We came here on a whim needing a quick brunch. Never noticed this place before in the CVS & Orchard Supply plaza, but glad we finally came upon it! Love Mexican dishes for brunch! Casual joint where you order at the counter. They have pretty large breakfast burritos for 6.99 with numerous meat choices. We had the chorizo breakfast burrito which didn't have a strong chorizo flavor, but that's what the salsa bar is for! We also had the Huevos Rancheros -- the salsa on the eggs were very good. It doesn't come on top of crispy tortilla which is how I normally like it, they give you a side of warm tortilla instead. Refried beans could've had a bit more flavor. While the tacos and other food here are great, I want to talk to you about their breakfast burritos- What makes a breakfast burrito exceptional? Tortilla? How the eggs are cooked? Cheese ratio? Quality of meats? No matter what you pick, this place has you covered. It is a truly beautiful breakfast burrito from any angle you look at it. I don't normally love beans on my breakfast burrito, but the beans here are so good it would be a huge loss not to have them. The Red salsa here is also very good and perfect for the burrito, so I'd get extra. Come here and live life to it's fullest, it moves fast and sometimes you must stop to eat the burritos. read more

First time trying this place today and its 4 out of 5 stars for me. Will update if anything changes. I'm a picky eater and strict grader. Chilli releno..... super delicious! Cheese was melting in my mouth. Chilli cooked to perfection. Highlight of the meal as it's my favorite. Green enchiladas.... good! B grade. Carne asada tacos .... yummy! Meat had good flavor and tastes better with lime. Ask for extra lime wedges because it only comes with one piece. I knocked off one star for no napkins, no utensils, no salsa. Came into this spot aout a year ago and ordered a burrito I didn't care too much for. I work close by now and was craving a taco, so I thought I would give then another shot. Glad I did. They updated their menus to large TVs displaying the menu items and ot seems they added some items. I ordered the Asada fried and they're pretty bomb. $9 and change, but the serving size is very generous. Ordered them to go and they gave me all the fixings in side containers so the fries don't get soggy. Kudos on that. Not much else to say. Fries, Carne Asada, sour cream, cheese, guacamole and salsa. Food was tasty but as others mentioned you get a small burrito for what you pay for. Medium amount of meat and eggs and no potatoes (see picture). As others mentioned, potatoes are $.95 extra which seems weird given they are so cheap. Usually I eat half and have the rest later, but ate the whole thing! Tried the churro with cream which was yums! Chilaquiles were good and you get a regular portion as in other places. read more

My 2-star is mainly for the lack of safety precautions that I saw today. Every worker I saw was wearing a mask ... BELOW THE NOSE! If I'm not mistaken, masks are to be worn so they cover both the nose and mouth, and their sign out front even shows that a mask is required and has it pictured as over the nose and mouth. So I don't know what seems so difficult in understanding how to properly wear a mask. The pen used to sign the receipt didn't appear to be sanitized between each use. Two people walked in after me, and no new pen or sanitizing of the one pen used. The food itself (I ordered a breakfast burrito - potato and egg) was decent. During these crazy times, and especially as a food establishment, I'd like to see more safety protocols enforced amongst the employees. read more

Have been wanting to try Super Burrito for quite sometime and had just never gotten to it. Today had to drop somethings off at UPS and since they're right next-door to one another, I thought why not give it a try? Ordered two burritos, one was carnitas, the other was chile verde, our usual go to whenever we try out a new place. The burritos were a nice size and they were filled with meat, however both meats, though moist and tender, lacked flavor. The burritos were pretty wet, as if the meat was scooped out of a pot but not drained before being placed in the burritos. That sogginess could probably be remedied by putting them in the oven and drying them out, or even crisping them up, but we were too hungry to bother with that process. The rice was soft, quite moist, and also lacked flavor. However, the salsa verde that they gave us really helped quite a bit to make things tasty. Their breakfast burritos sounds tasty, and given that among the choices are carne asada and chorizo, I expect those burritos wouldn't have a mushy texture. I'll probably go back to try the breakfast burritos at some point since Super Burrito is conveniently located and open early. read more

