It's good, but contact your bank prior for a wire transfer. 1 jar pickles and 1 jar honey was $54.

I had Fish Hook before in San Francisco and got to try this location and the food is amazing!…read more I got the oysters, the ling cod fish plate, and black cod tacos and my favorite is definitely the ling cod plate. The ling cod is one of my favorite fish they have there and the rice and the tomatoes on the plates are delicious!!! I wish the staff here are more friendly and the food can come out a little slow, especially on the weekends. The staff mentioned that we would have to wait for 30-45minutes for the fish and chips so I didn't get it and I wish I could if I didn't have to wait that long. But overall I really enjoyed coming here for fresh fish options and a great place to come with friends!

Ambiance was super chill and inviting. Lots of outdoor, partially covered seating and a handful of…read moreindoor tables inside and by the bar. But the style of the restaurant left much to be desired. More below. The way this place works is: check in, wait to be seated, then once you have your table you can go stand in a separate line to order food and another line to order drinks. This aspect of the restaurant I think could improve it's a little clunky. 3 stars for this aspect of it. Wait on an early Sunday afternoon was 40+ minutes for 6 people to be seated. Luckily there's a cool surf/gear store next door to explore with tons of awesome items. As mentioned above after getting seated, it's another ~5-10 minutes to order drinks at the bar and ~5-10 minutes to stand in line to be able to order food. Then -20 minute wait for the food once ordered. All in all I don't think I was a fan of this set up. Fish and chips were okay/pretty good but nothing I would write home about. Oddly enough I think our table of 6 ordered five orders of fish and chips because we were that excited to try them out for ourselves. We've always wanted to try their S.F. location by the beach but it's always super packed. We also ordered a few Chips and salsa and guacamole. Salsa and guac were super bland, definitely would not recommend the salsa at all to my worst enemy. The beer selection on draft was extensive and bartenders were super friendly. Parking could be A LOT better -- we had to find parking all the way down the busy high speed road. They have their own small parking lot on site but it was packed to the brim. Originally I had this listed as a 4-star review because it truly is a nice layout and location with potential, but after writing this review I think it's more realistically a solid 3.5 star experience. Decided to keep the 4 to be fair because staff is super friendly and the layout and bones of the location is actually really big and nice, but it all just felt a little too clunky to be honest. Side note: kudos to staff who acted swiftly and super professionally to a super scary medical emergency that happened to someone near us at the bar. Paramedics had to be called and it was handled well.

At first, I was surprised to see it in such an unexpected spot, but figured they must be doing well to operate in such a remote location. I asked my husband to look them up, but couldn't find much online at the time and even at this moment, I couldn't find any other information about them so thought I'd leave a review for more exposure. We decided to stop by on our way back for dinner before heading back to the cabins and I'm so glad we did! The truck was still there, and we grabbed a large supreme pizza, which was reasonably priced and surprisingly delicious for a mobile pizza truck! One of the co-owners, Michael, had set up a cozy area with a sectional couch, so you could enjoy your meal with a stunning view of the ocean. We would've stayed to eat, but since it was a bit windy that day, we opted to take it back to the cabins and enjoy it there. I wanted to leave a review to let others know there's a solid pizza spot in the Mount Tamalpais area with an incredible view. What really stood out was that they have an actual pizza oven in the back of the truck feeling like there's no doubt you're getting a quality pizza cooked right there. While they don't have an exact address, the best way to find them is by looking for the parking lot across from the famous Red Rock Spring, where people stop to get spring water. Best of luck to Matter Daddy's Mobile Pizza and Michael and his co-owner. I really do hope this helps flourish their business as my husband and I thought this was a no frill but delicious pizza spot around that area.

There's something for everyone here. I was impressed to see a gluten-free vegetarian samosa in the apps! I have a few gluten-free friends so this would be great for them to come a try! On top of that, Avatar's takes pride in being open to accommodate to customers' dietary requqests as best they can, so the menu isn't extremely fixed. Their food and service are top notch! For my first visit, we were greeted warmly and were able to get a table right away since we went at an off peak dining hour. I'm easy, I just went with Dahl and Basmati. It's my favorite thing even tho it's super basic. The dahl was packed full of flavor, eating it was such a delight. I hope someday they'll create a vegan-friendly dessert or even a vegan Mango Lassi. I can't wait for my next visit when I'm in the area.

Great spot for clean, comforting food and a warm, personal dining experience.

Eating on patio is super lovely on a nice day, counter ordering was fast, and staff friendly. Got both flavors of chowder ($12/bowl) and would recommend the white especially for the nuanced taste- herby, creamy? Couldn't place what was different but wasn't your average chowder! For the cod ($24), fish was very tender and came with a hearty helping of potato wedges.

We were hungry and in a rush to get to our boat rental and didn't even notice the specials. We got the red chowder, white chowder, soft shell bao tacos, fish tacos, pasta con vongole, and Louie salad for a group of 5. We took everything to go and had it on the boat. Everything was great especially the white chowder, fish tacos, and soft shell crab bao tacos, except the pasta con vongole was too salty. After looking at the pictures we decided we have to come back on Saturday. On Saturday the wait was 50 minutes, and the line went all the way around the fence. So many of the specials including the whole fish, which we went back for, got taken off of the list while we were waiting...tragic. If you're going on the weekend beware!! We ate in at the restaurant this time as we didn't have a reservation to get to. The outside was pretty hot and there's some seating inside and also in an adjacent room that nobody seemed to notice. We were still able to get 2 specials: rockfish ceviche and dumplings. The dumplings were so good - their homemade chili sauce is sweet and a mild spicy that builds. Rockfish was a bit lime-y, but a delicacy nonetheless. I would definitely come back on a weekday to enjoy the specials again!

When we entered the restaurant, we knew it would be a fun experience, as the interior decor offers guests a little of everything, as shown in my pictures. The restaurant is small but well-maintained, and it must be very popular because, when we arrived, over 12-15 other guests were seated at various tables. The steady flow of customers never slowed during our visit. Our waitress, a young woman (forgive me for forgetting your name :( ), provided excellent service. She was very friendly, outgoing, and hardworking. She got our order right the first time, THANK YOU!! The entire staff was friendly and worked nonstop in various roles, whether taking food and drink orders, delivering them to guests, cleaning tables, or filling take-out orders. My wife and I ordered the special of the day--chicken fajitas served with black beans and rice--while our daughter chose a bean-and-egg burrito. The food was fantastic! It was flavorful, delicious, and satisfying. The black beans were some of the best I've ever had, as I am a huge fan of beans, period. This was a wonderful dining experience.
