I was skeptical walking in because of the decor and scary fluorescent lighting but I had called ahead and wanted to give it a shot. The girls were nice but the girl giving me a pedi wasn't paying attention and took the pumice stone and rubbed it so hard on the side she put a gash in my foot. It was horribly bleeding the entire time, stung and is just about the least relaxing thing someone could do to you. They tried to charge me full price and I said I wasn't paying for the pedi. I mean, the blood loss alone, come on! I had to wear bandages for 2 weeks because my shoe rubs there. Super painful. Still raw. Whew. It's not good enough! read more

The Good: Clean, Good Mani-Pedi, Very good prices. The Ugly: They will talk smack about you (in Vietnamese) from here to Saigon. Because they clearly talk about clients amongst themselves in their own native language, it makes one feel very uncomfortable. These guys are good for cheaply priced acrylic nail refills, but WAXING?.. Ohgod NO! They yank, pull, rip, hard! With cheap wax too that shows up next day as a rash. They plop some shiny goo on you as ointment, which shines like oily lube on your face! Yeah didn't realise that till I got home...imagine walking around glen park with shiny eyebrows and upper lip. This is the best (and cleanest) nail shop I've been too by far!! Did I also mention cheap($22 for a mani/pedi)?! They use new buffers, new nail files, and new scrubbers on every client... they sterilize everything before each client as well... Cindy and her employees are great! They remember you by name every time you come back.. I suggest making an appointment as they do get quite busy sometimes..I haven't gotten acrylics or gel nails done here yet, but it looks good on the folks that do get them done while i'm there... I got the deluxe mani/pedi for $37 and honestly, because they did such a good job, I would have prob paid more (so I tipped well)! I absolutely adore Cindy! She totally goes out of her way to make your experience a great one. She takes good care of me and my baby girl. Yep! She even works on my four year old...every two weeks and is happy to do it. Her customer service is wonderful! But, be sure to call ahead. One of my Gel nail was cracking and part of my nail chipped so I was looking all on yelp for a nail salon that does nails, and close to my home. I normally go to San Jose, but with I didn't have time to drive an hour to fix 1 nail. So I found Sunshine Nail. I called to make sure they do Gel refills/fix. When the lady took my apointment i was looking forward to the appointment. When i got there, i was lucky to find a parking space that i could fit. There was a lady in front of me, but i was willing to wait. The lady that did my nail was very nice. She asked all the question especially the color. She fixed my nail and it blended in with my other ones. it was great. She didn't pressure me to have a pedi or a full set refill. she fixed it for a very good price $3. but a full set refill cost $35. Don't know why it cost more to do the whole set. I might come back here if I were in a crunch and needed to re-fill my nails again. read more

I came here to get a manicure on my way home from work before a holiday party. The service was great, the location is perfect (right next to Glen Park BART) and the prices are extremely reasonable. I love coming here to get my eyebrows waxed and my gel manicures done. Cindy is definitely my go to person. She's super sweet and has always done a great job of cleaning my eyebrows and arching them just the way I like it. She also does a really great job with manicures whether I'm getting gel or regular. She does not disappoint. It's also a lot more inexpensive in comparison to other salons. She does however get busy because clients choose to wait for her and her services. If you do come in on a Fri or during the weekends prepare to wait a bit. It's so worth it though! read more

Even though this was my first time at this nail salon and I'm still testing to see how my nails hold up I wanted to write a review due to the outstanding customer service that Cindy provided. She was absolutely the sweetest and accommodating person I have ever met in this line of work. She knows how to run a business that's for sure. I made an appointment for 5:45 PM and she apologized that they were running behind schedule when I arrived. She did a great job on my nails and I can tell she had a ton of regular customers. This nail place rocks! I went based on yelp reviews. Had to get my nails done and need to get to a bbq at 12pm. I was super happy when I called and they were opened at 9am on a Saturday. Got my pedi & mani for $22!!! And the service was great. They took their time and didn't rush me. I waited for like 5 mins, if that, and the ladies kept apologizing for the wait...they were so nice. I added a french mani for only $2 more and it lasted a week, and I work and do dishes. I keep recommending this place to all my friends. For the quality, my coworker kept looking at my french mani through out the week and was like they do a really good job, and price it's unbeatable. Also the experience was great. I have been coming here for years with my mom. We always get manicures and pedicures and honestly they are not the best we have ever gotten, but the place is nearby and we liked the idea of supporting Cindy and her business. She is a single mom raising two young boys. Well, I think I finally am done with her and trying to support her business. She is always in a rush and cuts cuticles so harshly and has made us bleed on various occasions. I don't know why that alone didn't stop us from coming. She tries to pretend it didn't happen and even when you call her out on it she says "it is okay." Well, it's not really okay to cut your customers and make them bleed and then try to play it off hoping no one else has noticed you've yanked their cuticles off... and then stung them with the acetone. Despite this rushed service, I find that they are actually so low. Today they were running so behind that I couldn't even stay to finish my manicure. Currently, a mani&pedi together is $32, and a pedi alone is $23. Well, she charged me $27 for a pedicure and shoddy ass excuse for half a manicure that mostly involved destroying my cuticles with her aggressive carelessness. I didn't even notice when she overcharged me and when I went back in to complain she had the nerve to tell me she had given me a $5 discount! I wish I had not even tipped her, or actually wished I had yanked the tip back away from her. I am never coming back here again. read more

She is a part of my life. Noone can make my hands look so good. I get very dry and I have lots of cuticle skin. She cleans it up so quickly and thoroughly I walk out in no time. I was saddened when she lost her husband, but I was so impressed how she continued strong, managing her customers, business and her kids on her own. She had to cut her schedule to be with kids. I live in the area of Glen Park & I have to say that this nail shop is not on the top of my list because for example I called in an appointment for 12:00 & I had to reschedule & I called for the appointment @ 12:30 & they said they had other customers . I then said ohkay & they said come @ 2:30 . I then got there & had to wait & my manicure was horrible because I had a soak-off for my acrylic & I left with white glue on my hands . Recently I came in for a fill and pedicure, my friend came with me to get a pedicure as well. Other than the friendly environment, I have no more positives to give. The lady who did my pedicure was very rough with the cuticle scraper which was very painful. The massage seemed very short. After putting the lotion on my legs and putting the warm, wet towel over my feet, the lady walked away to tend to another customer who was ready to leave and when she returned she continued to use that same towel which was now very cold. The lady who did my friend's pedicure left her feet feeling very rough the next day and her polish is already coming off. The lady who did my fill kept knicking my skin every time she was filing my nails down. My nails are uneven, I don't like the way they turned out. Half of my nails are not fully painted and the polish isn't even either. When I was told to wash my hands before she applied the polish, she pulled me down to dip my hands into the water you put your feet in during a pedicure. Felt like I was being treated like a child. It was also very cold in there so we felt uncomfortable and this other employee doing another woman's nails kept walking around coughing and sneezing everywhere without covering her mouth. Very disgusting and not sanitary. Wouldn't recommend coming here. read more
