First, the "mandatory used car insurance package" is a joke and just another way to get $3K from you. It should be an OPTION. Bought a 2019 Honda Insight that had a urine smell (they finally removed/washed/reinstalled carpeting and admitted the car DID have urine in driver & passenger side after several calls and in person complaints. Two days after I bought the car, i discovered the gas cap door sticks. I've been trying to get that fixed for over 3 months!! I was told everything was fixed (when they washed the carpets) and ready for pickup and then AFTER I pick up the car, I get a text from service rep (who was absent that day) saying the part to fix the door just came in. Huh? I told him it would be awhile before I could get back there (I live 50 min away and started a job an hour in the opposite direction). So about a month later, I make an APPT, bring in the car, wait for TWO HOURS only to be told the part was sent back to Honda!??! No one can tell me why they didn't call me first to see if i still wanted it fixed. It's been almost a month and they STIlLL don't have the part!! This company has poor communication and uses the "I understand your frustrations" as a tactic to calm you down. It's NOT working. read more

Drove out quite a distance from where I live because they had a make and model I wanted and because of their "come test drive and get a gift card" promotion. The salesperson that took us out for a test drive was on his phone the whole time and barely answered our questions. We went inside to fill out a form so that we could get the gift card as promised for doing a test drive, which by the way we never received in the mail after Jason said it would be mailed to us. Once inside he got extremely pushy, more than any sales folks I've interacted with. All of the sudden he was more interested in the customer. It was to a point that I was uncomfortable and decided to buy somewhere else. He had no respect for our time, we said we had to make a dinner reservation he kept dragging out the "gift card paperwork" saying he had an issue printing it and made us late. When we finally said we had to go, he magically got the issue fixed. But no gift card ever arrived. Why offer a promotion and not bother following through? Maybe if we had good service we would've returned. Instead, we received a slew of aggravating and pushy text messages after we left. Like I mentioned before, we decided to buy somewhere else from someone who was much more pleasant to deal with and treated us with respect. One star because the place was clean and offered us water. UPDATE: I received a review response and phone call from the business expressing apologies for the service and is mailing the gift card. They low ball the sticker price and then make up for it with ridiculous unnecessary add on items. Be prepared for them to charge you a sun protection and reconditioning fee. I'm not talking an extra $300, but for me it was more than $3,000 !! What a SCAM!! I told the agent we worked with that I would forgo those services/ packages as to not pay the extra fees and buy the car "as is" with no reconditioning or "life time warranty". I had a really great experience at this dealership. Jason Heard was super patient and very kind the entire time I was there. My boyfriend an I got there pretty late, close to closing, so I felt pretty bad about getting there right before close. I have to say, the way that we were treated was really great considering that we were on top of closing time. They really worked some magic, and I am so happy about my experience. I would definitely recommend this dealership, especially over one I went to before hand where I felt as though my business wasn't going to be good enough. Stopped in yesterday to have tire pressure light checked. Parents have tire warranty. Was going to be a long wait so made appointment for next morning at 9. Evidently making an appointment doesn't put you ahead of the people driving in and so far we have been waiting over an hour. I made appointments the night before I went for the "Express Test Drive" for 2 vehicles they had listed online. Thinking this would save us some time, since my husband and I were going and bringing our 2 kid's. NOPE. Our appointment was for 9, and we didn't even see a sales person until 9:25. Then they couldn't even find the 2 cars we came to test drive. More waiting. Kids (1 year old & 7) are bored and getting antsy. Sales person then says 1 of the cars sold over the weekend (this was Monday morning). What? I made the appointment Sunday night at 10pm. If it was sold, why was it still listed? (2 days later now and it's still on thier website). Ok, how about car #2? THEY COULDN'T find it. It wasn't sold, they just didn't know where it was. Salesperson said it could be in the shop getting work done, out for a test drive, ect. Unbelievable. I made an appointment to drive 1 car that was already sold, and the other one was MIA. They shouldn't even offer appointments