Purchased a vehicle for my son. Bought a 2019 Corolla with only 2,600 miles. When we got it home it did not start. Had to have it towed back the next day. They kept it for 6 days ( we had the windows tinted and they replaced the windowshield that had a blemish), no follow up call to find out why it didn't start after I left numerous messages. They typed the wrong phone number in the system from my sales contract and didn't compare the numbers so they did not get in touch with me and didn't try my second number. After much frustration I went in to pick up the car. The sales manager doesn't understand why I would be upset that the car didn't work or that I didn't receive return calls, in his opinion I got a "smokin deal"! Also, he said they gave me a loaner car and gift card, which he thought I should be really happy about. I pointed out that the loaner car was part of the deal any time we needed Service and the gift card was part of a promotion and had nothing to do with this problem.So his response was a mute point. We had to bring the car in again after it didn't start this week. After 5 days they don't know what is wrong. No fix. I was then notified I was sold extra warranties that were duplicate coverage. I notified the dealership, who was also notified to refund the lienholder by the warranty company. 4 weeks later and no action from the dealership, when I finally spoke to the finance person, he tried tell tell me he handled it, but when I read him the text messages which proved he never followed up, and a refund was not processed, he said he would check for me. He was rude. I finally received the forms that I needed today and signed them. I asked him to send me a confirmation when it is sent to the warranty company. Which I have not received. This is almost $3,000 , not a small amount of money. Bottom line, horrible customer service and I have no confidence that the vehicle I bought is reliable and that the dealership will be trustworthy and take care of it if it continues to break, also if my warranty cancellation paperwork and refund will be processed. This was the 3rd time my wife took her car in and every time there's something. This time we had tires put on , almost $800 and when we got the car the new tires were filthy. When we dropped it off they said they would wash the car and that didn't happen. When we finally h gg oink the manager he seemed arrogant. I took my car, that I bought from Sun Toyota as a used car, for a oil change and rotate tires. I told them the one tire had a slow leak as I had to keep putting air in it. This is the third time I took it in for this, each time they said they fixed it. When I purchased the car I also purchased the extended warranty and a service program. The service program came with several free oil changes and tire rotations. I took the car in for the oil change and tire rotation according to the book I received. When I picked it up I was told they changed the oil rotated the tires and I had a nail in two tires. One of which I have been asking them to fix for the last four visits. PLUS it needed 497.00 worth of other items. I said ok, fix them. The next day I had to put air in the tires again. Two days later I had to put air in the tires again. I took it back to them and they said I had two more nails in the front tires now. It was the back tires they fixed-and the person taking my information said now the problem is the front tires. I said yes it was the back tires but you rotated them so the back tires are on the front. He looked again and said yes I was right. A few days ago he said my tires were ok. Now I need two more tires? I said no thank you I am not buying two new tires just give me the car back. They brought the car around to me and it was a mess inside. ALL the plastics from the seats the floor mats they left. I will NEVER BUY Another car, used or New here because of the sloppy maintence department. read more

I bought my car in December. Car salesman and everyone else BUT the finance department is top notch. The Finance team are crooks and it's where they make their money. Good for them. In finance, everything was good until I purchased the car care plan, premium. As time goes on, for some reason we had to redo the contract, something wasn't right on their end. Apparently when they re-did the contract they changed my premium plan to the basic plan, I should of double checked, that's on me. Some time later I find out when I take my car in for the service I paid 2,000$ (the car care plan) for I can't use because it said it was canceled services. Well where is my 2,000$ back if it was cancelled? Any who, I call Toyota, get in hold with people I need to fix, how hard could it be? Just re-instate my service plan I paid for, the premium, or give me my money back. It has now been since August, they told me in September it was fixed, and the new correct contract with the premium is on its way. 4 weeks later, nothing. Ok, I'll take my car in to Toyota to see if the service dept can look it up on their end (how I found out about all of this). The service dept tells me that now everything has been cancelled, and I have no services, even the basic plan has been cancelled. Now, the finance people I was in contact with won't return my calls or my emails. I like Toyota, my car is great, but I had enough of this kind of service with Dodge. Should of double checked, and it would all be good. But now they can't or won't fix an easy thing. I still have all my old contracts to prove it, but nothing. read more

