Super Duper, it's all in the name and very appropriate! At the former site of Amy's vegetarian drive-through. You know, the one with the rooftop garden that's a little bit hard to get to, but you see it from Highway 101 North. I'm a fan of Amy's, but with a combination of bad staffing and quality control, it fell apart pretty quickly. Too bad because I think the idea should work anywhere that there is a McDonald's throughout the country. Maybe they'll get there one day? Well, Super Duper's a nice replacement. I always order the veggie burger with cheese. It's got a really nice bun and the texture of the patty is like a falafel, it even has bits of corn and carrots inside. The sauce is really good and you have an infinite amount of free pickles, just help yourself right out of the jar at the condiment table with the provided TUNGS. They are really good! The aesthetic is nice and clean, with a friendly accommodating staff. I also like the fact that the sinks for washing up are outside of the restroom. That's always a nice touch and there's a few restrooms to accommodate the patrons. I would expect nothing less from one of the top restauranteurs in the area! I mean, after all, this guy brought us Pasta Pomodoro years ago! And, a list of very successful innovative culinary delights under various names. On June 28, we visited the Super Duper in Mill Valley and were disappointed with our burgers. They were dry, and unfortunately it wasn't the first time we'd had that experience. Jesus G. and Shelia T. really turned things around for us. They listened to our concerns, refunded the cost of our burgers from our June 28 visit, and even gave us a gift card, encouraging us to come back and give them another chance. They were incredibly kind, gracious, and genuinely cared about making things right. We're so glad we went back! This time the burgers were juicy, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. It reminded us why we wanted to love Super Duper in the first place. A big thank you to Jesus and Shelia for their outstanding customer service. We were in town and I wanted to get a bite to eat. We needed a place that was dog friendly. This place looked quick and easy. After going over the menu. We decided to get a small burger and a grilled chicken sandwich. Didn't realize that this was a local chain. The guy working the counter offered to take my order even though they have self checkout kiosk. Everything is get yourself. The homemade pickles were a nice touch. I saw more than one person out on the patio eating them like appetizers The food tasted fresh,from the soft bun to the nice grilled patty. The fries were steaming hot. When did the burgers here cost so much? My hubby and I shared a super burger for $10.50 add cheddar for $1 and add bacon for $1.50. Then an order of garlic fries and an IPA for about $30 total. We ordered at the kiosk while our other friends ordered from the counter. They got their food before us even though they ordered after us from a live person. Go figure. I have to admit the burger wasn't very big but it was juicy and the garlic fries were yummy. I'm glad we ate in as the burger and fries would have been soggy if we took it to go. I went in for a late lunch after a hike around the summit of Mount Tam. It was the first time I've ever been up there, and I felt like I'd just climbed down a rope ladder from heaven into this Burger place. So. I may be biased. This is easily the best lunch I've had in a long time. All I ordered were Garlic Fries & a Veggie Burger, but they were both perfectly prepared and placed into a paper bag like they were made of gold. I paid about $20 including a soda, and enjoyed a comfortable seat that I could journal from. Fun interactions from kids but otherwise nothing too crazy in terms of the social scene. Definitely worth a stop. Tablet-based ordering is a bit impersonal compared to human interaction, but it was a quick & easy convenience that reminded me to add cheese & free stuff. As someone new to the area I feel im forever looking for the best local chicken sandwich or burger. Today I tried Super Duper Burgers in Mill Valley. I would rate my experience somewhere between OK and Good. The place was clean and the people were all very helpful. I went to order using the kiosk ordering system they had, and noticed the bird sando (spicy chicken sandwich) was offered. I ordered the chicken sandwich instead. Also got a strawberry shake, fries and a burger. Chicken sandwich was good, I liked the way the chicken was thin and had multiple pieces on it, the sauce they used was good as well. The Tomatoes were pretty bad, not sure if they were the best tomatoes they had but they weren't ripe. The Burger was good, tomatoes weren't ripe on this one either. I liked the bun on the burger as it was strong enough to hold everything together even with the burger being juicy. FYI - This was a DoorDash order; With that in mind I have to say WOW the burgers are damn good! This is a place I would stop to order food to go or eat there. I of course can't speak to the in-person restaurant experience. But I definitely plan to. This place goes above and beyond with quality, portions and taste, and you'll also note the difference on your check. Worth every penny. I actually don't think there was one thing I could complain about. They offer both a digital ordering counter and an actual clerk which is nice. Take a number and find a seat. I recently stopped by this location and ordered the super duper burger with everything, add bacon and blue cheese. The shop was very clean, and the staff all seemed friendly. The wait time was not long at all, considering it was cooked fresh to order. I guess the cashier didn't hear the "blue," because I got cheddar. Bacon and cheddar is such an inferior combo to bacon and blue. Oh well. Not a huge deal. The burger itself gave me flashbacks to Red Robin in the early 2000s. It was definitely hot, fresh, juicy, and tasty. It tasted like a burger you might find at your local neighborhood barbecue. Very classic American flavor. The toppings were fresh, and the sauce was alright. I liked the homemade pickles, and ate my fair share of them. Culturally speaking, I like what this restaurant is doing. I like that their workers are well compensated, and that there are signs in the drive through saying that real burgers don't cost $3 and aren't made in 3 minutes. The prices are very much on the high side (my burger was $14), but the quality is almost decent enough to justify those prices. There was a lot of beef on my burger. Still, I feel like a lot of the 5 star reviews are probably based more on their fair wage policies than on the flavor of the burger, which was decent, but not amazing. Quality has progressively gotten worse as the price has gone up. Tonight we sat for almost 15 minutes at the drive thru window waiting for our order. Our kids sucked down there super small cokes that come in the combo while they waited for their food. As soon as we got our food, we pulled over and started eating the fries or some of the worst coldest driest rubbery fries I've ever gotten from any drive-through. The chicken sandwich was a joke. The bun was so dry and crumbly, I had to peel all of the rock hard edges off just to bite into the sandwich and when I did, the grilled chicken was rubbery, stale, and lukewarm I can't believe we waited so long and the food wasn't fresh. It tasted like it had been sitting there half the night before they gave it to us. I'm all for paying high price for quality food. If it's worth it, this sadly was not. all four of us got home and complained individually about our experience. Pretty sad for a $75 drive-through order which consisted of three combos and an extra hamburger. Definitely will make efforts to avoid this place in the future. An incredibly juicy scratch-made, organic burger with an addicting house-made sauce and fresh produce, all on a delicious fresh-baked artisanal bun! This place is a mess. I have been to many Super Dupers and the people and food here are just not good. The service was dumb and when questioned full of attitude. The fries were so greasy and the shakes/drinks poorly done. The environment stinks - bad and loud music and there is a felling to the place both inside and out that is uneasy. Definitely feels like some Mill Valley attitude has exploded there previously and the warmth has been beaten out it. Also not clean - moved to three different tables because all were a mess - and it was not crowded. Awesome crunch, just a touch of heat and so fresh. I wish they sold it in a jar. I got stuffed eating pickles and garlic fries! After a long day of clearing a vacant house we were starving. This was a cozy Super Duper and very family friendly. The patio area is nice with some partial shade and best of all, space heaters!! We were seated outside in a corner on a cold Sunday and it was a nice surprise when we felt some heat coming from the ceiling space heater and it even kept my burger warm.
