Wow! Camping nearby we stopped in here for breakfast after reading Yelp reviews. This was a breakfast we may never forget. My wife had an omelet with chorizo and peppers in it and I had the Appalachian sampler. Both were indescribably delicious. What a pleasure it was finding this quaint little diner the other morning. I walked inside to not only a pleasant aroma of delicious food but also an inviting fragrance, imploring me to spend my money of course! The service was great, our waitress charming and professional. I ordered what one might call a "traditional American breakfast." The meal included eggs, bacon, toast, OJ and a coffee. A true down to earth meal! DO NOT COME ON GAME DAY WEEKENDS This restaurant has great food and it hurts to write this review, but we had a terrible experience on a Sunday morning after a clemson game. They make no effort to manage wait times effectively. The money lost from frustrated customers that left before ordering was far outweighed by the disappointing ones who stayed. A successful business like this should take advantage of the opportunity to create more business instead of driving it away. To offer constructive criticism, sunny side cafe should offer a consolidated menu to increase table turnover, utilize basic table forecasting technology such as excel or apps like nowait. I will start with the obvious...The Host should NOT be in the service industry!! He is extremely rude, does not seat people in the order of list and will make you wait when there are several empty tables. Not worth the mediocre glorified deli food that arrives cold with an attitude to your table. The tables are always sticky from not being cleaned and bathrooms are so dirty that I walked away. Me and my husband got togo order from there a few weeks ago and were left extremely unsatisfied. We usually go here for Sunday brunch but this particular visit was enough for us to not return. We ordered a veggie sausage biscuit, a regular sausage biscuit, and French toast meal. Both of us agreed our food tasted funny, and shortly after we both became sick. I loooove SunnySide ! i eat here frequently and I tell anyone who ask about a good breakfast/ lunch place to visit SunnySide. Anytime I have family in town they always ask to go to SunnySide. This is by far my favorite restaurant in Clemson. I go there weekly because I just can't help it. All of the food is absolutely FANTASTIC. I have been going there since they opened (at the old location) and have never had bad service. Even when they are crazy packed the wait is still very reasonable. We decided to try this cafe out on Father's Day. The building itself is quite appealing. The initial wait for brunch was about 30-35 minutes which isn't too bad compared to most places on a holiday. We were seated quickly but waited another maybe 25 minutes to get our food. Overall, I give the food 5 stars. They got all of our orders right and they had several options for everyone. I highly recommend this restaurant but beware of a wait. read more

The restaurant has moved, but the crowded, noisy dining room and slow service are the same. It took 10 minutes after we ordered for our coffee to arrive and 50 minutes for our breakfast. I don't review very often, but I was compelled to after eating breakfast at Sunnyside Cafe this morning. They have one of the most interesting menus I have seen in a long time with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I had the Sweet Fried Grit Patties and I can't get over how good everything on the plate was. My server was very nice and attentive, and even though the place was packed, my food came out of the kitchen quickly. I can't wait to go back and I hope to try everything on the menu. read more
