Sunright Boba Milk Tea with brûlée crème

We stopped by for a quick sweet treat after dinner and the place was packed! We waited about 15min for our drinks. I got the Sunright boba milk tea which has a Ceylon black tea base and it also comes with boba included! I also like adding brûlée crème for extra creaminess, though it makes the drink a little too sweet so I adjust the sugar level to 25%, which is perfection! The boba is absolutely qq! The mango milk tea was also good, I didn't get to see how they made it but it tasted like they used real mango. I saw them using real strawberries for a different drink which I'll try next time! Overall the staff were friendly. We will return for more!

Sunright? SunWRONG? I emailed the website the worker gave us to send an email to since she didn't want us to speak to the manager about our experience there. It's been over a month and no replies and I see the manager on Yelp replying to other people's posts except mine. Not sure why this place treats people so badly. Luckily there are so many better and new boba spots opening up around K-town

Sunright Tea Studio in Koreatown was our first boba stop in LA during our vacation, right after finishing KBBQ nearby. The store is street-facing, and as expected for Koreatown, parking is limited to street parking--no large parking lots in sight. Inside, there are a few small tables and seating areas, but they seem more for waiting rather than for hanging out. There are also some outdoor tables if you prefer to sit outside. Ordering is done through a kiosk, which is super convenient. We visited on a weekday afternoon, and it wasn't busy at all, so we were able to order right away without waiting. We got the roasted oolong tea and jasmine green tea, both at 100% sugar since we knew from trying this franchise in WA that their tea is on the stronger side. One thing I appreciated was the no-ice option, which is perfect because I can't drink cold drinks. The quality and price were decent, and the location was great for a quick boba stop. While nothing particularly stood out about the tea, it was still solid, making it a good option to add to your boba rotation if you're in the area.

liked this place a lot! i got the brown sugar milk tea with the pudding and it was delicious. super sweet so maybe get the 75% or lower if you don't have a big sweet tooth. the employees were super friendly as well and helped us get back into the parking lot behind the store when we got locked out thank you guys!

Pretty easy, quick service location of all the sunrights I've seen. Unfortunately doesn't have a lot of indoor seating, and the seats are stool-like so not super conducive to just hanging out. The ordering kiosks are quick. The layout feels more like to-go counter-service exclusive, rather than a tea place to congregate. It's not very well-lit inside and there were fruit flies, at least that means they're using real fruit! They do not have a bathroom key. My fruit tea tasted correct and came out really quickly though!

Sunright is such a reliable option when you just need a delicious drink. I love the Sunright and this location holds true to being the bright yellow, sunshiney, clean, light and fun aesthetic, they're known for. I only come to this location if I'm next door at Oakobing or near somewhere else on the block. Parking in valet wouldn't be worth a $4 tea alone. And this location seems to be a bit slower than others. As with every location I've been to, you use their kiosk to order which I like. Customize as you see fit and without the rush you might feel with a real human taking an order (fellow social anxiety people may get my vibe *mwah*). Their drinks are always tasty, always refreshing and not overly offensive to my wallet.

Stopped by this Sunright location for a post-dinner drink on a Sunday. For parking, I was able to find some street parking off of Berendo St. Ordering is done on a kiosk and the drink was ready within 10 minutes. There were some seats available to sit and wait for the order. However, it's not a location where you can sit and chat for a while. I decided to try a new drink and got the White Peach Oolong Cheese with honey boba. I got this with less sweetness and regular ice. It was really delicious and I'll probably get this more often!

The worker at this location rushed the entire process of making the drink and was very sloppy. In result, my drink was not made correctly and I tasted powder like particle in my drink as well as feeling something in my mouth that I could not quite conclude what it is. I have attached the object below in which I have found in my drink. This is completely unacceptable.

We only came to Sunright cause Oakobing next door had a long line and the tables were all taken. Sunright was still a cool treat, and we typically like their other locations. Self serve kiosk that asks for tip, eye roll. My boyfriend has a Watermelon Lemonade that was new and potentially seasonal. I get what I frequently get at most of their locations. I got the Strawberry Frostie with agar boba 75% sweetened. So typically less sweet will have less cream foam streak in the strawberry drink. As you can see in my photo attached, it was like ALL FOAM, and barely any of the strawberry. It was gross and awful. They were so busy I couldn't even inform them that my drink was terribly made. Never coming back to this location.

Honestly, a bit disappointed with my Sunright Fruit tea drink. For $8, the oranges and lemons should not have their peel still on. It just made it hard to drink, rather than adding to the flavor. I tasted mostly orange juice. I paid extra for grass jelly, only to barely taste it and then visually see little bits and pieces of it through the cup. Come on, that was probably 1 or less than 1 grass jelly square torn apart. I usually get bigger chunks of grass jelly at other boba shops so this was a real bummer. The service was fine. There were 2 people working and I could see they were doing their best to keep up with the demand. There were 6 other people waiting on their drinks and because there is no seating, everyone was standing around. It's connected to a plaza it seems so the restroom is in the plaza mall itself. I understand it's fairly new, so hopefully they add some seating and furniture eventually to help lift up the ambience. There are too many boba shops nearby to fall short in the ambience category.

