My third time visiting this newer establishment. First two times, sat at a table. Both good experiences. Tonight, totally different story. We stopped in for what I was hoping to have a few drinks. Well....my trip consisted of only having 1 drink. Sat at the bar on this trip, as we didn't want to take up a table since we knew we would be just drinking. Was able to order our first round in a very acceptable amount of time. After that, the wheels came off! Both bartenders seemed to purposely avoid us, as they never once came over to check on us after first said drink. Meanwhile, patrons who arrived after we did, were waited on several times over. After about 35 minutes of waiting to have to opportunity to place another drink order, I decided I'd had enough, and stood up to try and gain the bartender's attention, so I could at least pay my bill. It still took her a few minutes to finally come over. Only then did she ask if I'd wanted another drink. I advised her not after waiting approximately 35 minutes to hopefully get another drink. I mean it's Vegas, there are many other places that would LOVE to take my money. After this extremely lackluster experience, I believe I'll never be back unless I get the urge to feel ignored and unwanted. read more

Just take the juke box off the wall. Put money into it just for the new bartender to turn it off. I get it that not everyone likes certain music but those machines can be programmed. PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA. Do I have your attention now? So why am I focusing on pizza at a tavern? Because it is one of the best pizzas I have had in the north area, in all of Las Vegas for that matter. My wife and I have been here several times and I had heard that they made their own pizza dough each day. Last night I finally ordered one. Was I ever glad I did. I got cheese pizza with ham and sausage. The pizza came out hot and smelling wonderful. From the first bite, I was in love. The crust was crispy but also had so,e chew to it. The cheese was hot enough to blister the roof of your mouth. Perfect starting g temperature. I could not believe that I was getting a great pizza at a pub. If I had any complaint is that there was too much ham added. Made a few bites a bit salty. The price is also a lot cheaper than most decent pizza places. Also, unlike most pizza places, you can get beer, wine, or any other drink you want. And not to ignore those that do not like pizza, their menu is stocked with other tasty treats. The wife had a cheese steak which she loved. And their soups are fantastic. They are all made on site. The place is new and had that new air about it. It is clean, the bar has plenty of seating as does the eating area. And we have yet to have bad service when we were there. I have gone to Summit to try their pizza. I was really good. Then I got a pizza to go, again, great pizza. Tried them for breakfast last week. I says on the menu, Texas French toast. Maybe that is where they got the bread from, but it was regular white bread. NOT Texas Toast. It was very good, just not what is on the menu. The three times I had been there, the lady bartenders were very personable, fun to talk to, and the service was great. I decided after church on Good Friday that I would try their fish & chips. What a mistake! It was about 1630hrs. Sat down, I don't know if it was shift change, but the bartender appeared to be busy at the register. He didn't acknowledge me, but he was talking to the young lady(who appeared to be a regular) sitting 5 seats to my right. After about 4 minutes, he finally said be right with you. He was at the register but talking back & forth with people he knew, who seemed like regulars. He finally came over, and I ordered a Coors draught. He gave me the drink, and he didn't ask if I wanted anything else. I had to ask for a menu. Which he tossed on the bar. I had to grab it to keep it from sailing past me and into the floor. I ordered the fish & chips. While waiting for my food, I just sat there. Nobody spoke to me. The bartender was "busy" with the regulars and the waitresses. One of the kitchen staff brought out my food to me. The slaw was good, the tarter sauce didn't have much flavor, the fries were so-so, the fish was so overcooked it looked like two very well-done steaks. It was dry and had no flavor. Would never get the fish & chips again. If this had been my first time at Summit, I would not be back I would still get the pizza, but most likely to go. I don't need to feel like I'm intruding on the regular's private party I only tipped about half of what I normally do because of the service. I worked as a bartender as a summer job at the beaches in Rhode Island. I was a bartender at Foxwoods Casino. I was trained that the bartender's job is not only to make drinks. If you see a new customer, if you aren't busy, you need to make them feel welcome. Talk to them, specifically if it is only one person. Try to make them feel like you are glad they came to your bar so they want to come back. That is how the young ladies who waited on me the other times made me feel. I really want to like this place because it's so close to home. We've been planning to go all week after some early massages, so was disappointed on the fish and chips which is what I ordered. Two cooked very hard pieces of cod? On a bed of fries. I've had fish and chips in many places but this has to have been the worst. My wife had a garden salad which was delish. PACKED from the moment I walked in on a busy Saturday eve, the bartenders Lexi & Ashley stayed calm, cool, & collected and were so sweet as I waited for a machine to open up but the highlight for me was server NELLY. Service. Not going back. Their gaming policy/comped drinks is terrible, based only on cash put into machines, not on time and size of bet. We (2of us) put in $60, spent 1.5 hours at $1.25 a hand ( we won enough to keep playing), had 6 drinks, and were still charged $28 for 4 drinks. Left a couple of messages for GM to get clarification. Didn't respond. Guess they don't care. We were looking forward to a new place to call home, but I guess that's not happening. Not going back. The wife and I went to Summit Tavern last night for a meeting, which included food and beverages. We thought the food, particularly the pizza, was really good, so this morning we went there for breakfast to see how that would turn out. We each ordered their basic breakfast, which is 3 eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast, all for $11 - a great deal for the price, amount, and quality of food. Kelly was our server and she was a star! Went to try this new tavern on a Tuesday evening but unfortunately, we sat at the table for 10-15 minutes without even being acknowledged, no hello, no menus. Wait staff was walking around but couldn't care less if we were there. Decided to leave after 15 minutes. Great, friendly service. Nice new venue, seating comfortable and not too loud. I had the veggie pizza, large portions and I took some home which is good the next day. This is a personal observation, the menu selections not large for my taste. I recommend checking online before heading over to see if the selections are to your liking.
