Very rude old lady. Blacks aren't appreciated/welcomed there??? (Definitely appears that way) :( I will not be going here again. The food is not that good last time I went. And the service is bad. This would have been my second visit to the restaurant. I was on the phone talking to a friend as the lady old lady was trying to take a order of someone who was my friend who was treating me to breakfast. And the old lady said very rudely in a demining way in a very disrespectful tone. " I can't hear and you have to take it outside" Imediately I felt very disrespected and told my friend cancell my order, which would have been a chicken burrito with fries and drink and I told him let's go. And I no longer want anything from the restaurant or will ever come here again.My friend stayed and ate his veggie omelette while I waited outside insulted and hungry :( I can admit I was in the wrong for being inconsiderate to here degraded ears. So I can say sorry for that. However she could have said it in a respectable professional way with a pleasant tone. Something Like: Excuse me sir but, I can't hear. Do you mind going outside. I discovered this place 6 years ago, went there about 2x a month. Except for the old lady that talks like a parrot being totally rude every visit, the food was pretty good and it was worth it. Different story in the last 2 years or so, all downhill. I thought I'd give them one more chance with a simple order: hamburger with no onions and some fries. Of course I get home and there were onions on the burger (again) which I cannot eat, the meat was the worst I'd ever had there and fries were totally under cooked (again). Overall good experience coming here. This is a small family style burger joint. Their burgers without any question are super amazing. I love getting their bacon cheeseburger combo here. The burgers taste very authentic and way above the level which you get a burger from a commercialized place. The only reason I give them a 4 star instead of 5 is due to their customer service and the way they may come off. They are very to do the point typically no conversations and the owners/workers hardly crack a smile. I personally think it's just a cultural thing with their customer service and the owners are very old school with their style of operation. Either way I don't let any of that bother me as I can see this is how they are with almost anyone. Amazing and Humble little spot here in Tujunga! This place may look small but the food here is not bad at all, in fact the burgers are Delicious. They have hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, and even Chicken burgers which are my personal favorite :P. My personal opinion is that everybody has gotta try the CHICKEN PLATE it's not too pricy, more moderate but it's for sure worth the cash. Giant piece of juicy chicken served with rice, a salad it's the perfect combo. I usually call in and they have it ready in like 5 min and even when I don't call in its never a long wait. Now for the Service, the owners are not always all that accommodating or inviting but that shouldn't stop you from changing your opinion about this place, or give them a bad review because they didn't "Smile at you" or "treat you like your a God", give the food a try first if you really reach there core there really nice people. Try the sourdough bacon sandwich-- this is what Mr. Jack from Jack in the Box dreamt his sourdough Jack would be, but never quite attained the taste because of his frozen patties that have traveled 500 miles and sat in the backroom for several weeks before getting cooked on grill without love, then wrapped and given to you. As far as local semi--fast-food burger places go, this is as decent as you can expect. The chili burger was good. Avoid the pastrami sandwich. Fries and onion rings are what you'd expect (greasy and delicious). They got stuff like shrimp and pork chops on their dinner menu, but would you order those things at a place like this? Tujunga's best kept eatery secret. Best burgers in Sunland/Tujunga community, perhaps in the entire Valley, and damn good french fries too! This is what fast food burger places aspire to in the way of a burger and rarely accomplish. As a Tujunga local, I have been coming here for 12 years. Quite diverse food choices-Greek, Mexican, American and breakfasts too. The name is deceiving since they are way more than a burger stand. Best biscuits and gravy around, but all of the breakfast deals are the best! And yes, the owner/chef ain't the friendliest guy in the world, but he is polite to us repeat customers and yes, he does kick out the ruffians and troublemakers who would otherwise spoil the experience for the rest of us trying to wake up over coffee and eggs. Thank you for that! In the interest of transparency, I must say that the only meals that I have eaten here in 12 years are breakfast and burgers, mostly because these are so damn good every time I come here I just can't get past my old favorites. Some day soon I will venture into other meals, perhaps hit them up for dinner on my way home from work. I will be back on Sunday for my usual #8 biscuits and gravy special breakfast. read more

