice, and hummus (I like to sub baba ghanoush). It's a great meal for ~$20 after tax, and I think overall good value. The meat is fresh, juicy, well-seasoned, and always served at just the right temperature. I have also tried their shawarma salad, which I don't like as much. I find their shawarma meat to be pretty bland and not all that tasty, especially the lamb. I think if you stick to the kebabs and whole meat dishes, you can't go wrong.

I always make it a point to stop by either this location or the Danville location whenever I'm up in this area. Both are very consistent with the quality of their food. After ordering you're given a number to place on your table. The ice water is self-serve. Everything was clean and well-organized, from the large main dining room to the outdoor seating area. They do have large long tables for big parties but those need to be reserved. You can't go wrong with any item here. My usual is their chicken shish (kebab) plate or chicken shawarma plate with all rice, no salad. There is a $2 up charge for the no salad option though. The chicken is so flavorful and moist as is their rice. It's the best! While I'm giving five stars because the quality is there, my one piece of feedback would be regarding the service. The employees are very matter-of-fact and efficient, but they lack a bit of warmth

The food is decent. I don't understand the long queues, probably not worth visiting during busy hours so try to come when there's no line cos they do die eventually. As others have mentioned, management could do a lot better with cleanliness. Also try not to get too loud as the staff will ask you to quiet down, so probably not a good place for reunions, more of a quick casual quiet dining experience.

An airy and delightful spot where we enjoy spending time with our children; we are very lucky to have such friendly staff.

Beyti Kabob is one of their more popular dishes. I give it an 7/10. It's not spicy, has a stronger tomato flavor, but the meat was good. We also got their Chicken Adana Kabob Plate and that was good. Chicken was juicy and flavorful and pita was soft. Nice ambiance as well, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

At this point we've been here so often! The food is always consistently amazing with more than you can eat on each plate honestly and always lots of seats. Service is pretty fast and the ambiance is quite nice. I think the Livermore location has a nicer outdoor seating area, though but this place has better parking.

If you're craving comfort with a kick of culture, Sultan's Kebab in Pleasanton delivers. The lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender, rich with flavor, and clearly slow-cooked with love. Pair it with their Turkish coffee--bold, aromatic, and served just right--and you've got a meal that feels like a mini escape to Istanbul. The vibe is casual but clean, the staff is friendly, and the portions are generous. Whether you're popping in for a quick bite or settling in for a full feast, this spot hits the mark. Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu (and maybe sneak in a baklava or two).

Putting 3 stars to get avg score to 2.5. Unfortunately Yelp does not allow to do .5 values

    Rude worker

I ordered just a sandwich and it took over an hour to get it. I complained a few times and was told to shut up and wait. Terrible, rude, and condescending attitude from one individual in particular. The place was a zoo and no sense of prioritization of orders. Terrible ambiance at this stinky crowded joint. Smelled like farts every time the workers came either food from the kitchen.

This was only my second time dining at Sultan's Kebab, both times with our group of friends celebrating birthdays. They have a big selection of food, including vegetarian options. We were a party of 10 and as usual, dine like a family so we could try a variety of dishes. The hummus and falafel were decent, but the flatbread pide was a bit bland. On the brighter side, the meats were tender and well-seasoned. My friends especially loved the braised lamb shank which was served last. It was not my favorite because of the lamb aftertaste, but they really enjoyed it. The staff were helpful and attentive throughout our meal, which made the dining experience even better. Overall, it's a good spot for gathering with friends, sharing food, and exploring different flavors.

It was my first time trying Mediterranean food, believe it or not, and I loved it so much. I got the #1 on the menu--Lamb shish kebab-- and it was delicious. Rice was cooked to perfection as it was very soft. The lamb was chewy and it's evident that it was seasoned well. Hummus was also so good! Service was quick for a party of 8. The place itself was very spacious and had very nice decorations. I would love to try other dishes if I am ever in this area again.

Does the chicken casserole have a similar taste to tagine?

Mia, I am sorry but I did not have chicken. I had the beef & shrimp kabobs.

Does the chicken casserole have cheese or dairy in it?

No cheese or any kind of dairy

Anyone have celiac and have been able to dine safely at this restaurant? Are there gluten free options and low risk of cross contamination?

Many of the items are gluten free. You just need to tell them not to include pita. I am not sure if or how they avoid cross contamination.

    Is the meat hand-slaughtered (zabiha)?

Being our first time there, the people there have good suggestions. From those recommendations, we ordered the Chicken Shawarma Platter, Lamb, and Kofte Wrap, and were quite speedy serving the food. The Chicken Shawarma Platter was a nice portion, cooked nicely, and had good flavor. The Lamb was cooked perfectly and had good flavor, didn't have that gammy flavor, and was juicy. The Kofte Wrap was a nice size, juicy, and had nice flavor that worked well with the other ingredients in the Wrap. Overall, fast service and great food. What isn't there to like?

Unfortunately, I was served beef anyway. On top of that, the salad was spoiled. Shortly after eating it, I became extremely sick and started vomiting repeatedly. I called the restaurant to let them know what happened, but no one responded or made any effort to address the situation or follow up with me. Serving someone meat that goes against their religious beliefs is a serious mistake, and serving spoiled food is unacceptable. I hope the restaurant improves its food safety practices and pays closer attention to customers' dietary and religious restrictions so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

The restaurant is lively during dinner but surprisingly quiet at lunch, which makes me think more people need to discover how great the food is.
