The food was okay. Management was horrible. My sushi roll tasted mostly like cream cheese. I informed the waiter and requested another roll. However, she wasn't able to make any accommodations and insisted I pay for a roll the sushi roll anyway. As she sent the manager to our table, he had a very hostile approach. He proceeded to speak over the women aggressively then told us "How about I take it off your tab and you get out and don't come back." He never tried to be professional and make sure the guests were having a great experience, he just cared about what was convenient for him. As I turned around he was mouthing to another coworker that he didn't give a shit. We ended up leaving because of this horrible experience. I hope this place gets better management! read more

This was our first time here and my cousin had recommended it. Food was soooooo good! We were greeted right when we entered, and the owner, Ryan, was super cool. The ambience was refreshing and hip. Highly recommend. I would introduce this place to friends and family. My favorite roll was the Snow White and Cutie Baby. ALWAYS get the domo tower, it comes with like shrimp chips you can eat it with and it is hands down the best tower ever. If you want a little excitement in your life get the volcano roll, they set it on fire. Pros: Amazing service. The servers were super polite and kept to covid regulations. The bento box my boyfriend ordered was filled with food and tasted good. The decor, seating, and walls are very cute. I like the dim lighting of the restaurant. Cons: Straight up got sick from the food. Pretty sure from the salmon roll which was so not fresh it looked like tuna. The sushi also wasn't that good, besides the shrimp tempura roll. The salmon had no taste (probably bc it was old or not good quality) and the california roll was stuffed with too much imitation crab with one sliver of avocado and no cucumber. I'm going to preface my review by stressing: if you order by App and have the food delivered, you're doing yourself a disservice. Located inconspicuously in a small shopping center, this gem is worth the look. I was completely, and pleasantly, surprised by four key factors which leads to this review. 1st: the atmosphere. It was well styled and appropriately lit for either a close romantic date or a casual gathering with friends. The Artwork on the walls, both behind the sushi bar and near the booth tables, appeared hand drawn and added a unique and charming touch to the business casual feel the restaurant provided. The music was entertaining without being overpowering to conversations, which were thematically similar to what you might here in an upscale lounge. 2nd: the staff. The staff were polite, educated on their menu and were not overbearing. All around good service. 3rd: the food. From what I had on the menu, I'm sure a sushi fan would be more than satisfied. Excellent quality and beautiful presentation, good selection on drinks. *personal choice critique, skip to next "*" if you wanna skip this section: Appetizers: beef tattaki- hands down the best I've had, cooked well, excellent garnishment, perfectly seasoned. "Monkey brain"- don't freak out, it's a fried avocado split into 4ths lightly tempura fried, with crab filling. Absolutely a must try. (Technically it is a specialty roll, but it substitutes well as a group appetizer) Entrees: My wife had the California roll and the Philadelphia roll, the notable thing about this, they were way more generous with the meats in the roll than most places. I had the volcano roll, flavor was great and the fish was not over cooked. Presentation was great, it was served on a plate with a flaming platter underneath. Looks cool, tastes phenomenal. I also had the unagi nigiri (freshwater eel), that was the freshest, most flavorful unagi I have ever had. If you're a fan of unagi- this is the best, if you've wanted to try it and were never sure if you'd be getting a good one- definitely try it here. *end personal choices. 4th: the price Couldn't leave without telling you, 100%, price point was great. The appetizers were about average for a sushi place, but the rolls (especially considering the quality and amount of meat they provide) were actually cheaper than some alternative sushi places. I stumbled upon Sushi Domo by accident. I wanted some sushi in the worst way and needed a place that was nearby. It is located in a random shopping center, and I was a little leerily on 1st sight. But as we all know, looks can be deceiving. The place was very intimate and a little bit too dark, but that was okay. We were seated and quickly browsed the menu. I ordered the Ohh My God (OMG) Roll and the Gyoza. My friend ordered the Fire Cracker roll. The OMG roll was pretty good. I love anything with cream cheese, so it wasn't hard to impress me, lol. The sauce was salty and sweet, and the thickness of the roll was filling. The Gyoza was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My original review is wimpy at best! This place is a favorite of mine to go to when I do eat sushi. My friend Megan is the one who found this place and introduced me to it. The sushi chefs always say Hi and wave to her when she goes in because she goes so often. Go sit at the sushi bar with Sexy Ryan if you want to be entertained....lol! The atmosphere in here is chill and the lighting is dim. Kinda romantic but just peaceful! My favorite thing to get here of course is the shrimp tempura rolls, I am not too into the raw fish..but I do like the spicy tuna roll also. They usually have specials on the wall. Ok I have been to this restaurant many times dine in and never had any problems with servers or hostess.. since all this pandemic and I want to support their business I called in to ordered pick up. Whoever took orders asked me straight on the phone if I can tip the servers 20% with my total bill was $70. "Tip servers?" I didn't even dine in? Then I said I will look at it when I pick up my orders. When my husband arrived, she asked again "to leave 20% tip". My husband already getting irritated and asked for the breakdown receipt. But he feels bad and left 10% tip anyway, she didn't even said one word thank you and gave him an unhappy face! I'm sorry to said but I'm done with this restaurant! You can have just ok food but you have to have good service to make people keep supporting your business! Update: the owner had contacted me and addressed the problem. A friend of mine brought me back a naked roll which is a rice paper sushi filled with salmon, greens and mango.. it has a chili sauce so gave it a spicy kick. So I made a visit here when I wanted to get sushi. Also got the oh my god roll which was also good. Husband got the sushi platter with spcjy tuna roll. The waitress was attentive and plenty of staff. It was a dark place and prefer a bit more lighting. The presentation was pretty and portions are good.
