I give it a good 4.5 stars for the quality and service. The rolls are good and delicious, prices are decent. We will come back again

Make a reservation at 8 Friday night and got seated right away. Ordered the most popular fish attack roll, a big bake roll and fried baby octopus appetizer. And regular edamame (so bland). The bake roll is full of cheese, yuk. But the octopus delivered above expectations. Should have ordered garlic edamame instead. Small, intimate interior, nice deco. Solid dinner

My husband and I have been long term customers of Fish Attack, it has become our go to Sushi spot whenever we crave sushi. Their fish is always fresh, service is excellent and they offer reasonable pricing. We have brought friends there and they also enjoyed it. I highly recommend this place!

Our favorite neighborhood spot! The rolls are so delicious and the fish is so tasty. Service is great. The place is pretty full on weekends and Fridays so make sure you have a reservation or are ok with waiting a little!

Every time I come here, after a few months, I'm reminded why this is my favorite Sushi spot in the city. The fish is THE FRESHEST. I kid you not. The quality here is quite literally unmatched. Best place in town. Fish Attack Roll is always my go to.

Amazing sushi restaurant in Clairemont. Be careful, they have been working on the main street for awhile & there are some major potholes. They are only open for dinner. I have been here 2x within the last 3 months & both times have been wonderful! Customer service is super friendly & attentive. You cannot go wrong with any roll here! & they have beers from Japan too. Salmon Belly Nigiri: So fresh! Fish Attack Special Roll: Tasty, like a rainbow roll with tuna, salmon & other fish. Sushi Pizza: A must order! Crispy rice as the "dough" w/ delicious spicy tuna, yellowtail & sauce on the top. Hot Kiss Roll: My fav roll, so flavorful! Bomb Bomb Roll: A go to if you are a fried soft shell crab fan. Super Dragon Roll: Love this eel roll! Gyoza: Good. Shrimp Tempura: Lightly breaded.

We got the Hot Kiss Roll, Double Kick Roll, Sushi Pizza and Spicy Tuna Hand Roll. All of them were made wish very fresh fish. The rice was perfectly cooked and plates were beautifully crafted. Service was very polite and they were busy for a random Tuesday night! The interior is modern and upscale with a fantastic choice of jazzy music. The prices are reasonable, and I would 100% come again.

Great service and excellent quality sashimi! A bit pricey but worth it if you want some quality sushi. My favorites are the kanpachi and o toro!

I came here on a whim with some friends and was completely blown away. The fish is incredibly fresh--they have toro and belly--and the portions are generous without sacrificing presentation. You can tell the chefs take real pride in their work. We ordered a variety of rolls (the Firecracker and Crispy Salmon were standouts), plus a few nigiri, and every bite was perfect. The flavors were balanced, creative, and never overpowered the quality of the fish. Service was slow at first, but friendly. The vibe is fun and casual, but still clean and modern. Perfect for a night out with friends or a laid-back date night. Prices are reasonable for the quality, too. Can't wait to come back and try more. This place has officially become one of my top sushi spots in town.

This has become my favorite sushi restaurant! My fiancé and I stopped by on a whim because of the restaurant's name, and we were blown away by the quality and selection of the fish. The toro had beautiful marbling like wagyu beef, the kanpachi was so fresh and delicate, and the ankimo was melt in the mouth delicious! Special mention for the hotate (scallop) nigiri, the scallop was beautifully cut and had a buttery mouthfeel. They also have an extensive sake and Japanese beer list with many brands I have never seen at other restaurants. The Dassai 45 was a great pairing with the nigiri we got! The space is intimate, set for mostly tables of 2, though we did see tables combined to seat parties of 4. There is always classy jazzy music playing, and the vibes are chill and cozy with warm lighting. The servers are attentive even during busy times, and are very professional. I highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance, and make sure to call for a reservation because the small space fills up quickly. Be aware that parking is limited and some spots are reserved for other businesses.

I brought my friends here for the first time and they absolutely loved it! Shishito peppers: (5/5) These were cooked perfectly and covered in a delicious sauce. Cherry blossom roll: (5/5) This is my favorite roll. It confirmed how good it was when we decided to order two of them! Chu Toro sashimi: (5/5) This was on the specials board. It comes with five good sized pieces. We devoured them so quickly. The fish was so fresh and literally melted in your mouth. Definitely recommend trying this. It's bomb. Ex boyfriend roll: (4/5) Overall good flavors, but nothing special! Probably wouldn't order again.

