I called to make an appointment with Dr Biegel and was told that my insurance had to be verified first and I would get a call within 48hrs. Although, I told them I have a PPO and my insurance is the recommended her. I gave them my info and didn't get a call for 3 days. I called them on the third day and was told they needed my SSN to verify my insurance. It's been 2 weeks and no call back. I've been in the medical field for almost 15 years and find this very unprofessional and distasteful. I will never even think about scheduling an appointment here again. read more

I'm an existing patient here. I did my ultrasound in August and until now they haven't called me back. I called to follow up twice - the first time they said they don't have my results yet when I have access to Radner since I work in the medical field as well and they said they will call me back. I made sure they have my updated number. The second time I called, it was the same thing. No results and will call me back the next day. No call after a week. I know it can get really busy but if they say they'll do it, they should be putting effort. Imagine if this happens to one of their family members - their parents or grandparents or siblings. I'm sure they'll be upset when no one is attending to their family members. They should be applying that mindset to their patients like what we do in our clinic. read more

Me and my family had Dc Biegel as our primary doctor and frankly it was a really terrible experience as far iscustomer service . We move from la Miarada city to Upland and use to have Dc Rubalcava as our primary doctor and never experienced nothing like that for 18 years . Firts time we heard that you as a patient needs to call your insurance provider for every single test or exam they requested . I honestly feel like you are just a number at that office and every time we had doctor appointment we were like intimidated just because we were unaware what attitude we will face in that office . Thanks God we move to red lands and now we have a great primary doctor so far where they do all the things exactly the way it was with doctor Rubalcaba . Susan Biegel has been wonderful every time I saw her but her staff is the problem. July 25th, I called to update my insurance, as it has changed. I did not receive a call back, despite being told I would. August 1st, I am told that my insurance could not be verified. I provide my insurance information once again and did not receive a call. August 12 th, I call to verify my insurance and I am told it is verified, so I make an appointment. August 13th, the office calls at 4:53PM and I am unable to answer. I call back 10 minutes later and the office is closed. I listen to the voicemail and I am told that my insurance is expired so I have lost my appointment. August 14th, I called to figure out why the appointment was cancelled and to ONCE AGAIN, provide my insurance information. I receive a call back and am told that my insurance IS verified, but the primary care is not assigned to Dr. Biegel. I ask if the office can change it and Kayla, the office person, tells me that they are not trained. Kayla stated that even if I changed my PCP today, that I would still lose my appointment. I am so frustrated by this situation. The lack of communication, follow through, and competence made this experience so much more difficult than it needed to be. read more

While she seems great at first, you will quickly come to realize that Dr. Biegel is only about the money. If you are a PPO or MediCare patient, you will be treated like royalty. If you're an HMO patient, you will be treated like a burden and will be given MAYBE one in person appointment where you don't even get to see her, and everything else will be done over the phone. If you're thinking of working for her- don't. The work environment is so toxic and overly competitive for the little amount of money/benefits you get. I had an appt today with Dr Biegel over the phone. The MA asked me a few questions first. I think her name was Madison. She was nice and professional. Dr. Biegel listened to what I had to say and addressed all my concerns. I didn't feel rushed but heard. I've been going to Dr Biegel's office since 2019. At first her receptionist or the girl who answered the phone to schedule my appt didn't know what she was doing. She mixed up my appt for my FMLA paperwork and scheduled me for an Annual exam. Not a big deal tho. But over the years she changed her staff and the girls who work in the front now and the girls who answer the phones are on it. I never had an issue with scheduling an appt, with my medication refills or even with my referrals. My referrals got done in a timely matter.. read more

I purchased a Dexascan online and when I called to schedule, I was told there were no appointments available until August, which is useless because the dexascan confirmation code only works for 3 months. The person I spoke to looked for another appt, but when she found out I hadn't seen the dr before she refused to schedule me. Why allow your business to be listed as a dexascan business if you can't provide the service? Horrible business practice. read more

