I've been here twice now. I got the brown sugar boba tea the first time and this time I got the creme brûlée boba tea. Definitely would come back again and again for the creme brulee. It is so tasty!' I wish I had a spoon to get all the leftover foam out of the cup. The workers are helpful if you have any questions. You do have to engage-- standing there looking inquisitive won't get their attention. But both times ai had the same guy take my order and he's always helpful and knowledgeable. I asked the servers which teas do they have with caffeine and no carbs. They replied "water" in a condescending way and insisted all drinks have some form of carbs. I would have appreciated them to look into the Nutrition Facts of their products on hand, if they have the calories, carbs, etc. From what I know, plain teas by themselves should have low/negligible carb and just wanted to ensure I didn't have any drinks that had extra calories. This is LA - And a common question asked is how much caffeine or carbs are in the foods and drinks served. I may advise not to go here if you need to know any Nutritional metrics, as they seem unwilling to provide this information, or are dismissive when asking about it. read more

Overall - 9/10 This was a wonderful boba shop. Went to this boba black during their grand opening and it was pleasantly surprised with the speed of the service. All the staff members were nice and the store had ample seating. Drinks - The drink I got was much was the green grape bomb with cheese foam wasn't too sweet and had a good green grape flavor. It was nice that they used real fruit for their fruit drinks. Experience - The tumbler that was given to us was also wonderful and nice!!! I would come back to try some more fruit drinks. Cute spot with lovely boba drinks specializing in fruit teas! Don't come in expecting the milk tea, taro, Thai tea, etc so it's a nice change! I had the passion mango green tea with crystal boba and it was delicious and refreshing! You can adjust the sweetness and ice. My friend loved her coconut strawberry cloud which tasted like a yogurt smoothie. Service was good and quick. Bathroom was clean. My daughter and I have driven by this place multiple times. We were dying to try them out once they opened. We were hoping that they would have coupons or some specials once they finally opened. NOT... Parking is free with validation underneath the building or there's free street parking. Service was very good. They weren't busy on a Sunday, so we were able to take our time and ask a lot of questions. The ambiance is so calming and quiet. Very clean looking. Free wifi, but we had to ask for it. They have an app to join and start earning rewards. There were several choices of drinks to choose from like fresh fruit tea, fresh tea, or their signature drinks. Drinks range from $6 to about $9. You can tell them how much ice and/or sugar you want, Toppings like boba is about a dollar extra. I decided to try out their matcha drink. You can REALLY taste the matcha. Loved my drink. I love that they use fresh fruits in their drinks instead of artificial fruit powders. I also love the dorayaki. They're huge! They're bigger than my palm. They look like two pancakes with some filling in the middle. Dorayaki comes in different flavors. So far I've tried Oreo and tiramisu but three are still some other flavors to try. Sun Tea (est 2026) is a brand new boba tea in Los Feliz. The first ever! They had a grand opening today (02/07/2026) and drinks are 50% off. It is located in a luxury apt bldg. I came on a late afternoon on their opening day and was giving out a free tumbler. Sadly, I didn't get one due to low supply. I perused their compendious menu and all look amazing. I made a quick decision and got a Passion Mango Boom. It was bloody fantastic! Mango was fresh and flavorful. Prices seem expensive but thanks to their massive discount, it is very affordable. New spot in the area! The location was slightly off on maps -- it's actually around the corner past Mendocino Farms. There's a parking lot with about 1.5 hours free parking (the employees weren't completely sure on the exact time, but that's what we were told). The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the interior is clean and spacious with plenty of room to hang out. I also really liked that they offer a wide variety of drink options. As for the drinks, they were just okay overall. We tried the Passion Mango Boom Tea, Kumquat Lemon Tea, Strawberry Boom Tea, and Coconut Mango Cloud. The Coconut Mango Cloud was definitely the best out of the group. The others felt like they were missing something -- maybe the flavor ratios were a bit off. Since it's still a new spot, I'm guessing they're still fine-tuning their recipes. Overall, I'd give it a 3/5 mainly because of the convenient parking, friendly staff, and clean, spacious interior. With around 200 stores in china, a couple of dozens in Canada, and a few in Hawaii I would say suntea is way better than any of the boba time stores. SunTea is located within walking distance of CHLA and has a variety of fruit, matcha, and milk-based drinks. I'm a huge fan of Heytea's coconut mango boom, so, naturally, I tried Suntea's coconut mango cloud, which is a close dupe. I do think that Suntea's drinks run on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend decreasing the sweetness to 50% or lower, depending on your palate. Otherwise, service was very accommodating and quick. This store is terrible and so is the leadership when it comes to customer service. The drinks are just ok. Definitely nothing to write home about. But even then you don't want to drink anything because of their nasty attitudes. No greeting when you walk in the door. No thank you for visiting. You stand at the pos while they laugh and talk in the back. I tried another time to get some info over the phone. The absolute worst experience. Then when you say something about it they laugh in your face like it's ok. The baristas clearly get their nasty behavior from the leaders. Imagine asking for help to escalate an experience to higher management and the manager on duty says go find it on social media. First time trying as wifey and friend wanted some tea. I opted for the seasonal lemon-kumquat fruit tea with peach oolong tea (ty to the worker for giving me that option). Wife and friend got matcha drinks (one banana and the other just regular matcha latte; both with foam). Rating 4/5 only due to the matcha being simple and not too special. If you're going to serve matcha it better be good! Overall the matcha wasn't bad but the banana milk version felt like drinking out of those Korean banana milk cartons with a hint of matcha. My tea was really good 5/5 and the fruit pieces are a nice touch. I will definitely come back and try other drinks. We sat for 40 mins just enjoying the space and it felt nice being there. I really wanted to like SunTea since it's a new addition to the neighborhood and the ambiance is genuinely nice. Unfortunately, the service and product transparency left a lot to be desired. The staff came across as very lackadaisical and disengaged, which took away from the overall experience. I ordered the Venti Fresh Fruit expecting a green tea-based drink, but instead received what was essentially a full fruit cup sitting in sugar water with clear boba added - and no actual tea. There was no clarification on the menu or from staff about what the drink contained, which was frustrating. After two sips, I ended up throwing it out because it simply wasn't what I ordered or expected. I was on a tight schedule and couldn't return to address it, but spending over $10 for what amounted to a sugary fruit cup was disappointing. For the same price, I could easily get two larger cups of fruit from a local street vendor and add my own tea. The shop looks great, but ambiance alone isn't enough. Better product descriptions and more attentive staff would go a long way, especially for customers trying to make more health-conscious choices. read more

My friend describes their brown sugar boba tea as "perfectly sweet, with incredible hints of milky brown sugar", to quote. I, myself and beyond pleased with the my jasmine tea. I don't know if they're having a special right now, but we got two drinks for $13! it's walking distance from where I live, so I wanted to try it. The staff were a bit shy but very welcoming and nice. Our drinks were delicious and refreshing. The passion mango was super sweet (which I love) and the watermelon was a bit more mellow, so you'll just have to try and see which ones are your preference. There's plenty of comfy seating so if you live in the apartments above or around it's a nice place to sit with friends or even work for a while. My family are regulars at the California fish grill, Medicino farms, and Handles ice cream next door, so I'm glad we get to add Sun tea to the list! oh, and bonus, for my dog parents, I was allowed to bring my giant dog inside which was a relief there's no sign saying no dogs allowed nor did the staff look at all bothered by him, and he's a pretty big boy. read more
