Busy Friday night in a noisy environment. We were seated right away. The have at least 7 TVs and all had a different sports showing. So great for watching your games. I ordered a cup of the soup of the day, mushroom, when it arrived it could have been a bit warmer in temperature but the amount of salt in it was high. I also had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken added. I asked for the chicken to be well done it was cooked but only lightly grilled on one side? The salad amount was plentiful but again it was so salty tasting. Yes I know, Caesar dressing can be salty but this was over the top and I like salt. I had to rinse off the chicken breast when I brought it home for the puppies. Cook needs to back off on that one seasoning! The most concerning issue was a DJ setting up his equipment at an Exit door. This left one door at the front accessible. Scary! TIP: they really live up to their name!

I'm keeping the 4 stars, BUT last night was the first time in our regular experience going to Summer Salts over the last 10+ years. I decided to try a burger for the Thursday night special. I've never had hamburger here, but as I've said many times, everything here usually is great; however last night was a big disappointment with the Black & Bleu Burger. Burger itself had no flavor, dry and hardly any blue cheese on top which resulted in having that "bite" you'd expect from the Blue Cheese. The sandwich was served with ketchup which for this type of burger is almost sacrilege. Once I saw that I asked for blue cheese dressing to use as the condiment. I would have needed 2 little cups as I used the full cup I received and just didn't help the dryness or flavor. But, the addition of the sweet potato fries were heavenly. Just like "candy". That was my joy for the meal and my dessert. Hubby got his usual chicken sandwich and I looked at it with envy.

Ahi tuna wrap was delicious! Buffalo chicken sandwich was great! Crab cake sandwich tasty! French fries were amazing! Service good. Atmosphere was just fine but no music. We were in and out quickly and all pleased with our meals!

Food was fine. We called ahead for carry out which was prepared in a timely manner. Had we walked in to sit down we would have walked right out. The giant cut out of Trump/Vance was distasteful and offensive. The owners are entitled to their own (racist/misogynistic) political beliefs but should know that decor makes half the population lose their appetite. Will not return.

Literally never heard of this place before, it's actually located behind sea colony so it isn't far at all. We decided to try it the other night for a light dinner before seeing BARBIE. We got the Grilled Chicken Club and Southwest Burger. I will say the southwest seasoning in the burger was delicious. They also cooked the burger to a perfect medium. For sides we did the coleslaw and pasta salad. My overall assessment was that it's fine. The food didn't come looking stellar but tasted fine. Pasta salad isn't your traditional pasta salad. The coleslaw was pretty good and creamy. They didn't have a super long wait time for carry out which was ideal for the beach dinner rush. Definitely a good spot to get food when in a pinch!

We ordered a Crabby Burger and a Chicken Cheese Steak. The portions are big and the food was delicious. The servers were kind and attentive. It is definitely a place all the locals went since I went during off season. Overall a great experience other than the food coming out a little slower. Would definitely go back again!

3.475 That was the average score from 4 diners... I am kindly rounding up because of the superbly friendly service from our Nashville based college server and also tempered expectations in general. Put another way, this is a solidly average meal but probably above average for Bethany Beach. Big portions but short on original flavor. The cream of crab soup scored 3 stars because it was mostly cream. Our server recommended the seafood quesadilla and it did not disappoint- filled with scallops, shrimp, and fish. Pretty tasty. The chili cheese burger and (yummy) fries scored 3.7 with a lack of flavor. "An average burger," said our 16 year old. Our other 16 year old had the chicken pasta Alfredo (massive portion) but also concurred that it could have used more pizazz. As for me, I had the mahi mahi tacos which were disappointing. They need some onion or garlic or some cilantro or something remotely ethnic in there to give it some taste. And, they arrived in flour tortillas despite being advertised with corn tortillas (c'mon chef - there is a big difference). So....go in with eyes wide open and you should be fine. Amazing cuisine it is not. But it's a solid beach restauarant -- and maybe one of the better options around.

Each dish was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coconut cream pie was a standout dessert, and the seafood dishes were cooked perfectly. Atmosphere We sat at the back of the outside patio, which was pleasant in terms of seating and ambiance. However, the location had some drawbacks: The dumpster was directly behind us, and the smell carried into the dining area. Flies were present on the patio, and it seemed likely they were attracted by the dumpster rather than the breeze. 14 Global, the neighboring restaurant, had a cook who frequently exited the side door next to our table to smoke. The cigarette smoke drifted into our eating area, only 5-10 feet away. Overall Impression While the food was outstanding and the patio seating had potential, the environmental factors significantly detracted from the experience. The proximity to the dumpster and cigarette smoke made the meal less enjoyable. Recommendation I would not discourage anyone from visiting Patsy's -- the food is worth it. However, I would caution diners about the back patio seating, as the location near the dumpster and neighboring restaurant's smoking area can affect the overall dining experience.

When reading the menu, I didn't realize the restaurant originated in Baltimore which was interesting. I was excited to get my first crush of the season. I got a key lime crush which came with whipped cream on top which was weird but whatever. The crush was okay. A little too sweet for my liking. Our server was very nice and he checked up on us from time to time. We both got crab cake sandwiches. I upgraded my side with $2 waffle fries. The crab cake itself was a decent size and filled with a bunch of crab. You could tell there was a lot of fillers though. The waffle fries were okay. They arrived lukewarm. Service was good and the views on the rooftop is unmatched. It is def. more about the vibes then the actual food.