She has taking meticulously good care of me ,and gone above and beyond ,to get me the appropriate outside care I need. She is kind ,thoughtful and professional. Would give zero stars if possible. I was a patient for about 2 years and in that time I had seen the doctor twice. The doctor was very professional and helpful but cannot say the same about the office staff. The office staff at this office are incapable and very condescending. My 16 year old could operate office equipment better than them. I had waited for the office to send over my doctor visit notes to my nephrologist well over 3 months. I don't get how difficult it was for them to fax over my doctor visit notes. I called at least once every other day for a straight month. Every single time the staff would ask for the fax number, and I was promised before the end of day it would get faxed. My referral almost expired because it took them that long to get their act together. I have one kidney and its function has been declining and so you can imagine the amount of unnecessary anxiety this situation had created. My second and final straw was when my sleep study results were not being faxed correctly to the supplier of the cpap machine I was to get. I am not exaggerating when I tell you this: I called every other day for 3 weeks and talked to all the staff at one point asking them to please fax my prescription with the pressure# needed for my machine so that the cpap company could issue my machine to me. The doctor's' office was faxing my sleep study not the requested prescription with pressure setting. I have family that has passed away in their sleep due to sleep apnea. I don't go to the doctor for anything that isn't serious (I was accused of this, as you will see later). By the last week before I decided to change doctors I called the office requesting to make an appointment with the doctor so that I may ask him or her to give me the white script with the prescription at the appointment and I would send it myself to the supplier. The person I told this to over the phone said she would not make an appointment for me because I wasn't sick. I told her I was sick, I have sleep apnea and need to get my prescription as soon as possible. She told me she can't make appointment for me and literally, with no exaggeration, she hung up on me. I called back and I told her I want to make an appointment and told her to please not hang up on me until I'm finished with the conversation. She insisted I couldn't make an appointment and that I was holding up the phone line for people who were actually sick! She hung up on me a second time. The third time I called back she said that my conversations have been recorded like that meant anything to me. If anything they would expose their incompetence . I told her I needed this resolved asap and can wait on the line to speak to a physician over the phone if I can't make an appointment to see them in person. The person on the other line put me on hold and when she came back on the phone said that she will have my script ready for me to pick up and I could pick it up anytime before they close and that they were not going to fax it again to the supplier. I couldn't wait any longer and shouldn't have had to wait 3 weeks for them to send a white script with a pressure# to the supplier. I wasn't happy that I had to go pick it up myself but at least I knew it was a sure thing and I was more capable of faxing it myself and would have the assurance the supplier would receive it correctly. I made sure to get copies of my two visits worth of doctor visit notes and documents because after I left I put in a request for a new physician. By doing so I hopefully saved my new physicians office a world of headache. I could only imagine how difficult it would be for them to get my doctor visit notes....these people are unbelievable. Oh and before deciding on my new physician you best believe I made sure to look at the physician reviews this time around before choosing my doctor. Again, I only saw the doctor twice and have no complaints about my experience with them. My complaint is with the incapable staff of her office. read more