I absolutely adore hole-in-the-wall/mom and pop/get what you pay for establishments but... My experience: First thing I noticed wrong was the uninviting nature of this place. Was ignored at the outside window. I had my dog with me and therefore was trying to be respectful and not assume I could bring a pet indoors. (Why say you can take certain credit cards on the outside window if you dont do business through those windows, payment information should be on the establishment door if this was the case.) So this older lady, who I believe owns the place, is sat down just inside the window giving me an evil eye and not saying a word for what felt like forever. Finally an employee comes over and the lady moves away wordlessly. He opens the window and I give him my order. As I am about to give my card to pay he says you have to pay inside. (At this point I'm so baffled at their obliviousness of my dog sitting right there on the sidewalk in full view.) I ask him can I bring my dog inside, he looks down, huffs, and decides to take the card after all. Waiting for the food I ordered I began noticing what an odd way to prepare breakfast burritos. Nonetheless I get my food relatively quickly and go back home. I take a bite out of "my" burrito and get a mouthful of hashbrowns, which I cannot eat. I had specifically ordered mine sans hashbrowns. Of course me and my boyfriend's burritos were mislabeled. Now eating the correct burrito I am struck with how bad it is. Let me break this down. Loosely wrapped, all tortilla in the first few bits. Egg is thin as a crepe with no flavor. Whole breakfast sausages rather than diced up like my boyfriend's polish ones were in his. I didnt even see cheese until half way through, and opening up the burrito (losing appetite now) much of the cheese was not even melted. My boyfriend's burrito was no better he said. Hashbrowns devoid of taste. No seasoning, no salt, nothing. Eggs were the same as mine. Cheese was clumped in the latter half of his burrito as well. Which means the cooks do not care how their food tastes! Burritos should have somewhat consistent bites shouldn't they? Super Charburger put no passion in their food based off this experience. We've been here around 10 times. The old lady's attitude is not going to change. She's not THAT bad, she's just very blunt. She doesn't seem to have any interest in you besides taking your order correctly and taking your money. She definitely does come off as intimidating but it's actually pretty funny. I ordered a cheeseburger combo and at the very end i had forgot to substitute mayo instead of special sauce (this is when i was about to pay i told her) she looked at me in a very bothered way and scribbled aggressively on the note pad and wrote MAYO. It was hilarious to us! That knowing of course already how she is hahahah. So we don't care for the attitude, she's old and clearly not social. The food IS DELICIOUS. The food is awesome here. Everything is made fresh to order, the lettuce is always crisp and the tomatoes never soggy. They make the best burgers in this town. The location is a bit small and they have some tables, but if you take out that isn't a problem at all. Some items are better than others. The Chicken Fried Steak sandwich is so-so but not terrible. However the cheeseburger, patty melts and gyros are awesome. The menu is pretty diverse though and breakfast is served all day (the breakfast is good as well) so you'll probably find something you like. They serve mexican food as well, the combo burrito wasn't very palatable to me but the burritos are huge and if you order it with chicken it's probably awesome. I started going there in high school a couple years ago. I don't pass by anymore on the way home but I go when I have business in that area and the only thing I ever regret from it is that I ate too fast. Try this place! I'm actually drooling for a bacon cheeseburger with ranch on the side right now. UGH!!! The only recommendation I have would be to get better customer service. The guy who owns the place is really nice to my boyfriend but not so much to me. And the girl that works there has this look on her face like she is pissed off I came in. This Place is one of the areas best kept secrets.....is been around forever. The appearance is nostalgic. Everything is fresh!...The owner is really obsessed with the quality of his food and takes serious pride in what he serves. Other than drinks, fries and salads the owner(older Greek guy) won't let any employees touch the food. The presentation of each item on the dish is done to perfection.....his way.....very impressed! Considering this place is known as a burger joint. They serve breakfast all day plus their burgers and Burritos are some of the best I've ever had. Their breakfast burritos are amazingly huge! Plus their combination beef burritos and bean & cheese burritos are awesome This isn't fine dining or kiss ass service... but the service is fast and quality food is of great value. People give the owners a hard time, especially the older lady which happens to be the owner/wife. But there's been a lot of vandalism done to this place, scratches on the windows, and graffiti on the tables cuts to the seats, so they don't just let groups of teenagers come in and hang out. If you become a regular, you'll find that the staff will "warm" up to you and treat you like you're family. LOVE this place! I have been coming here for nearly 15 years and this place is still the best little burger shop I've ever been to! The food is