Great burritos. My favorite go to for Mexican Food in South Bay. Chicken Super Burrito are my favorite

I went to SB on 1/14/22 for takeout of 2 carne asada burritos. I was never so disappointed with eating out. This was the worst burrito ever; it had no pork just a few squares of beef. Loaded with sour cream which I said no SC. all it had was avocado and rice and a small number of beans. I've always looked forward to your burritos, been going there for many years. I will never return to such a horrible place to eat. I don't know what happen to you guys, but you give takeout a bad name, and you should close if this is the best you can do. :-( If I was closer, I would have returned for money back. read more

ate here the past weekend, as its my friends' favorite go to burrito place. i got the wet carne asada burrito. it was okay until i kept finding fat and cartilage from the meat. but the chips and salsa are really good, and the workers there are very nice and attentive. read more

Very good Authentic Mexican food & the variety of salsa for you to pick & have is a very big plus ! Especially if u like a little extra kick in your burritos, tacos etc ..( green salsa is the best) read more

This place replaced Burrito Factory (or was it simply a name change?). I've been here once since the change and it seems like the exact same stuff. I like the carne asade super burrito. The carnitas version is not bad if you eat it soon after receiving it; otherwise it's soggy by the time you get home (meh). read more

Carne Asada was gross - tons of gristle. Quality of meat is also terrible. It doesn't taste fresh. Their kitchen area is filthy. Need I say more? Won't be returning. read more

Removing 1 star. I don't know if they changed management and/or chef, the flavors have somehow changed and quality has slightly deteriorated. It is still my go-to taqueria in the area for its portions, availability and convenience. read more

Super burritos! Just got four breakfast burritos, including chorizo, sausage and bacon. Family loved them. Big and tasty.

So came here for the first time.... Not impressed. 1. Orderd super carne asada burrito and a coke TO GO. 2. Nice salsa bar. Tasty salsa. Recived chile verda burrito? Wtf. Didnt bring back due to i was already on freeway when i opened it. fatty meat no flavor. Didnt finish it. $11 down the drain for another just run of the mill mexican restraunt. Maybe if you have a few drinks the food taste better. Its not hard to provide good quality food to your customers. Quality control check your food and trim the meat cook to order your meat. Dont cook before hand . this causes mear to be chewy and lacks flavor. read more

Last night was my second time here and I was not impressed at all with the service. I ordered 2 crispy chicken tacos w/chips and salsa and a side of guacamole and a strawberry margarita. I understand that they close at 9pm..we were there around 8. It took a good 10-15 minutes for my dinner to come out. During that time, I snacked on my chips and salsa, but no guacamole. In fact, my guacamole didn't even come out until after my tacos! The tacos were fairly decent sized and filled to the brim with chicken. But that's all that was in them. Chicken. No room for me to add anything else. Oh well. The margarita was ok. Not as strong as the last one I had here. Next time I'll remember to get it on the rocks and not blended. They ended up messing up the orders (I was there with 3 other people), but in the end we all got what we paid for. It's cheap and ok food, but I think Chipotle is better... except for the cheap margaritas. That's where they win. There was a large group of rather loud teenagers that bombarded us with their presence (they didn't even buy anything.. just sat at the table and yelled for 20 minutes). It was near impossible to hear each other. That kinda helped ruin my experience, so maybe I'll go back again... Just not sure right now. read more

YUMMY! I live in San Jose, so don't have a lot of time to pitch a ride and go down there to eat, but I went here about 3 years ago with my cousin and placed a order a dozen of tamales of beef and chicken. It was the best tamales I had in a while! The price here is cheap! And good. There burritos there are really good as well, I had the beef burrito. Taste very juicy and have really good flavor to it. I really enjoyed it! I only went here for one year but my cousin has been going there over 4 years. She loves it too! The employees there are very friendly.... the place has a very warm feeling to it. If you ever crave for some Mexican cuisine, I recommend you to go to Super Burrito and give it a try, you won't regret it. That's where I recommend all my friends to go and they always give me positive feedback. ----------- One dislike I do have about it, is that the place kind of closes early. After looking at their website I decided to go in and get a burrito since they are conveniently located a block from my place. I was kinda impressed that it is actually spacious when you walk in. I stood a around for a while until a cashier came out to take my order. She seemed to not be having a great day, or simply customer service is not her thing. She didn't greet me at all, not one word and she just kept looking down at the register waiting for me to to order. I realized she would not greet me at all so I just placed my order. I had a bean and rice burrito which was pretty standard, not great, not bad, but kinda bland. Also very small for $4.62. I do have to give them props for the salsa bar though, there's a great selection to choose from, and the red salsa I got was very good. read more

Been here a couple times. Today the quality was just not up to par. 'Fresh' salsa was soggy and cilantro was brown. I wouldn't usually mind paying the extra fee for the carne asada that they are charging but the food was just really bland and soggy. They charge for chips which seems excessive when the prices are already high for mediocre food. Update... the day after we ate here we all had upset stomachs! Great food with ok pricing for the area. Food is much better in terms of authenticity than most places in the Bay Area.

