Casual dining spot with some seating. Order at the front and they will bring your noodles to you. We chatted with one of the owners for a long time and he is a super nice guy. Very passionate about noodles and the food. The noodles are bouncy and fresh. The portion size is much better than the other noodle places like Burp Bowl and Bites of Xian. Xian Famous noodles, which has multiple locations, is really not as great as it used to be. The noodles are not as fresh and not as good. Super Taste is a great addition to the neighborhood. I hope they don't decrease the portion sizes or decrease quality.

Long time fan of the Chinatown original. I read that the owners were ready to close that shop and retire when their son decided to take over and now there's a second location in the UES. Still delicious, still one of the best cheap eats around! And such great value in this neighborhood!! When my friend and I were having our food we noticed how the owner was so friendly with every single person that came thru the door. I hope they do well for a very long time in this neighborhood!

My go-to soupy noodle dish is always beef noodle soup and Super Taste did not disappoint. The portion size was pretty good (I ate the entire thing in one sitting) and the employee taking our order and serving us was really friendly. I'm always hesitant to eat a soupy meal on a hot day (it was ~97° that day) but I still enjoyed this dish. The prices are pretty reasonable too and there is sufficient indoor seating.

Yum. Got the dan dan noodles and they were delicious. Absolutely fire. The beef noodles were also good Good for take out Incredible staff More of a eat and go place Very affordable for manhattan -- less than $20 tip included

Small spot that you could easily miss, but you'll be sorry if you do! Best dumplings with amazing sauce. And the burning chicken noodles were to die for. Great prices, no wait, and orders were ready in about 5 minutes. Only a few tables but service was exceptional! Our new go to" spot for dumplings

Ambiance (5/5): The small interior can seat 4 parties (1 table being larger to fit 8). I thought the inside was brightly lit and clean. No frills in décor. Service (N/A): I ordered at the kiosk by the front desk. The staff was friendly and no issues with the order. Food (5/5): I only ordered 1 dish which was the Burning Noodles. The bowl is a heavy portion of noodles and a pretty good amount of flavor-packed meat and sauces. I ended up eating it take-away about 45min later so it was my fault that the sauce had congealed. However, the taste profile was still spot-on! I plan to return to try their other dishes!

This place is amazing I'm so glad the UES has a location now! The OG Super Taste is in chinatown and is very popular with stellar dishes, and this branch is no different. I got the burning noodle with pork and it hit all the right spots. The noodles were chewy with good texture with the generous portion of pork. I also got a taste of the chicken dumplings, which was very good! A generous size dumpling, definitely don't sleep on this. I also met the owner, who was friendly, helpful, and overall nice person. Definitely will be back!

Burning Noodles w/Beef & Veggie Dumplings

While at work and nursing a slight hangover, I was craving something with fat and spice, to help soothe my belly. The reviews looked promising so I ordered delivery. I wanted their veggie dumplings pan fried but unfortunately, they only offer them steamed. It was nice that someone from the restaurant gave me a call to let me know and see if it was OK with me. When the food came, I appreciated the care they put into packaging my food. Everything was neat and tidy. I ordered their burning noodles with beef and their veggie dumplings. The flavor of the noodles was OK, not as spicy as I expected, but good. My only hangup with them was that they needed more sauce because by the time I received them, they cooled down and everything was a clump. I couldn't separate the noodles and mix everything together so that all the ingredients could get incorporated. The dumplings have a great filling ratio but I was disappointed that there was no dumpling sauce. They were quite plain tasting, especially since they were just steamed and there was no pan browning. I hoping that was an oversight and that they do usually serve their dumplings with sauce. Not sure if it'd order again, considering that was a pricey lunch and I wasn't that bally with it.

Very very very fried open dumplings

I'm sooooo disappointed in this meal! I had fried dumplings and vegetable- the fried dumplings were very very very fried (are they deep-fried?! They are also made "open" (see pic, and all the others') for whatever reason, so the juices are out and the oil is in, ugh); the vegetable ones were completely overcooked and mushy; I had them in-store. Which is very friendly! (Super Taste?! More like Oily Soggy Taste! ) The fillings were unsurprisingly bland, due to waterlogging/oil-logging. I'm not understanding these other reviews. Have they had these foods before?! Honestly I'm not that particular in dumplings since I love them ALL!!! (OR so I thought- I guess I draw the line at bloated/bland/overfried/soggy ) I've read so much about this, and was so excited this shop arrived! I'm afraid to try anything else now.

