Amazing from the second we walked in we were greeted by the owner! It was a Saturday morning and everybody in the place was happy, the food was coming out quick, he was efficient and gave great service with a smile!!! I got the eggs with hash; eggs were cooked perfectly hash was tasty and the amount of food was more than enough! My boyfriend got the Portuguese which was amazingly delicious and cooked to perfection as well. Definitely a breakfast spot I will be returning to! Unfortunately this was the worst meal I've had in a while which surprised me based on most of the reviews. The atmosphere was nice, lots of sun coming in the big windows. The food was terrible. The toast arrived cold, the potatoes undercooked, the bacon lukewarm and chewy. The flavor of the pancakes was good but the texture wasn't. Very dry and dense. The service also left a lot to be desired. They brought the wrong drinks (coffee instead of tea), then took a long time bringing the right ones, even longer to take our food order, and longer still for it to arrive. They didn't bring the milk for the child with us. They never came back to check on us. When they brought the bill over they saw the uneaten food and asked if we wanted to take it home. I said no. They asked what was wrong and I explained about the food. The server's response was literal silence, then he walked away. No apology, no offer to reduce the bill or make something else. It seems they couldn't care less of we were there or not. Well, now we won't be ever again. read more

The eggs were poached properly and bust as they should when you cut into it. He flavor was fine, but my critique would be on the Hollandaise Sauce. It was pretty grainy, which was disappointing. But when we reached there, as soon as we entered he said he is very busy and he can't even sit us let alone serve. What the hell? Is this how you treat customers? Extra points because the young lady serving was running around by herself and did a great job. I assume the fellow was her dad, running into and out of the kitchen. Had an amazing breakfast here this past weekend. Blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, home fries, cinnamon toast and coffee. The hostess and Ed (the owner/cook), were both delightful and friendly. I told then it was my first time there and they really made me feel at home. The food was delicious and plentiful - fresh blueberries in the pancakes, fresh bananas and strawberries on the side. Don't let appearances sway you! This place could definitely use an update but if you want a great well priced breakfast and can get past the "decor"!, this is definitely worth it! The gentleman mentioned in many of the reviews does it all and does it well! He is most efficient, food arrives quickly and done to perfection! I love a great bacon, egg and cheese on an English and this was superb. English was toasted not grilled! My husband had pancakes with overeasy eggs also done well. A little quirky with the coffee as milk or cream isn't in the table but poured into your cup when served. I'd definitely recommend this breakfast spot. I ordered the fresh squeeze orange juice which was probably one of the best glasses of OJ I have ever had. Our food (pancakes) came out quickly and was nicely arranged with a few pieces of fruit on the side. The blueberry pancakes were really good and too big to finish. I got the Memphis pancakes which I thought would have peanut butter chips but instead had peanuts so I was a little disappointed. We walked in and it was interesting. The place needs some updating, plus new furniture and you could kind of tell the potatoes were premade but were still pretty good. The waitresses were polite but not very engaging. I had to go to the counter to pay the bill. Once all our food was delivered they did not come back and check on us. The ambience was something less than desirable and looks like it was thrown together. The overall atmosphere was very local. We left stinking like a cheap diner. What an amazing hidden gem! My friends and I stopped in for breakfast. The food was amazing and wonderfully priced. Serving sizes we're huge and even came with a surprise slice of watermelon! Each of our plates came with a slice of watermelon, which is really nice after eating all the egg and cheese and grease. We loved the food. What we didn't like was the waiter's behavior. We understand this was a busy Saturday morning, and he was the only waiter serving all the tables.