HAIR. IN. MY. FOOD. mmmmm, real yummy, right?? NOT. i am so very disappointed by this place. i mean, i actually thought that their CARNE ASADA BURRITO was pretty bomb until i found a few strands of HAIR in my friggin rice. or was it beans? so unappetizing. then i moved on to my other order, the NACHO WITH BEEF and after eating a few, i noticed yet again ANOTHER STRAND OF FRIGGIN HAIR in my dish. so not only is it just ONE dish, it's TWO DISHES THAT ARE CONTAMINATED BY HAIR. what is up with that? it's not mine for sure bc i've had my hair in a bun all day and there's no way i prepped the food, so it's most definitely their fault. this is very uncool. i thought that their food was pretty amazing... until this unforgivable offense. Someone needs a new alarm clock! Not me, I'm up before the sun, and I'm usually at work by 8am, but when I heard this place made breakfast burritos that compete, I made a detour to check them out. According to their posted hours, they open at 8, but when I arrived at 8:10, the doors were locked, and I was informed by a worker that it would be another ten minutes... Since I was already running late point, I opted to come back another time. I stopped by for lunch later that week and got a super burrito with carnitas, and a couple of their salsas. In spite of it's foil wrapping, this was a damn good burrito! Much better than most of what I've found in the bay area. So once again I tried for a breakfast burrito, this time I got to the place by about 8:15, and they were open. I got a chorizo and egg with potatoes, and again, it was pretty amazing, so this week I tried again and sure enough they were open late, but the burrito was good. So today I try my luck at 8am, and found locked doors, so I waited for a while in my truck, then tried again at 8:15, which got a worker to come to the door and again inform me that it'd be anther ten min. Ballsacks! So what's an early risin' burrito freak like me to do? They've got the best product in the area, but they either need to change their hours, or get it together. I'll deal with the SF whiteboy prices, the food is 4-5 stars easy, but the service... Edited: They earned another star for being open the last couple of times I've gone there. read more

I've been coming here since I was in high school (15 years ago). It was Burrito Factory but they changed it to Super Burrito, but the food didn't change (thank goodness). Here are some clear points on why this joint has a 5 star rating from me. 1. My order: Regular Chicken Burrito, no beans, cilantro or onions. In addition: rice, cheese and lettuce. The burrito is wrapped perfectly and everything is in equivalent amounts. Only once of all the times that I went, they put in beans when I requested no beans on my to-go order. 2. The rice flavor is perfect and the chicken never too dry. 3. Above all, what makes this place stand out the most..is their excellent sauces! AMAZING! I use tons of their red sauce, and now they have more options as well . For those who are hesistant on hot sauces, I can't tolerate really spicy generally..but this sauce is just perfect. I have never found another place that had such great sauces. I even use it for my tortilla chips. **They offer great little to-go cups for the sauces. 4. The price is right and the location is small but homey. 5. This is my favorite burrito place, I hope they stay around forever! read more

Might as well call this sustenance for Ed. I've gone here so many times I can't even count. For breakfast I'll get a bacon and egg burrito w/ black beans, cilantro and onion, and fresh salsa inside. For dinner I'll get a super burrito with chicken, black beans, cilantro and onion and salsa inside. They have the best darn salsa, period. I don't know what they do to it -- and to be completely honest, at first I didn't really like it. But I went back, now I'm hooked. Every time I'll try and eat there because they give you free chips and salsa to much on while they make your food. Just in case you missed that -- FREE chips and salsa when you eat there. In the times when I just cant afford the 15 minute eat time, I'll order a chips and salsa to go -- then pour all the salsa all over my burrito and delve into my little spot of heaven. Thank you super burrito, you've saved me from taco bell so many times I can't even count. I give this place 6 stars, but then knock it down to 5 stars because there was one time I found a bone in my chicken burrito. The way things are going now-a-days, it's nice to know my food actually came from an animal, and wasn't grown in a petri-dish and mechanically separated on a production line mcnugget style. This used to be our place for burritos, but the food is too inconsistant in quality and sometimes they don't give you a lot of meat. Still, we occasional go back because the taste is good and it's never poor. Super burritos have too much sour cream and guac for my taste. Chips and salsa are good. Price is good and the service is pretty good. Carnitas and carne asada are staples. One my son's had the enchallidas once and enjoyed them. Good amount of cheese and a nice sauce. read more