We called an hour ahead of time to see a specific car. We were told it was there and we said we would be there in about an hour. They said great and to ask for Nicole upon arrival. We get there, had to search for 20 minutes for the vehicle, just to find out they didn't have the keys. This is infuriating because we live an hour away and we told them this information. Will be taking business elsewhere. They should have made sure they had the keys before getting there when they knew we were coming and had a phone number to reach us at. read more

my vehicle was damaged one time in the service center and i was treated like a pion by the extremely aggressive manager. twice while in for service my vehicle came back and smelled like cigarettes, while i am asthmatic and allergic. several times my car was greasy and not washed. BTW. i purchased the vehicle from them also my second time. !!!ZERO STAR REVIEW!!! I can honestly say that after visiting Sun Toyota and experiencing the costumer service. The reviews have either been bought or filtered through and the negative ones deleted. I originally made an appointment with one of the sales managers my family member has dealt with. But, upon arrival was told he was unavailable. So they set me up with a random salesman who "worked closely" with him. I was assured he could help me and I wouldn't have to worry. I went in looking to trade in the car I have to use towards my new purchase or just purchase without. Well, after just 45 minutes (a ridiculous short sales attempt) and only the trade in option explored. I was told nothing could be done for me and was quickly sent on my way, not knowing I was given a load of BS/extremely wrong information. Then 2 weeks later they contact my co-signer and intimidated them into not co-signing by giving false information and releasing personal credit history/information. I don't know why they'd still have access to my information when legally they are required to shred it and aren't allowed to give out ANY of my information if a sale isn't established. I called to talk to the "general manager" and was told I'd get a call back (which never happened). I'll be contacting corporate & the BBB to file an official complaint. I will also send an email to my legal representative to see what can be done about my credit information given OVER THE PHONE. read more

Went shopping for a car, the sales manger "Megan" wouldn't not give me a quote after I told her that I am looking for a car and currently shopping around. After getting some quotes, I went to her to see if she can help again with the price as she promised, she turned me down. I asked her so many times if she can quote me, I would buy her deal but she kept saying I have to visit the dealership. Dealership is 1.3 hours away. She told me she can beat any Toyota dealership price if I send her the prices. After I did, she asked me to go to the dealership to get the price no matter how much it was. Well as expected he was very surprised I visited . Yet still continued to play his childish games and not even try to speak with his superior to get a deal. Which in turn I didn't hesitate to play his bluff and leave. How this dealership got their ratings I have no clue. But I sure would have loved to see a better side of it if it's there. I went to sun toyota to get a car. The experience was not good. Jackie Olsen was the person we dealt with and boy does she not listen at all. It took seven days to make the deal which didn't happen. First they wanted to charge 18.9% interest with a $700. a month payment after we told them what we wanted. Well I didn't take the car and when we were ready to go my son politely said to Jackie can I please have my keys she threw them at my son and hit him in the face with the keys. I was shocked. He called the police and they told us that they would deal with it and we left like the police told us to. Not a nice place to do business. He took time to allow me to test drive several vehicles and make appropriate suggestions. Car salesmen don't have a reputation for being honest but I felt Pat was very honest. I take my car in for service (drove 45 minutes) Peter the service advisor tells me my car is out of warranty and I'd have to pay for my maintenance (oil change tires rotated) I told him I bought a service agreement when I purchased the car. he told me no you did't. I drove all the way home and come to find out I did have a service agreement. I call them back and by just looking at my agreement they say I'm covered. it was just a mistake! this is bull crap. Upon viewing my 1st review the sales manager called begging for me to take it down. He said that he could definitely get a deal done for us as long as I took the review down or changed it to a good review. I did that but they still couldn't pull together a deal that had the numbers we were looking for, which was fine. We called yesterday because they had a car we were interested in. We got the run around with people saying someone would call us and ended up having to call them back THREE times the next day with no progress. Then a Mike called us and was an absolute jerk. He certainly should not be working in any customer service role. Today we receive a call asking us to take down our poor review. Why would we do that? We are posting an honest review or our experience with what is easily the worst Toyota dealership we've ever worked with and they feel it's ok to beg a customer to take down bad reviews for other potential customers to read and make their own decisions by. My mother took in her 2001 Toyota Solara as it had overheated when coming off the highway. It was diagnosed as a thermostat issue, which was taken care of, the labor fee was reasonable for around $250 total. However, I had made a mention that the radiator cap was a little damaged as a piece had broken off. The technician said he'd just throw a new one on (his words), and no price was explained to my mother. When we went to pick up the car, I had noticed that they tried to charge $45 on a radiator cap, which if anyone has worked with cars, is an abnormal price for those stamped metal type caps, as they are usually only $8. While there, I confirmed that the Lakeland Toyota parts department charges $10 for the same part, with an MSRP of $15 (still more than it's worth, but a far cry from $45). When it was explained that Sun Toyota would bring the price down to $18 (and was explained they are not Lakeland Toytota), I told them to put the old cap back on and I'll replace it myself, as while there I confirmed with Autozone that they had it in stock for $8 and would just save my mother the money. They ultimately decided to write the cap off entirely and give it to her free. People, pay close attention to your receipts BEFORE YOU SIGN. They tried to tell me some story about how the prices can be odd, but think about it, they were going to charge her nearly 6x the amount of what the part cost, and had I not noticed it, they would have made out like bandits. To top it off, when I was following my mother home, I noticed that her hood wasn't even closed all the way. They had actually sent my mother home with an unlatched hood. With that, my review is a 3 out of 5, because they did fix the thermostat, no leaks, and the labor price was good, but took off 2 stars for the hood AND the price discrepancy. read more

