Very cozy and yummy sushi spot. Simple but good rolls and love all the different textures of the rolls we got (crunch and firecracker) + they do not skimp on the tuna or avocado. Must tries: Tom and Jerry rolls and gyoza - the crispy rice and hefty scoop of tuna were great and the chive and pork filling with the crispy fried gyoza wrapper were great. Another plus, friendly service. Food came out quickly and they were all very respectfully attentive throughout dinner. We had a solid experience at sushi heaven today. We sat outside at their small patio. It was a nice outdoor space. Thank goodness for their patio. Inside the restaurant is a cramped and a darkly lit which makes for weird dining environment for eating sushi. Sushi restaurants should be light, airy, and inviting. Their interior design gets a 2 out of 5. We started with the 'carpaccio special' (3/5): hamachi slices topped with jalapeño and masago served with a ponzu sauce. The generous helping of masago overpowered the tuna. We also ordered 3 rolls: Jessica Albacore (5/5) (very clever name), Mizunara (4/5), and the Baja Cali roll (4/5). The Jessica Albacore roll is unique with its topping of fried onions. The fish was fresh and the wait staff very friendly. I can't really recommend sushi heaven unless you can sit on their patio or take the sushi to go. The interiors are so depressing, this restaurant should be a bar or pub. read more

The expectations set by the high Yelp star ratings were not met. Service was not smooth, though friendly. Chef sashimi was presented in large portions but the cuts were all inconsistent. The quality-questionable. There were a couple of pieces that were so chewy that I needed to remove it from my mouth. Also the temperature of the fish was very cold. Like cold cold. Weird. That dish arrived before the appetizers. Weird. The calamari arrived finally. I expected in a sushi place for why e calamari offering to be tubed and tentacles, but what arrived looked like a basket that would be served at a mediocre BBQ place. The breading was heavy and dark. Cold tofu was also ordered. Photo attached to show that it is most likely a store bought tofu that was cut up and topped on ice. How can I tell? There was still the recycling imprint from the plastic packaging on the tofu! I expected fresh tofu from a sushi spot offering cold tofu. The flavor and texture was much to be desired. One small corner was all I could take. The beef teriyaki... super thin beef. The whole dish was just sub par. If you are looking for good sashimi, not even great-but just good, this is not the place for you. read more

We had dinner on a 2025 April weekday. Parking was tricky---we found free street parking 2-3 minutes away from the restaurant. The ambiance was really nice. Food came pretty soon after ordering and was decent and nothing great. The quantity was on the small side. The meal was slightly on the costly side, especially considering the small(ish) quantity. Where this place deserves their 5 star is from their outstanding service. My server Rena was very kind and patient with me. Even when I was bombarding her with questions about the menu and where the fish was sourced from, she would answer all of my questions warmly. She always checked in to make sure we were ok and always spoke to us with a smile. She was very genuine and the one of the nicest people I have ever had as my server. 10/10 service, would come again. It's a quaint little joint: the restaurant is pretty narrow but decorated really cute with pictures of customers on the wall at the entrance. All of the sushi chefs and waiters were super friendly. Even when we were there a little past closing to finish up our dessert. We got to sit outside and they turned on the heat lamp for us so it was a nice experience. All the food was super delicious. We loved the fried oysters and they served it with katsu sauce. My beef katsu plate was huge and they gave me 2 full cutlets, a side salad and rice. The oyakodon was such a large serving but our daughter loved it. My husband's chirashi was a sizable portion as well and the fish tasted super fresh. Love this place! My bestie was visiting and we both have dogs. We wanted to eat on a patio with our dogs in tow and we felt very welcome on their cute little patio. It was a chilly afternoon, no worries they turned on the patio heater and it was perfect. I splurged and did the chirashi ($35) and had a spicy scallop hand roll ($8.75). I think I liked the regular scallop hand roll (had tobiko on it!) better. I had it last time but this time it was not on the menu. No big deal, everything was delicious and fresh. Ama ebi was $23.50 for 2 pieces. Seems pretty steep in price. My friend was tempted but couldn't see paying that. And no fresh wasabi. All in all this is a great place. Service was good and quick.