I tried this place out after a friend was ranting and raving about how this was the best burrito in South bay. I stopped by and got my usual, super burrito - carne asada. I wasn't very impressed, the meat was tough and stringy to me. I must mention that I'm very sensitive about my meat, and I can't swallow meat that is overcooked, or tough and stringy. I usually eat my meat bloody rare, or cooked in a pot for a long long time. Anyways, the burrito was big, but I wasn't impressed. I didn't find the burrito very satisfying as I was having trouble swallowing the thing. The meat wasn't very tender, and tasted like it sat on the grill until someone ordered it. HOLY BURRITO!!!!! I don't like Mexican food. I crave it probably 3 times a year and everytime a giant burrito is in front of me I think "I will never be able to eat all of this". 20 minutes later the whole thing is in my stomach and I hate myself. BUT I really liked the food at Super Burrito. I got a Super chicken burrito (lots of chicken, rice, beans, guacamole) and a carne asada soft taco (I couldnt commit to a carne asada burrito but still wanted to try it). Both were good! This place is divey and underrated. It looks and feels like a hole in the wall and the strip mall locale is no pull. However when you walk in a late Sunday, it's nearly all Hispanic patrons which is a plus. I thought the tacos at first for $1.65 was kinda pricey but then when I got them the quantity showed why. Great lengua and al pastor; and good asada. I'd prefer the tortillas get more grill time and then it would be fabulous. The service was really fast and it's close to home, but i'm still uncertain if i'll be back. Pass this place a few times and thought I try it. It's actually very good. I'm from LA and grew up eating Mexican food so I'm pretty picky but this place has a great salsa bar with many types of delicious salsa that compliments every thing in the menu. I had the Carnitas dinner plate replaced rice with salad to reduce my carb. I loved the carnitas as well as the refried bean. The tortilla was delicious too. It was soft and chewy. Love the texture. OMG, I'm so happy I found this place by mistake. I've read most of the reviews. My only complaint was the salsa was low, but I'm sure they would have brought out more if I had asked. My bean and cheese burrito was very good. I think it was $3.49? This is close enough to my work, I don't have to go super far anymore for Mexican food. I'm a happy camper. read more

Not the best burrito place but it's definitely not the worst and the location is convenient so all that added up equates to 2-2.5 stars. I had their Super Burrito with a Cheese Quesadilla take out. The burrito was about what you'd expect. The Carne Asada I got was alright but again definitely not the best I've had. The Quesadilla was also not terrible and the accompanying salsa selection was about as good as every other burrito place with all the usual suspects. All in all, Super Burrito gave me a remarkably average experience. The pricing/location is good enough to stop by when the burrito craving hits but if you have better options closer to you, Super Burrito should not be on your mind. Hell if you're just hungry and you're in the plaza where Super Burrito is located, there are probably at least one or two better options in the plaza. read more

I decided to try this place because I've seen it while going to Wing Stop a few times and it was pretty packed. And I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed. I ordered 3 regular tacos with carnitas to-go and it was so bland. I regret not grabbing salsa before I left. The price is decent for tacos though because some other places charge $2.00. I guess I got what I paid for? The lady was kinda rude too and seemed like she wanted me to hurry up and take my order. I mean it was early in the morning, but she could have been nicer. Usually, at taquerias, they would give you chips but not here. I don't know if it's because they forgot to give it to me, or I was suppose to ask. I don't know. Simple, clean place for Mexican food. I tried their burrito for the first time today. It's your usual affair...boiled chicken + refried beans. It's ok but I've had better (my personal gold standard/fave is the rice-based burrito that can be at SF's L'Avenida Taqueria). That said though, this burrito beats the pants off of some of the grossness I've tasted in L.A., where one popular joint was selling basically what I can describe as a meat-like slurry inside a burrito skin. X_x It's cheap too...the $6.75 meal is more than one person can finish, it's really only necessary to order a burrito a-la carte, even that's not that easy to finish for everyone. I did only b/c I was starving and this was my first meal of the day at 4 p.m. in the afternoon. I'll be coming to amend this review accordingly...it's close to home and provides a good dining out choice. read more

All I can say is,"WTH!?" This was the most bland burrito I've EVER had! The rice was dry and blah, the meat was dry and blah...the only thing I probably liked was the sour cream. Burritos are supposed to be satisfyingly tender and flavorful, not dry and bland as dirt.. Came here craving for Mexican food and had the option of eating next door at Taco Bell but for some reason wanted to give this place another try after almost choking on a chicken bone during my last experience here. They had a lot of potential for being one of the few "authentic" Mexican hole in the walls around the area but then shot down with the use of cheap ingredients aka crunchy salad or cole slaw that didn't exactly slide down that easily and the lack of time to sort clumps of fat in their meat. Next time, I'll listen to my instincts and head over to good ol Taco Bell. read more

The food at Super Burrito on Hollenbeck near Homestead is mediocre. I was there for lunch this week and ordered the 2-taco plate with beans and rice. I was unimpressed with the quality of the food and am unlikely to return. There are much better Mexican restaurants not too far away. The good news is that the lady who took my order behind the counter (no waiter service) was pleasant and they brought the food to my table quickly. I noticed that the Yelp evaluations for this place have gone downhill throughout 2017 so other folks are agreeing with me. There is plenty of parking in this large strip mall and they have 3 outdoor tables plus indoor seating. read more
