I drove all the way to Fontana from Los Angeles to get a car advertised at one price then when I sat down to negotiate, was told there were all of these add ons for items I wasn't aware of, didn't want or need for a total of more than $3k! Final story: we agreed on one price (me finally caving because I wanted the car) and when I went into sign all of the papers, I was told a different price. The difference being $411.25. They wouldn't budge on $411.25! All said they would only agree to $4k more than what was advertised! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! They were rude, deceitful and uncompromising. read more

I purchased a 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E from Sunrise Ford in Fontana on September 29, 2025. As part of Ford's advertised Ford Promise, the dealership and Ford both confirmed that a Level 2 Euporium home EV charger would be supplied and installed. Nearly three weeks later, I still have no charger, no tracking number, and no written confirmation. I've contacted Ford Corporate and Q-Merit (the installation partner) -- both confirmed that Sunrise Ford was responsible for supplying the charger. Instead, I only received a Level 1 charger that charges at about 4 miles per hour, forcing me to waste hours and spend money at Tesla Superchargers, Electrify America, and other public EV stations. I've already sent a formal legal demand letter to Sunrise Ford and Ford Corporate citing the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1750 et seq.), the Unfair Competition Law (Bus. & Prof. Code § 17200), and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. § 2301 et seq.) for breach of contract and deceptive advertising. I'm simply asking Sunrise Ford to deliver the promised Level 2 Euporium charger or provide $500 in EV charging credits to cover the delay and costs I've already incurred. It's disappointing to have to chase what was guaranteed at purchase -- I would genuinely rather be writing a positive review about excellent Ford service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Be careful--be very careful--with this dealership.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On Friday afternoon, I went with my son to this Sunrise dealership in Fontana, looking for a young man who promotes Ford F-150 trucks on TikTok. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to assist us. He was busy, so Peter helped us instead.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything seemed fine at first, until he ran my credit and told me that other lenders were offering me interest rates of 10% or higher. I bank with Arrowhead Credit Union, and he claimed that they had denied my application; he said he would try to place me with Ford Finance instead to get me the best possible rate. He manipulated the numbers and led me to believe that the interest rate I was getting was around 8%, though the monthly payment still came out a bit high. He also told me that he was lowering the price of the vehicle for me and that I would receive a rebate incentive--basically, he completely brainwashed me. Afterward, he handed me off to the finance manager. I explicitly told this person that I was not interested in purchasing any of the insurance policies or extra products he was pitching--nothing extra at all, other than GAP insurance. Yet, he went ahead and did whatever he pleased with the contract anyway, tacking on about $2,000 to $3,000 worth of accessories. I had to go back the very next day and speak with a supervisor to get those items removed from the contract. The supervisor did remove the extra accessories listed in the contract, but he never lowered the actual price of the vehicle to match the promotional price advertised on Instagram. Furthermore, he never mentioned a word about the incentives; they had led me to believe I would be receiving a cash rebate--they completely manipulated me. When I later tried to go through my own lender, Arrowhead CU, I discovered that they had never even submitted a credit inquiry to my Credit Union in the first place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are liars. Be extremely careful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, there was nothing more I could do at that point; they sold me the truck at an outrageously inflated price. My Credit Union told me that the total cost was far too high--inflated in every respect--from the manipulated price of the vehicle itself to the accessories, some of which hadn't even been installed on the truck yet. read more

I was not happy with this purchase at all. I was told before I come that the out of the door price was $34,000 and not even a penny over. When I got there, Abdul Mevawala gave me the sheet adding up $400. I didnot have a car to go back home so I had to take it. When I brought the car home, I did not see the floor mats in the car . I called Abdul and asked him to look for them, He told me the car comes without floor mats and I told me that have to buy them. This is the first time I experience this kind of sale. I tried sending the General Manager email and He said the car sold as is and $400 is tax and license added to out of the door value. The car was list for 38,800. They charged me tax and license to be out of the door price $43,000 plus $400 added up when I got to the dealership. I recommend no one to come here for car purchases at all. read more

When the salesman, Jose, went and got the paperwork to sign, the price had gone up $3,000!!! We should have left right then. Then they lied about the $4,000 tax credit my son was going to get because it is an electric vehicle. Apparently, the car didn't qualify ! They sold us the car based on the tax credit. The service department at Sunrise Ford has had my partner's car for 4 months. They authorized a rental car from Hertz and stopped paying for it recently... Without his knowledge. Hertz has now reported the car stolen and Sunrise Ford has flat-out refused to intervene and is now threatening to sell my partner's car if he doesn't pick it up by Friday because he went understandably ballistic on the phone with the manager. When we arrived, Daniel wasn't even there for our scheduled appointment, and the truck wasn't on the lot. We later learned it had been transferred to another dealership the day before, meaning Daniel knew--or should have known--it wouldn't be available. I called an inquiry about a car that I came across on a sales event. I was looking for a commuter car since I had just bought a brand new pick up that I didn't wanna put miles on going back-and-forth to work. I called the inquiry about it because the price was really good, 3000 to be exact. Once I submitted an inquiry, the dealership texted me saying