The drinks are decent, typical. There's a lot of similar drink places in the area. I just wish it was opened a tad earlier. Maybe 11? 12 noon was a bit late in my opinion. We placed an order online so we can pick up a little after they opened, and when we got there we were told they didn't have boba! I mean, that's the most basic item! They already open late, would be a good business practice to have a least one staff arrive a little before opening to prepare so that items (boba and tea) and freshly brewed, ready and available for when they do open. read more

Open at last! Today, I got the Watermelon Cooler (watermelon freeze green tea) with brown sugar boba. Less of the tea taste, more watermelon. I saw them blend real watermelon chunks, so it tasted very fresh. I'm glad it wasn't straight up fruit syrup or powder. Service is pretty good. The ladies were nice. I'm coming back for the Honkai special drinks. I had those in the Little Tokyo location and the Kafka and Blade drinks are meh. But i was there for the merch lol. Parking is valet, shares the same lot as Oakobing. I think during the day, there may be no valet. Edit 7/22/23: Today, I tried the Kafka drink. It was sooo much better than Little Tokyo's. The staff here is friendlier too, but also, keep in mind that Little Tokyo location is way more hectic. read more

Favorite boba spot in the area. I've door dashed from here and picked up directly several times now. Whether it's milk tea or mango smoothies, their flavors are always well balanced. Not overtly sweet or artificial tasting. I go for half sweet usually and like adding boba to the mango smoothie (it comes with green tea jelly already). The boba consistency is unrivaled in my brief experience living in LA. I love how easy it is to order. This location isn't meant for lounging around, with minimal seating and ktown parking difficulties. read more

This is my favorite boba shop! For the most part, getting the recommended sweetness hasn't failed me yet. Favorite drink is the Roasted Oolong with Honey Boba! Service is quick and the to go bags have a slot separator in the middle so 1 bag can hold 2 drinks without it tipping over. read more

When this place opened up, I wasn't sure what to think. I had then been accustomed to the Milk Tea Bobas OakoBing has right next to it. Unfortunately, however, in early July the Milk Teas were discontinued in place of Milkshakes(which OakoBing still does not have mind you), leaving me to wander in nearly daily to no avail, before leaving heart-in-hand. Yet not all hope was lost. A newer much livelier Boba Shop seemed to be coming into (K-)Town. The cool yellow lighting took me out of my stupor and pulled me right in. The expansive assortment of menu items and the images of the drinks alongside it were a spectacle in and of itself- the cool selection of MilkTeas, FruitTeas, and Frosties appeared to come hand in hand, like the many colors of a rainbow, which I took in with glee reinvigorated as I clutched the treasure at the end of the rainbow, a creamy, ice-blended Mango Frostie. Came here because it was a bit less busy than nearby places late on a Friday. I ordered a Mango Frostie but should have paid more attention -- it comes with some sort of jelly in it already, then I added tapioca. At 100% sweetness this was all too much for me, wasn't able to finish it. It wasn't bad, just a bit overwhelming flavor and too many things mixed inside. Probably my fault for adding boba but wasn't expecting the jelly to come default in a frostie. I wouldn't rule out going back. read more

I came here after lunch with someone, for some boba you know, and I was never a fan of boba in general. I swiped thru the order machine for the customer favorite orders and chose the "Sunny Fruit Tea(I think)" with Honey boba. Surprisingly the honey boba was not that bad. It was just chewy jelly that was sweet and bland at the same time. The store was actually pretty bright and nice when you enter. You see two machines on the left side to order and you can go thru a wide variety of options. (Sorry I didn't take a picture) Anyways the one I ordered was a sweet, citrusy and peachy tea. I don't think I would try boba again unless it was with friends but it definitely changed my mind about boba. -Tony read more

My favorite drink from Sunright is the white peach oolong cheesefoam, it is always perfectly creamy and refreshing. The staff at this Sunright location have been friendly and are fast at making drinks. Parking can be hit or miss but thats Ktown for you but theres usually street parking whenever I go. This location is next door to that super popular Korean shaved ice place so you have your pick on how to cool down, and boy did we need to chill down this past week! read more

THE BEST!!! It was recommended by a friend and it turned out to be one of my favorites now! I would recommend this in comparison to Boba Time. Their drink is not that super sweet and definitely will satisfy your sweet cravings. Their location was great, very friendly, and accommodating though there is not enough parking lot. Finally open!! So excited that my favorite boba chain is here in the neighborhood. Interior was bright and welcoming, and service was quick. There are 2 self-order kiosks for your convenience to browse through the menu. I ordered one of my usual orders here, tbe brulee oat latte with Ceylon tea. The tea quality is amazing as expected and I'm happy that it's consistent and as delicious as other locations I've been. 75% sweetness was perfect for this drink. Overall, the impression is that their default leans more towards milky and sweeter flavor profiles. These drinks were very milk forward and on the much sweeter end than we expected (and we got half sweet for both). Had to go back home and add double shots to both drinks to offset it. If you're looking for more coffee forward drinks, you'll have to ask to adjust it. But personally couldn't taste the coffee beans. For reference: my preferred coffee in Ktown are Alchemist and stagger coffee

The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.

Absolutely one of my favorite boba shops to visit while I'm in the area. I've visited most of their other locations and my current favorite is their white peach drinks. More specifically the white peach oolong milk tea with honey instead of sugar. I grab it at 25% sugar along with honey boba. The honey sweetener definitely brings out the tea flavor in the drink.