My experience with Sun Toyota was phenomenal! I had been searching for a car for quite a while! All I saw were cars that were advertised with low prices and then there were all these add on fees at the end making the car ridiculously priced. I ended up finding a car on Truecar and that's how I ended up at Sun Toyota in Holiday. I called Sun Toyota and was transferred to Nicholas Cantu. I told him the car I was interested in on the Truecar site, and he was extremely professional and because of how he worked with me with pricing, I decided to take a trip to Holiday, Sun Toyota I was coming from Tampa. Unfortunately, he was not available when I got there because his shift had ended but he left me in good hands with Jesse Waller.....talk about being impressed! Jesse was amazing he knew so much about the vehicle and because of his expertise and professionalism I knew I was getting all the info I needed and didn't feel pressured at all to buy the vehicle. Actually, he was selling the vehicle and it didn't feel like he was. His knowledge helped my husband and I make the decision on purchasing the vehicle. He took us to test drive the vehicle and we loved it. It was the brand, model, color I wanted. The weird thing is we purchased the car at night which is something I never like to do. We totally appreciate the time Jesse took with us to make sure our final transactions we done. We got there at 7pm and end up being the last ones at the dealer. I was impressed by that alone, he stayed to the bitter end. We ended up with Ben Carrieve to do the financing and we were so pleased with the type of service he gave us. Ben also took the time to explain everything and get the right financing done with our credit union. Overall, I give them 5-star rating as they were awesome in our purchase of a 2017 Honda CRV EX. I was trying to check out there stock when of course there pop up comes up. I completed the form so that I could search the inventory and before you know it I had three different calls coming in from them. Well I told them what I was looking for and they assured me that we would walk away with the vehicle we wanted and they could get us financed better than Carmax. So they picked us up and we sat there for like 5 hours. They went back and forth and finally we laid down $750 and they promised us $320 payments on a 2012 Prius which they had financing for. We left happy and overjoyed. We have what looks like a retail agreement showing who financed us for how many months and our monthly payment. Two weeks later we get the phone call that they didn't secure financing and that we had to bring the vehicle back to get a 2016 Scion. We learned they do what's called spot delivery. You pick preliminary you can take the vehicle and they work on financing but if they can't you promise to bring the vehicle back. Then we call stressed to see what they have accomplished there to busy to work on our case they 39 other people at there desk trying to get cars. ARE YOU SERIOUS? That says to me you don't care about my business that much. What happened to we have loans for every credit situation, no one get's away? At this point you have lost my trust, and my desire to do business with. So I looked around and found a better deal a better price and a guaranteed fiinancing. No surprises in two weeks. read more

