Not too many choices compared to the other big buffets around here. It's actually a really big buffet but you only have like about an average of 30-40 choices of actual food to choose from. For a Chinese Buffett place, this place is ok. The parking lot is pretty big, but it's being shared with a lot of other surrounding businesses. However, there are quite a few spots designated just for Buffett patrons, I was lucky to grab one of these on my way in. This place is pretty big, plenty of seats for large parties. Because of this, I got seated pretty quick! One of the first things I do before I commit to any buffet style place is to do a quick walk through to see what they have to offer, and how fresh the food looks. I was actually impressed with the selection. Lots of seafood options and quite a bit of freshly rolled sushi items with actual fish! not just the artificial crab and veggie mixes that other places offer. They also offered a build-your-own stir fry option. You get to pick your own veggies, meats, noodles, and sauces to create a one of a kind meal. I skipped this cuz the line looked really long.... Some items looked like they had been sitting around for a while and were looking pretty sad, like the Prime Rib cuts. There weren't a lot of asian style vegetable options. The dessert table was pretty large though, with lots of scoopable ice cream flavors to choose from. The weekend buffet price was only $11.99 which would have been cheaper than filling a take out box full of food and pay by the pound. read more

First of all, this place has the best chicken and broccoli I've ever had, anywhere. This is a buffet, obviously, but the meat quality seems higher overall than the average takeout place (and certainly better than the average buffet). It has some quirks and you shouldn't come expecting it to magically not be a buffet, but I'd say it's one of the best values for price in the Twin Cities area. The variety can be overwhelming. I've never had a bad chicken dish here, and this is one of the only buffets I've been to that had genuinely good beef dishes. The green beans are excellent. The white rice has an above buffet-average flavor and texture. They have a lot of interesting seafood I've never tried, but the sushi is, again, above buffet-average. Oh! And the apple slices are extra delicious because they're mixed with pineapple juice to keep them from browning. read more

It was....fine, sushi bar was very good, the hibachi line took a long time and they kept throwing their spatulas around dropping them on the floor then picking them up and rinsing them off.... food line was pretty decent, dessert line was somewhat lacking.... the bathroom was clean but had a lot of scratched in graffiti on the beautiful wooden stall doors.... the salad bar was, OK..... the worst part for me was the lack of cleaning of the entree lines, i actually watched a lady wait person more than once walk around the bar with a rag checking food levels but not taking a moment to wipe the spilled food off, makes the bar look very dirty.... plus the entire time we were there she held the rag and not once did I see her ever rinse it in any cleaning solution bucket (which I did not see any sanitizer buckets anywhere). The waitresses were prompt with drinks and refills but dirty tables were slow to be cleared on a not very busy evening.... the pricing of $15 for dinner was decent but I wouldn't pay any more.... drinks were included with the meal. update: Dear manager who replied, if you read my review, no, it actually was not particularly busy when i was there, the dining room was less than half full. The product lines from the grill to the entrees to the desserts were consistently not cleaned or picked up even though the wait staff walked around the bars checking the product. Maybe instead of making excuses on line (BTW, being busy is not an excuse for cleanliness) you should bring this observation up to the staff and use it as a training exercise. I love this place and come as often as I can.! I first tried it with my brother, boyfriend and my very handsome son.! And have been here many times afterwards.! I love Lo mien and there's was fabulous. second favorite thing would be the mussels. My boyfriend hates them but I recently got my 2 year old son to try them and he loved them as well. Each time I get two plates of just Lo mien & Mussel. Can't go wrong with me there. The place is very beautiful, they didn't even leave out the bathroom, I love what they did with this place. Before it used to be a Ispot clothing store. (which I was bummed to see go) but they definitely hit the jackpot with this place. I love how the space is even out and the changing colors on the wall where the food is a touch of taste. which I am from south Minneapolis and this place feels like top notch. On the down side, the staff are a bit weird they sit right behind you or across the room as if someone is going to run out without paying. They also have american food, regular food, my son is used too. which I find I great. But he isn't scared to try new things. Teppanyaki. How to describe this place? Enormous, intense, crowded buffet. The night we were there it was PACKED to the gills. Food was being refilled pretty quickly, but it was a somewhat stressful experience. People seemed to be going nuts loading their plates. I've been to more than my fair share of buffets over the years, but this was something else. As soon as they refilled a dish, there were 10 people on top of it, frantically scooping it all out. Mysterious variety of dishes. Lots of "American" food, many of the usual suspect Chinese buffet dishes not to be found. Maybe the worst part... lots of unattended kids and teenagers. Touching everything. Taking egg rolls without using tongs. Leaning into the ice cream bins with their hair hanging into the food. I've got a kid. She was with me. I like kids, but holy smokes, they don't know how to keep their grubby hands to themselves! Overall, experience was pretty meh. Food forgettable, too stressful, not for me. read more

