A cute diner style breakfast place. We rolled in Monday morning as part of a conference group and they were not prepared for as many people as there were from the conference dropping by. Only two people were working-- were working hard but it's difficult when you're understaffed. The food was good but nothing phenomenal and the staff was friendly.

I think you should try the breakfast nachos. the picture above is shown chicken and waffles. It is a good choice also Chicken & Waffles

I love sunny street cafe. This is my first time at the downtown location and it was great! Staff is super friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was really clean and chill. The food is good! I love the pancakes. I had the cinnamon roll pancakes but the banana ones are amazing too! I've had the stuffed biscuits and the hash brown, egg skillet type of vibe. Both were okay. Still, overall I really enjoyed myself and will be back to try more menu items!

The pancakes stole the breakfast show!! The sourdough toast was very tasty, and definitely has the crunch and taste that I was hoping it would have. But like some of the previous reviews the breakfast is could be warmer, it doesn't seem right off the grill hot. The sausage patties were just oh-hum, I was expecting a savory McDonald's tasting sausage patty. Service was on point Deonna was quick with coffee refills. I certainly would be back for the pancakes and coffee.

Cozy place, comfortable seating. A few reasons why I'm leaving 3 stars. For one, the staff is great but understaffed, orders take a bit of time to be served. Second, as good as the food looks, it was a bit on the dryer side when it came to the gravy, eggs were on the cooler side. I will come back but mainly for the friendly staff, and I'll try a different food of choice.

A breakfast lover recommended Sunny's, so I gave it a shot on Christmas Eve. I was immediately greeted and sat in a 2 person booth. My server was quite friendly and told me the nachos had been really popular lately. I'm a chorizo fan, so I deceived to give them a try. Everything was tasty! Loved how thick the chips were and the fresh toppings. I also ordered a cobb salad to go for lunch. read more

I love sunny street cafe. This is my first time at the downtown location and it was great! Staff is super friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was really clean and chill. The food is good! Came through here on a recent drive through Columbus. I think I was here on a weekend and boy is this area dead on Sundays. I think it also has something to do with being close to a stadium. Anyway, I came here during an absolutely freezing day fairly early, and there were really quite a lot of people in here, I was pretty surprised. Perhaps it's a strong number of regulars here. What did I get? Oh right, I got an avocado benedict with fruit. Honestly it was just okay, I didn't think it was anything special even though it was recommended to me. I've been several times to sunny street. Food is ok. The bacon is cooked ahead of time to prepare for the rush which is disappointing. Turns up cold n brittle(should be cooked to order) fresh n hot. Not all cooks wear gloves which is a no no for health concerns. Managers seem oblivious to these details. Waitresses seem decent some are better and pay attention to details. read more

The burger was a frozen patty that tasted terrible and microwaved. There is a stench in this restaurant that smells like you are standing in a sewer, super off-putting! Ate outside with a table that was falling apart and the service was slow. read more

We checked out Sunny Street Cafe while waiting for the gates to open for a Columbus Clippers game. It was busy! Our waitress was so great! I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito with southern style grits and my daughter ordered the kids' dinosaur pancakes and bacon. The chorizo breakfast burrito was amazing! The burrito was filled with egg, chorizo, cheese, onions, peppers, potatoes, and pico de gallo. The flavors slapped! I was not a fan of the southern style grits, but that does not mean that they may not be great for someone else. I am not a big grits fan, but keep trying to get myself into them! I was surprised that a cup of coffee was $3.29. That's a little overpriced for me. Other than that, we will definitely be back over the summer before the Columbus Clippers afternoon games! read more

Food was not nice. Smallest portion of hash browns ever. Maybe four forkfulls - not a joke. I asked if they were running low and was told No. Omelette was pretty deflated. Mine at home are better and I'm a terrible cook. I left the place still hungry which is not cool. Major bummer. read more

My husband and I really enjoyed our breakfast here. We stopped in while visiting Columbus for a quick weekend. Our server was super friendly, welcoming and upbeat. She made some recommendations and we happened to be there when they recently began serving alcoholic beverages. I ordered a mimosa. I ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes and a cold brew via Uber Eats. The pancakes do not disappoint; not only are they ginormous, with rubbings of cinnamon sugar throughout, they come with icing, cinnamon sugar butter, and syrup. All the fixin's. The pancakes are not super sweet which helps contrast and bring balance to the sweetness you can put on top. I feel like half of a pancake might fill me up, which means this same breakfast for a few more days (which makes for a great bang for your buck). Cold brew is nice too, not too overpowering. Smooth. I look forward to coming back and trying more items to get a good feel for their menu. read more

