I had given up on Chinese buffets back in 2014.I know that the people that run some of those Asian food buffets would not eat the food they served to others.Oily, over cooked tasteless stuff. It was ubiquitous...from North Dakota to Minnesota. It was worst in smaller towns. Well not anymore! Guess who's back...back again...buffets back...tell a friend! Teppanyaki Grill and Supreme Buffet has renewed my faith in Asian food buffets.I walked in hesitant but very soon my hesitance turned in to unbridled happiness. The food was fresh and hot! A concept that works! A few things stood out like the Teppanyaki Chicken,Roasted prime rib and hot and spicy chicken! The fried rice was prepared well and fresh. The chicken for the hot and spicy chicken had crunch when bitten in too. The Mongolian grill was nicely kept with tons of fresh choices of meat and fresh veggies. They also had a sushi bar.The amount of different varieties of food was almost endless. Desert was a treat with the chocolate fountain and real ice cream that had to be scooped! If you are around Minneapolis this is the spot to check out for Asian buffet food.

Just your average buffet with average tasting food. Their sushi rolls are bigger than what I'm used to.

Can I let my teens stay and eat here then pick them up?

. Prepayment is required for minors to eat by themselves. Also please don't forget to add the tip, so they will receive great service from the service staff.

I was not a fan of the cream cheese wontons, as the outside used was too thick. The servers were quick and accommodating to our drink requests & cleaning up our finished plates. Beverages are included which was nice. I love getting hot tea. The restaurant was clean & well taken care of. You pay when you first arrive with cash or card (they only take visa and mastercard). Note that if you pay with a card and add a tip, they will just give you cash from the register for the tip amount to leave at your table when you leave. I would bring cash to tip your server with at your table. After paying, you can seat yourself anywhere and a server will come by and take your beverage order. The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks, drip coffee, and hot tea. Their Dr. Pepper is extra syrupy compared to normal fountain drinks, would recommend! Throughout the meal, the server will clear your empty plates and at the end of the meal they will drop off fortune cookies and towelettes. Crab days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. During these days they serve lil crabs. There is also a build your own noodle station where you can choose your mix-ins and sauces, and they'll fry it up for you. The fried rice is solid and the garlic toast is shockingly really good. Food is pretty fresh and warm, and there are people constantly refilling trays and cleaning the buffet.

There was no one to greet you, I think this is mostly a take out place on the weekdays. I go into the back where I see a buffet looking area, before that i see that there are two papers on the wall. A price for in-dining, per lb and a price for take out. There is a young man there and I tell him I'm eating in. He takes a plate, and loads it which what I want. It's a shame its by per lb, because there were so many good item so to try, but I could only put so much on the plate. I got greens, yams, black eyed peas, bbq chicken leg and mac n cheese and jerk spaghetti. The food was overall good and I loved the jerk spaghetti and bbq chicken leg the best. I wanted to try some other stuff but I wasn't going to pay another $20 something for it.

*I did not dine at the restaurant*…read more My review is based on my job ordering Mama Sheila's for a BHM luncheon. They ordered bbq chicken, smothered chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans & cornbread. If i'm being honest none of the food looked appetizing in the serving trays so I was already skeptical. I've always kind of heard mixed reviews about MS but it was still on my list to check it out. My job allowed us 1 meat option, 1 side + green beans and cornbread. I got the bbq chicken and it was sitting in a watery bbq sauce (which was explained by a coworker serving it as it's a bbq gravy?) I got the baked mac and cheese, which a soul food restaurant should be able to deliver... it was just salty! The cheese burnt on top was inedible and it overall it wasn't good. The cornbread was really dry. Overall not good.

One standout for me was the chicken wild rice soup, which was rich, comforting, and surprisingly enjoyable even with mushrooms mixed in -- the flavors were well balanced and hearty without being overpowering. The salad bar was another strong point, with a good range of fresh ingredients and prepared salads that felt thoughtfully stocked rather than repetitive. The pizza was decent -- not the highlight of the meal, but serviceable and satisfying as part of the larger selection. To finish, the ice cream was excellent and easily one of the most enjoyable parts of the experience, offering a classic, nostalgic end to the meal. Overall, Q Cumbers is a solid choice if you're looking for variety and comfort in a relaxed, casual setting. It's especially well-suited for diners who enjoy being able to customize their meal and sample multiple items in one visit. Q Cumbers is worth a try if you haven't been. The variety makes it easy to find something you'll enjoy, and there are a few standout items that make the experience feel comforting and familiar rather than overwhelming. Service is good as staff are good about cleaning stations and picking up dirty dishes.

We had a later lunch and by the time we left, there was still a long line to get in. It has a nice variety of dishes to select from. Let's start with the obvious: it's a buffet. We're getting our own plates, our own refills, doing the whole "DIY dining" thing. Fine. But for that price, you'd expect at least decent food. Instead, it was bland, forgettable, and sitting somewhere between lukewarm and questionable. Now the part that really sealed it: as we were literally getting up to leave, an employee approached us and demanded a tip. Not suggested. Not politely mentioned. Demanded. Then another staff member came over, pointed at the receipt, and told me I needed to tip. I'm actually a generous tipper, happily so, when it's earned. But being confronted like that? That's not service, that's pressure with a side of audacity. I even tried to clarify, thinking maybe gratuity wasn't included and I misunderstood. I was told, "No, service is completely separate." Okay... then maybe make that crystal clear somewhere? A sign, a note, literally anything. I would have gladly run to my car to grab cash and come back if it had been handled respectfully. But after being cornered and told I had to tip? Absolutely not. If your business model relies on tipping, act like it. Don't ambush customers on their way out like they're skipping out on a bill. Between the overpriced, underwhelming food and the aggressive tipping situation, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while.
