Can't say enough about this place! The atmosphere reminds me of an old school diner with an open concept. Never had any bad service and the food is always good! No matter what you decide to pick. Stopped in to spend some time between two doctor's appointments & to get a bite to eat. Turned out it was the perfect place for getting a late breakfast early lunch. All three of us had omelettes & each was delicious in its own right. I chose the grits while the other two people ordered hash browns. It was a superior choice. Pure Southern delight. The food is normally good, hearty Diner staples with some Greek specialties. And the servings are BIG. If only they could get their Takeaway game together, they would get another star. Unfortunately, today I had to stand around for twenty minutes after my appointed pick up time, no apology. Whatever. Got home and the order looked, literally, thrown together. The Ruben was not cut, the meat was an uneven pile, as was the kraut, and the thousand island dressing looked like it had been squirted from across the kitchen. I hate making this review as we have been going there once a week for 2 years. The service has always been good. Didn't like when they got rid of the real fried potatoes for breakfast and went with deep fried potato cubes. But the big problem we had today was all management. We know Manny, he is awesome, shakes hands,talks to customers, busses tables and helps organize and always has a smile. Unfortunately he only works once every other weekend. Not sure if the other guy is related to Manny or not but he is nothing like Manny, he never greets customers, never helps the waitresses, mainly hangs out at the community table and flirts with the waitresses. The food is usually never hot but i don't realy complain about that, i would prefer it be served hotter. But today, the eggs were just warm, the pancakes and sausages were just plain cold. I ate the eggs and tried to eat the pancakes but i just couldn't eat the cold food and the pancakes weren't even cooked all the way through. I told the waitress i didn't want to pay for this and explained it was cold.She said she would talk to the manager, not Manny, he wasn't there today. She came back and said the manager told her to tell us there would be no refund because i ate the eggs and took a couple bites of the pancakes and a bite on one of the sausages. We asked to speak to the manager, again she comes back and says he would give me a discount. The manager refused to even come talk to us, i saw him cross the room, he looked at me and i motioned him over, he looked away and went to the kitchen, never seen him again. We never complain, several waitresses pointed out we were regulars but apparently he didn't care. We love their canned coffee and usually buy several cans a month, it sells out quick! Won't be returning anytime soon, hopefully when we do go back, they will have better management that cares about their customers. If Manny had been there, i have no doubt this would of been taken care of. read more

Went with a girlfriend for brunch. It was very loud, they were very busy. Hostess was polite but too busy to be very attentive. Our server was good but not friendly nor particularly helpful. We told her this was our first visit. Our order was placed, drinks delivered. We both ordered a patty melt. Our plates were quickly sat in front of us with no remarks. The sandwich was very good. Good quality & quantity of beef. Service was as expected at busy diner. We did have to wave her down for a refill. We decided on pie. Each ordered coconut cream. It was huge. Asked for carry out boxes for remainder of each pie. Would not give the pie a high grade. More fluff than flavor. Would I go again? Yes, if someone wants to go but not as my suggestion. read more

Had the worst experience here today!! Rude waitress actually called my friends and I the B word. We had ordered and my girlfriends raved about the place so we thought we were in for a good time at a great place! Friend ordered sausage and biscuits, couldn't see nor taste any sausage and told waitress, who responded " we don't make just"white gravy", And took her plate and said I'll throw it out!! She did not say, can I get you something else, I'm sorry, or let me check this out in the kitchen ? Just " Let me throw this out!" Very sarcastically! T Then continued with sarcastic remarks every time she came to the table including calling us the B word!! We talked to the owner/mgr and he basically called us out on it and was not apologetic or kind either..., I'm still SMH!! Won't be returning!. This restaurant was recommended by the desk clerk at our hotel. What a great find. The food was exceptional. I had the homemade meatloaf and my friend had the pork chops. They were moist and flavorful. Our server Erica was very attentive. It happened to be a $1 ice cream cone night so I had to try a cone. The prices were very reasonable. Looks like a country cafe but behaviors like a Jersey Diner! 6 servers running around double fisted with coffee pots and plates at 7:30am and two kitchen doors revolving non stop plus 80s greatest hits blaring in the background. I ordered takeout. I ordered a blue burger and an order of fries. I picked up the order and when I went to eat it, I discovered there was no blue cheese on the burger, but I did get the side order of tartar sauce and there was no ketchup with the fries. I ordered my burger, medium rare to discover it was medium well. With that said, since I was visiting from out of town, I had to go back to the restaurant to request the blue cheese dressing and catch up. Other than that, everything was great. The perfect breakfast sandwich. Simple, plentiful and local. If you venture out to Zephyrhills, this is a must stop. They even make Mickey pancakes for the little ones, which was a huge hit From our server to management, everyone was very welcoming; almost like we were eating breakfast at their house. Happened upon this place because it's about halfway between Orlando and Clearwater, and had outdoor dining. Wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. First, the Greek salad has a scoop of potato salad on top, which is a regional thing (allegedly started by chef in Tarpon Springs who brought back idea as way to stretch food during his stint as cook during WW2) and the salad was superb! Second, we arrived--a party of seven, requesting outdoor seating--at noon on the first warm Saturday of spring. Although the place was packed, with people waiting in front for tables, the hostess promised she would reserve the large porch table outside for us. The food was all good, many came with salads, some with crispy fries. The waitress was efficient, and our food arrived promptly--even as packed as they were. And the manager (owner) was busy helping, greeting, bussing tables, to make sure everything ran smoothly. I even enjoyed the framed DeSantis photo which had been punched so the glass was shattered. A little bit to make everyone happy. We will happily drive 90 minutes to meet family at Sunrise Eatery, any day. read more