I'D WATCH WHAT I PUT ON MY PLATE AT THE STIRFRY STATION. IF YOU LIKE TO EAT BRINE FILLED SHRIMP, THEN YOU CAN GET YOUR FILL. my experience was not satifying. I went to the stir-fry station and made my selection of what i wanted, I had a question about the shrimp because sitting right in the middle of the shrimp container was a shrimp with a huge brine in it.(Complete turn off.) So i mentioned it to the chef, and asked if he debrines the shrimp. The answer was no. This of course got me a of overcooked food. Tasteless. It's a little pricey on Sunday as well. Another thing i noticed was they gave me a glass of water with no ice in it. I also noticed that happening with mostly all A.A., However other people not of African decent received refreshing ice filled cold water. Mines had been sitting at the station for a while, and was not cold, nor did it have ice in it. Great Chinese Buffet with an amazing selection. They really have just about everything and do a really good job with most of their items. Dishes we loved: Beef Broccoli, Chicken Broccoli, any piece of sushi, Spring Rolls, Chicken Wings, and Lo Mein. Dishes that need work: Tofu (was mushy) and Crab Rangoons (too sweet). Dishes to avoid: Shrimp Alfredo (yeah, Italian) and Pork Egg Roll (just gross). We celebrated Dad's birthday here and we all really enjoyed ourselves. They had a huge room with a large table for our party. They were friendly and provided excellent service (refilled drinks often). There is one host (who looks to be the only Caucasian employee) who isn't exactly friendly, but she's not rude either. She just stands out because the rest of the staff is so friendly. This particular buffet is not bad. I used to come here every once in a while when I have a craving for buffets, but after discovering Super Moon and Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet, I stopped coming here. They have a relative decent selection of variety of dishes, sushi, and seafood as well. They also have a Mongolian stir -fry grill. There wasn't anything in particular about the food that stood out to me - it is of typical buffet level, and I usually go there when I have cravings for large amounts of crawfish, shrimps, and etc. One thing that was nice though is their selection of ice cream! They have quite a few more flavors than other buffets, and this includes green tea!! The green tea ice cream was also one of the reasons why I used to come here often. Another pro is that their prices are cheaper than Super Moon and Hibachi Grill & Supreme. Service is a hit or miss similar to most buffets, but I am not really looking for that when I come to a buffet, so it's alright as long as they refill my beverages and take away my dirty plates promptly. read more

I came one time during a Friday lunch. The place is big and clean. Service was fast. $8/person for lunch. The food did not stand out. Sushi was cold, chewy with a lot of filler rolls. Buffet section had many options, however, they did not impress us. Seafood was not there as other reviews mentioned. I didn't try the Mongolian style grill bar. This is the worst place I have ever eaten at. Looking for a good place to have lunch to get away for work for a bit and landed at the worst place ever. I paid $11.87 for lunch all you can eat with no tip. Spent 25 mins and barely ate 1 plate of food. Left before I got my fortune cookie to get back to work on time and waiter stops me, yelling you have to tip me. I said I already paid full price and I'm in a rush to get back to work. Waiter yells at me and said show me your receipt you haven't tipped me. See you didn't tip! She caused a scene and due to time rush I had to give her a dollar to leave his place. First of all tipping is not a law. I don't have a problem tipping but if you don't deserve it you shouldn't get it. I've worked at multiple jobs that deserves a tip but if you have to yell at me for a tip not earned, then hell no. Please you do not deserve a tip you didn't earn. Felt like I was held against my will to give her a dollar tip. Maybe she saw me an easy target because of my ethnicity or vulnerability cause I was eating alone. The foods is good and the staff was attentive. My one complaint was the female waitress chasing me down asking for a tip! This is very rude and unprofessional. GREAT EXPERIENCE I have now been here twice, and had a great experience both times. It is a buffet , so you don't generally expect high quality food. However this place does have high quality good tasting food. Pros: There is a very large selection of different foods, Asian and american (including a build your own hibachi area) The food is always fresh and refilled There are a lot of employees working at any given time cleaning, refilling, and filling drinks etc. Reasonably priced Cons: always busy not quiet Overall I highly recommend coming here. We've lived near here for years but had never checked it out before. What I thought was a small restaurant buffet was huge inside and like a fantasia of buffets. Even though it was mid afternoon, it was very very busy and there were lots of families with small children. In some ways it reminded me of the state fair. When we checked in to pay, it would have been nice to have some signs or a postcard about what was where, or a person fluent in English who could have helped 'explain' the place. The food we had was excellent - tender prime rib (our next door neighbor table liked all their food too), mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, what looked like spinach souffle, roasted chicken and Asian chicken things (General Tso? Sweet & Sour..), and my husband's favorites: crawfish, mussels, shrimp, coconut shrimp, crab...there were little dessert cakes, choices of ice creams, fried donuts, rolls ... what I wish we would have known about first was that there was a sushi bar in the back half of the restaurant, and a grill (where you select from refrigerated items like steak and veggies) and then the chef cooks things on the grill for you. The staff helpers were young and friendly. They didn't always know what the food was that you asked about but they were nice and got us refills on our ice water. It did feel like a food fantasia with a little state fair mixed in. I wouldn't go if you want a 'quiet, serene dining experience,' but if you're ready to dig in and experiment and have a really nice multicultural experience at the same time (many different languages spoken around us and everybody eating up a storm) you would enjoy this. read more