I am going to need you to read this ****Trigger warning**** I am going to have to make a separate yelp given that I would like my identity to remain anonymous, this is a small city. Never have I even MET this doctor in the two years that I was affiliated with this place. The lengths that I would have to go to in order to even get a call back was absolutely ridiculous. These people made me constantly jump through hoops in order to even be seen. This doctor office almost made it impossible for me To get the proper help and medicine I needed given I have a diagnosed illness... constant testing, for something that's diagnosed? IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME I DONT HAVE. !!!!!!!!!!!!?THAT IS NOT THE POINT OF THIS REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!! What made me leave this office was the circumstance here. I am 28 years old and in March of this year I found out that I was pregnant for the first time ever in my entire life. (Got pregnant in February) As someone who has never been through such a life changing experience before; this office has completely FAILED me. When I had called this office I shared that I was pregnant and the front desk, disclosed that she was too in which I felt comfort in. Happy for you still, much love. Fast forward to getting a referral to an OB. I know nothing... never been through this, was keeping it to myself, and time continues.... I am constantly calling this office over and over and over, being told that I'm going to get a call back, and never getting one, to calling again, and again. I couldn't even tell you how many times I called just to find out that my insurance had auto adjusted to another physician. Something they could have told me 20 phone calls prior. So I fix it, and here I am still waiting for a referral to the OB. A stressful situation becoming more stressful. I get my referral... but that is of course after I miscarry April 1st. (By no means, am I saying anything other than this place is sloppy, careless, and absolutely horrible at doing an average job sitting at the computer) So here I am, on the phone with these women, who I waited on which felt like forever calling them to figure out how to handle this NEW situation.... When all is said and done, after a hospital visit, a confirmed miscarriage by the OB, urine tests, and blood tests. The office is aware. They make a note of it, and life moves on, right? Wrong.. Nope. So tell me why, I get a call, a week or so maybe a couple weeks later, from front desk saying "congratulations, we received your hcg levels and we wanted to tell you, that you're pregnant" No actually I'm not, I waited over a month for you guys to get back to me, and I miscarried while waiting, and I had went through everything to confirm that, and here you are basically saying you people had made no note of that? Not only did this not happen one time It happened THREE separate occasions, as I told them Over and over again, That if I wasn't in the right state of mind, this could be damaging to a woman's psyche, and send someone into a downhill spiral. The absolute careless and disgusting sloppiness of this place has been one of the worst experiences of my 28 years on this earth. In a time where I'm supposed to be the most excited, these people in that office had completely failed me and stressed me out so bad to the point that I took MONTHS to write this review. But she feels she should be making decisions about my health based on ... I'm not really sure. The worst doctor and doctors office. It is so hard to get an appointment. You won't get one in person. I have had two major health concerns that were brushed off. One led to me having brain surgery, and the staff would not let me in the office. The other problem was that I received a phone call after bloodwork stating I needed to stop drinking, and that's what is causing the problem. I told them I do not drink, and they said, "Oh well, keep doing that.." what? I asked to speak to a medical professional because that was ridiculous. Genevieve at the front desk is not medically educated and literally googled my issues. I can do that. No one called, and no one scheduled an appointment. The office manager refused to let me see Susan and to see a PA. However, I saw the PA multiple times, and he stated he did not know how to help me. The office manager told me I needed to go to a gyno... im sorry the gyno is not going to help me with the mass on my brain. I kept receiving referrals for a gyno, though. Not a neurologist. Not a surgeon. I could go on and on. She is all about the money and could care less if you die from any illness you are experiencing. She should not be in practice. The worst!!! If I could give 0 I would !! I'm reporting this to the department management healthcare and to the ombudsman !!! The RN was so rude, pretty much kick me out because I told her I came for something specific and to give me a refill, Back then this place was so nice and staff was friendly, now people here are so rude and careles. This place is like going to a mechanic, you go for something specific and they end up telling you you need something else and not take care of the main reason I went for, and all they do is "we need a follow up appt in 2 weeks" . The RN said " I'm gonna make the appt if you want to come good if not it's your health no mine ". ! WHAT!?!?!?!? Who says that!!!?!!! You call to see if they can give you refill , they want new appt so doctors can see you, lol like they want appt for everything just to take money from your insurance. It's crazy, I Wish Dr Susan herself was back. This new doctor doesn't know or read my history, My health or what I've been through in the past. I should have read all of these reviews first, but went to see Dr. Biegel based on the recommendation from a friend. My first indication that this wasn't going to go well should have been when they called to cancel an appointment that I'd had scheduled for my daughter for several weeks..we ended up having to wait another month to be seen. That and the long hold times and not so great care from the office staff. When we got there we waited for at least an hour to be seen. When we finally got in, we were barraged with three different people doing three different things, kind of chaotic and weird. Then the doctor pops in in the middle of it all, says a few things to us and then starts to leave so I asked her if she was going to come in to see/talk to us again and she said yes, she would. She didn't. We were scheduled to do bloodwork (it is one of the things I asked to be done when I scheduled my daughter's appointment) but it was late in the day and the blood draw person left for the day. They scheduled us to return to the lab the next day..a hassle seeing as we were there for our appointment and had hoped to take care of the things we were scheduled to have done. They also said we'd need an additional couple of appointments to go over the bloodwork and another one to go over the things in our paperwork (we filled out a bunch of paperwork when we arrived for the appointment). Needless to say, after this experience..we cancelled the lab appointment, my daughter's follow up appointment and my new patient appointment that I had scheduled. read more

