I used to live in the Manor and LOVED eating Super Burgers' fat hamburgers. I hadn't had one for a couple years, but got one today. I paid twice as much as I did just a couple years ago, and the hamburger patty was thin, not fat and juicy like it used to be. This a classic burger joint. Nice little place to take your family, the cheeseburgers are delicious. Real American feel. They have ice cream for dessert, my kids love getting their ice cream cones chocolate dipped. (Also so do I) The service is excellent. I still order and get my food from the window they have open during the coronavirus shutdown. I recommend getting the family some super burger on a Friday or Saturday night! On your first few visits you should stick to the combo menus, which will undoubtedly almost always reward the trek which you endured to get here, (it's totally 8 blocks off of 880). Then once you've become accustomed to her face, the super burger will make you fall madly in love with her beauty. She will show you that there is a family fry for $2, for when you need nothing else but your potato fix and she will hold your hand throughout your taste testing of all that her menu has to offer. I love restaurants with simplistic, straight the the point names. Super Burger, can't mistake that for an Ethiopian restaurant. Delicious and cheap burgers. Definitely better than your run of the mill fast food burgers. Juicy and plump ("That's what she said!"), the burgers are a good size and will help you satisfy your burger urge. Hmmm where to go for a big beefy burger? We tried this place out immediately thinking oh they must be a greasy joint. Well we were wrong on so many levels. First being that the burgers are one of the fewest I've eaten that are stacked with fresh ingredients including melted cheese that oozes over the patty. Sesame buns that soak up the flavor and really allow you to taste the meat. I also got curly fries (crunchy and familiar to many curly fries I've had in my time) and zucchini sticks--the sticks were perfectly cooked and NOT GREASY?! Yes and so deliciously good. Oh did I mention the Ranch dressing is somewhat of a mystery but in a good way. They must put crack sprinkles in it cause it's so ridiculously tasty and creamy with a hint of tanginess I cannot figure out. Get extra is all I'm saying. Best burger joint in the area IMO. This is the san leandro gem spot. If you are from san leandro or even familiar with the manor area, then you know of this place. I remember coming here when i was like 7 or 8 back in the early 2000's (Had a cousin who stayed 2 minutes away) and it was pretty damn good then. 11 years later (damn I feel old) STILL just as good. I thought it was always owned by the same Korean staff but I have not seen the previous boss lady in a while. I think it's still Korean-owned but the new owner was a previous employee. My usual now is something called "CHICKEN WING ZING & FRIES". The chicken wings are salty and flavorful and packed with a punch. Get this and your fries well done! Only $3.99 for 5 wings and a whole heap of fries, it's a steal! Get a peach milkshake with that (yes, I'm still all about that malty peach milkshake, it is HEAVEN) and you got yourself the best "cheat meal" of the month. You got Chaney and Ed, two cool cats who work at the joint. They're friendly and have awesome personalities, makes your wait for the food seem like it's part of the "dining experience". Ask for them the next time you go, and say Mendy sent ya...haha. I've always loved this place and recommend their chili cheese fries. Yum! The prices are decent for the food they serve. They are definitely a Manor neighborhood staple, as many others have said before me. You can always find people of all ages frequenting the location. Not exactly serving gourmet burgers, but this isn't exactly a gourmet burger place either. They are really flexible about the milkshakes they make, though. Don't let the outside scare you away. On my way to the Oakland Coliseum, I wanted to grab a quick, cheap bite that wasn't from your typical restaurant chain. Based on Yelp reviews decided to give this place a try. Super Burger is located not too far off the freeway; though to get their you need to drive past a school and a residential area. The outside does look like a old diary queen. Don't expect the most clean looking, most updated interior as well. Beyond that I have to say their burgers was one of the most tasty and fresh I have eaten in a while. Probably better than In-and-out. The neighborhood mom and pop burger, sandwich, rice bowl, ice cream n shake, anything fried spot. After a long day Hubs and I made a quick decision to come here to grab dinner. We were greeted by a friendly lady at