Super excited to come to Super Taste (haha sorry). I was very excited to eat some noodle soup as I hadn't had it for a long time. I came in and was worried that there wouldn't be seating but there was plenty of seating as people are continuously coming and going. I ordered the Hot & Spicy Beef Noodle Soup via the kiosk and it was pretty good. I appreciate the tenderness of the beef as well as the bok choy that soaked up all the flavors. I think the broth was a little bit too spicy for me but that's probably because I'm just weak and spice intolerant. Next time I come, I will try the Stewed Pork Burger as I saw that there were a lot of raves about it online. Overall, not a bad Chinese food place in UES. Also, the owner is incredibly nice and friendly - he gave us some hand sanitizer when needed some.

    Stewed pork with rice

With the opening of other dumpling shops around the neighborhood, I think this one stands out. The quality of the food and portions are superior in comparison to its competitors. I would definitely recommend their fried dumplings. I also tried out a stewed pork rice dish which was hot, tasty and filling. This may be my go-to Asian spot near the workplace! I think it's important to support these small businesses so make sure to get your dumpling fix here.

Authentic Chinese dumpling and noodle spot from Chinatown joins the upper east side to fill the cultural void that is this neighborhood (sorry) with a gem of authentic Chinese flavor. RATING 8.3/10 PRO TIP: Do not! forget to dress your dumplings in chili oil and vinegar bc this brings it to the next level. The white gourd tea is also quite delicious. STEAMED DUMPLINGS Freshly steamed, nice chewy exterior, pork interior - it's everything that a Chinese dumpling should be. Is it the best dumplings in the city? No, but it is super authentic and around here that's hard to find. Yes, the price is quite higher than the Chinatown location but it is still cheaper than everything around the neighborhood and is authentic!! This is coming from a Chinese person living in the UES. HOT AND SPICY BEEF NOODLES Super flavorful and bold, pretty good as far as this type of chinese beef noodle soup goes, and I grew up eating this. Great chew on the noodles. Warm with a mild heat to spice up your day - nothing too overwhelming. Great savoriness in the broth. FINAL RANKING: GREAT (terrible / bad / ok / good / GREAT / excellent) Welcome to the neighborhood super taste, hope you stick around!

    Panfried Dumplings

Delicious cheap food! Friendly service too. We came right when it opened at 11am on Monday and there were a couple of tables available, and we didn't need to wait too long for the food. It did get a lot more crowded at around 12pm though, so we're glad we came early. We ordered the Pork Burger, Soy Sauce Egg, Beef Stew, Soybean Noodles, Panfried Dumplings, and Steamed Dumplings. - Soybean Noodles: My favorite thing we ordered. Noodles were chewy and fresh. The soybean paste had a great flavor and wasn't too salty. - Steamed Dumplings: Not bad, but nothing outstanding. Wouldn't mind ordering again if I wanted dumplings, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to get these dumplings because they're just basic good dumplings I could find elsewhere too. - Panfried Dumplings: Also not bad. The filling tasted a bit saltier than the filling of the steamed dumplings, but it may have been from the dumplings being panfried and the skin having less moisture to balance with the filling. - Pork Burger: Good flavor, but it was a bit too dry for my liking. The pork was fatty and the burger buns were fairly thick. Overall, I would return for the soybean noodles. I know a lot of Chinatown don't have reusable plates and utentils, but the only thing that keeps me from returning here more often is this place relying on single-use plates and containers. It's basically an order-first, take-out only place with tables inside for dining.

Do they sell frozen dumplings and if so how much?

    Yeah they do!

Are there vegan options available here?

They don't have vegan, only vegetarian. Chinese man here. Lanzhou styles noodles have eggs, so it'll be impossible for them.