I would not recommend anyone to Dr. Biegel's office. I have had nothing, but problems on almost every visit. I am changing my doctor ASAP. My first negative encounter was when I was relatively a new patient probably close to three years ago. I called to request sone immunizations. I was asked why I wanted to get my booster shots done. I told the person I spoke to that it was required by work. She told me that I had to pay full cost and they would not bill my insurance for the immunizations. I called the insurance company directly who said that they would cover my updated immunizations. So I went to a local pharmacy store that offered the needed immunizations, they said I needed a prescription for them. When I called back to request the prescription, the person I spoke to refused and said I had to get the immunizations done in their office. I finally got to speak to someone who fixed the problem and gave me the prescription for the immunizations. I was hoping this was an isolated incident and the rude person I spoke to was having a rough few days or something. Second horrible experience was when I made an appointment to have a well women exam done. My appointment was made for an afternoon. I took the time off of work to go to the appointment to be told that I didn't have an appointment and they were too busy to see me. So, I had an insurance change in between my previous visit and this visit so apparently they cancelled the appointment and didn't tell me because their policy is that you can't have an appointment until the insurance gets ran. I have no problem with that policy, but I was not informed that my appointment was cancelled and I had taken the time off of work to be there. They basically told me I was out of luck until I sat down in their waiting room and called the insurance company to change my pcp and after overhearing that the insurance company was encouraging me to file a grievance with the doctor. Then all of sudden they were able to see me, however, I did have to wait well past their closing time to be seen. I went in to be seen for some pain in what felt like my lung in May. I was given a lab form to go get my regular labs done at that visit. I assumed all was well because I heard nothing until late July. I get a call telling me that my blood cell count was off and I needed more labs. Really? Over two months later? The results for the new labs were given to me promptly and a prescription was ordered right away. Meds that I probably should have started over two months before. Glad nothing bad happened as a result of not getting on meds sooner. This brings us to the straw that broke the camel's back. I booked an appointment through the online booking system yesterday. I got an email confirming my appointment request and stating that I will get an email confirmation to confirm the appointment. I wait around until the afternoon. Knowing that they have cancelled appointments before without my knowledge, I call to check. When I called I was told that it was a good thing that I called because they don't always see the online request and can you guess what I was told next? That's right. They didn't see any appointments request for me in the system. I asked if she could at least schedule me for the time that I requested. She said that I couldn't have possibly requested an 8am appointment because there aren't any providers in at 8 am on Friday. If the online appointment scheduling system is that flawed, it probably shouldn't be used. I made the appointment for 9:45 on Friday, but I am going to call in the morning and cancel. It is kind of a waste of time to discuss my lab results with a doctor that I will be changing as soon as the insurance allows me to change. I was told that the change will take effect October 1st if I can select a new doctor by September 15. If you choose Dr. Biegel's office for your doctor, I hope you have a much better experience than I have had. I am done being called a liar about appointments that I have scheduled and am later told I had no appointment or I couldn't possibly make a request like that. I understand a request is simply a request, but when the staff tells me I couldn't have made a request for a certain time and I did, that is implying I am a liar. It's been 3 1/2 years since my last review of Dr. Biegel and her practice and I am happy to report that the quality of service and care my family receive from her practice is EXCELLENT. I had neglected myself for the past 2 years and she called me on it LOL! I am glad she did because now I'm on a path to great health and weight loss. Her staff is amazing and not for one second do you feel like a total stranger in her office. I guess the sign on her door reads well: "Come as Strangers, Leave as Friends" because I have not seen many people leave her practice disappointed or upset. One thing I like about Dr. Biegel is that she gives new Medical Assistants and nurses a chance. Some may view this negatively by taking on new people with little experience but I think it's a plus. She is mentoring the future generation of doctors and nurses by sharing her knowledge and experience in the medical field. My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Bielgel now for over 5 years and she has NEVER let us down. I recommend Dr. Biegel to anybody looking for an AMAZING doctor with a great practice. read more

