This was my first purchase of a vehicle from a dealership, and I went in with knowledge, but also a preconceived notion of what dealerships often come with; haggling, pressure, dishonesty, and otherwise unsavory energy. Sunrise Ford however, removed much of that anxiety and concern from my head. I called in Saturday afternoon, knowing what vehicle I was interested in after seeing it listed online I was connected with Larry, who I later learned was a new salesman to the dealership, despite having many years of experience. Larry was able to provide me with the Carfax for the vehicle, as it was used, additional photos, pricing information, and had the vehicle ready and waiting for me when I arrived later that afternoon. Larry was very kind and upfront with all the information I needed to know and allowed me to peruse the vehicle at my leisure. When I was ready to make my purchase, Larry made things simple and guided me through every step and assured me with confidence and expertise. Above all, Larry was kind he was honest and he was fun to talk to and work with. He stayed on top of everything and communicated perfectly. The only thing I didn't get was a bow on my car, but he still made it happen by borrowing one from the showroom so that I could take my photos which he also took for me. They tried to convince him that 18% interest was normal for a first car. I told them they're crazy and advised my brother to leave that place. When they saw we were leaving they lowered it to 7% which is probably what the bank actually approved. If they started with that 7% we would have bought the car, but because they tried that bullshit, we left immediately. Dodged a bullet there! Don't shop at this dealer unless your life depends on it. I called and scheduled a test drive, came in to see the vehicle, was helped by Jose Vega, agreed on the price and terms and signed within 30 minutes. Our salesperson, Jose V. is very knowledgable about the vehicles on their lot (which is a huge lot by the way) and he did not make us feel rushed or obligated to purchase. Matter of fact, after having dealt with many shady salespeople and dealerships, we came in ready for the worst! Jose picked up on that and asked if there was something wrong, sorry Jose! . He made our purchase very easy and hassle-free. We left that same day with a 2020 Explorer and peace of mind, knowing we made a great deal. When it's time for an upgrade, we will definitely be back! Buying the car went smoothly I would recommend going with Hector, Jose and Al they're the real MVPs but unfortunately the service department sucks ass except April. They decided to take a joy ride in my car and dirtied it and mud all over the driver and passenger side door. Mind you the dealership is paved. Once I complained to them they "washed it" and it came back with swirls and messed up my paint they supposedly fixed it but now I have to get it paint corrected and actually get it ceramic coated. I wanted to get a used mach E before the EV rebate expired and had been looking in the bay area for a month or 2 and wasn't finding the exact vehicle I was looking for. I expanded the search and found a 2021 GT at Sunrise Ford that was perfect. I called in and spoke to David who confirmed with his manager that they'd work on me with the price to make sure it qualified for the rebate. David took extra pictures, answered all my extra weird questions since I was coming in from so far away. I called the night before I flew in and Nienie was able to confirm it was still there and that she'd be there in the morning. I was a little nervous flying so far, sight unseen, and planning to drive it on a long trip back. I arrived before they opened and Nienie showed up early to make sure I got a head start so I could start driving the car back to the bay ASAP. Nienie was great, assured me that the car was there and immediately got the purchasing processes started so it could move along while we took a look at the car. She took me through all the car features, as a car person I was impressed with what she knew, I'd been to about 10 other dealers in the bay hunting down the correct car and she was probably the best informed sales person out of them all. The test drive was smooth and the car looked great just like the pictures. The entire sales process did take longer then I'd like but that's just how dealerships are. It's not a private sale where you just hand them money and walk away with the keys. When it came down to the numbers they stuck to their word and the finance director Jose had all the paperwork with the correct price and also was able to lower my interest rate by a bit. He even got the 4k rebate applied to the total right then which was unexpected. I didn't experience the "classic" dealership issues at Sunrise Ford. I didn't feel pressured, they didn't try to bait and switch me, and Nienie made sure I felt supported and up to date throughout the entire process. No problems with the car, the 450 mile drive home was a breeze. I'm very happy with my purchase and I wouldn't hesitate to do it all again. read more