We asked to sit at a table by the balcony and the host said no and had a bad attitude towards us for asking a question. The host is located outside on the deck, not inside, and we noticed a lot of people making that same mistake. We decided to sit at the bar instead since we saw two open seats, and honestly, it worked out great. The two female bartenders were fantastic--very attentive, friendly, and helpful. They answered all my questions when I was trying to decide what kind of martini I wanted. We also tried the burnt pork belly special, which was really good. I just wish there were a few more pieces that were actually "burnt" or crispy because that's what I was looking forward to. Still, I would definitely order it again! The food overall was amazing. They had TVs playing and a DJ, but it wasn't overly loud, so we could still comfortably talk and enjoy our meal. The atmosphere was fun and lively without being overwhelming. Having frequented this location under its previous name, 99 Sea Level, I wanted to summarize our…read moreinitial two experiences under the restaurant's new management and rebranding. Our first visit took place on Mother's Day around 4:00 PM. Because brunch was still being served and dinner didn't begin until 4:15 PM, I booked a table for two, and we passed the time at the bar. We caught some live music while I enjoyed a $16 Maker's Mark Manhattan before settling the bar tab. Once dinner service opened at 4:15 PM, we were seated inside at table 45 to escape a breezy outdoor deck. It turned out to be the debut day for their new menu. I ordered another $16 Maker's Mark Manhattan and the $36 seafood stew--a rich combination of fish, clams, shrimp, fennel, pepper, onion, Spanish chorizo, and tomato seafood broth accompanied by grilled bread. It was a generous portion, so I brought the remaining stew home to enjoy later that evening. To conclude the meal, I tried the Lucky 7 porter from Evolution Craft Brewing Company ($7), which featured dark dried fruit and sweet toffee tones balanced by notes of chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Our server, Brendan V., did an excellent job caring for us and demonstrated great knowledge of the new menu, even while managing a large outdoor table with five children. Our total bill for that evening came to $114, excluding gratuity. We returned on Memorial Day for a second dinner, this time in a group of five that included family and a friend visiting from Scottsdale, AZ. Since the outdoor fire tables were completely full, we secured a table on the left side of the restaurant. I began with a spicy mango margarita for $14, which featured tequila, mango, lime, agave, jalapeno, and a tajin rim, and opted for the $36 seafood stew once again. Unfortunately, the cocktails were inconsistent this time; I ordered a Maker's Mark Manhattan up, but it tasted like watered-down bourbon. When a second Manhattan tasted exactly the same, I decided to cancel the order. Nevertheless, our server Nadine K. provided excellent service throughout the evening, and our bill came out to $92 before gratuity. Ultimately, we all agreed that we would gladly visit again.

I know the restaurant industry is difficult, and I am usually not one to write bad reviews, but…read morethis one is justified. Don't be lured by the great ocean views. This is still a hotel restaurant, and a mediocre one at best. The good . . . great views of the Atlantic and decent drinks. The bad . . . just about everything else. I'll preface this by saying that I was not going to write a review despite the underwhelming experience, but after the final straw, I simply can't resist. We started with a round of cocktails that were attractive and well mixed. The night was off to a good start. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. Appetizers were fried cauliflower and calamari. Entrees were crabcakes, a Caesar salad topped with a crabcake, seafood bucatini, and seafood stew. Service was indifferent at best. Server did not offer any specials until asked and did not know how to handle problems (see below). The appetizers came out and were fine. The cauliflower was fried, but not as crispy as a really good fried cauliflower. The chipotle aioli had a nice flavor. Calamari was well fried, but the sauce was overly salty. Then came the entrees. The seafood bucatini was the highlight in that it was perfectly acceptable. For $52, I expect a meaty crabcake with lots of jumbo lump. This crabcake was loaded with filler. As for the caesar salad, the menu says it comes with "Shaved parmesan, anchovies, croutons, house made caesar dressing." But the salad came out with no croutons. When we asked the server, he said they ran out of croutons and he needed to bring the manager over to offer a solution (which turned out to be sunflower seeds, smashed cashews, and leftover bread from the kitchen - when we said we'll take them, the server said we may be charged for keeping all three). Lettuce was also the top of the romaine, which was mushy and needed the non-existent croutons to save it. Then there's the seafood stew. The bowl came out with no spoon and no bread (and no plate for shells, but I guess that's not a necessity). They brought a spoon when asked, but said it doesn't come with bread, and we would need to order bread if we wanted it. Seemed odd, but okay. The broth was ridiculously salty and borderline inedible. We paid and left feeling like it was fine, but we probably won't return on future visits to Bethany. Then we checked the menu to see what it said about the seafood stew. Sure enough, it is supposed to come with "grilled bread." Perhaps they ran out of it with the croutons, but to say we would need to order it separately reflects a lack of knowledge of the menu, complete indifference, blatant lying, or all of the above. Beyond that, the pop music was far too loud for a restaurant that wants to be a decent restaurant. The view was nice, but I feel like I just threw my money into the ocean.