!!! WARNING !!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER!! Stay away from this dealer! They don't stand behind their promises! We purchased a 16 Avalon XLE, It developed a very violent vibration. The dealer told me after they looked at it and the tires were the problem. I would have believed it if the vibration issue was always occurring or not this bad. They would not do anything but replace the tires at my cost since they don't replace tires. I was told by the Sales Manager Ben Miles they don't repair vibration issues! Also M.r Ben got aggressive with me over the phone because I guess I don't understand how much the dealer has helped me! What exactly did he help me with?? Buy an overpriced car with a ton of issues?? Used pre-owned cars with their BS 160 pint inspection that according to the sales man was very thorough. They gave me another Avalon to drive while they looked at mine. Came back with, the tires needed to be done because they couldn't find anything else wrong. The loaner Avalon touring was better but not perfect. I thought the best choice is to get out of that one and get into the touring. My reasons for running away from the first car are: Crazy vibration that makes you think the car is going to fall apart and the transmission sounded like it was out of a 2006 Avalon and not a 2016. Finally I traded the old hunker for what I thought was a solid car. A week after I signed the paperwork the sunroof starts making noise. I research and fine out it's a tsb and its a 14hrs job. I notice the trunk had to be slammed to close, the driver door panel rattles when music is on, leather repair left over spray on the center console, the blue tooth on the radio no longer works, the AC fan started making clicking noises and that means the fan is on the way out! I was furious when I went back to the dealer and I saw my old Avalon sitting on the lot waiting for the next victim to come by. Funny the General Sales Manager sold that car to a cousin. I feel like this dealership takes cars in trade, says they are doing all of these inspections and in the end the cars still have issues. 5 months on this BS and I am still driving a car with issues, this is completely pathetic!! I have always valued our credit, but if nothing gets resolved with this car I will gladly deliver it to the dealership and stop paying on it just to get out from under this pile of crap! It's not like it matters since they ran my wife's credit so much her score dropped from an 817 to 760s after the car purchase. We were promised they would not send the credit apps to several places, but they did! I came to Sun Toyota on a referral. My mother gets her Scion serviced here and hasn't had a bad experience yet. I knew my 15-year-old Saturn was nearly on its last legs, so I had been looking for a while. Before my Sun visit, I started with a Hyundai dealer in my area, and had a "predator vs prey" experience. Sun Toyota is vastly different...and I bought a car based on that. My Saturn had 138k miles, so I knew I wouldn't get much for a trade, but I wanted/needed something newer and more reliable. I made an appointment and spent some time with Donald Smith today. And I bought a car. Did he "sell" it to me? Yes. But I had a fun experience the whole time. I went in with a wish list, but I also knew I might have to compromise a little bit. At the Hyundai dealer, the salesman brought me to the 2017s on the lot right away, even though I told him I wasn't looking for a brand-spanking-new model. In fact, he came *right* out of the showroom the minute I stepped on the lot. Not a good feeling - he seemed like a vulture. In fact, he tried to sway my mother into trading in her Scion! When I visited Sun, I made an appointment beforehand. (Maybe I should've done that with Hyundai too, but...live and learn!) In contrast to the Hyundai salesman, Don didn't make me feel vulnerable at all. When I explained my budget and wish list, he took me to the models in my price range. He explained that he wanted me to actually see them, to know what was available. What they had on the lot, would've been a lot like my Saturn - over 100k miles, and needing a lot of TLC. Saturn is a wonderful brand, & my prior car never did me wrong. But it wasn't very cost effective to keep, & I knew I needed something with more pep in it. Luckily, I could be flexible with my pricing, and my "short list" of models. (I'm used to driving Toyotas, since my other half has one too, but I wasn't opposed to trying other cars.) I think that helped too. I went in wanting to buy outright, and avoid payments. That didn't *exactly* happen. I came out with a small payment, but I can afford it. Most important, I have peace of mind. I appreciate that Don was willing to listen, and show me what was available. Also... *Sun Toyota never bashed other dealers - something my local Hyundai was quick to do. *Toyota now has longer warranties, on new and used cars. Local Hyundai didn't offer certified anything. *Don sold me a car, but he took the time to listen to ME first. He didn't just sell me what HE wanted to move. *Don made it a fun experience! I was relaxed and enjoyed myself...and I have a new(er) car to show for it. *Sun didn't pester me after I left the lot. Don called once, to request a rating on a dealership website. (Local Hyundai salesman called me 3x in two days after I visited.) At the end of the day, salesmen have to make sales, but customers have to be happy, too. Both of those things happened today, so that's a win-win. And the most ironic part of the whole visit? I now have a Hyundai. (LOL!) If you visit Sun Toyota and you're looking to buy, ask for Don. Well it made it as far to the general manager. He called me on the 23rd of July, and we had a very cordial conversation about my experience. He assured me that the errors that had happened along the way were that, just errors. We spent 17 minutes on the call, and in the end I walked away confident that they were going to turn this around as he told me in his own words, he would personally be taking care of this. I told him I was willing to let them do just that, and would still be happy to purchase from them if they could do everything he said. Five days later, no call, no e-mails, nada. So I called, almost out of morbid curiosity, and got his voice mail. Asked if there was any update finding me the vehicle, and left him my number. As of today, August the 2nd, nothing. This delaership is the reason they make car commercials mocking how nobody likes to buy a car, and it starts from the top down obviously with many promises, and no delivery of those promises. read more

Worst used car buying experience I've ever had and I'm 67. They told us they had a lot of cars in our price range and wanted to show us 3 choices from their inventory sheet. We stood and sat around for 3 hours while they tried to locate the cars. We ended up seeing 2 cars in 3 hours. They finally located the third car in the service department being repaired. Their sales staff offered us only water while we waited even though they have a full service kitchen with chef on site. You have to purchase sodas or food. We were offered a prepaid debit card worth $50 for shopping their, but they did not deliver on that promise. Before we left and went to another Toyota dealer, I took the mallet to their gong in the show room and I gonged the dealership just like the Gong Show. SCAMMERS!! Certified pre-owned is a joke. Bought a 2012 Volkswagen GTI used and they claimed they put new parts in the car and verified to make sure everything was running perfect and yet 3 weeks later took it to Lokey VW for service to find out it had $7,000 total in repairs needed, the main issue was a internal oil leak which meant I needed new pistons and piston rings.. that's only a quarter of the issues. Sun Toyota refused to take the car back so I was stuck having to spend thousands to fix it. If it wasn't for the warranty (which I spent $2,000 for) that covered half of it I would've had to get another car. On top of this the staff are Aholes and tried to add in fees to get more money out of me the 3 times I went back to service, after that is when i went to Lokey VW and never returned. read more