The absolute worse and hilariously ridiculous dealership. Run the other way! Went to test drive a vehicle. I set it up online before coming so they even had a heads up. But they don't have their stuff together. I arrive and the car won't start lol they claim it's normal since it's been sitting for 2 weeks as their 'lead mechanic" comes to jump the battery- and couldn't find lol! (I showed them where it was). It's a standard location too (under the hood, duh). Later same guy shows up as the finance manager, equally inept at that job. They told me they just got the car but somehow forget that the carfax tells you the truth about all the things they lied about, and they lied about most of it. If I could leave less than one star on this review, I absolutely would. This has got to be the worst experience I've ever had with a car dealership in my life. After inquiring about a vehicle online they proceeded to tell me that their website price at MSRP was "inaccurate". Which actually meant, "we're adding an additional $5,000 on top of the MSRP." Come to find out, since Ford is offering 0% interest on 60 month loans they are increasing the prices of their vehicles to offset what a customer would save on the interest. So I give up after telling them that I'll purchase the vehicle at MSRP if they'll remove the dealer added markup. "I'm sorry, sir, our manager won't allow that." Fast forward two weeks later and I get a telephone call. They ask if I'm interested in the vehicle. I tell them, yes! ONLY if you YOU'RE interested in removing your absolutely ridiculous dealer added markup. Their answer was astounding, "We can ABSOLUTELY DO THAT!" I thought to myself, there's no way they came around, but I'll bite that hook to see where it takes me. I wait two days for a return call and NOTHING. I wouldn't have expected anything less from this wonderful dealership. They decide to follow up with an email. This is absolutely hilarious. The email says they've been trying to reach me but cannot. Please call them to discuss the vehicle purchase. I respond as the sales person DID NOT LEAVE ME THEIR TELEPHONE NUMBER! Hey, Joe(real name changed to protect the innocent) I'd love to call you back but you don't put your telephone number in your emails! Here's my number, please call me. The customer service and experience at this point is so horrendous it's comical. I finally get a call back from Joe who tells me he can sell me a vehicle at MSRP, but only if I ORDER IT FROM THE FACTORY. Well, Joe, you understand that ordering a vehicle and waiting WEEKS for it to be built means I can't take advantage of the 0% finance offer, right? Right, Joe? Joe tells me yes, but I'll be eligible for any offer that's available when my vehicle arrives. Sorry, sir, I'm not a gambler. I'm not going to give you money, have Ford build a vehicle to then pay an unknown interest rate when it is delivered. Be careful--be very careful--with this dealership. On Friday afternoon, I went with my son to this Sunrise dealership in Fontana, looking for a young man who promotes Ford F-150 trucks on TikTok. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to assist us. He was busy, so Peter helped us instead. Everything seemed fine at first, until he ran my credit and told me that other lenders were offering me interest rates of 10% or higher. I bank with Arrowhead Credit Union, and he claimed that they had denied my application; he said he would try to place me with Ford Finance instead to get me the best possible rate. He manipulated the numbers and led me to believe that the interest rate I was getting was around 8%, though the monthly payment still came out a bit high. He also told me that he was lowering the price of the vehicle for me and that I would receive a rebate incentive--basically, he completely brainwashed me. Afterward, he handed me off to the finance manager. I explicitly told this person that I was not interested in purchasing any of the insurance policies or extra products he was pitching--nothing extra at all, other than GAP insurance. Yet, he went ahead and did whatever he pleased with the contract anyway, tacking on about $2,000 to $3,000 worth of accessories. I had to go back the very next day and speak with a supervisor to get those items removed from the contract. The supervisor did remove the extra accessories listed in the contract, but he never lowered the actual price of the vehicle to match the promotional price advertised on Instagram. Furthermore, he never mentioned a word about the incentives; they had led me to believe I would be receiving a cash rebate--they completely manipulated me. When I later tried to go through my own lender, Arrowhead CU, I discovered that they had never even submitted a credit inquiry to my Credit Union in the first place. They are liars. Be extremely careful. Unfortunately, there was nothing more I could do at that point; they sold me the truck at an outrageously inflated price. My Credit Union told me that the total cost was far too high--inflated in every respect--from the manipulated price of the vehicle itself to the accessories, some of which hadn't even been installed on the truck yet. read more

