I didn't want to give 1 star, but here it is. We went thru American Home Shield and requested service for our dishwasher. It took almost a week for Superior to call us for a service call. Young man shows up on time, came inside for 2 minutes, took a picture of the model number, and said he had to order a part then left. Never said when he would be back and how long the part would take to get here. We had to call American Shield with a complaint only to find out that we were denied. Superior had told American Shield that we had hard water, and American Shield denied our claim. I didn't see the clause that they do not cover hard water. How did this young man now if it was environmental or mechanical if he did not open our machine. Something crooked for sure! We told American Shield to prove that is was environmental. So upset with the both of them. We were informed that next time look at the company before accepting them to do the job. We can deny these people to work on your appliances. We will see how this ends. American asked if this company can come back to prove hard water blockage. If Superior told us that they had to order a part, it's mechanical, right! But again, he spent only 2 minutes in our house. Must be psychic. read more

Awful, scam-like business. They appear to work with home warranty companies to help justify denying legitimate claims. They were extremely unresponsive, disorganized, and difficult to communicate with. Whenever I contacted them, I either received no response or inconsistent information. Record, document and video the technician, especially at this company ( caught them in a lie from ring cameras in the past repair 2 yrs ago and forgot this was the company or I would not have let them into the house) the moment they walk in and while they are diagnosing your appliance. Company, referred by American Home Shield, Technician, came into my house to look at a refrigerator it stopped making ice in the freezer. The freezer was still cold but not below the temperature to make ice and the fridgerator was at 40 degrees so it was probably a condenser or a fan that was probably the problem. Superior Appliance Tech started looking around at the freezer and while my wife and daughters left the room to let him do his work the technician took the ice maker out and took out a couple panels and came back to my wife with a photo and said to her that he didn't know who would have cut the wires but there were wires cut on the fan and that the service would be denied by AHS. My wife said no one is here to cut the wires and that the ice maker was working last week. He said he didn't know and that he was going to let AHS know that it was tampered with. The guy also told my wife that the fridge we had has propane and that sparks from the wires could cause the fridge to explode. He said that in front of my wife and two daughters. My wife asked him if he unplugged the refrigerator and he said that was not his job and he left our house. Job has me working out the state so I looked at the ring camera in the room and it shows the Technician going into the freezer area with wire cutters. Why do you need wire cutters if you are just trying to diagnose what's wrong. Then I thought, this guy made $125 for 10 minutes, he doesn't have to repair anything and he's now making $700 and hour for doing nothing. Stay away from this company and if AHS continues to use companies like this stay away from them as well. I'm still fighting with AHS to get my refrigerator fixed. 3 months and counting. read more