WHY CAN THIS OFFICE NOT GET THEIR PHONE ANSWERING SYSTEM IN ORDER??? I have a job, and the only time I can really call is at my lunch. If they are closed at lunch, then there needs to be a recording simply stating that, instead of the phone ringing incessantly. -- that was yesterday. Today, I kept getting some woman asking for "the patient's date of birth", then placing me on hold for double digit minutes, before the system declared "There's been an internal error, and you will be disconnected". There has rarely been a time that I called when there wasn't some bizarre issue - whether it was no one answering, or people who don't know how to transfer calls and hang up on you. First time at this office for a routine physical from a referral from a friend at my company. Upon entering the office, the exterior of the building looked clean and maintained. The interior of the office space Dr. Biegel resides has a waiting room that seats about 20-30 people and was clean. Decorations seemed welcoming and uplifting. There is only one restroom inside the office space, and it was kept stocked and clean. I then check-in at the front desk and was greeted by a friendly face. I was about 20 min early for my appointment, but was actually in a patient room 10 minutes before my appointment time and then seen by Dr. Biegel herself less than 5 minutes later. Overall her employees were courteous and friendly, even though they seemed to be busy. The whole appointment for me took no longer than 30 minutes. read more

Wow, I mean wow, very, very , unprofessional, I would not ever, ever, recommend this medical office. Let me explain, Two years ago my wife had to get alternative medical insurance due to the loss of her previous medical provider Kaiser, that she had for over Forty years. She never once had any problems with them so being that this medical office looked so promising and close by, my wife was extremely excited at first. it took a few weeks to finally get a appointment because of Course the office staff needed to make sure that she had proper medical coverage, at the time of the appointment, she was scheduled to meet with the new Doctor. she was informed that she was actually going to see the physician assistant instead??? it's been two years and she has still not been able to see the Doctor???( if she exists at all ). my wife has many health issues and high blood pressure is one of them. at Kaiser there were no issues with filling her refills they always gave her enough to avoid from ever missing days! This medical office continues not to follow through on her refills but has not only put my wife's health in danger? They continue to ask her to get blood work every time she needs a refill. They do not do any service's in house, if you need a X ray's you need a referral, if you need blood work you need a referral, and of course if you need a copy or blood work information they always seem to have miss placed It ? the calling back-and-forth with CVS and the medical office just to try and get refills is very stressful !!! For any refills some require three pills a day and of course she will only get one a day? The medical office personnel are in need of better knowledge and training. My wife always seems to get the insurance company involved just to take care of the same thing every time. the ins company are onboard as ourselves and everyone that we've spoken too that the staff are idiots!!!! When she actually gets her refills, they only give her enough for thirty days when Kaiser would give her three months worth. And wasn't ask to come in and see a doctor that doesn't exist before they can authorize a refill, but again, how can you get a refill authorization if the doctor doesn't exist ??? my wife can never seem to talk to the doctor in person or by phone. Worst experience I have ever had with a medical office staff. Went in for a simple consultation over a treatment they had advertised on their website. Made it clear I was a cash patient from day 1. Along the way I asked questions on cost at every step and reminded the staff I was not insured. What was supposed to be a $120 initial office visit to consult and then a follow-up appt for $80 ended up costing me nearly $900 for a consultation; NOT treatment, a CONSULTATION! Anyone reading this, ask yourself that if you asked about all costs associated with a consultation would you pay nearly $900 out of pocket for a consultation?? No not in your right mind you wouldn't. So please read further.... At my consultation the PA said he was able to pull up my labs from a previous consultation with another clinic I had only 1 week before. I should have been skeptical when they did not want to use recent labs I had done from LabCorp only 1 week prior to consult with me about their treatment options. They claimed they needed a new blood draw (remember I am a cash patient). Before giving my blood I asked what the cost would be that is associated with the lab and the technician walked to the front desk to ask. He returned and said it will just be $80 for the follow-up to go over results. The day of my follow-up appointment they only spent approximately 30 seconds on my lab result that I was most interested in consulting about. I was not even handed or given my lab results; I had to request a copy from the front desk mailed to my house. As I left the office I thought this was the end of my consultation and $200 spent out of pocket. I did not have a good experience at this point because literally one or two PA's and three different doctors kept popping in to simply handle a consultation with me about a particular treatment they have posted on their website. Why was it this difficult and disorganized to speak to one person about treatment options and costs?? Approximately two months later I am blindsided by a $666.00 lab bill from Quest Diagnostics that I owe for a simple blood draw that I was told by this staff would only cost me the $80 on the follow-up appointment. This staff payed me no respect to answer my questions about costs honestly and give me the option of choosing to move further in this consultation or not. Had I known that a simple blood draw that was free with my consultation at another office was going to be even in the hundreds of dollars with this office, I would have elected to stop the consultation right then. And their handling of this matter is even more disappointing because I gave them literally 3 months to help me out on this matter, work with me to make it right. Is it not a doctor's oath to "do no harm"? Shouldn't that include do no financial harm? The front office staff blew me off for nearly a month, and then I got nowhere with the PA I initially met with for the next month, finally by the third month I was in contact with the Administrative Assistant. Both the PA (Ismael) and the Administrative Assistant (Sarah) admitted to me over the phone that it was their mistake I even remember the acknowledgment that their "staff needs to go through further training". Why does the patient have to eat the costs of an office staff's mistake? To add insult to it all I last contacted Sarah about this issue after giving her 2 weeks to get back to me over a better resolution. This was 3 whole months after I first called this office to complain. I was about to be sent to collections and that did not phase them, I was intern blown off for the last time with no response and am still currently making a monthly payment over a ridiculously expensive CONSULTATION. At the end of the day I consider myself a patient person and give respect and communication up front and expect the same in return. Often times mistakes do happen and it's not about overreacting to them and blowing a fuse but giving the other side the opportunity to show how they will handle the mistake and if they have any respect for you. Sadly I was treated with little respect of my financial situation and the months I spent giving this office the opportunity to do the right thing. I felt taken advantage of that I was vulnerable enough to trust this office in seeing if they could help in my situation. They just made my situation both financially and physically worse with the stress and mistrust this all caused. Now I am even more skeptical of the intent of these doctors and how they run their businesses. This staff as a whole acted in a manner to just wipe their hands clean of the cash patient whom asked for a consultation and that they mislead along the way. I hope this is not a clear example of our medical system as a whole where it's about Profits over Principles. read more

