I saw this place on social and decided to give it a go. It was the hole in the wall type, so I was like heck yeah! I chose this place over Spuds Fish n Chips because they had the combination which gave me a piece of everything. The combination had Halibut, Prawns and Oysters, all about the mixed platter life. Don't expect major decor, it was simple and basic. An elderly man working the counter was just doing his job. So he wasn't thee friendliest but he wasn't rude. But the food can out really fast and fresh! Overall, I wanna try the competition near to get a final verdict. But saying yes to coming back.

Classic cod fish and chips done right! They cook everything to order so it's fresh and hot when you pick it up. For $25 we got a large cod fish and chips (3 pieces of fish) and a large clam chowder. Paired well with a solid tartar sauce.

My sister and I got dinner here last week and the man working is sooo sweet. I ordered a 3 piece cod and my sister ordered 2 and we both were so surprised when we got home and saw that he had added an extra piece each for us. Literal angel. Fish was delicious. Loved the home made tartar and malt vinegar. When we were there he was trying to get us to take some Halloween candy haha. Will have to come back more often when I'm craving fish and chips. He's just the sweetest thing.

Fresh and delicious!! The cod fish and chips and fried shrimp were incredible. Love everything about this place, family run to this day. Staff always friendly. Pro tip: ask for the cocktail sauce for the shrimp.

Plenty of oysters & fries. Piping hot and delicious. My favorite fish and chips place in Seattle.

We heard about Sunfish watching a YouTube video about the best Fish and Chips in Seattle. I have lived in Seattle all my life but never been here. After our first bite we knew this is our go to spot for quick serve seafood. The fish is fresh, lightly hand breaded and perfectly fried as was the prawns and oysters. We also tried the clam chowder which was amazing. We will definitely be back to this little gem on Alki beach!

The bomb diggity! Lets get the one negative out of the way. These greek brothers refuse to upgrade their credit card dial up service, so if you're paying by card, wait for that 26k modem to activate, make the phone call to the bank and after like 2 minutes, your payment will go through. This can be painful because a line can form easily because of this. Why is this the best fish n chips around? Particularly the Cod? (Not a fan of Halibut). Its breaded perfectly, no oil and PIPING HOT!!! and Juicy!!! If you got a sensitive mouth, better wait a minute or two before taking that first bite, massive warnings to ya!!! How can it be so hot, yet so juicy and still tender at same time? What type of voodoo is this? Just remember, order the Cod n Chips, we actually always skip the fries, you also get charged less if you say no fries. We only have time for the good stuff, the Cod, the Prawns, Oysters, Chowder etc. We keep meaning to try the skewers, soon, one day. Additionally, the famously sometimes temperamental brothers that own the place seem to have softened up a bit. I never had a problem with them, but I am sure their temperament in the past could have garnered some bad reviews. I'm so glad they survived Covid and the bridge closure. A true GEM!!! Get the Cod!!!

Service and ambience were ok. Food was mediocre, doesn't even come close to quality of food at Minnesota or Wisconsin fish fry.

Our incredible server Trey soon came over and helped us decide on some drinks, as we were debating between a few. The menu has so many options, it was hard to just choose one! We soon put our appetizer orders in, as well as our entrees. The calamari tasted fresh and crispy, what's not to like? The oysters I was recommended, tasted sooo fresh! The smoked salmon deviled egg was something I've never thought would work, but it tasted amazing. You can never go wrong with fish and chips, which tasted great! Our server was so sweet and was very attentive throughout the whole night. Dessert time came around and Trey recommended this Washington berry pie, we were sold! It came out deliciously warm with some ice cream on top, which was the cherry on top for our night!! Can't say enough great things about this restaurant, great staff, solid menu, we will definitely be back!!

The food is good, but not something that will bring you back over and over again. The service on the other hand is incredibly good. Kind, thoughtful and incredibly authentic. We took my mother - a person who lives with disabilities and requires a mobility scooter. The staff went out of their way to help her feel comfortable and well taken care of. In my book - the staff of Duke's of south Lake Union are a solid 5 stars rating. And, the food is a 3'ish rating. Put together- it's a place that is worth visiting if for nothing else than the amazing staff. Oh, and the view on Lake Union is also really great, especially if you can grab a table near one of the patio heaters.

If not considering the event itself, then this place is just the storefront with their kitchen in the back, and their interior is essentially all the seating inside the Armory itself. They're conveniently sandwiched between The Little Chicken Teriyaki and Big Mike's Sandwich Co., not too far from the doors leading to the restrooms. They serve seafood baskets, fish and chips, poutines and samplers on their menu, and you place your order on a kiosk at the front. Staff were ready to answer questions, and had a lot of good energy when serving orders to me and their other customers. I split with two others in my group the sampler, which consists of two pieces each of fried cod, oyster and shrimp, all on top of a bed of French fries. The tempura batter for all three came apart a little too easily, though it was even more so with the fried cod, as it was hard to use a spoon and fork to scoop up the easily broken pieces. Shrimp and oyster were both really good and not too salty on their own. French fries were also really filling, and were very fresh - they were on the verge of being too salty. Overall portion was relatively big and all three of us got full from splitting this.

You can buy fresh seafood right there while also getting a fresh meal made to order. The clam chowder was one of the better versions I've had in Seattle. It's thick, hearty, and packed with herbs -- more flavorful than most chowders I've tried. A cup was $6.99 and surprisingly filling, with a good balance of clams and potatoes instead of being overly heavy on one or the other. I also got the fried fish sandwich with king salmon for a $2 upcharge, and it was 100% worth it. The salmon had so much flavor, and even though it's fried, the texture stayed light and crispy instead of greasy. Super easy to eat and honestly one of the standout fish sandwiches I've had. Seating is a little limited around the main counter area since most of it is the seafood market/bar setup, but there's additional seating in the back which helps. Definitely one of my new favorite spots to visit when I'm in Seattle, I highly recommend!

When we arrived, just after they opened, we were the third party in the restaurant. The atrium was really cute. It had a glass chandelier, great decor, and a view of Alki Beach. Our waiter brought us some water and we both decided to order the quiche (daily special was spinach, mushroom and goat cheese) along with a cup of clam chowder. Being that the restaurant was kind of empty, it took a while for our food to arrive. Unfortunately, the chowder was tepid at best and quiche was ice cold. I flagged the waiter down and as he took away our plates, he made a comment about the oven not being set correctly, which I thought was a bit odd. To me, it seemed as if our food may have been waiting a while to get picked up. Nevertheless, our food returned shortly thereafter piping hot. The chowder was delicious, definitely one of the tastiest I've had in Seattle. I found the quiche to be lacking in flavor and then noticed that there were no salt or pepper shakers on any of the tables, which I also thought was a bit odd. After we had finished eating, the waiter asked my friend if she wanted a box for her quiche. When he returned with the box, he did not clear our dishes or ask if we were ready for our check. I had to flag him down to ask for it. I noticed they added a $3 service fee to the bill, not quite sure what that was about, as the food was already a bit pricier than other restaurants in the area and there were issues with our food. I guess it's for the beach view? Overall, this was a decent meal, but I just don't get what all the hype is about.
