They have online order, I didn't realize it was happy hour until I got to pick up at the counter, it wasn't on the counter so I had to ask, he brought two taro milk tea w boba to me, I first thought I accidentally ordered 2 until later I realized it's happy hour. However, taro favor is very much artificial and 50% sweetness is way too sweet but their boba is really good! 2nd time I got seaside tea which is fruity but 50% sweetness is still too sweet for me. Until I found my fav drink , it's matcha gon' banana...and there's 0% sweetness option! One time they ran out of boba and I was told it'd be a 10-minute wait. I've tried Summerfield before, but this is my first time at their Rosemead location which is significantly closer to me. I came here because they had a BOGO deal for their Matcha Colada drink on their app. I ordered through their app and got the two Matcha Coladas (both 100% sweetness, whole milk, no ice) along with a popcorn chicken and fries. Pro-tip: definitely recommend downloading their app as I got the fries for free as a sign-up bonus! Upon arriving, I thought the interior was quite stunning. It's very aesthetically pleasing, clean, and spacious! Lots of tables and chairs, so I could see this place get crowded during peak hours. I came here to do some school work and was able to find a spot with an outlet, so that was great. After finding a place to sit, I went up to the counter to pick up my food, but there was no employee in sight. They have a TV screen that displays if orders are complete or in progress, and despite my order being done, I had to wait a few minutes before an employee finally came out and gave me my order. While my popcorn chicken was still hot and fresh, my fries were just slightly warm which was odd to me lol, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. I thought the matcha colada was good, but nothing extraordinary. While I thought the sweetness was perfect, I wish the matcha flavor was stronger! It also has a coconut cold foam, but I only tasted a hint of coconut. Honestly, I would not pay $7 for it if they didn't have the BOGO deal, there's definitely better drinks out there for around the same price. I've been to the other location in Rowland but I prefer this location better. There is a lot more seats and it is cleaner. Summerfield gets a 3.8 out 5. We were here on a Thursday afternoon from around 2 to 6. It's quite a nice spot to do work with someone and enjoy a snack or drink. There are plenty of tables but the place does get quite rowdy and loud around 3 pm after Rosemead HS students get out. The lighting in the space is bright and the decor matches the natural vibes of the store well. The restrooms are also quite nice but a little dark. Wifi is also free with every order and parking is a non-issue with the huge lot. Ordering can sometimes be an issue just because the store is popular and the digital kiosk can have a line. I personally like ordering at the main kiosk with a cashier but there's usually not someone there as they're either busy with the drive thru or in the back preparing drinks. Personal issue and just something to note, but tables near the windows do have some glare so it can be a little difficult to do work on a laptop. Otherwise the tables and chairs were nice to sit on. There are sometimes issues with finding spaces to sit when the store is full but it is based on a first come first serve basis. Sometimes my family comes here to just chill and chat. Mango snow is a favorite of mine and I love the star shape jelly shapes at the bottom. This one is so delicious to me and I love how its like a frozen mango smoothie. Chewing the atar shaped jelly is also so fun and they're mango flavored as well which makes it tasty. The Sunset Tea was good but my sister did not like the aloe Vera. She would've much preferred having a different topping like lychee jelly or even rainbow jelly. We got the tea + popcorn chicken combo and the chicken itself was quite nice. I like the flavor of their chicken and it is quite crispy. The sweet chilli and the spicy powder also pairs nicely with the chicken. I wish they gave a little more chicken though as the price is around $8-9. I wanted to also get fries but our total was already around ~$21 so the items do add up. I believe all of their locations have a drive-thru which is a bonus on sweltering hot days or if you have a sleeping baby or cranky kids in the car. There are plenty of outlets for those who plan on bringing their laptop. Also when you ask for less ice they actually use minimal ice. Now for the con: the tea was so watered down. We ordered 2 seaside teas with less ice and 25% sugar. After reading many reviews saying their drinks were pretty sweet (and as someone who regular orders 0-25% sugar at other popular tea places) we decided to go with 25%. Tbh 25% wasn't sweet at all but also the tea had no flavor. If it weren't for the toppings it would taste like water. Not sure if I'll be back. I was genuinely excited when I saw a new boba spot open up in the area. I'm always down to try something new, and I had a little hope that this could be a hidden gem. That said, I've been to their location in Rowland Heights before, and that one wasn't exactly amazing either, so I came in with low expectations. Still, I wasn't prepared for just how much I'd regret ordering here. Let's start with the service. It was okay. Not particularly friendly or welcoming, but not rude either. Just neutral and a bit rushed. We used the tablet, and they called it out when it was ready, and that was about it. For me, that's totally fine, but what wasn't fine was that the drinks lacked any effort. We ordered four drinks in total, two different teas and two milk teas. None of us adjusted the sugar levels, so we expected a standard amount of sweetness. What we got instead were drinks that tasted like watered-down milk. Literally no flavor. No tea. No sugar. Nothing. Just bland liquid. It was honestly hard to tell the difference between them, because they all tasted the same, and not in a good way. Now, to be fair, the interior of the shop is really nice. It's clean, modern, and feels like a good place to study or hang out. Plus, they're open VERY late, which is always a bonus. This is about to be my new favorite place to do work! The ambiance is top tier in here. I came an hour after they opened and the vibes were so nice. Super calm and amazing lofi music playing. It did get rowdier as it got later--this location is actually quite busy. The music changed to rowdier songs in the afternoon, which I didn't really like to be honest hahaha. Ample parking! A drive thru window! Clean restroom! Natural light so strong that my eyes were hurting from how bright it was! This place has everything. The drinks are pretty good. Friend was not impressed with the banana matcha. Lacking banana flavor. My Sunrise tea was great, I love all of the toppings included in the drink. This was such a nice place! I came around 7:30pm and parking was still pretty easy to find. They have a pretty big parking lot that is shared with di pillas. It's so big inside and there are plenty of tables. Great place to hang out or do some work. I haven't tried a drink that really stood out to me but the popcorn chicken is pretty good! I even saw a group casually playing cards. It would get a little loud during peak hours. The space is equipped with outlets, so charging your devices is easy if needed. You can place your order at the self-serve kiosks or directly at the counter. When your order's ready, they'll notify you with a buzzer or a text message. Service was quick and efficient -- very convenient overall. I can definitely see this becoming a popular hangout spot for high school students once the school year starts.