Terrible service. They were contracted with my home warranty and it was nothing but problems. They Didn't fix any of the issues, terrible communication and impossible to get a hold of. Parts were on back order and they did absolutely nothing to get the dishwasher or oven replaced basically order back order parts with no eta and then just stopped responding or answers calls from myself or the home warranty company. I don't know why it didn't post originally but Here it is: (and my second review for my second debacle experience will be added after. All the reviews are accurate, except the likely fake good ones. I was assigned this company with my home warranty service a few years ago. At that time they were called something different and have since changed their name. Probably because of the bad reviews they received back then. But they came to my house for a service repair on a washer. They reported to the warranty repair company That the problem was due to poor owner maintenance and abuse. The washer was only three years old and to my knowledge there isn't much maintenance to perform and as far as abuse, I don't even know what to say to that. They just simply didn't want to do the repair or lacked the knowledge to do so Luckily, my warranty service assigned a new contractor and they repaired it in less than an hour with no issues. This company has no interest in fixing your appliance. They only want to get the service fee from your warranty service and move on. I don't understand why they are still in business because they are still doing the same thing as they were before based on the reviews that I have read. Find a different company! I have another issue with a different washer and my warranty company assigned me to this company again, but I refuse to have them in my house and asked to have a new company assigned. If you have a reputable home warranty service, they will do the same. I recommend you request a different company or if you are just paying out-of-pocket, I would definitely go with a different company because this one will put you through the ringer. oh, and one last thing. I do not recommend this company whatsoever. The home warranty I have sent the order to this company. A few months ago, a technician came out to fix my dryer. I had previously informed the service department that it is a Bosch and that I needed someone who knows how to work on this brand. The technician fixed the dryer, but he did not properly adjust the door after taking it off. I decided to let it go and figured I would deal with it later. The heating element went out again, and the same technician came out. After he finished fixing the dryer, he was loading tools into his car. I went inside to quickly inspect the dryer to make sure everything was in order. That's when I noticed a 1/4" gap on one side of the dryer and a 1/8" gap on the other side. I immediately told him that the dryer was not put back together correctly. He was rude and said, "I tried three times already." I insisted that it needed to be corrected, and he replied, "I am not willing to try!" He then got in his car and left. When I went to take pictures of the dryer, I found screws on the floor and a part of the dryer in the trash! The front panel also had pry marks on it. I immediately called the company but could only leave a message. My message was, "Your technician just left my house, and please have the manager call me." That was three days ago, and despite calling every day since, I still have not received a call back. I have reported this to the home warranty company. I am hoping for a true professional to put the dryer back to normal, and it certainly won't be them. read more

Terrible service, terrible quality, not really a repair place at All! My home warranty contracted this "repair man". My refrigerator was working with the fan sound being a little extra loud. They came over and worked on the refrigerator which stopped working once they touched it. My property is an Airbnb and my very next guest. Let me know the refrigerator has stopped working. This company had said they were ordering apart, which took a week and a half to receive. Once it was received, they came to look at it again and said oops. We ordered the wrong part. It will be at least another week. I had to buy a new refrigerator because they broke my refrigerator And could not repair it and I could not reach them by phone. Advice: avoid them. Our refrigerator fan was making noise but still worked fine. We have a home warranty which dispatched this repair company. They didn't show up when they said they would. Later when they did show up they said to unplug refrigerator for 48 hours before they would work on it. Doing that ruined the refrigerator. It would no longer get cold. I have to say, this place is a scam. My warranty company sent them out to look at broken piece on my washer and there report made it that the company wouldn't cover the repair. The worse part is that they spent maybe 15 minutes at my home. I called this company directly regarding the repair and they quoted me $600 +. I called my warranty company for a second opinion, a new company came out, actually looked and inspected the washer, found that there was just a need for a $25 part, came back and fixed our issue. O, there report showed that it should be covered. Today they came back and fixed my washer and showed what true service is. I have called my warranty company and told them to never send this company to my home ever again if anything ever goes wrong with my appliances. My home warranty sent a service tech out to repair washing machine. After a short inspection he told us it was beyond repair. We called home warranty again. The tech this time was with 9 Lives Appliance repair,he removed the cover, determined that a broken spring was the problem. He returned the next day with the part. Guy who works on dishwashers doesn't like to work so he concocts an "electrical" problem. Electrician comes out and confirms nothing wrong with the outlet. Superior Appliance was recommended by American home insurance On my refrigerator, the top door bracket and holds the part of the door wore out and broke off, and Superior said that I caused the issue. not sure how that happened just refrigerators 22 years old and I would never buy American home insurance. They denied my claim within 20 minutes. The repairman was here for one minute, walked in, looked at the fridge and walked out and wrote it up and said, abused, insane between him and Superior and American insurance they have a total scam going so do not sign up for it read more

