Would give a zero if I could. This company was assigned to my grandmother by her insurance when her house burned down due to an electrical fire. Well not only did they not keep any of her stuff that could be salvaged despite telling her they would they also prolonged her re build more than once. It only got done because my grandmother was no longer going to be funded a place to live by the insurance anymore and she told them to either have it done or not because she is moving in on the finish date they had given her prior. They also constantly had management up and disappear leaving new people to constantly run things. They sucked at communication and the only time they were good at it was when my grandma needed to pay them. They did awful work on the house. Cheap stuff and awful builds. We have had so many issues with the house already that it's insane. They literally forgot to put insulation in half of the attic. Like how does one forget that. We still currently have issues but the contractors no longer respond to us. They ghosted us despite us being warranted. This company is not professional and lacks work ethics. Would not recommend this company. Find your own personal contractors if possible, don't go off of your insurances because 9/10 times they will refer you to the ones that benefit the insurances in costs over your own benefit. read more

We were referred to this company by our insurance company. At first they seemed great. They came quickly, did nice work. However we have now been receiving non stop harassment calls bc they want us to complete a survey. I'd be happy to do so if like anyone else they sent an email. But no we are getting 5-6 calls a day and when we answer they don't say anything. We then called the office directly and asked them to stop with the calls and the person who answers the phone gave us attitude and was cutting us off as we are trying to speak. It's too bad bc I was planning on giving you great reviews but since you have proven you have the worst customer service you get the terrible review. This is an update...after receiving a call it turns out that there is a third party that was calling regarding a survey. Something set up through my ins company. Summit didn't know about this. This does not excuse the way we were talked to when we were calling to figure out why we're getting the harassing phone calls. It's only safe to assume when we are asking to review a company that it's that company asking for a review. However that treatment we got when only trying to stop the calls is why I'm taking away one star. read more

Rob was wonderful from the initial job estimate & Glenn & Diego did an absolutely fantastic job repairing my ceiling. They were so friendly, professional and timely. They took great precautions to drape my personal stuff so as to ensure minimal dust. This job was originally estimated to be two days but they got it done in several hours and it looks phenomenal. Summit was one of a couple restoration companies referred to me by my insurance agent. After an initial snafu, I was given a new Foreman. John was wonderful with keeping everything on track with the repairs, kept me apprised of changes and 'issues.' The work was done very well and the sub contractors were professional and timely, which was much appreciated. Office staff is wonderful as well. Heather in billing was communicative, friendly, and understanding. All in all, I would highly recommend Summit for any and all home repairs or restorations. Very unreliable. We came home from vacation to find our water heater leaked and caused damage to our master bedroom. We allowed our insurance company to recommend them. The mitigation went fine. They came out right away and cut out the wet sheet rock, and put fans in to dry it. Unfortunately, it went south VERY quickly. We had to constantly call them to see when someone else would be out to start repairs. We even told them over and over that we'd pay out of pocket and take care of it directly with our insurance company ourselves. We were without hot water until the utility room was repaired. It took approx 10 days for the estimator to come out. He actually told my husband that he didn't know why he hadn't been assigned to this claim as he hadn't been doing anything else. Then, they said they were still another 2 weeks out to get someone out to start the repairs. They also wanted us to sign a contract without confirming a start date. We fired them and found our own contractor and ALL repairs, except replacing the carpet was completed within 4 days. Including having hot water restored. Would not recommend this company and will make sure our insurance company knows of the problems of who they're recommending as a preferred contractor! read more