Sushi Fish Attack is my go-to neighborhood spot and a true hidden gem. The service is always warm and attentive, making every visit feel welcoming and relaxed even though the place is often packed. Come early. What really stands out is the quality of the fish--consistently fresh, generously thick-cut, and absolutely delicious. Whether you're a regular or stopping by for the first time, it's the kind of place that keeps you coming back.

Yes, and that's not hard to do in Japanese food. Think about it... Japan doesn't have Kansas wheat fields. Wonder what they did before trade with the U.S. or Rome? Japan wasn't on the Spice Road like China was (where soy sauce comes from).…

When they were ready, we were seated at the counter near where the appetizers get picked up. It was comfortable for me and the bf. We ordered - smoked quail eggs: served chilled. The texture was a bit rubbery but I thought the taste was ok. Bf was not a fan - eggplant and shishito peppers topped with bonito flakes: this was tasty. Both veggies were well cooked and the flavor was nice. - deluxe katsu, which included pork, shrimp and scallop plus some pickles and cabbage salad. Got the soup and rice for an extra cost: don't really think this would be as enjoyable with them. Everything was well cooked though the breading was a bit too thick for me on the seafood. The miso was hot and had good flavor. I think I liked the pork the best. - katsu curry: typical pork katsu, curry and a little pickle (forgot to get a picture): bf devoured this and was happy with the flavor and quality of the food. Our server was good and we had a pleasant experience. Will definitely make rsvp next time.

The menu posted on the windows at the entrance is what got us. Can't beat a great combo deal with ramen! Walking in we were greeted and self-ordered at the kiosk. An employee came out from the back and helped us navigate the menu. We sat down and waited for our food. It came out in a timely manner from the same employee, which we thought may be the owner. He was very friendly and helpful. Great customer service. We tried the Spicy Tontoksu Ramen with rice noodles (gluten-free) with crispy fish and the Braised Beef Ramen with fried gyoza. The food items were good & flavorful, especially considering the price point. Apparently, the ramen noodles are made in-house, which I enjoyed and had a nice bite. Overall, it's a good place and glad we tried it.

It didn't appear that they were fully set up yet when I visited during the soft opening. I say that because there were empty menu boards hanging above the kitchen service window. Two self-service kiosks and copies of the menu sheet were available along the right wall. About ten different items were available on the initial menu. More items appeared on the kiosk tablet than on the sheet. Interestingly, only two types of tonkotsu ramen were offered, one was spicy and one was not. There was more fried fare than anything else. A few things had a special discount like the Barbecue Pork Rice Bowl which I chose. I also selected the Tonkotsu Shrimp Wontons to complete my order. My food came out separately with the rice bowl first. About ten pieces of char siu pork were layered on top of the rice with steamed lettuce on the side. The meat was flavored well, but it was also fattier than I preferred. For the 33% discount, the portion size was appropriate. I don't think paying full price for such a bowl would have been a good value though. Eight wontons were boiled in a tonkotsu broth that I am sure was also used for the ramen bowls. Lettuce and green onions were included with the wontons. The broth had a strong pork flavor while the wontons were decent. I will give this place some time to get its sea legs under them before returning. I expect the menu to expand, especially with more varieties of ramen to live up to its business name. For now, I gave a three star rating for my dining experience at Fujiyame Ramen.

Today I stopped by with a friend for a light lunch and was happy to see that they're still here after all these years. One thing I've always liked about Niban is their lunch specials. On this visit, we ordered the salmon skin roll, Baja roll, and of course their croquette, which is something I almost always get here because it's consistently good. The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I remembered. The staff is generally friendly and attentive. The only minor issue I've noticed on occasion is that a server may accidentally place their thumb in the center of a plate while serving, which isn't the most sanitary practice. Hopefully that's something management can address. It's also nice to see this restaurant still doing well, especially since the shopping center feels much quieter these days with fewer businesses around besides Chipotle and McDonald's.