I went through my home warranty to get my freezer repaired. It was disappointing service. The initial visit was about 15 minutes. They said they needed a a part to be ordered. We didn't hear back for a month. Our warranty couldn't update us because there were no updated details on our profile. This company was unresponsive for a few weeks then contacted us to let us know they got the part in. When they came to fix it there was a problem with the part. Then they had to come back again. The total time of the project was, I want to say six weeks. I would not have worked with them if it wasn't for my home warranty. Sent me on hour long calls with whirlpool and cost me an extra 300$ in service requests just to get a compressor replaced. They came out to do a warranty repair and got my claim denied because of some maintenance issue per the report. It wasn't a maintenance issue. It was a problem in the drain line but they were too lazy to properly assess the issue. Another problem I have is that as the property owner after the service is done, they write a report it's very vague. When I call them to find out more detail about what's going on my call goes to voicemail and they never return phone calls. I have to call them over and over. So if you want poor work done, bad assessments and bad communication go here. Otherwise, there are a lot of other vendors in Reno in a better. read more

I would give 0 stars if I had the option. The guy that came to repair my dryer was very rude. He started telling me what I needed repaired before looking in my dryer. He tried to get $450 from me on top of the $100 I just paid my home warranty. He said it was mandatory that I have my dryer vent cleaned and that would have been $300 alone. I took him outside to where the air came out of the vent. He said "see, there isn't any air coming out ". No S**t Sherlock. The dryer wasn't running. American Home Shield should be ashamed for referring this company. I've kind of had it with them too. I'm purchasing a new dryer today and just for routine maintenance I'm having my vent cleaned by another company for less than $100 . Don't let these people in your home. read more

The technician did a reset and told my wife that she needed to unplug the fridge to complete the resent because he couldn't figure out how to get the fridge away from the wall. AHS assigned Superior. He meet with my tenant and said this 21 year old dishwasher is old. The disperser button in the machine for the rinse broke off while washing. No big deal the new pods have it in them. A small piece broke off the front panel having nothing to do with the operation of the dishwasher that currently is not cleaning the dishes. The claim was denied by AHS due to abuse. Its 21 years old. It would have broke earlier if abused. While at the house he barely looked at dishwasher, talked about his father's alzheimer's. Absolutely horrible service. I attempted to use them through my home warranty. The first time they showed up they could not figure out what was wrong with my refrigerator and why it would not maintain temperature. I asked the tech if he thought it might be the coils being dirty or needing service. He replied confidently that that definitely was not the problem. The second time he came out he informed us it was in fact the coils and they would need servicing but he would need a second person to help him pull the fridge out. And since then it's been crickets. Not a phone call. Not a text. Not a nothing 2 weeks. I do not trust them to work on my appliances and I think they're severely unqualified to do this work. I was assigned this company for my American Home Shield home warranty. They came as scheduled and did not seem knowledgeable about dishwashers. He simply said he could not detect a motor failure. American Home Shield said they never filled in a diagnosis so they could not proceed. I called Superior and they eventually got back to me and said there was nothing to diagnose because he could not detect a motor failure. The dishwasher had an error message that indicated motor failure. Moreover the dishwasher failed to clean the dishes. Do not use this company they do not know what they are doing. read more

Liars, cheat, conmen, whatever you'd like to call them...NEVER agree to have this company in your home! We have dealt with them several times over the years, due to various home warranty company using them. Each time, we have had to escalate the issue, because their standard MO is to lie on the report they send to the home warranty company, close the ticket before work is performed, ignore all calls (from the homeowner and from the home warranty company), and let this go on for months. Then and only then...if the homeowner is tenacious and won't let up...will they finally fix the problem, and always sub par. That Superior Appliance is even still in business is appalling. NEVER have them even out to your house to begin with! Feb. 2024 - Our most recent issue has been a dishwasher door that needed to be fixed (the spring component has broken). They came out, and the guy left only saying to me that he had to "contact his company to see about a part." But in the report he sent to American Home Shield, he said he "couldn't access the dishwasher, because the floor prevented him from doing so." He never asked me nor my husband to give him any additional access - and it's easy to do, he was just lazy and lying. I have called the company multiple times and it goes to voice mail. I call AHS every day and they also call the company and leave voice mails. This has been going on now for over a month...still no resolution. They are simply crooks. read more