to test drive, if someone isn't even going to at least LOCATE the vehicle before hand. They wanted to show me one they had with 40k MORE miles then the one we were looking at (no thanks), or a mini van.. when I was was looking for an SUV. No thanks. We left. An hour of our day completely wasted due to their unorganization. The excuses we got were that they sold "so many" vehicles over the weekend (boo hoo), and that they had such a big inventory it was hard to find anything. Wow. That must be tough. Good News...yesterday my battery died and they got me in right away. Thank you. Other news...I was informed a new battery would be $190 for my Rav4. I was billed half because my battery was 2 years and 5 months old. My prior battery was half off because it was a similar age. Is this expensive for a battery that is only going to last 2.5 years? I was also surprised to see an excessive amount of bright green corrosion on the connectors. I just had my vehicle serviced 8 weeks ago. I was referred to Sun Toyota by a ton of people, my mom leased a Corolla from there a couple years ago, a friend bought a used Tacoma from there and my hair stylist's husband worked there, so I heard a ton of great things about Sun Toyota. I went into Sun Toyota looking for a newer used RAV4 and worked with Ron Cauchi to find the right SUV for me. He let me look at different SUV's in my price range and similar to the RAV4 and let me test drive them, but ultimately I chose a 2012 RAV4. I waited a couple of days because I needed to see if I needed to get a co-signer or put a larger down payment on my car, and came in on a Thursday evening. Ron was not working that day, but came in anyway to help me and go through the process. Everyone that I worked with was really friendly and were willing to work with me and gave me every possible option that I could have with warranty, lease terms, etc. They definitely made it a painless process. After I was all done in the finance department, Ron met me outside and handed me the keys to my 2012 RAV4 with a full tank of gas and I was on my way! I had a horrible experience at this dealership, I've been buying cars for the past 40 years from dealerships and good or bad this was the worst, it began by trying to get information on the vehicle to begin with to giving my information on my 2 trades , twice I gave the information and after 5 days ,once being there in person and never getting a response they send me a quote for a ridiculous trade in value for my 2 cars 4000. Dollars for my 2004 Mini Cooper S and my 2006 Nissan 350z roadster the mini only has 53000 miles on it , but the worst thing was that they offered a included warranty protection package that somehow costs me almost 1900 dollars in the final numbers and if you try to opt out from that the price of the vehicle goes up, I purchased a vehicle last year at another dealership and it was a great experience this place is a nightmare read more

Sure wish I would have read the reviews or spoken with people who have been to Sun Toyota before I purchased (aka got completely taken advantage of) my used Camry. Every day I regret my purchase and have even lost sleep in shame for not doing my research on this place. Their service dept is 200% incapable of doing their job. After taking 35 min to make a service appt They say I'll get a text and call from a service advisor. I receive the text then when I hear nothing from the service advisor I call and find that there are no details in my record of the THREE issues I made the appointment for. Then I find out that the only dealership that can service my car under warranty is Sun Toyota which is 30 miles from my house and 20 miles from my work and they don't give loaners so now I can't even get my car serviced. This place is a nightmare to say the least. So desperate to make money that they lie and cheat their customers. Had the worst experience ever at this dealership. They gave me a quote over the phone and then when we showed up, they quoted us $2000 more for a "sun" package for when the paint chips on THEIR cars. So then we get the price back to what they initially quoted us for and the APR for their financing was way higher than what I was preapproved for from my bank. Then, we see the car and there is stains in the backseat and they "might" be able to get them out. Then, we look at the CARFAX and the paperwork and they gave us ALL the wrong paperwork. It was literally the info for a DIFFERENT car. And they tried to say it was the same info for the same car and give excuses why the mileage is 1200 miles more. And then we call them out for it and suddenly oh yeah it's a mistake? And then Tommy Chills Tsilionis, who lied about his name being Trey, comes over and with the most condescending voice gives us a runaround answer to who owned the vehicle prior. Instead of just telling us. Left feeling completely disrespected. I would pay more just to not go back to this dealership. I was ready to pay for the car on the spot. We loved a RAV4 for another purchase but we will definitely be searching elsewhere. They were dishonest and misleading about EVERYTHING. read more