delicious, prices are reasonable, and the portions are large! I'm surprised to see others have had negative experiences here, because the couple that works here has always been exceptionally kind to me. Until about 7 years ago I had been a vegetarian. So when I first walked into this place as a shy high-schooler, I'd asked if they had any vegetarian options, and the gentleman helping me graciously made me the most delicious veggie-substituted gyro I've ever had! From then on I was hooked. When I started eating meat I discovered that all of their food was OUTSTANDING. I wanted to recommend items in particular but as I'm thinking over the list in my head I realize I just have too many faves. One thing I will say is their tzatziki is homemade and AMAZING so if you're in the mood for Greek you have to try something with that sauce on it! What's the verdict? Well.... For 2 double avocado cheeseburger combos and a bacon cheeseburger combo- a whopping $28! Whaaaaaaaaaaat? The burgers are good both in taste and size. The fries are good because they aren't soggy, nor are they over cooked. but the sodas are children sized! I had three sips and I was done! They pack them with ice which was a total jip. Service was ok. Not amazing, not horrible. We took the order to go but the inside is small. About ten booths or so. There is plenty of parking in their lot and on the street. That I liked. Would I come back? Maybe. But it is a lot of moolah for a cheeseburger. :-/ Then again, I'm all for supporting our small businesses. I'm a local and on occasion I stop by here whenever I'm not in the mood for the nearby Subway or Tommy's. While the food is average for places like this, the relative seclusion and reasonable price makes Super Charburger a good place to go for the occasional meal. The restaurant has a diverse breakfast and lunch menu. For breakfast, they serve omelets, eggs with every form of pork, or a breakfast burrito. The lunch menu has sandwiches, burgers and some ethnic dishes like gyros. The service is average. There is only two to three people working behind the counter so the wait can get long, particularly during the typical meal hours. They also take phone orders. There are some things you should know about this place. On more than one occasion, I have seen LAPD and Sheriffs eat here and they come at random hours during the day. So if you and your buddy just smoked weed and have the munchies, do NOT come here unless you are familiar with the Fourth and Fifth Amendment and know a good criminal defense attorney. Also, this place is closed early on Mondays for some reason. My biggest peeve is that this place accepts CASH ONLY. For the health nuts, you should know that they drench the morning toast in melted butter before serving it to you. This place is worth checking out if you are a local or you are passing by Foothill because the 210 is jammed. Just not on Mondays. read more

I've NEVER had such bad customer service from any place ANYWHERE!!! "Super Char" perfectly exemplifies the soul of the old woman who took my order at the walk-up counter... My brother and I went here for the first time last night, and we ordered two burgers and a drink. At the end of our ordering, I decided last minute to add on another burger. The old woman looked at me with a glare that could summon Satan himself and literally SCREAMED at me, "SO WHAT DO YOU WANT?!!!" I was taken aback by her abrasive attitude, but I decided to look past it and said politely, "Oh I'm sorry for the confusion, ma'am. We want a total of 3 burgers." Then she told us the total amount we owed, and I put my debit card in the chip reader, which is always a hit-or-miss situation with my debit card for some reason. The lady told me the card wouldn't go through, so I asked her to try it again, as this sometimes helps. When it didn't go through a second time, she said it didn't work, and THREW my debit card back at me. I said to her, "Oh, I'm sorry that didn't work, I have another card I can use," and I pulled out my second card to use instead. Then the old hag SHOOED ME AWAY with her hand, and began taking someone else's order. I was confused for a second and so I repeated myself: "Ma'am I have another card I can use to pay for my order." And she ignored me and again shooed me away. An old man (presumably the owner/ her husband) came out and spoke to her in another language. And I then realized she was refusing to serve me. I said asked her, "You won't take me other card to pay for our meal?" And she and the old man ignored me again. So I said very loudly, for all of the staff and the other people in line to hear, "Thank you for being so INCREDIBLY RUDE to me and refusing to serve me! I WILL be writing a scathing Yelp review so that everyone knows how terrible your customer service is, and so that they will know to AVOID THIS PLACE!" Then the old man yelled "Get out of here!" and shooed me away with his hand as well. Moral of the story: don't go here. The staff are assholes. Take your business elsewhere. I was sad they didn't have the country fried steak but I got the corn beef hash with coffee. The hash brown was pretty good! tasted like real potatoes not those frozen one from the freezer section. I also coffee since I had a rough night driving from the bay area to LA and grab breakfast so this was def. a good stop for breakfast!