that they had it for another price. I told the sales person, Shelby Parker, that at that current time it was advertised for much lower than what she is quoting me so I sent her a screenshot. Within less than a minute, she tells me that the car had all of a sudden been wholesale. We have a back-and-forth which really showed the character of this dealership and how sketchy they can be. it's good business practice that if you're going to advertise something you go ahead and sell it, but when someone brings you proof of what is on their specific website that they are advertising, and they decide to back out all within a matter of minutes, it's actually kind of ridiculous. I went ahead and called while I was texting Shelby, and spoke to another sales person called Reyes. He had advised me that the car was still available. So it sounds like they're just blowing a bunch of smoke. If you're looking for sketchy business practices, go ahead and shop from this place. I called the dealer about a Tesla and told them I would be there in an hour to look at it. I was told the car would be ready. Upon arrival, I asked for the sales person I spoke to on the phone. He was busy so they put us with another salesman who was taking a long time to get the car and then he handed us off to yet another salesman! We waited over 45 minutes after arrival before I finally complained about still not being able to see the car. We were finally told they lost the key! We asked to look at another Tesla that we could barely test drive due to low battery (less than 5 miles left on battery). Even if we wanted to purchase the Tesla, we would not be able to drive off lot because it wasn't charged! They never found key for Tesla we drove an hour to see. I was once a very loyal customer here. I even would stop in just to talk to some of my favorite salesperson. I am definitely sad to say that not only has sunrise ford taken a turn for the worst, but ford as a company has also began to take a turn for the worst. Let me explain. Sunrise Ford : this dealership has earned its reputation as shady. And i'm not talking about the normal things that dealerships do. Such as installing what they want to classify as aftermarket parts on their brand new vehicles and upcharge you. Which they do here is well with their v t p vehicle protection package. Which, by the way, is complete nonsense?And will run you close to a thousand dollars.If not more by now. But they will not negotiate pricing in a way that will..... EVER.. benefit you. You might ask them to negotiate their price, but they will not actually talk real numbers with you. They will constantly only revert back to.What will your monthly payment be. They use very simple and very predictable wording to try to persuade you which I know they all do.Yes. They will slip in things that they didn't brief you on. They have terrible prices. My daughter and I came into test drive a Bronco Sport. She didn't like it -- too basic and uncomfortable. The sales guy (who had only been there 30 days) then suggested a 2025 Mach-E Mustang. Not what we came for, but it looked nice: sporty, black on black, leather interior, and he really sold it based on limited-time rebates and incentives that expired Sept 30. One key selling point was that Ford would install a home charging station -- this was important because this is our first electric vehicle, and more importantly, my daughter is a young college student. I loved the idea of her not sitting at a charging station for 30-60 minutes, paying $17-$30 per charge. She loved the car, so we moved forward. By 6:45 PM, we were told, "It's a done deal -- the car is hers." That's when the nightmare started: Red Flags and Frustrations: * Not once did a manager come over to introduce themselves or congratulate my daughter -- her first vehicle purchase! * The salesman had no answers to my questions. Every response was, "I don't know, let me ask my manager." * We were there until 11:00 PM. I have never in my life spent 5+ hours at a dealership. That alone should've been a red flag. * No one explained how the car worked -- not even the basics. My daughter went outside to figure it out herself, while I was literally on YouTube watching tutorial videos. Again, this is our first electric vehicle -- some sort of walkthrough should be standard. * The car was delivered to us only 48% charged. They didn't even bother plugging it in while we sat there for hours. We had to go pay to charge it ourselves the next day. The Charging Station Debacle: The next morning (Sept 30), I called the salesman to ask for confirmation about the home charger. Surprise: he still didn't know and had to "ask his manager." I waited all day and got zero response. Frustrated, I drove back to the dealership. A different salesman was kind enough to greet me and apologize for the lack of communication. Eventually, our original salesman came out and said: "I apologize, I'm new. I misunderstood what incentives were offered. We applied the credit for the home charger to the vehicle instead." So basically, what Ford would pay to install the charger was instead used as a rebate towards the car. Then finally, a manager named Vince appeared -- the first time any manager spoke to us in this whole process. He apologized and offered a fix: "We'll cut you a check for the cost of installation. Ford takes 1-2 months to send someone out, but I'll give you the contact I use personally so you can get it done sooner. I'll work on the check and call you." Still Waiting... Still No Check: It's now October 8th. Still no check. No call. No update. My daughter went in today to follow up in person. She stood around for 15 minutes before someone finally told her: "The finance guy (Jimmy) told the secretary to mail it -- it went out today." Really? * Why did we have to come in to find this out? * Why didn't anyone call or email to let us know the check was ready or being mailed? * And why was it suddenly mailed, after we asked to pick it up? The lack of communication at Sunrise Ford Fontana is outrageous. No one talks to each other. No one takes accountability. Everything feels like a runaround. It's excuse after excuse. I purchased a car from this dealership about 45 days ago, and unfortunately, the experience has been nothing but disappointing. I was told they were "lowering" the price of the car, but later found out they had actually added on a warranty and additional coverage without explaining it or getting my approval. There was zero transparency. To make matters worse, the tags on the car were already expired when I bought it. I paid a down payment that was supposed to go toward tax, title, and license, but it only covered the expired tags--meaning I now have to pay again