After spending hours at the dealership trying to make a deal we ended up going home because we didn't align on the numbers. The next day Angelo is blowing up my phone trying to agree on a deal. After speaking with him multiple times throughout the day we finally agree on a deal just for him to call me 5 minutes later just to tell me he just sold the car. Why waste so much of time if he was just going to sell the once we made a verbal agreement. I asked him to honor the same deal on another car but claims that deal was only valid on that specific car. Clean title, mods and imperfections like some rock chips and side mirror sun damage the car was bought with from previous dealership. The manager said he talked to bidbus and they said that i have the original intake (which was not pictured or mentioned in my end to any party) he brought out a tech asked some questions if we could take off parts or brought originals which was not mentioned beforehand the car was posted as modified. After the walk through i heard him say he liked the car, came back out said the rock chips show its been in a car accident (did not bring out a paint meter) just from his paint experience he knows i'm lying about it having an accident history. He claimed the bolts look like the hood has been taken off also indicating its been taken off for an accident...when questioned about why he believes its been in a car accident from rock chips and bolts that look to have been unscrewed (8 year old vehicle) that its not just because of previous owner maintenance or having a history of being from a sandy lava rock state Hawai'i before sold to a dealership in socal that i purchased it from. He said he reviewed the history and car fax beforehand & purchased with his offer price being informed...after stating bidbus is not his manager he manages the money hes not interested since he does not feel comfortable & walking away rudely. I was initially going to give Sunrise Ford 2 stars, but I have to acknowledge that they still have some truly great people who care and want to help you the right way. I've purchased a few cars here in the past, but during my most recent visit, the experience started off poorly. The first person who helped me made a lot of promises--telling me everything was possible and coming across as very friendly. Unfortunately, he couldn't deliver on those promises. I was offered a high interest rate, wasn't given a fair value for my trade-in, and when it became clear that I wasn't going to move forward with the deal under those terms, his attitude changed and he became rude. That's when Daniel stepped in. He didn't make empty promises--instead, he said, "Let me see what I can do." He stayed with us until midnight and worked out a deal we were happy with. His professionalism and honesty made all the difference. So if you've had a bad experience here, it might just be that you ended up with the wrong person. I recently bought a 2022 Toyota from the dealership... very nice young salesman, very helpful. We saw the vehicle online... cars.com... came in just to test drive (and purchase) the car. Easy. Already pre-approved by USAA for the loan at 8.5%. This is where the problem started... Naturally, they came at us with a higher rate to start... I told them we were pre-approved at 5.5%, after waiting us out for another 2 hours... back and forth etc, they then agreed to match it, and then we waited for "The Finance Guy." So we're at roughly 4 hours at this point... the good 'ol wear-em-down strategy. Toward the end of this financial root canal they added on this revenue stream they've employed whereby they install dealer add-ons that "can't" be removed... Roughly 2k for LoJack and 'edge guards' (plastic guards on the doors front/back). Here's the best part... I FINALLY got the paperwork from their sketchy third-party credit union and the interest rate wasn't what I had been promised. 5.5% was the promised/matched rate, and I find out today while preparing to refi the thing with my bank that they currently have it at 5.890%. Came in today to purchase one of their 2024 Mach e selects. Found a vehicle that I was interested in but when we began to negotiate the price it became apparent that they were more interested in playing games than coming to a reasonable price for the vehicle.. The sales rep we specifically drove an hour to work with was unhelpful at best as he passed us on to an individual who had only been there for 3 weeks! Talk about making your customer feel unimportant.. When the time came to talk numbers there was no negotiating because they argued the vehicle had already been knocked down from its original msrp by 10,000. However, the primary reasons for this is the EV market depreciates heavily after the first year, and the vehicle was a demo for the dealership.. at least that was what the sales rep helping us told us... but that was NOT what the original salesman indicated to us as he cited it being preowned. All of this in mind, I made them aware that there are vehicles with similar mileage going for a much lower rate and if they were willing to work with the price we would have a deal ON SITE. Their counter? To offer me 10 PERCENT less on my trade in and CHARGE ME for the incurred mileage from THEIR DEALERSHIP showing off the vehicle. The word insulted comes to mind when I think of the overall experience here and anyone who may be thinking of purchasing a vehicle from this dealership needs to come very prepared to be hustled, or consider one of the many other ford dealerships in Southern California. