Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings (don't mind the bite I took lol)
    Tiffany A.

(Imagine a delivery 15 mins away) These wings were crunchy, nicely seasoned and still steaming hot w every wing - pretty impressive given it was a delivery order and it retained its crunch. Substantial amount of jalapeño as well (I love spicy food but it got pretty spicy after eating about 5 jalapeños). The Doordash delivery was quick. I'll be bookmarking this restaurant for when I'm in the area :)

    Salty fish chicken fried rice

I just discovered this place and it might be my favorite Chinese spot now. Ordered the salted fish chicken fried rice and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor was amazing and it even came with soup. Highly recommend.

I have walked past this location a few times and finally decided to go in and try it. I order salt pepper wings and if you have read my reviews before you know I love salt pepper wings. I also ordered a side of chicken fried rice. I have to say this place had amazing salt and pepper chickening wings, they were right amount of salty. The pepper did add a nice kick. Over would recommend the wings. The fried rice was good I a lot of chicken in the rice they're not stingy when comes to the chicken. Overall my visit was excellent and the service was great and at the end of my meal I got four slices of fruit that tasted like kiwi and pear missed together not sure what it was but it was super sweet and juicy. Would recommend this place to someone who is looking for good Chinese food and can't wait to go back and try more dishes.

Under cook beef and the meat don't look right. Stay awayyyyy.

The food is not great please don't waste your money here. The beef don't look right and it's under cook. If you need good laxative eat here. Had to put 1 star to post. I wish they had it in the negative

Good food and portions at Sun Kwong. Prices are reasonable at this little hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant

MASSIVE HAIRS IN FOOD AND STORE REFUSED REFUND I ordered pot stickers to go. When I got home, I opened the box to find a MASSIVE clump of hairs (see photo/videos below). It's unbelievable that the folks packing the food didn't notice the massive clump of hairs. But I get it ... mistakes happen. What's worse is I immediately called the restaurant to simply ask for a refund. I offered to share photos/videos but they refused to issue the refund unless I came back to the restaurant with the food, which for obvious reasons had already been placed in the garbage...

I ate here as a kid and have many fond memories. I remember really good Chinese food, everyone in the family was happy with no complaints. I came by to do take out a few days ago and the food is lovely, cooked with care and just good old comfort Chinese food. The portions are HUGE, prices are decent, what else can you ask for? I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, black bean sauce bitter melon (which came with fish, doesnt state that on the menu), tofu & mushroom clay pot and veggie fried rice. Every single dish was edible, not too oily, fresh food. Pick up was a breeze and the lady was very sweet and smiling. Looking forward to coming here more often..

Sun Kwong's staff are super friendly and the food is great. Other reviews weren't kidding when they said large portions! Hard to find in the city nowadays. Loved it. Recommend.

    Honey Walnut Prawns

Great neighborhood place! Used to eat here a lot more often back in the days... Recently came in to get some takeouts as I'm in the hood to visit folks. Food is good. The broccoli beef is not overly salty. The honey walnut prawns hit all the right notes, except I don't eat too sweet nowadays so I felt kind of guilty eating that dish. Definitely warrants a return visit in the near future.

This most recent time my girlfriend was craving ramen but I wasn't so I got creative. I love their black pepper chicken, so I got that and asked for a side of rice. On top of that we got the ribeye skewers and their new snow crab hand roll. The sauce for the black pepper chicken was really really tasty. That sauce over the rice, was so comforting. The ribeye wasn't super tender but tasty. The snow crab hand roll came with so much snow crab, I felt like it's one of the few hand rolls I've had that was filling. If you come for happy hour, they have good deals on ramen. I think like $13ish, which is a great deal. It ends promptly at 5:30, so plan to get there well before 5:30 if you are looking to take advantage. Something to think about it, Theres no sign up list for waiting for tables, and everyone who's waiting just lines up outside and down the block (no waiting inside). While the ramen (especially their Niku ramen) is still a solid choice. Piecing together meal with some appetizers and a side of rice might be my go-to way of ordering here now. Taniku really does do a lot of things well and the food is always tasty.

We started off with the Mekyabetsu (Brussels sprouts), Ba-Ra (pork belly), and Kobe (beef). The Brussels sprouts were my fav starter, and the sauce paired so well with it. The Ba-Ra was pretty good, but nothing amazing, and same for the Kobe, which I found to be a bit bland. We also split the Hokkaido Miso ramen. The broth had a great flavor, and the pork chashu was possibly the best I've ever had(!) as it was soooo tender and flavorful, and not very fatty. I did think the cauliflower left room to be desired, and kinda took away from the ramen overall. We finished our meal off with the matcha Panna cotta - this was a great dessert and wasn't too sweet ;) This place definitely seems to be pretty good at a lot of dishes, but not amazing at any single one. The vibe is great, service was great, and prices are a biiiiti steep but not unreasonable.

Menu is relatively the same as Dumpling Home featuring my faves like the numb and spicy XLB and the sheng jian bao. Both very delicious! The remainder of the dishes we got were also good. I will say the green beans left me wanting a bit more from it. But overall, my party had a nice, fulfilling meal. Dumpling Home will always be my favorite (still prefer it a TINY bit), but because there is less of a crowd, service was amazing! I definitely wouldn't mind coming back considering there the difference in wait time to Dumpling Home.

They have packed in as many tables as they could in here. Yet it didn't feel crowded or like we would bump someone if we breathed. The food. That's what it's all about right? This place delivers. Every thing was as good as the last. They have a pretty extensive menu I wanted to try it all. Sadly I had to settle for Hot and Sour Soup, Wonton soup, Pork Xiao Long Bao 8 Pcs, Chicken Xiao Long Bao 8 Pcs, (8Pcs) Pork Dumpling with Sesame Sauce and Red Chili Oil (6Pcs), Numb & spicy pork Bao, Green Onion Pancake, (Sweet) Red Bean Paste Pockets. We had it family style. The 3 of us shared it all. There was plenty to go around. None of us left hungry. I can't even pick a favorite. Maybe the numb and spicy which wasn't that spicy. It was just so good and flavorful. The soup dumplings were amazing. So much perfect flavor. They held together until the bite. So good. The hot and sour soup was plenty tasty. Not the best I've ever had but certainly among the best. The only thing I will say is that one of my companions can't have seaweed. The wonton soup was amazing but full of seaweed. It wasn't listed on the menu and we have never had seaweed in any other wonton soup so didn't know to ask if it could be left out. That was sad. All she could do was have a tiny spoon of the broth to taste it. The green onion pancake was very good. The red bean paste pockets use the same dough but filled with sweet red bean paste. They were a perfect way to end the meal. Next time I'm in the city I will visit again. Loved it all. It was worth taking the time to visit and eat there.