for the upcoming year in July. When I called to get help resolving this issue with the DMV, no one responded to my calls or messages. This business operates dishonestly, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. When I got there salesman that approached me told me Micheal was busy and he would help me. salesman was able to open the door with key fob that suddenly according to salesman the key fob doesn't work and the car can't be started. Worst car buying experience ever, in fact worst customer service of any business we have ever dealt with. The sales team, including the general sales manager, are crooks. A deal was made after hours of negotiating. In the finance office, we realized we had been misinformed regarding the warranty on the car we were buying. The sales person ensured that we had full warranty and that the car was sold as a new car. The finance guy, Jimmy B, told us that the car was being sold as a used car and that the warranty started when the dealership acquired the car last July 19. So 22% of the warranty we were promised had already lapsed. Jimmy went to talk to the manager and cane back with the offer of us buying more insurance from them at a cost of an extra $590. We were not willing to spend more money than we had already agreed to. Jimmy then started voiding our transaction without asking us about how we wanted to proceed. We had no time to talk between ourselves. I told him that we were not agreeing with the transaction being canceled. He kept putting away all the paperwork we signed and writing void on the purchase slips. We asked to speak with a manager. Explained our frustration to the manager who stated that there is no way they can compensate us for the 22%change of warranty compared to the deal that was made. We asked to see his manager. Explained the whole situation to Al Ordinez, General Sales Manager. He told us that we had already gotten such a great deal on the car that they had no room left to take anymore money off. Since this was a mistake on their part, I asked him to what he would think would be a fair deal. Surely there must be other options than for us to have to pay an additional $590 or for the deal to be canceled. He said no. We were baffled. Had we been given the chance to talk things over with eachother, we might have just purchased the car even without some of the promised warranty. However, we were never given a chance to do that. When we wouldn't pay for the extended warranty, the deal was broken by the finance person and the general sales manager even put the refund through the credit card machine himself, whilst we were protesting. It seems like when we refused to spend extra money in the finance office, they broke the deal. This was a bait and switch transaction. Upon leaving the facility, another customer told us that the agreed upon sales price for the car he was purchasing also had been switched in the finance office. Today, we received a phone call from Erica at Sunrise Ford asking how our experience had been. We told her that it was disrespectful and horrible. We intend to bring our complaint to the BBB, Yelp, Google and social media. When we were in the finance office we asked to speak to the owner of the dealership. We were told that they dont have his phone number. The General Manager Al Ordonez also told us that the name of the owner is Knight. According to Erica, however, the owner of this dealership is Jamie Lang. We will be contacting him. Shortly after speaking to Erica, the sales manager who we made the deal with called us. He said he wanted to truly apologize for how they had handled things yesterday. He said that the employees involved had to go through training today. I asked how he had trained them, including himself and his boss the general sales manager, he could not tell me. He stated that after a full day thorough review, it all came down to their communication. He said that they should have worked out a deal with us. I asked him what they shoukd have done different, abd he said just worked out the deal. I asked how he shoukd have done that, but he had no answer. He said that his purpose of the call was just to apologize and he hopes that we will soon be willing to visit their store again, and if not now, then maybe in a few years he hopes we will come back in. The situation was laughable. I said you are apologizing and telling me you have been training today to do better. Well here is your chance. You shoukd say you are so sorry and that you want to make things right, abd then make me an offer to make up for the mistreatment and the broken deal. He said he doesn't have anything to offer. I told him that his apology is empty and we do not accept it. He is telling us that he wishes they would have behaved differently yesterday and that a deal should have been made. Yet when I gave him the opportunity to make me a deal and make things right, he refused. So all we received were empty words surely meant to quiet us down so we would not expose the disrespect and dishonesty we had been met with. And here is the kicker, we were told during the negotiation that if we would promise to give them a five star review, we would receive $500 off of the purchase price. I guess we should have seen the huge red flag right there and walked away. My recommendation is to stay far far away from Sunrise Ford in Fontana. read more

This review specifically relates to Deanna and the department that purchases used cars. 8 days ago Sunrise Ford bought my automobile. At the time of purchase, they said they did not have a manager to sign my check and could they send it to me. Since I was local, they said it would only take a couple of days for the check to arrive. So, I agreed, so I would not have to drive back. On Tuesday, I confirmed with Deanna, the sales representative that helped me, that the check was mailed. I texted Deanna Thursday because I did not get the check. No reply. I texted her Friday, cause I still had not received the check. No reply. I texted her Saturday and finally someone from her team called me and told me she was sick but the check was send and I should get it soon. On Monday, Deanna texted me and said she was out with a family emergency (so not sick) and I had to wait till Thursday before the would consider getting me another check. Seems to me, they were just drawing it all out! Today, Wednesday, I found out THEY sent my check to the wrong address, in Arizona, not where I live in California ! I texted Deanna again asking them to reissue the check so I could pick it up today. She texted back a long excuse filled reason while I could not get the check today. I finally called her and all she did was make excuses and talk over me. Then, she hung up on me!