My insurance company (USAA) connected me with Summit to secure my roof after sustaining some fairly severe damage from a monsoon that brought 80mph winds, heavy rain and hail with it. I had quite a lot of water coming through various areas of my home after the shingles and roofing paper were blown off. With another large storm is expected again tonight, I had some pretty major concerns about going through another storm with my roof now in bad condition. To my Tremendous relief, Paige of Summit had David out to my home within 4 hours of our speaking. He surveyed the damage inside and out and went right to work tarping my roof and making it as secure as possible for another storm. I can't fully express my gratitude and appreciation. Paige was so kind and reassuring, and David was incredible as well - knowledgeable, personable, and so pleasant. We had a middle of the night nightmare in March of 2020 and I'm so thankful we used Summit to help us rebuild after a flood. Steve Kerns was so wonderful to work with and responsive. All the work was completed in a timely manner and using the ever evolving guidance at the time. I happen to be chronically ill and they always took great precautions to keep us safe. Their team was realistic about the time frame it would take to remodel from the water damage that took out both bathrooms and two of our bedrooms. I was so happy with the finished product. It was our house but better after Summit was done. They were very helpful in a terrible situation and saved us money in comparison to other quotes. My home had water damage June 5 and my insurance company sent Summit Restoration out to take care of us. Over a week's time 5 cabinets were pulled out and several walls were cut up to 2 feet from the ground. We are in October now and I just don't see an end. They are trying to fit pieces of old cabinets onto the new and placing my old granite countertops back onto the rebuilt cabinets. It's not fitting. The repair of the walls have been done twice now. Trim done twice also. The materials used the first time were different and didn't fit but the company used it anyway. On exterior walls they did not put insulation into the wall. clean out was covered by drywall and cable boxes were covered also. The cable box being covered was the only reason I was able to get them to open the wall back up to show them that what I suspected about no insulation being put into the walls was true. I have so much more to say but don't want to waste anymore time. However, I did look at the reviews when we decided to allow Summit Restoration to repair the damage and they were relatively good. I want you to consider another business. Any other business has to be better. I just have to believe that there can't be worse than Summit Restoration. read more

Summit recently handled a major water damage repair at our house. It involved mold remediation, repairs in HVAC closet, complete removal & replacement of our MBR closet system, painting, etc. They quickly and professionally took care of assessing the damage and getting the repair and restorations moving. Their ongoing coordination and management of the work was exceptional. They saw that the work was done correctly and on time, Their project manager, John Burkhart kept us informed and was always reachable. We especially appreciated how Summit was our "single point of contact" and handled all billing, payments, insurance, etc. We would recommend them to anyone. read more

I called them the night before Thanksgiving with a water leak in my garage. They responded promptly and took immediate action to stop the leak. So far, so good. However, they then took over 6 weeks to repair the damage. Because it took so long, I had another leak in the interim. They wouldn't do anything regarding the 2nd leak until I paid in advance. I was referred to Summit Construction by our insurance agent to fix our kitchen loss. To be honest, I was not expecting much but agreed to at least meet with them. Met with Steve Kerns and I was sold. Steve was amazing, super knowledgeable, very organized and got the ball rolling ASAP. He was super attentive to detail and always reachable. Steve got an excellent "temporary" kitchen set up for us while we waited for our cabinets to be made. When it was time for demo and install, DJ was our project manager. DJ was super great and easy to work with. Every interaction I had with a Summit employee (office staff, plumbers, tile guys etc.) was extremely pleasant. Once a week the owner would call to check in and see how things were going. They got our kitchen done as quickly as possible and it turned out PERFECT. Quality of their work was top notch. John was very honest and realistic about the insurance check we had already received and made sure we would be satisfied with his company's work. I had a water leak from a broken valve on a toilet. My whole house was one inch under water. I was out of town and called my Insurance company who had Summit go and do the dry out. I must tell you if this should happen to you make sure you know who the players are when it comes to you house and belongings. Summit took off all my new electrical plates with the matching white screws I no longer have the white screws and plates are everywhere. All they had to do was throw them in a box so plates and screws were together. They removed all base cabinets. They broke a piece of my granite counter. My insurance adjuster was surprised to see cabinets removed when he thought they were fine. I have broken items from them tearing stuff out. I was so upset that the inside adjuster told me she would cancel them and I could get my own contractor. When I came home I did get my own contractor and the inside adjuster is no longer in charge I was given someone new. I do still have the adjuster who was surprise to see the cabinets removed. Edge is another company I would not use. If they are on yelp I will have a review on them also. read more

Summit Restoration and their staff saved me and my brand new house! A leak in an upstairs bathroom caused water damage all through the floor and into the downstairs ceiling of the garage. I called on a Saturday morning and they were there in less than an hour with huge industrial fans to dry everything out. The damage was scary to look at as a homeowner. They came back to assess the damage with what I can only describe as an "ultra sound" tool for water damage, (which as terrible as the situation was, it was an awesome device!) and assured me my home would be as good as new when they were done. And they delivered exactly what they promised! The Summit staff was so caring and great to work with. I hope to never have the issue again but if I do they are my first call! I was in need of a restoration firm to repair damage done to the outside and inside wall of my garage. Summit was recommended by the insurance adjuster as a firm to use. We advised Summit that we had an event in 4 weeks and people would be coming to our house. The administrative portion of getting the job started was exceedingly long ( 4 weeks) but once they finally started, they worked like the dickens to meet our event date. I worked closely with Nhan Tran in coordinating building inspections, workers coming to do their work and eventually with the final inspection by the city.