This is my favorite buffet of all time and it is by far the only buffet I will eat at. however after they reopened the food has not been tasting the same as it did before something is off it might just be that the chef forget or maybe changed but I also had a bad experience with one of the lady's who seems to be the manager or at least the highest authority their. I went it and I ordered 2 boxes to go and I also had eaten their as well after I was done I went out to get the trays filled up with food and while I was doing that I was about to take some shrimp and that lady started to scream at me she said I had payed for the lunch and I can't get that. I was obviously startled because I had no idea and she made it seem like I was stealing. I did appreciate that she was basically trying to make it seem like I did it on purpose and that makes me so upset that I haven't gotten back since because of that manager making me feel so uncomfortable. read more

I was sorta pushed into coming in the door. I wasn't particularly hungry just tired and searching for a cool place to get refreshed. As I walked through the door the first thing I noticed was the sign asking guests to "PLEASE PAY FIRST." THIS better be good. I was far from disappointed, the food was amazing, the hostess and server were very nice. I stopped visiting buffets years ago because of poor quality. Even after having read Yelp reviews on this place was still relatively pleasantly surprised when we dined here. It's definitely one of the better buffets around the twin cities and a lot of that has to do with their selection being different from all the others. Yes they still carry the standard dishes but they also had some pretty unique ones, ones that you definitely don't usually see at other Chinese buffets. The quality of food was pretty good too. They were constantly renewing the dishes whether or not they were running low, just seemed like they were focused and committed to keeping food fresh. Our waitress was really nice and was constantly filling our water cups with a smile. Our hostess though was pretty rude. Seemed like she could care less whether or not we were waiting to get seated or we were just hanging out in the lobby. Once you get past the mean looking hostesses though, then you were golden. Unlike the name of the restaurant suggests, this place is more of an Asian buffet place than true teppanyaki. Don't get me wrong, this place is new and huge. They offer a very large selection of food - from your usual salads, run-of-the-mill Chinese buffet foods, to a "sushi bar" and "teppanyaki station." The reason I put those in quotation marks is because they are not terribly authentic (I'm a food snob, I know). The sushi bar could use labels of what they have offered. The teppanyaki station is like a Mongolian BBQ grill. Also part of the reason I'm not rating it very high is because they undercooked my pork at the teppanyaki station. I was quite excited to see their ads on the freeway cuz I love teppanyaki. But I knew something is not quite right when I found out the price was less than $10 for dinner. That's a great price, but you know the quality of food won't be that great. Indeed, I would say a 4 star rating for the SELECTION of food, but only barely 3 stars for the taste. What a great find! Super buffet with an array of great food and tons of variety. Staff, cooks and wait persons ultra friendly and super accommodating. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean. The buffet has something for everyone...even those picky eaters! Forget about Old Country Buffet and Old World Buffet or any other Buffet in theTC - this is the place to go. It also beats out other buffets by big bucks! The Lunch buffet is only $6.99 and the dinner buffet is $8.99 (I think). Not sure if they change out the dinner menu - we all had lunch there. Atmosphere is very relaxed, there is no need to rush to make sure you get any food - because the servers are constantly monitoring the supplies of food and adding or replacing. Have now been there three times in the past 2 months. This place is hands down the best Buffet/Grill we have found not only locally but across the country! The food is fresh, diverse and the grill offers an excellent option or addition to the buffet. The service is always very friendly and efficient. The decor is exceptional for a buffet and always very clean. I have recommended this place to many friends and they all love it. You wont go wrong eating here.
