I was happily surprised to see that they carried some traditional donuts as well as the frosted themed ones! I found that this shop was related to Simones donuts which is a great business! They even do cookie tins and caramels. A couple of the special edition donuts looked so decadent and flavorful but more like a dessert that I commented. He then brought out for me one that was a brand new item and it sounded perfect- a sugar donut topped with strawberry mascarpone encircling a pandan center and I had to get it. He even let me have my themed matcha donut without the fancy little emblem for $1 less! So nice. Those, with a biscoff donut and a logo pin completed my purchase. The pandan topping was sweet but the mascarpone was reminiscent of a strawberry yogurt and the flavors blended perfectly. The other donuts were huge, fluffy and perfectly textured. I would have liked a stronger biscoff and matcha strawberry flavor in those crumbles but at least they were not sweet! Just delicious. The prices are fairly high but I will definitely stop by occasionally to see what delicious creations they are whipping up and get myself a treat!

The flavor WAS NOT cookies and cream. It was a regular doughnut with chocolate frosting and design on top. I thought there would be filing inside of cookies and cream or the frosting at least, but no. I think these doughnuts are just for the aesthetics. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars was because the apple fritter my husband got was good. I tried a few bites and it was very tasty. You get the taste of apple. And the crunch from the exterior with it being light and fluffy on the inside. I'm disappointed because I've been wanting to try this place out for the longest time and my doughnut did not exceed my expectations.

The donuts were soft and fresh, the toppings were generous, and each flavor actually tasted like what it was supposed to be. The Banana Pudding was creamy without being overly sweet, and the Lemon Poppy had a really nice lemon flavor. I also ordered the Zombie Coffee with banana cream. If you like your coffee STRONG, this is the one! The banana cream added a nice sweetness and flavor without taking away from the coffee. What really impressed me was the selection. We didn't get there until around 2 PM, and they still had a large variety of donuts that looked fresh. A lot of donut shops are pretty picked over by the afternoon, so that was a huge plus. Service was excellent. Everyone was very nice, welcoming, and helpful while we were deciding what to order. One thing to know: there is no restroom available, so keep that in mind if you're planning to sit and enjoy your donuts and coffee. As I entered the parking lot I witnessed a lady hanging out of the window of a car missing a rear bumper, cursing at a minivan that looked like it had recently been involved in a series of hit-and-run crimes. I'm unclear what occurred before I got there, but kept my head down and quickly parked and scurried inside. The entrance had cardboard on the ground laid out like some sort of Oscar the Grouch red carpet. There were two people sitting at the middle two tables with portable shopping carts filled with assorted belongings. The interior matched the rest of neighborhood with random stuff laid out on counter tops, and a general dirty feeling that made me consider whether I wanted to buy food here, but I was already inside. There was a single woman working the counter. She was polite and matter of fact. I had promised my kids donuts, so I ordered my box to go. While she used appropriate tongs to put them in the box, she didn't bother to fully close or seal the box. Just looking to get out of there as quickly as possible, I headed immediately back to my car but was followed by an unknown man shouting at me asking if I could spare a dollar. I quickly fidgeted for my keys and pulled the door closed and locked it behind me. This was at 9am. I cannot imagine this place late at night. Everything feels clean, classy and thoughtfully put together. When you first arrive, seeing the line out the door can be a little intimidating. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

I think that if all races are supporting their business by purchasing every day like i do they should consider hiring someone from the community it would be fair than again i do have the right to express my own opinion. I literally walked from my house to get some donuts from here and when I got there the guy warmed up my Donuts in the microwave. Little did I know when I got home the donuts were hard and the bread was old. Nowhere near fresh! I wanted to walk back to get my money but it's too late and I don't want to take any more chances. The cream cheese was very flavorful and a generous amount spread on. We also ordered a half dozen donuts and every donut had a beautiful presentation and amazing taste. I live local and will be coming here on a weekly basis.

However, Super Donuts just seems to hits different. Super Donuts is a family-owned local donut shop that's been around for what seems forever. In comparison to similar mom and pop shops, or even corporate establishments (Krispy, Dunkin, etc) this place's glazed donuts are my absolute favorite! I've been coming to this place just about all my life and I admire how this hidden gem is so well established within its surrounding community that they often sell out before closing time. I think I've discovered their secret ingredient--a touch of Miracle Whip (and maybe a pinch of MSG, though I can't prove that one). Whatever it is, it makes everything absolutely delicious. In fact, I recently ordered a bacon breakfast burrito with eggs, bacon, cheese, and bell peppers. To my surprise, I detected that hint of Miracle Whip, and wow--that burrito was so good I didn't even need salsa. I love this place!

The donuts were soft and fresh, the toppings were generous, and each flavor actually tasted like what it was supposed to be. The Peach Cobbler was probably my favorite -- warm cobbler flavors with plenty of peach topping. The Banana Pudding was creamy without being overly sweet, and the Lemon Poppy had a really nice lemon flavor. I also ordered the Zombie Coffee with banana cream. If you like your coffee STRONG, this is the one! The banana cream added a nice sweetness and flavor without taking away from the coffee. What really impressed me was the selection. We didn't get there until around 2 PM, and they still had a large variety of donuts that looked fresh. A lot of donut shops are pretty picked over by the afternoon, so that was a huge plus. Service was excellent. Everyone was very nice, welcoming, and helpful while we were deciding what to order. One thing to know: there is no restroom available, so keep that in mind if you're planning to sit and enjoy your donuts and coffee. Great flavors, fresh donuts, strong coffee, friendly service, and plenty to choose from even later in the day. We found this place completely by accident, but we will definitely be back!