I should have checked the reviews before coming here! There is no crowd control here. There were 10 peeps in line inside after i ordered food! On top of this, it took forever to get the food wtf! Had to go up to the counter and complain after 20 mins of waiting. Finally got the burritos, went home and there is no salsa and the burrito was loaded w rice and barely steak.... Ordered a breakfast burrito - it was smaller than I expected based on the name of the establishment. My rating is biased as I am used to non-political minimum wage hikes that have devastated the bay area's restaurant industry perhaps permanently. In other parts of the state and if you drive across state lines you would get a large burrito, 20-30-40% cheaper. But back to the burrito details. I almost went back to have it remade because I couldn't taste any potatoes Taters are cheap you buy then 10-20-30-40lb sacks. So they charge you extra to add them. Guess what, found two small pieces of potato eventually. Really? 2-3 stars, I could make a better one at home and thats the problem, I go out to eat something superior to my own cooking. I do admit bias, having eaten in Nevada, Socal - outside of the zealous destruction of the food industry - leading to food having less protein, being smaller, costing 2-3-4x more than areas outside of the wokeness, it seems like none of these "decision makers" saw what happened to Seattle and other places. The burrito could have had more potato, more bacon, more cheese, more eggs. If you don have time to make your own and you really just need to scratch an itch regardless of burrito build - sure go here otherwise ehhhhhhh.... EHHHHH........ haha. Interesting presentation! Two hard shell tacos filled nearly to the top with meat alone AND on the same plate was lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Difficult to apply the toppings because 1) there wasn't much room on the tacos and 2) the plastic fork they provide was kind of flimsy. Regardless, the Chile Colorado and Carne Asada meat were both flavored nicely. I kind of wish they'd had a potato taco option. I also ordered a "small" side of rice and beans. They each came on separate plates and both were way big (and tasted very good). I would have been satisfied with one plate with half rice/half beans. They also have 6-8 of no cost salsa choices: mild, medium, hot, etc. They were very good. Finally, I mentioned to the girl at the front that there were no paper towels in the bathroom dispenser, and they didn't replace them. Stopped in for a breakfast burrito around 10 am and ordered a carne asada & egg burrito. I added potatoes and sour cream for a couple dollars. The cashier's name was Lupe and she was very polite and helpful. I told her I've been looking for a place that serves good breakfast burritos and it was my first time there. She also served me tortilla chips and salsa as I waited. The restaurant was fairly empty at the time with a couple of people stopping in, ordering, and leaving. My food came really fast and I was completely satisfied. The meat was tender and juicy and the potatoes were soft and tasty. Overall my food was very flavorful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ate here for the first time today and I was pleasantly surprised with the food. I ordered a super burrito with carne asada, and it was one of the best burritos I've had in a long time. I was kind of surprised that the side of chips they give you is so small when compared to other restaurants, but it ended up being just the right amount for me. Love this place! We stop in all the time during our lunch hour. Seriously my entire office orders! Salsas are always on point and we love the variety. Don't think we've ever ordered anything we don't like from here. Only missing one star because I cant bring myself to eat inside :( its always clean but I pick up on a smell from one of the drink motors. Like a wire is burning or the motor is near it's end. I do love their carne asada burrito but EVERY time I order a super - I tell them PLEASE spread the sour cream and guacamole ACROSS the burrito. I'm paying MORE for the super - specifically for the sour cream and guacamole and I"m SO TIRED of ONLY getting it at ONE END of my burrito. Seriously - NOT HARD to figure out if you're going to charge MORE for this - SPREAD it ACROSS the burrito so I can have it as I eat my whole burrito. Don't stick a LITTLE DAB on one end!! SO if you don't care about getting a SUPER Burrito - then YES this is the place to go but be prepared for delicious meat but BIG dried hot peppers through out your burrito. I absolutely love this place. It's my favorite burrito place hands down. My friends and I have been eating at this place since (at least) 1999 (used to be called "Burrito Factory")! It's seen me through college, law school and the present rat race and I can always depend on them to cook me a fresh burrito just the way I like it. They are consistent with my super burrito with carne asada sans cheese, onions and cilantro (AND they always get my order right, which I'm learning is vary rare these days). I love the taste and portions and use it for two meals, if possible (otherwise, I'd be a fat cow since I love their burritos so much). And it's only $6.50. For the quality and price, I would choose Super Burrito over Chipotle or any other burrito place of any range, including, Taco Bell, Baja Fresh, Chevy's, Alcupulco, Los Compadres, etc. I'm very sad when I get off at a undecent hour in the evening and Super Burrito is closed (they close at 9:00 p.m.). I try not to eat here too late, but about once a month, when I get in the door at 8:59 p.m. or five minutes later, they always are obliging to take my order (and give me a churro for free to my weight's detriment, but I'm not complaining). There's a reason why this place has been here for over half a decade, whereas other businesses have come and gone in this plaza. Come and see why to taste it for yourself (free nachos n salsa if you eat-in). If you like Jarritos drinks, they have them here in the cute bottles. read more

Oh my gosh...from the pictures on Yelp, this place looks wonderful. We should have walked out as soon as we saw piles of dirty dishes and food on the tables. The picture of the interior looks so lovely but this is a filthy and down trodden place. Our group ordered a few dishes and each dish was brought to the table at about 5 minute intervals. I'm not sure why this happened as there were plenty of cooks in the back area. These are burritos not rocket science. No special requests but each simple dish seemed to be an ordeal for them to present. I actually got up to find out if there was a problem but got snapped at. I was so disgusted at the sticky floors and chairs, I came close to skipping my burrito. It would have been a good idea. Very low quality ingredients and dry stale tasting tortillas. The two different meat burritos were full of fat and grizzle. Go veggie if you have to eat here. Simply awful. There is a tv and it is turned on full blast so it can be heard all the way in the back. I was so happy to leave. There are so many great Mexican restaurants in this area, I am stunned they manage to stay open. read more