This use to be a good office but the past 2 years everything has been horrible including the ones who answers the phone. Mis information, confusion, and its become very concerning and alarming. Covid era changed everything. Good luck in trying to get an appointment. More money driven, Be careful people. read more

The Dr. Is knowledgeable and caring. However for the three years she has been my doctor getting refills on basic maintenance prescriptions is always a major problem because the staff member who handles prescription refills demands patient make a special appt to come in to see the doctor despite the fact the patient had just seen the doctor recently. There is no medically necessary reason for the appt and must be to be able to charge insurance for visit. And there is a constant change of medical personnel, most of which have no name tags. I am saddened to have to seek another doctor. read more

While I've always had great experience with dr. Bengals PAs every time I've called the office I've had horrible experiences with her receptionists. Eden especially made an easy conversation for a physical 20 minutes and a whole lot harder. read more

I would give 0 stars for this office !!!! The front desk person who answered the phone started off with somewhat of an attitude, told me that I had to call her back in two days to be approved. My insurance is valid and ready to go. I called back in two days and said sorry we're understaffed and you'll have to call back in a few more days basically wanting me to wait a whole week to see if my insurance clears which my insurance clears, while I was speaking to her on the phone, she said there's nothing I can do for you you're not our patient. I said set up an appointment for me so that way I don't have to wait any longer. She said it's against our protocol we cannot set up appointments without you being a patient very rude. I asked nicely if she could help me. I'm in pain I need to see a specialist I need to get an MRI. She said you're not our patient. We can't help you right now so I did tell her she was rude and I would not be going to that office. I don't know anything about the doctor never been to see the doctor, but the front desk that should be a sign that that is not a place to go. I would not recommend this office because of the way the front desk speaks to you.keep looking around ! And after coming on Yelp, and seeing all of the poor reviews, basically saying the same thing that I'm saying please do not go there or Susan Beagel fix your front desk!!!!! if Susan Beagle reads this maybe she can do some thing about the way her staff speaks to patients or two new patients service. When you are in need of excellent care for you and family Dr. Susan C Biegel is the #1 in the area.I personally worked in healthcare for many years and I admire the staff of Dr. Biegel,very professional and kind. Oralia Cuellar is amazing.I was in so much pain and handle pain real good but I made a last minute call and I was told "come tomorrow" first appointment.I love the treatment and care of Dr. Biegel,everyone in the office are a perfect 10.Bedside manners are great. As a professional in the healthcare this is a place a recommend.Dr. has been taking care of my family,my mom is 92years old and thanks to God and Dr. Biegel her health has been restored.We just love the atmosphere and all the care provided!!! read more
