I love trying new places and this place has really good matcha options. Summerfield took over the former Carls Jr in rosemead. I've been through the drive through and it's fast, quick, and easy. On my second visit I decided to go inside while I waited for my son to get off school. Ordered through the app as their promo was for free fries. Nice interior with students and customers studying. The restroom was disgusting tho (-1 star). There was pee all over the floor and I was pretty grossed out. They need to have someone clean and sanitize the restrooms. I stood up in front and there were 2 staff at the registers. No one greeted me or asked if I needed help ordering or if I was there for pick up (-1 star). Received my order and left. The fries were surprisingly good. The seasoning was great however my boba milk tea tasted watered down. I would stick to their matcha option. On a Saturday afternoon in August, my sister and I went to tea place in Rosemead. It's next to Di Pillas Italian restaurant at the former Carl's Jr. They open at 1pm and there was people inside. People were ordering on the tablet and I ordered on the app. The interior is nice with mint green color, fake plants, classical piano music playing g in background. Most of the tables has plugs to plug the laptop. I ordered strawberry matcha latte drink and waited beyond 1:17pm. The kitchen was busy so delay of picking up drink. I had to ask at the counter and waited 10 extra minutes. I couldn't taste or see the strawberry so I didn't go back to counter for remake. We stayed there enjoying their AC and stayed till 3:30pm. By 2:30pm, all the tables were filled of students with their laptops. Nice Ac in the cafe. Next time I should order some appetizers or tea drinks. We left at 3:30pm, the parking lot was busy. This was my first time visiting Summerfield Tea Bar in Rosemead and it is a nice spot for flavorful drinks. Clean, modern vibe, and the staff is friendly and efficient, making the experience pleasant from start to finish. They have the cutest drink cups. Inside they have a lot of tables (some still have some sticky residue) with outlets so you can either chill with friends or work from here with your laptop. I got their Brown Sugar Boba Milk, which is rich and creamy and later on also got their Jasmine Green Milk Tea. Very smooth tea aroma and light sweetness. Perfect for me. I came here weekly trying different drinks and snacks, didn't think to take a picture of the first few times until I went with a friend. Some of the drinks were pretty good. Not mind blowing or amazing. Food was good, my only gripe with the snacks was that it's over price for the amount you get. I've gone to other places and portions are much bigger for the same price. So I feel like inclined to buy the snacks that they offer. I've tried the popcorn chicken and fried tofu, honestly if they had given a much bigger portion, I'd keep buying it. The cup they put the snacks in is pretty misleading. My first time here, I got the matcha banana, it's pretty good. But, the second time I went here, I got a regular matcha, I think the matcha alone was ok. Third time coming here, got the mango slushie looking drink. That one's not worth it. I used to live in the SGV so I frequently passed by this Carl's Jr and was so excited to see it opened into another tea shop! They were having a BOGO promo on their milk teas. Strawberry matcha was definitely my fav of the bunch! Love that you were able to really taste both aspects and the sweetness level was perfect. Not overly sweet. The matcha latte was kind of disappointing. It was so light in flavor that it really just tasted like milk. I ended up getting the roasted oolong milk tea with honey boba and popcorn chicken. The drink was pretty good, it was a nice balance of sweetness and tea flavor, and the honey boba was delicious as usual. The popcorn chicken was pretty decent. It's pretty fresh and tasted good. I usually order jasmine milk tea at every Summerfield location and have never had an issue, but at this location, all the drinks I tried tasted noticeably different and very watered down. I ended up switching to the original milk tea, but sadly, that wasn't much better. I decided to buy the Aloha to take home and am hoping it'll be a better but it wasn't sadly. On a positive note, the service was good and everyone was friendly and understanding. The space itself is large and perfect for big groups.