My friends are a huge fan of this place because it is both cheap and convenient (being located in a large grocery plaza near their old high school). At first glance, the exterior is a little lacking, I mean it is in a large plaza near a high school so their clientele are usually...high schoolers skating by on their penny boards on their lunch break. I had the chile verde super burrito, as did my friend (which is his usual) and my other friend got the steak version. All in all a good burrito for $7.00. They have a bunch of other things on the menu as well as larger sizes for their burritos. Another time we went there, my friend ordered just a steak taco...I would stay away from it because it's basically two small tortillas filled with chopped up bits of "steak" that was just really chewy - almost jerky like. Note: If you have time, eat at the restaurant because they give you free chips and their is a rather large selection of salsas that you can fill in to go containers or etc. There is also a orange sauce that is reminiscent of La Vic's, but yanno, whatever - sauce is sauce and I'm not going to bring my own sauce. read more

My finance and I have been here several times and have tried several of their items. The first time we came she had the breakfast burrito and I ordered a carne asada super burrito. Both were good. We also ordered their pork tamal and it was definitely the winner. The price was a bit hight but when they served it to us we found out why the price was higher than usual, it's about the size of two tamales plus they cover it in red sauce and cheese. Service here is friendly and prices are very reasonable. They have a soda machine so free refills. They also take amex. Sometimes they sell out on tamales, which in our opinion is really good, but only if you order it to eat in the restaurant. We ordered 3 dozen tamales (pork and chicken) for a party and they're not as good reheated. By reheated I mean through the microwave. The masa is very thick around the meat, that's why the tamales are so big, you'll have to reheat it by steaming it for it to be good. Once we ordered the tamal and the red sauce tasted bland like it had no flavoring in it at all. Their quesadilla is good, plenty of meat and cheese on two tortillas that's been grilled. They grill their tortillas here instead of steaming it like most places. I think the least favorite item was the chimichanga. It was basically a giant flauta, which contained just the meat in the deep fried tortilla with the lettuce, cheese and tomato served on the side. No beans or rice inside. Their free chips and salsa is really good but it's not unlimited and the portions are kind of small when shared with two people. read more

I basically work next door to this place, and today I gave in and lunched here. Being a new resident from Texas, I know Mexican food, and I've had my suspicions about California chains getting it right. But this place is legit. It's small and borderline divey, like my favorite taquerias back home. There's a salsa bar and free chips for dine in orders, and the tv is tuned to Spanish soccer, like my taquerias back home. But my taquerias back home aren't well-known chains, as I was informed Super Burrito is. So I still had my reservations. Ordered the crispy chicken taco (my bf's favorite) and the super burrito with green chile, con cilantro y cebolla. Had i not been going to work, one of those $5 margs would have been in my order, too. Got my chips, stopped by the salsa bar. Tried two types- a queso-looking, light- tasting yellow concoction and a fresh roasted salsa with onions and cilantro. Clearly this was way too much food for one person. Sat down, ate five chips, and my food was served- love the quickness! Crispy taco was stuffed with chicken and served alongside a small salad- underneath the lettuce pile was a heap of cheese, exactly what I was looking for! Added it to the taco and chewed down. I'm still a soft taco lover at heart, but quality was good. And then there was the behemoth of a burrito. I cut it in half, the number one sin of burrito-eating. I'm pretty sure the Mexicanas at the table behind me started talking shit right then and there. Oh well, I knew I could not defeat the thing. As I cut, green chile oozed everywhere, but the other stuffings stayed in place. I bit in, and saw heaven. Perfect ratios of guac to chile to rice and beans. Very little sour cream, just how I like it. Cheese melted to well you couldn't even see it. Spot on! Devoured the half and was stuffed, as expected. Boxed the other half for bf... Or myself, if I Get hungry in the middle of the night. Definitely coming back here. Maybe I'll make this my regular Friday lunch... Or grab a marg here after work instead! read more

So, you love La Victoria's orange sauce, but you don't think much of that thing they call a burrito, yet you keep going back there because you're not sure where to get a GOOD burrito, well I have the perfect solution. Next time you journey all that way to downtown sj, pick up a whole damn bottle. Then, the next time you're a hungry tiger, come here and get a super burrito togo, take it home and introduce it to your orange sauce, and just feel the love as you take that first bite. I usually order the carne asada, with everything but no beans (not that beans are bad, but beans are bad for me) and get my bottle of orange sauce, and go to town on it. The people here are nice, come after 2pm on school days so you don't run into the rush caused by the homestead kiddies...that usually will take DAYS...They also do phone orders too, but if you're picky about what goes in that burrito, you may want to order in person. Sometimes they'll get your order wrong when it's complicated. eg. hi, can I get a super burrito with carne asada, light beans, extra onion, and light on the cilantro, extra salsa, extra cheese and no guacamole. Guarantee fail if you try to order that on the phone!!! The prices are pretty much the same for a super burrito here and at la vics, but this one is SO much bigger and SO much bettter! read more
