Five stars for Ziara (10 if I could)! I have been going to different stylists for years, mostly referrals to salons. I've always shied away from Supercuts, but during the pandemic I wanted to get a little maintenance trim and decided it was so minimal that I'd have Supercuts do it, especially since they had chairs outside at the time and it's close to my home. I met Ziara and shared my goals, my fears and ideas for color, etc. I am protective of my hair for a personal reason. Ziara works with me on those goals and ideas - she LISTENS! I have NEVER gone back to a salon for maintenance trims every 6-8 weeks, but I have been with her because I'm not afraid something will go wrong. As a result, I have allowed her to trim even more and create layers which I am digging! I was a makeup artist for many years and know quite a bit about color, texture, etc. Although I am personally a simple person, I am discerning and bottom line is, trust is key. I trust Ziara. She never makes me feel like I NEED to do this or that - she allows me to tell her what I want and I also ask for her opinion. My hair is happier and healthier! :) read more

Until I started going to this Supercuts, I admittedly suffered through some haircuts now and then. Fortunately I found a stylist that I'm super pleased with. Anita at the 17th location is really thorough and always makes sure I'm happy with the results. Plus, she is quick so I can get it done during my lunch break. Just a good experience overall and I cannot praise her enough. All of the staff are really friendly as well. Highly Recommended!!! read more

Very slow service and it was a slow busy Monday! Other Supercuts hair cut prices are $16 and i don't know why this one is $20! I was very upset with how long I had to wait! There were workers without clients that were just talking to other co workers instead of helping me out! This left a bad view of this Supercuts to me and I will not return! read more

I'm pretty nonchalant when it comes to my hair. I run my fingers through my hair as a replacement for a brush. If it's a bad haircut, it'll grow back. Why waste tears on it. Personally my hair grows back fast anyway. It renders a $75 haircut useless in less than two months. That's why I love Supercuts and their $16 haircuts. I was seated right away. The lady was nice. She held a good conversation with me and kept me involved in the haircut, asking me every now and then if it was okay. It sounds like a given but I've met some people who can't even do basics like that. I appreciate it when someone can. They also offer stamp cards. read more

I make a good living, I have the money for a nice stylist but the fact is 20 years ago I use to ride my bike here after school and get a hair cut, the manager and a few of the stylist are still here. Didn't wanted to pay $80 for a simple haircut so I decided to check out supercut on 17th street. Checked in online at 3:45pm and I already had a appointment at 4:15pm. Just wanted a simple haircut nothing special. Vicky had good reviews on Yelp so i booked an appointment with her. She is a really cute and nice asian woman. There was one for Savannah. I stopped in. Savannah was working. They took me back within a few minutes and I got a great hair cut for $17! My dead ends are gone! Definitely not going back here again!!! I went to this Supercuts because I had a good experience with it in San Diego. I was the only guy in the shop at that time. Asian girl in her 30s cut my hair. I think she had a bad day and sounded frustrated and angry to start with while asking how I wanted my hair cut. I can only tell her so much like 2 or 3 on the sides and blend it in on the top and make it look proportionate. She was already confused at this point and went back and forth like how she CAN'T do that and CAN'T do this. She didn't want to do it. And then it was an unpleasant 20 minutes of hair cut with occasional high heat blows using hair dryer to blow off cut hair on my face. Had to tell her to turn off the heat. And some more of such things during that time... I couldn't wait to get out of there and had to make sure she cut it right and well before I got out of there. She did cut it well though. However, this super cuts really exceeded my expectations. The lady, my friend, that use to cut my hair, had left town a while back, and I needed to find a new stylist. She was great. Always spot on. Payed close attention to detail, even when I'd change things up, she never disappointed. I knew she'd be hard to replace. Usually pressed for time, I wanted to find a place close by, so I checked out my local Supercuts. My first visit there was ok, not bad, but I still felt I hadn't found what I was looking for. My second visit there was with a stylist named Bebe. I was impressed. She really took the time to find out what it was I was looking for in a cut. Looked over the texture of my hair, heard me out, thought about it for a second, and went to work. When she was done, I grinned and thought, I think I found my replacement! Great work. Every detail covered, and left me with that reassured feeling that I could rely on. She hasn't let me down and I'll be going to her from here out. If she doesn't leave town, ha. Just ok, I rarely get a haircut and typically cut my own hair. When I do go for a haircut I expect it to be better than what I would do with some clippers at home. I grew up with male, ex-military barbers cutting my hair and was used to that for years. They always did a good job. Then I converted to the more aesthetically pleasing and softer touch of the feminine variety. The last haircut I received was bad and I instead of buzzing my head I decided to have a professional fix it. When I went to this Supercuts I found it quite aesthetically pleasing. I was looking forward to getting my haircut fixed instead of buzzing it. I ended up getting getting some big young dude with a mohawk and was instantly skeptical as to the quality I would receive. I told him specifically what I wanted and how I felt I wanted it fixed. Instead of doing what I wanted he actually did exactly what I did not want. I ended up with a repeat of the same haircut as before. To make matters worse, he repeatedly hit me in the head rather hard with the comb every time he switched from comb to scissors. I actually left kind of annoyed, out some money, out some time and it looks like I am going to end up buzzing my hair anyway. read more

I was pleased with my hair cut. Unfortunately I was not happy looking like I just rolled out of bed with greasy looking hair from all the product. Majority of the time I want it nicely Combed when I leave, this was not that time. The need to push product on me was another. I've never purchased product and wasn't planning on it. I felt as if I was pushed to buy it and got me up to about $47. I ended up returning the bottles at another location. Would have been a more pleasant experience if customer service was more respectable. Not greeted when I entered and only asked if I had an appointment. Staff doesn't look happy, no smiles or friendly faces. Always ask for a certain amount off and always get "that's too short" unfortunately the decision is mine and should have a right to how much I want cut. Lady was drinking water and talking on the phone while cutting my hair. Was told products were only sold in stores but found online for cheaper. $29 in store/ $18- online $18 in store/$10-online The employees at this location give super cuts a bad name. read more