the counter. I ordered a chicken sandwich, Hubs ordered a bacon burger and small curly fries (my fav) to share. Our to-go order took around 20 minutes. They were pretty busy with to-go and dine in patrons. I have to say the "small" curly fries were a huge portion thank god since I couldn't stop eating them. They were the best I have had in awhile, hot seasoned and fried to a perfect crunch. The sandwich was a grilled chicken breast with lettuce and tomato on a soft toasted French roll. Nothing exciting a bit plain. I added some mustard to give it more flavor. Next time I will try the teriyaki option. Hubs said the burger was good. The decor is more practical than trendy, but don't let that stop you. I ordered the super burger with fries comb, skipping the soda. The cashier seemed confused that I didn't want the soda that comes with the combo. I suppose I'm the first with this request at this place. The burger has lettuce, pickles, tomato, onions, cheese, and a really great sauce - just enough to put the whole thing together. Not too much to make it soggy. But the fries were what brought this meal over the top. It's rare that places make really good steak fries - I haven't seen any in a long time. The fries were hot, crispy, and numerous. They forgot my bacon on my burger and I had to wait for them to cook it and then add it myself (as I had already taken a bite and that's just weird (to hand it back for them to put it on) I have only tried the burgers here and swear I'm gonna try something new..but never do. I remember passing by this place and thought it would be an inexpensive option for lunch. Wrong, I was. I ended up spending about $6 for a super burger and fries. I expected to spend no more than $5. Anyway, this is a pretty decent place to get burgers, and they're all super cheap. A combo meal here is about as much as you would pay for just the burger at other places. This place has been here since I was a kid. I love it here. Their vanilla milkshakes are thick and delicious. The burgers are juicy, as I always try to savor every bite. What I love the most about Super Burger though, are their HUGE fries. They aren't the skimpy skinny ones you find at fast food restaurants, but are thick slices of potatoes that the owners generously give you. Extremely delicious burgers and reasonable prices. I've passed by Super Burger countless times in the last several years and finally decided to stop by. Burgers are balanced in flavor. A big plus for being able to see the grill just behind the counter. That's one way for them to prove that your food is prepared safely. I could still taste the goodness one hour after throwing away the wrapper. But watch out if you decide to visit on a school day. Super Burger is about equidistant from two nearby schools of the same district. Once the last bell rings, groups of kids will walk over and move in like a plague, filling the seats as if it's their second lunch break. The stuff here is way better than what you'd find at the national chains. Maybe except for the soda. Round burgers without strange goo and fries that are plump and piping hot. This is a great little burger joint that serves a generously sized burger with savory steak fries. The burgers come very quickly and do not take more than 5-10 minutes for almost any order. The staff are expedient to take orders and are accommodating to any requests made on the burgers. The prices are reasonably cheap for a burger, with their Super Burger at around $5. The fish and chips are also enjoyable. The ranch sauce goes in perfect harmony with the fish and chips! The lady who works here was very nice, and even gave us free soft serve ice cream (she is acquainted with my mom). This family owned business has been serving old-fashioned burgers for years! It's been one of those places I grew up with and is a usual spot my friends and I pick whenever we want to grab a good, cheap bite. The old woman who runs the register is always courteous, and the cooks always have a smile on their face. Because they are understaffed, and the restaurant is in a poor location, it tends to get messy inside and out. The restaurant does offer to-go, but you definitely want to bring a book with you while you wait for your food. Don't worry, the wait is definitely worth the warm, delicious food that is coming to you. :) If you're in the Manor and you're looking for grub, this is the place for you!! Got my order and my super burger was a no buenos burger.. The fries were the money maker for my appetite at the time, I was hungry! Root beer float was sad, and not worth the extra $3.50 on top of the combo. After reading the reviews I gotta try the steak fries next time, but for this experience I give a 2star.