The salesman who (now fired) "sold" the car to me quoted me one price, took my down payment and told me it was a done deal at price he quoted me, I signed papers and had to have my son come in next day to sign since he was co-signer. Price went up about $100 than I was quoted because finance was still calling banks the day my son and I went in to finish signing papers. Didn't get the floor mats as were included on window sticker (he said they didn't come with vehicle). Had to re-do contract because of a discrepancy of the finance company they had at first so the redone contract the monthly price went up again!!! Plus they added a $599 fee for a SAVY device which I never got nor did I want!! When I went back to get the mats and wasted 2 hours waiting for them the Accessory Manager pulled an attitude because HE had to go get them and was trying to force a tinting package on me because I took up his precious time. The finance person who came out who was the one doing the contracts said to me "what do you need now" and handed me a USED Savy device which is registered to someone else and I cannot access it to use, (which I never wanted in the first place nor was it even on my original contract, nor was I given the option to have the fee for this piece of s**t that I didn't want taken off of my contract. The SUV is OK but is slower than Sh*T when you accelerate, so not thrilled with the vehicle and really feel like I've been given the run-around at this place. Was supposed to also get a $25 gift card for test driving a vehicle, I guess I'll only see that in my dreams because no one seems to know if it was processed, I guess not because I never received an email to validate my mailing address!! I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be aggravated and pay through the ASS for a vehicle. My son had purchased a used car from these crooks and they didn't even clean the car before giving it to him and the wipers on that vehicle were so bad I'm surprised they didn't scratch the windshield!! Totally disappointed with Sun Toyota in Holiday,Fl. On 7 31/19 we traded in our 2017 Rav 4 for a 2019 Rav 4. While speaking to the finance person Robert coleman he advised us we should not have had to pay for a service we recently had done on the 2017 Rav. He told us to bring in the receipt and he would take care of the refund. After numerous phone calls to Robert with no response we went to see the salesman, Gary jerrell who again promised to take care of this. It is now a month later and we still do not have our refund. I arrived on time and a young man put a sign with number on it on my car and told me to wait in the car, my service rep would be with me in a minute. I waited 30 minutes and no one showed up even though I was in plain sight of the service representatives. I took the sign off my car and left after waiting for 30 minutes. My husband and I were in the market for an SUV for several months. Coming from out of state I wasn't too sure how much of a hassle that would be with transferring tags but our salesman, Jim Alex, assured us it wouldn't be a problem and it wasn't! We looked at every pre owned SUV on the lot, even driving to the new car lot to see what had just been traded in. As we were getting ready to leave we spotted "the one"! We arrived at a deal and Jim filled the tank for us! Since we weren't prepared to actually leave with a vehicle that night we were told to take the SUV home and return the next day with payment and the title to our trade. Sitting in the office while waiting for the boss to come up with our number took a little longer than we wanted, but we've had longer waits. Everything went smoothly, they take a lot of the expected pain out of the whole experience and our salesman, Jim Alex, was top notch! An added bonus was there was none of the added dealer fees everyone else charges. Overall it was a truly enjoyable experience and we will consider trading our other vehicle in at this dealership if we bring it down to Florida. read more

"You have to watch them!" My eighty something mom took her 09 Avalon in for service. What an experience. My cynical self says they saw her coming and decided to take advantage of her trust in Toyota. They recommended an air system sanitizing and an induction cleaning on top of replacing the tires they sold her. As best as I can tell neither the induction cleaning and sanitizing recommendations were based on anything actually recommended by Toyota. The tires which were sold to her by the dealership lasted only 22K miles, that is very bad performance. I am actively looking for new tires in the area from a higher quality vendor. My mom's comment sums it up. This dealership which she has trusted is now a place you have to watch. Space reserved below for a wonderfully written and action free apology.
