Great views and decent food sums it all up. The food is reasonably priced and well made. I've tried everything from nigiri sushi, chirashi sushi, maki rolls, tempura, katsu, etc. Fish is fresh. Nothing to write home about, but definitely okay for a local joint. They don't have alcohol license so it's BYOB. Could be a good thing if you remember to bring your own since it will cut down on cost. By the way, this place is owned by Koreans (all staff are Korean). There is one dish that's not on the menu that I really enjoy, which is "hwe-dup-bap." Basically, it's raw fish, jullianned radish, roe, lettuce, and other vegetables over rice (with some Korean vinegared hot sauce to put on top). I think this is actually their best dish . What a hidden gem this place is! I've always seen the sign for this restaurant but never thought to give it a try until tonight. I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a tiny place but with big windows and a nice view of the city. The place was packed (which is always a good sign). Seems to be a byob place (good to know for next time!). We have been here many times, however after what happened at our last visit it will for sure be our LAST visit. They wanted my 2 yr old to wear a face mask just to enter the restaurant and sit down at a table only 12 feet from the door. It seems as if covid has made many people wannabe doctors all of sudden. Of course as adults we have no problem wearing a mask but my kids are so close in age that they literally look like twins (1 & 2) and to judge for yourself that one does and one doesn't need to wear a mask is extremely laughable. The owner was very condescending and had "racist like behavior" . I came in to get an order I called ahead to get. The receptionist told me 7-10 mins it would be ready. Honestly it is pricy, even for a Japanese spot. Having take out from this place isn't really worth it because the price factors in the service and the view. That being said the food is pretty good. I had the bulgogi, chicken, spider roll, California and cucumber roll. The last two are extract like anywhere else. The spider roll isn't as big as the standard one but tastes the same. The bulgogi is pretty good, not too saucy, not dry either. The sides are limited, the bed of onion is nice but they also give literally one slice of carrot, one head of broccoli, and one head of a cauliflower. The chicken is also pretty nice, juicy but well cooked, same sides. Soup is slightly sour but very drinkable and doesn't taste like it came from a cheap box. Salad is ok, really not special at all but a good way to clean your palate after the meal. If your gunna pay a hundred bucks for a meal, stay in there and enjoy the service and view. The inside area is a good space, and was packed on Friday night. I noted that most people were enjoying a nice wine selection with their sushi. We decided on trying two specialty sushi rolls - volcano roll and fuji roll. I have had volcano roll at most restaurants and can say that this one was pretty average. Usually, the sweet sriracha sauce along with the topped crunch is what makes volcano rolls great, but this one did not have enough sweet sriracha. The fuji roll was average as well. After giving the "just okay" verdict to these specialty rolls, we decided to try the spicy tuna roll and spicy scallop roll - which surprisingly were more enjoyable than the former two. The standard rolls had a lot more taste to them and you could taste the distinct tuna and scallop fillings. I definitely recommend the spicy tuna roll and the spicy scallop roll! The standard rolls are cheaper, and according to my taste they were also more tasty. Service was very friendly and attentive. I noticed that the servers didn't just care about their tables but rather worked as a team to ensure everyone was taken care of at all times. For instance, other servers refilled our water cups even when our server was not nearby. Overall, it's a great place to relax and fulfill your sushi cravings. read more

We asked if we could sit at the bar and have wine until our table was ready, and they said no. What a great experience. My wife and I visited Sushi Cruise this week and they did not disappoint. The man dining area is clean and not to crowded. We chose to sit inside which offered a good view of the Hudson. The outside seating was a bit crowded and we didn't really want to wait. We had the shrimp fried rice and a couple of Spicy Tuma and Salmon rolls. The rice came in a good portion and served at a good temp. Rolls were fresh and well made. Ignore many of the negative reviews for this place because it's actually very good. We went after our stay at the Sojo spa. We wanted sushi and the options in the area were limited. I was one the fence because of the reviews but eventually decided to risk it. I'm glad I did. We got three rolls, the spicy tuna, the spicy scallop roll and the dragon roll. They were all pretty good. Never had a spicy scallop roll before and it was good. We ended the night with a fried green tea ice cream. It was delicious, the tempura batter was addictive. I go here when I'm in my hometown and am looking for a quick dinner that's comfortable, tasty with good service and a beautiful view of the city. They have tons of options as speciality rolls or you can opt for the regular rolls such as tuna, salmon, crab, shrimp and so forth. Options such as chicken/beef teriyaki are also on the menu as it's not only limited to sushi. The Kani salad is delicious and fresh. I always get it as an appetizer. Embarrassing Very bad experience! Usually I do not write any reviews but this crossed the line. My wife went to sushi Cruise today to take her 85-year-old mom for her birthday for lunch she has been harassed by assistant manager because she asked him a question about seating outside and when she said it's going to be three people instead of two he got very upset and told her why did you tell me it 2 people and now it 3 ? when my wife said sir you're being very rude and I don't understand why he said I'm gonna throw you out and I will call the police just like that . My wife is a classy woman who is a professional she did not raise her voice or made any scenes, she was just trying to make her mother happy they have been going to that restaurant for years there is no customer loyalty. My wife was in tears. Within 15 minutes police arrived while they were trying to sit them at the table police was very supportive great guys in blue! At the end my wife left she will never go there again she still didn't get the managers name they wouldn't even give it to the police. We called twice they still not giving us the manager or the owners name. Pure harassment against my wife she was a female with her elderly mother I am more than positive that if I would be there that would not happen. read more

The rice is soft, the fish is fresh, the flavors are all there. I've tried almost all of the rolls on the Special Roll menu but seem to always go back to Fuji Roll and my husband loves the Savory roll. I love their edamame, miso soup, salads, dumplings... I mean I can go on and on. LOCATION: I love this location because it's easy to get to, it's in a corner of a plaza (not tricky to me, just more intimate) and there's plenty of parking although some good places are arriving and parking is getting scarce STAFF: I've never had a bad experience with any staff member. Everyone is so lovely and polite and attentive. ATMOSPHERE: Romantic but can be family friendly too. During the summer, the deck is open and you can eat outside. Found this place driving home from Stottville, NY. Ordered a sashimi platter to-go and was excellent. Came back 5 months later, decided to eat-in, thinking "if their sashimi platter was wonderful, dining-in won't disappoint!". Soup was warm and old veggies were used. Salmon rolls were okay. Crab rolls - IMITATION CRAB MEAT. Was advised by the manager "This is our custom roll. We serve imitation crab meat everyday without complaints. If you don't like, why order?!" Was just baffled and walked out. Server was very attentive and more than likely knew something was going to be said about the imitation meat. I was going to give 3 stars, but after the Manager's comment... Sorry. I do hope as a Manager, he learns how to speak to patrons and not be aggressive. read more

He said "this is not a white table cloth or high quality place so I should temper my expectation, I'm here eating raw fish and being told that this is not a high quality place. The service is horrible, no manager on duty. I was told to leave my phone number and the manager will call me, waited a week and no call was received. Do yourself a favor and find another sushi restaurant. Wait staff needs to be trained better and girls and the front desk needs to take complaints serious and try not to be dismissive. The location at first throws you off a bit but once you step inside you see there is a patio area where you can sit by the river looking at Manhattan.
