Normally I check reviews before I go into new places, but we stopped by after getting food in that plaza because we noticed it on the way in and figured why not check out this store that only sells beef jerky? We bought the brisket as well as the beef jerky clusters, both were very good, but for me the star of the show was the brisket. I'd definitely come back to check out the other flavors.

My husband needed a haircut because of my graduation and his go to barber was out. But we were leaving for my graduation the very next day, so he found this haircut spot by work and I happened to park right next door. I look up and I see, Superior jerky. My normal instinct, Yelp. So I yelped the place and saw how highly rated this place was and was intrigued with their jerky chips. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the gentleman who owns the place. He instantly apologized for the current stock as he was making the chips fresh currently. I told him it was totally okay, and I happened to be in the area because my husband was in dire of a haircut since we were leaving for Arizona the next morning. He showed me the types of jerky he offered and the different kinds. I ended up buying one of each that were available and I'm not mad at about it. The owner explained to me that he is a small business and the reason for the small quantity is because he makes the products fresh and wants to keep it fresh for his customers. My Yelp stars in my head are going up while talking to him and listening to how he cares about the products and his customers. Once I left, my husband also happened to be done with his hair cut. To his surprise, he asked me what did I buy?! But after opening one to try, we were both shocked on how big each piece was and the moment you bite into them...it was CRISSSSPPYYY!! Driving down from the 91 on the heart of traffic was not what everybody looks forward too, but munching on these jerky actually didn't make me think about the traffic that much. The next day we were sad that we only had a little left but I really wanted my aunt and grandma to try it. Let's just say.. after they tried it while driving to Arizona, we looked forward to going home and buying more! 2 weeks after coming home from my Arizona, my family and I said goodbye to my cousin who passed away unexpectedly. While our minds were elsewhere, I actually brought these bad boys out for my family to try. They loved it so much that one of my cousins and his girlfriend drove to Anaheim to pick more up. Like what people say.. It's true.. food do bring people together.

The jerky here is flavorful and unique in that it's almost like a chip in texture

Located in a strip mall in Tustin, this place sells seemingly one thing and one thing only. And that's delicious beef jerky (actually, I think they have limited other snacks and bottles of their sauces for sale). Not sure if it was later in the day, but during my visit, it was really chill inside the space and its set up like a specialty retail store. The person behind the counter was friendly and helpful. The style or their jerky is something I don't think I ever had before. While I'm a fan of good beef jerky in general, usually, it's a little thicker and chewy. A lot of the time, it gets stuck in my teeth, which in turn necessitates some dental floss. Not these jerky treats! These are almost razor thin and have a crisp to them, not unlike a chip. I came in an purchased a bag of their 'Sweet & Spicy' flavor to enjoy while driving around and running errands. I devoured the entire bag within a relatively short period of time. These snacks are delicious and addictive. The meat seems lean so I would even put them in the healthy category. Not sure why I had them bookmarked to begin with, but glad I was in the area and it popped up on one of my collections. Definitely coming back and buying more bags when I'm back in the area.

$12/bag. I like both of these flavors! 1/14/2023

A friend of mine brought me some Superior Jerky to try and they are SO good! These are not your regular beef jerky where it is chewy in texture. No, these are best described as beef chips. They are paper thin and very crispy. It's definitely worth trying if you've never had them before. I tried the Flaming Spicy as well as the Sweet and Spicy flavors and they were both really good. It's $12 a bag and I find it a bit pricey because you don't get a lot in one bag. Despite the price, I am a fan and will be returning to purchase some in the future!

If you're into the thin crispy style of Jerky, this is one of my favorites so far. Little gem of a store and the staff was really sweet :)

Even though each store has a strengths, I feel like overall Bristol Farms is the better of the two. This is speaking as millennial and maybe Bristol Farms serves a more immature crowd. Hopefully it stays that way. They have everyday products and they have very niche products. Literally something for everyone their bakery is delicious and of course they have their classic big cookies that are served warm. I haven't had anything from the juice/coffee bar yet, but I will next, however the poke bar and the hot bar, never disappoints and that is why I'm writing this review finally. Today I had a flounder piccata mashed potatoes, perfectly roasted vegetables, and pasta Bolognese with huge chunks of beef. Everything was delicious. The flounder even remained crunchy two hours after leaving the store they don't have the variety in the hot bar that Whole Foods has, however, the quality is far superior, and the flavor is in the upper echelon compared to Whole Foods. These are consistent findings within the self-service food area even within the deli carving station. Sometimes they have turkey briskets. I believe I've even purchased prime rib there and the quality and flavor is always on point consistently the presentation of all of their items never fails either also, every time I go to Bristol Farms you're always greeted with a smile. The staff is really nice and in general they look like they're happy to be there which makes the shopping experience that much better.

I inquired about why the self checkout stands are always closed here and the cashier Joanna replied with a snarky attitude about not being able to "watch" the self checkout or something along those lines. For a "premium" grocer, the less than "premium" customer experience is definitely not the case at Bristol Farms.

I…read morestill remember the old deli that was there prior to this restaurant and I've seen numerous social media ads and posts about the place so I wanted to check it out. I think I was a little hesitant because in my head I was thinking how good could possibly really be? In my head spaghetti/pasta is something I can make it home and almost thought it a waste of money to go out of my way to go out specifically to eat this dish. I ordered the Arrabiata pasta with the sausage. I'll admit I was a little thrown off by added cost of each tolling and also added cost of the Arrabiata sauce and I also did wait until a fair amount before the food was ready for takeout. But the pasta really blew me away. I'm still thinking about how good it tasted. I would definitely come back and I actually wanna bring my dad who loves spicy pasta like this. It was really that good. I can't think of another place that has this level of pasta let alone this price. The only negative I would say in regards to one of the workers. The cashier was manned by wonderful woman who did every and all tasks from taking the orders to putting food items in the oven to answering the phone I'm probably much more than that. I don't know. In contrast there was an Asian man with a black shirt who was also working. He looked lost and completely helpless. There was a moment where this woman was so busy and there was a ringing that I assume was from either a phone call or a delivery order. This man did not offer to help more nor did he help from what I saw. He was utterly helpless and unhelpful. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with the encouragement "Hey help your team out!" The woman on the other hand was doing so many things simultaneously and yet was really kind at the same time. Anyways, I'm giving my review of a five star because I wanna see this place succeed and I'll definitely come back .

The bread they served while we waited for food was extremely salty and inedible. Their steak Italian sandwich was dry. It needed sauce or something. My husband and I consider ourselves sandwich connoisseurs, and we honestly can't believe we don't come here more often.
