I was having nails done across street from this take out restaurant and decided to give it try. I ordered a Singaporean Fried Rice Noodle, which has a light curry flavor with shrimp, roasted pork, chicken and shredded onions. I grew up in NY Chinatown so I would like to say that I know how good Chinese good taste like. The rice noodles were cooked well before they were mixed with the key ingredients, there were generous portions of meats and shrimps. In Chinatown, this dish usually is cooked in high flame and frequently tossed in a hot wok. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of it, even though it was not as "wok burning" as I would have expected. I think I must had gotten it as a lunch special because the price with a can of Diet Coke cost about $17, which is actually cheaper than what you can get in Chinatown. We had wonton soup, steamed shrimp dumplings, assorted fried dumplings and mixed vegetables with brown rice. Everything was very good, especially the soup and the vegetables. What I liked about the dumplings is that the wrappers are thin. It seems like a lot of places are serving very thick wrappers. I decided to give this place a try on a Sunday afternoon and was shocked at how busy they were. The phone was off the hook and they already had so many tickets! I did have to wait a bit to even talk to the cashier, but my order wasn't ready anyway. I got the general tsos chicken lunch with hot and sour soup and pork fried rice. The general tsos was great, still crispy under the sauce and there was actual chicken in it. The rice was pretty standard, and it tasted like they use something other than jasmine rice. I was dissappointed that they gave me egg drop soup instead of the hot and sour, I think I would've preferred an egg roll rather than the egg drop but oh well. Serviceable but definitely not outstanding is how I would describe go noodle. The staff is kind of rude and there's nowhere to sit to eat so call ahead for pickup or just order delivery. I actually highly recommend their duck noodle soup with egg noodles, it's legitimately the best thing on the menu. I also tried the salt and pepper shrimp, which was pricey, but solid. Fried rice is tasteless so I usually get white rice instead. The rest of the menu is probably exactly what you'd expect. Solid dumplings, solid lo mein. I haven't tried the sesame chicken or general tso's but I can make assumptions. I have seen peoples negative reviews and I just don't get it. The mother daughter combo tending to the counter is just fantastic. Now let's talk food. This place is not a high end eatery and never will be. They do not focus on Sichuan, so do not expect any real heat or mouth numbing from Sichuan peppercorns. What you get is solid American Chinese that's clean, tasty and affordable. You should be focusing on clean because a lot of these places are not! I have had every item on the menu and some that are not! Peking duck fix right on. Buy 50 frozen dumplings to serve your family later you betcha. Solid local Chinese takeout. Been ordering from here for a few years and the food has been consistently good. When I have a craving for classic (not exactly healthy) American-Chinese this is my spot. The homemade dumplings are excellent I usually order the assorted cause I get to sample each kind (vegetable, pork, beef, chicken, shrimp). My go to menu items include general tso's chicken, Singapore Mei fun, vegetable or pork lo mein, beef chow ho fun, shrimp mei fun, roast pork and wonton noodle soup, and the dumplings (fried or steamed). A place to avoid. Passed by and decided to stop in to place a to-go order. Ordered vegetable chow mein. When I got home, realized they gave me a plate of soupy vegetables with no noodles. Okay mistakes happen. But the worst part was sitting waiting for my order and watching the woman who took the order be aggressively rude to every single patron she interacted with, as well as with every call she took. Wouldn't say this is the best I've had, but this place is very solid. Not overly salty, fast, and reasonably priced. Their dumplings are surprisingly good and have a thin wrapper which you don't typically see at American style chine takeout places. I like how they also sell their dumplings in bulk (50 piece) frozen which I feel like I've only really seen offered in Chinatown or specific dumpling shops. They must be pretty proud of their dumplings to do so right? Didn't get to try it, but curious about their udon and noodle soup dishes too. While this place does many things right, I find it a little confusing to review as there are several aspects that are not up to par in my opinion. However, they are impressively fast and efficient, and I believe their pricing is fair for the quality of service provided. This is particularly noteworthy in today's environment where one often has to compromise on one thing to get another. On my first visit, I ordered shrimp rice and chicken fried dumplings, and it took less than 10 minutes for my order to arrive. The bill was under $20, which was reasonable. The food looked presentable, and I could see the cashier making dumplings or wontons while I was there, indicating that they are likely made in-house with care. However, the food itself was lacking in flavor in my opinion, although it may be intentionally low in sodium and healthy. It seems to cater to the taste preferences of the residents of the Upper East Side/Sutton Place area who prefer flavorless restaurants. The green peas in the fried rice were hard and dry, and the shrimp seemed slightly undercooked. Despite the negatives, I like the restaurant and plan to give it another try, being more specific about my preferences for the fried rice. They have a condiment table with sauces, chili paste/oil, and other condiments based on individual preferences. I am hopeful that my experience will improve during my next visit. read more

Where do I start? I guess by saying this is a review not of food but of customer service. I will never know what the food tastes like because it never came! I will never order from here again. Long story short- ordered on delivery.com. Estimate says 30-45 min (which is so long for Chinese food- my normal place is always about 15 min). At the 40 min mark I called to see where my food was- gave my address (and apt #) and was told it was on its way. I live around the corner- 15 min later, never came. I call back- got the rudest person ever who was short and aggressive with me when I said I was told it was coming and I live around the corner it's now 55 minutes. I was told they never received my order that the order they were talking about was for 4c in my building, not me. They told me call delivery.com, that they are a third party. I did - they called the restaurant who told them they are too busy and closing early. Nothing about not getting my order. I asked my doorman if 4c ordered food, they said nothing came for them. One hour later- no food and a bad taste in my mouth! STAY AWAY- do yourself a favor and go to Lin's Gourmet around the corner. Great food, good value and lovely people. Two dishes: Yang Chao Rice (mixed meat & fried rice) and the Garlic Pork are what we ordered. The Garlic Pork wasn't too spicy and the pork wasn't so much shredded as chunky - not nearly garlicky enough, but it satisfied an itch. The Yang Chao fried rice wasn't bad, but it was a bit dry but similarly, was close enough to what we wanted.