We were looking for a good late breakfast spot and found Sunny Street on Yelp. The pictures made it look like the kind of place we could get some good pancakes. When we walked in we knew we were in the right spot. It's your classic breakfast & lunch spot, and the food hit the spot. We were so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of the food. $10.23 for the country omelet plus $2.89 for a small cup of Diet Coke so definitely not a bargain. The hash browns were greasy and perfectly crispy. The omelet was inexplicably bland despite having sausage and green peppers within and a store flavored white country gravy atop. Despite the nice hash browns and sourdough the omelet was such a bust for the cost that I won't be trying it again. The folks who I interacted with when I picked up my order- a lady w black hair and a man w light blonde hair- were both very personable which was a great note. read more

It's not full service since it is a cafe. And therefore you order at the register and seat yourselves, and they bring your food out to you. So it is also very efficient. My wife and I started dinner at 5:45 and didn't leave until 8:45 and it was a lovely evening. We chatted for hours, sampled some absolutely delicious food, and just generally relaxed. We had a lovely server, but to say it was just a single person would do the staff injustice. I feel like every single employee in the place waited on us. All of the staff were knowledgable and gave off pretty cool, chill vibes. Three hours is a long meal, but the pacing was superb. Courses didn't come out like beats on a metronome. Rather, the pacing was changed to meet the waxing and waning excitement for the next plate of an absolutely enormous amount of food. The appetizers came in at a measured pace, the mains slowed, and then deserts were served rapid fire. Between courses, staff might stop by for a quit chat before moving on to the next pressing matter. Lots of staff offered their thoughts on their favorite dishes or suggestions on how a plate my be best enjoyed. The whole experience lacked any pressure or pretense. There were fine dining touches such as replacement of my wife's napkin after she stepped away for a break, but it felt more like eating at a cool friends house than it did eating in the ballroom of a palace. Do you know what I mean? You aren't going to Agni for opulence. You are going for a cool exciting food adventure that you aren't going to get many places and certainly very few in Columbus. We had the Midwest Tasting Menu. 11 courses? Something like that. It was expensive, but I don't even mind it. We loved the "Health Sodas" that were curated by the bartenders. My wife had a coconut, lime, and guava concoction and I had some else that was sweet and fruity and tart. The first few bites of pani puri with spiced ginger and then the "happy meal" and salad course really set the tone of a kitchen that puts out excellent dishes with balanced flavors. For me, the best bite of the night was the Thai noodle salad. It was just a perfect amount of spicy with lots of textures. Mine was served with tofu since I'm not a seafood lover and it was the best tofu preparation I've ever had. My wife's favorite was the "soup and salad" course which is hard to describe, but I agree that it was delicious. The low point of the evening's food for me was in the seafood course. My wife loved her actual seafood, but my vegetarian replacement was a miss. They served it with a piece of baby eggplant that was nearly raw; crunchy and practically inedible. I will forgive them, but I think that one needs to be rethought. The end of the meal had lots of little fun touches. The bill comes in a giant lego minifigure head. The restaurant provides a souvenir menu that lists all the dishes that were tried. There were some curated, store-bought candies for take away. All-in-all, it was just an excellent experience. Do yourself a favor and try it, but go hungry and maybe don't try to eat every bite of every dish so that you aren't hurting by the end of the night.

Pro tip: later in the day, the offerings from this bakery are half off at Tensuke Market. This place has been voted as one of the best bakeries in the country & we have it in our own backyard. The food was outstanding. The grits were the best I've ever had--creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned. I went with the Meat Lover's breakfast, which was hearty and packed with flavor. My wife and sister both ordered the avocado toast and raved about how fresh and well-balanced it was. Every dish showcased top-tier ingredients and careful preparation. Service was just as impressive. Steve was kind, engaging, and attentive, keeping a great conversation going while taking orders. He made sure everything was perfect without ever feeling intrusive, striking the right balance of professionalism and warmth. Prices leaned toward the higher side, but with fresh, organic ingredients in the city center, it made sense. Sunny Street Cafe is my preferred breakfast spot no matter the location, but this location has to be the cleanest and most consistent of them all. While the menu items aren't the most imaginative, they are always well executed and served quickly. Terrible coffee honestly and they did away with the Irish Cream coffee creamer which was the only saving grace on that front, but the coffee shouldn't be why you come in. Come in for the prompt service and the ever-consistent dishes. Some of the Sunny Street Cafes I have patronized have fallen far short of the expectations the Nationwide location has set for me. read more

Third time in this past Sunday for brunch. Sat on the patio and had another excellent experience. Their breakfast burrito with hashbrowns and jalapenos inside is so damn good, I could probably eat it every meal. Our server was super attentive and kept the coffee and water flowing.