The stylist totally ignored what I wanted and then put a bunch of product in my hair, to try and sell me some, I'm sure. It made me look like a freak and smell like a French whore. Went to many friends & Family for haircuts. I finally decided to go for Supercuts where I can have the haircut experience I've been craving for. Cost me some money, but you know what, I had the best haircut satisfaction from my barber, Q. She is great! I highly recommend her. It was 1pm when I walked in with no appointment, only within a minute I was sat in a chair w/ a barber. The machine glided through my thick long hair. Worst haircut ever. I'm not super picky with my haircuts and I needed a trim while here on vacation. The woman cutting my hair never touched the hair on the sides or top of my head. She cut the back which needed it and then I realized she thought she was done. I had to ask her to trim the top. I went home and trimmed the sides. I knew it was going to be a simple quick haircut as that is what they do. I wasn't expecting salon type service but this was ridiculous. The place was dirty. Hair stuck to walls below cutting stations and just plain dirty. I began to wonder about the tools they were using! It was inexpensive only $18. I will never go back to a Super Cuts. read more

When I first came here I was scared I would get a horrible hair cut but then Vicky cut my hair. She is awesome! She's so nice and cuts your hair exactly how you want. She's so good I even had her cut my girlfriends hair and even my girlfriend loved it, and believe me, that's rare! Forget paying $50+ for getting a hair cut. I needed a good cheap haircut and didn't want to spend my usual $80.00 plus. I was lucky enough to find Kandi and Supercuts. I brought in a picture and told her I just wanted a trim. She did a great job listening to me expain and I wanted layers and just a trim. She gave me a great cut for $16.00 (haircut only, no wash or blowdry). This is not the best haircut I have ever had in my life, but it is far from the worst. I have paid five times this amout for a haircut similar or worse. To style my hair I just have to blow it dry and hit it with a curling iron in a few places. Kandi is so nice and friendly and she explained a lot of ways to style my hair and what kinds of products I should be using. I highly recommend Kandi and I am going to be a repeat client. If you only have a few bucks to spead on your hair and want a great cut, try her out. read more

I don't normally write reviews, I rather read what others say. But today I had to vent it out. I rarely go to random hair salon chains cuz I never get the same treatment that I'd expect for the cost. But on a whim I stopped into supercuts to grab some product and a young lady approached me about hair color too. Since I needed highlights anyway and it's my only day off for the next few weeks, I said "sure, I'll get some highlights". I walked into the salon about 2pm, just now leaving and it's nearly 4:30! Over 2 hours for a mediocre partial highlight job and I'm leaving with a wet head full of leave in conditioner. $65 for this gal to do nothing. I can't even tell she did highlights! She made 2 batches of bleach and didn't even finish one bowl, both are still sitting at the chair. She was very sloppy with the brush; I asked her about an all over root touch and toner. She had no clue what I meant. After she washed my hair she asked me if I wanted a light blow dry. Like it doesn't even matter to me at this point cuz I can tell even when it's wet that it's not a good color job! So I agree just so I'm not dripping wet and I ask her to trim my bangs. She replies $8 more for it. I just said no thanks and I'll do it myself at home. Wow!!! I am so upset at a waisted 2 1/2 hours on my only day off to spend $80 when I could've just gotten the product and been on my way. Maybe she was brand new, she seemed like she was unsure of everything she did! The other salons are waaaayyy worth the $20 more to get full service!!! Never again. Lesson learned. read more

I've been trying to grow out my hair for years...after years of dying, bleaching, extensions, and chemically treating it. I've stopped all that nonsense and have gotten my hair to a pretty healthy state. That being said, I only cut my hair once or twice a year (I can usually go about 9 months before I notice the split ends taking over). Anyway, I had a Christmas party coming up, and wanted to get just a tiny trim. I looked on Groupon and Yelp Deals to see if I could get a good deal (I'm on a budget for holiday presents), but didn't find anything that I could use immediately, and I needed a haircut ASAP! I noticed on Yelp that this Supercuts had pretty good reviews, and was right around the corner from my house. I checked out their website and saw I could get a haircut for $16! Now THAT is my kind of pricing. I must admit, I was hesitant to go to a "chain" haircutting place, after having bad experiences with them in the past. I popped in around 4:30 midweek, and was greeted right away by about 4 employees. Savannah, a young girl with beautiful long red/maroon hair, was the first to take down my name, and took me back to her chair right away. I told her all I wanted was the most minimal trim possible to even it all out and get rid of my split ends, because I'm all about length! She assured me that she totally understood what I wanted, and wetted my hair with some great smelling oil spray and water. She asked me about trimming up my old layers a bit, and how I parted my hair. She was done in about 15 minutes and flipped me around with a mirror to check out the back. It was so even and straight, and my hair looked so much healthier! I loved the cut and I barely noticed that it was shorter (she took off about 1/2 an inch). I hope she continues working there so I can go back next year for another trim! Her station was spotless and her beauty license clearly displayed. She didn't try to upsell anything to me which I appreciated, but I did pick up a bottle of my favorite deep-conditioner, Redken Buttercream, for $16, which is the normal price I've paid elsewhere in the past. They have the whole line of Redken products-love that! I also liked that I was able to leave her a tip with my credit card on the pinpad screen, because I totally forgot to bring cash for the tip.