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a dealership. They will sell you a car without transferring proper ownership, leaving you stuck dealing with DMV issues they should have handled. The management is completely unprofessional, and their customer service is nonexistent. Every time you try to get help, they either ignore you, dodge responsibility, or feed you empty excuses. They've proven time and time again that they're incapable of resolving even basic problems and have zero accountability for their mistakes. Instead of fixing their errors, they'll gaslight you, pass the blame, and make it your problem. They knowingly sell bad cars, hide issues, and refuse to take responsibility when things go wrong. It's not just negligence it's dishonest and unethical business practice. Valerie in particular has shown an appalling lack of integrity and honesty, and my experience with her confirmed that this dealership's values are completely rotten from the top down. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid at all cost. This dealer is a bait and switch machine. Drove several hours to check out a used car that they had posted saying "Coming Soon" and made an appointment. 30 min before my scheduled arrival received a call from Leo saying that the vehicle was still being detailed. Arrived at the dealership and had use walk to the very back of their lot called the boneyard, when we approached the vehicle we noticed that the pictures posted online were strategic to avoid the issues with this car. For one the car was not detailed, while I understand used cars have their blemishes this was an exception as pieces of the interior were missing, the paint on the left side was "hit by a sprinkler" according to Leo (yet they couldn't find time to wash it during the 3 hours of which I made contact). Car drove fine so we went inside to talk numbers. Leo mentioned all these additional addons that could be included on the car including vin etching, door guards and dash cam (which were not installed on the car when we test drove it) all of which we told him we were not interested and I insisted on asking for the out the door price. He kept talking in circles and the deal wasn't going anywhere, he then said he had to step away to where he gave the hand off to his manager Hector. Hector had better customer service skills than Leo however when Hector came in with the out the door cash price he stated a higher value and mentioned all the add on crap above was already installed on the vehicle. Crazy how all of a sudden it's already installed on the vehicle yet the car was still not washed. Asked for my keys and got the heck out of dodge. Then I would have probably walked away and not bought a new transit passenger Van for our family. Dustin Williams and his father Bobby were incredible turns out I had dealt with Bobby before on two trucks I had bought there years ago. His son Dustin was new to the business. He is going places. They treated myself and my wife exceptionally well. They should be an example for all in the sales world. They showed us the van. Got our old car traded in and worked for every discount I could get. Final story: we agreed on one price (me finally caving because I wanted the car) and when I went into sign all of the papers, I was told a different price. The difference being $411.25. I purchased a 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E from Sunrise Ford in Fontana on September 29, 2025. As part of Ford's advertised Ford Promise, the dealership and Ford both confirmed that a Level 2 Euporium home EV charger would be supplied and installed. Nearly three weeks later, I still have no charger, no tracking number, and no written confirmation. I've contacted Ford Corporate and Q-Merit (the installation partner) -- both confirmed that Sunrise Ford was responsible for supplying the charger. Instead, I only received a Level 1 charger that charges at about 4 miles per hour, forcing me to waste hours and spend money at Tesla Superchargers, Electrify America, and other public EV stations. I've already sent a formal legal demand letter to Sunrise Ford and Ford Corporate citing the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1750 et seq.), the Unfair Competition Law (Bus. & Prof. Code § 17200), and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. § 2301 et seq.) for breach of contract and deceptive advertising. I'm simply asking Sunrise Ford to deliver the promised Level 2 Euporium charger or provide $500 in EV charging credits to cover the delay and costs I've already incurred. It's disappointing to have to chase what was guaranteed at purchase -- I would genuinely rather be writing a positive review about excellent Ford service.
