Picked this place from a Google search for Chinese near us. So glad we tried. We were asked if we wanted soup & tea & we accepted. The soup is simple but not bad. It had fig (I think) & carrots. Nothing I've had before but I liked it. We ordered the 3 meat chowmein and it easily became our favorite chowmein yet; Its saucy & flavorful. We also ordered the combo egg food young & Peking spareribs. The egg food young order had 4 generously sized egg patties. And the gravy served in a separate bowl was perfectly salted & complimented the egg very well. The Peking spareribs were different than Im used to but they were good! Little breaded pork steaks that were fried and bathed in their vesion of Peking sauce. We loved them! Reasonably priced, IMO. The food came quickly. The lady who took our order was very nice. They seem to have a lot of regulars because despite us being the only ones eating in, they had a steady stream of people picking up food to go. We'll definitely be back to try other items. read more

They were very accommodating to us - tried to help us find parking, provided utensils and straw cups for the kids, offered complimentary soup and fruit, etc. The food was also very good. This is the 32 Chinese restaurant I have had food from. The Chinese food I had delivered to my address was awesome. The Orange chicken was nice and tender and the rice and chow main was to die for. (Imagine a delivery 15 mins away) These wings were crunchy, nicely seasoned and still steaming hot w every wing - pretty impressive given it was a delivery order and it retained its crunch. Substantial amount of jalapeño as well (I love spicy food but it got pretty spicy after eating about 5 jalapeños). The Doordash delivery was quick. I have walked past this location a few times and finally decided to go in and try it. I order salt pepper wings and if you have read my reviews before you know I love salt pepper wings. I also ordered a side of chicken fried rice. I have to say this place had amazing salt and pepper chickening wings, they were right amount of salty. The pepper did add a nice kick. Over would recommend the wings. The fried rice was good I a lot of chicken in the rice they're not stingy when comes to the chicken. Overall my visit was excellent and the service was great and at the end of my meal I got four slices of fruit that tasted like kiwi and pear missed together not sure what it was but it was super sweet and juicy. Would recommend this place to someone who is looking for good Chinese food and can't wait to go back and try more dishes. read more

MASSIVE HAIRS IN FOOD AND STORE REFUSED REFUND I ordered pot stickers to go. When I got home, I opened the box to find a MASSIVE clump of hairs (see photo/videos below). It's unbelievable that the folks packing the food didn't notice the massive clump of hairs. But I get it ... mistakes happen. What's worse is I immediately called the restaurant to simply ask for a refund. I offered to share photos/videos but they refused to issue the refund unless I came back to the restaurant with the food, which for obvious reasons had already been placed in the garbage... read more

I ate here as a kid and have many fond memories. I remember really good Chinese food, everyone in the family was happy with no complaints. I came by to do take out a few days ago and the food is lovely, cooked with care and just good old comfort Chinese food. The portions are HUGE, prices are decent, what else can you ask for? I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, black bean sauce bitter melon (which came with fish, doesnt state that on the menu), tofu & mushroom clay pot and veggie fried rice. Every single dish was edible, not too oily, fresh food. Pick up was a breeze and the lady was very sweet and smiling. Looking forward to coming here more often.. read more

I used to frequent this restaurant for decades under the previous owners when I used to live in SF. Got nostalgic and ordered take out under the new ownership. They combined my noodles and soup together in my takeout container. If you order any of the noodle soups, you need to ask them to separate the noodle and soup in different containers if you aren't planning to eat it immediately. I didn't check until I got home so it was too late. They also forgot to include beef in my soup. The soup tasted fine but I am missing my protein. read more

I had heard many good things from friends about Sun Kwong Restaurant saying they are the old classic chinese restaurant so for a first time on June 14, 2025 - I did a UberEats order for Salt & Peper Pork Chops which I picked up in-person myself. The staff was friendly. The Salt & Pepper Pork Chops however was not even decent as while the Pork Chop did not have any bones, the mean was extremely rough and dried as it was like biting into a piece of rubber and the meat itself seems like it was not fresh meat and suffered from a long term freezer burn as it was completely dry without any juices. I hope this is not a one time experience as I want to recommend the place but cannot at this time for the quality of my one and only purchase. read more

Great neighborhood place! Used to eat here a lot more often back in the days... Recently came in to get some takeouts as I'm in the hood to visit folks. Food is good. The broccoli beef is not overly salty. The honey walnut prawns hit all the right notes, except I don't eat too sweet nowadays so I felt kind of guilty eating that dish. If you're super hungry and think the "Family of Three" meal is an appropriate amount of food for just yourself, take note that the amount of food is not meant for a family of humans but actually a family of Kodiak bears. The menu does not specify this. I am going to have leftovers for at least five days. In no way is this a complaint, however. I'm sure the sweet and sour pork, beef and broccoli, pork fried rice, hot and sour soup, and various appetizers will all taste just as good tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next day and the next day. Hot tip: if you are looking for a great way to finish off your Meal for 3, go across the street to the corner store and pick up a can of pale lager, some whipped cream, and some maraschino cherries and fix yourself up a delicious Schlitz cocktail, the perfect dessert beverage to add to a dynamite meal of Chinese takeout. read more

Solid Chinese restaurant. Big portions, good value. Owner is really nice! My favorite thing here is the Sweet & Sour Chicken. I generally don't like white meat, but this one is good! Ordered from here the other day, really nice staff and super fast! They were out of one dish I really wanted so they made me something similar. Someone else posted about the curry chow mein, I got it and can concur that it wasn't super curry-ish but it was still pretty tasty. I am not a fan of their eggrolls TBH. My boyfriend just moved in across the street so we had to try! The owner was so kind to us. We ordered so much for four of us, but we had to get a little bit of everything. He gave us menus to keep at home and told us if there was something we wanted that wasn't on the menu, he would make it for us. We got egg rolls, potstickers, beef chow fun, chicken fried rice, garlic green beans, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and honey walnut prawns. The green beans were so simple, but so delicious. The potstickers were definitely a little thick, but still yummy. We got all of this for $100 which I think is a steal. This is a wonderful neighborhood spot with amazing service.
